The hotel comes with the added bonus of having a room available with a priceless view on St-Mark’s Square from its upstairs terrace. An unbelievable highlight of our stay. Breakfast provided ample choice of high quality food, fresh, tasty and with Italian schwung. Same goes for the bar. The staff was extremely helpful and genuinely friendly. The Resident Manager was top in sorting out our logistics problems, avoiding additional expenses. Very hard to improve, though we would have loved to get the room cooler at night. You can’t have it all in a 1605 year old city centre!

• 609kikiy (2/5): Nothing but noise all day and night from bar below hotel - If you value rest, hospitality, or functional amenities, this is not the place for you. The noise from the bar directly below is relentless, vibrating through the floorboards all day and night. To make matters worse, the AC was completely broken, leaving the room sweltering and smelling like stale cigarette smoke. The only "perk" is for those who plan on getting so drunk they can’t walk more than ten feet without falling into a canal. For everyone else, it’s a loud, hot, and overpriced disappointment. Zero stars for service and zero stars for comfort.

Arrived to a very nice personalized note both at the front desk and in our room. It is also in the best location, right by St Marks Square. Highly recommend if staying in Venice.

The breakfast is beautiful: plentiful, varied and fresh and there is the cutest bar and home from home lounge.The location is excellent and the overall ambience is classy and more 5 star than 4! We will be back as usual next year- looking forward to it already!

Bedroom lovely and big enough for table and two armchairs as well.Bed comfortable. Bathroom well equipped, bath plus efficient shower. Breakfast plentiful and healthy choices, even for my gluten free partner. In view of all this, cost was amazing. Only criticism I would make: hotel promoted a nearby restaurant, we went there but it looked pricey. Later found another restaurant close by, La Piazza, with a far better reputation and cheaper, we had 3 good meals there.

• Eriko (1/5): - Excellent location right by St. Mark’s Basilica in Piazza San Marco—very convenient for exploring Venice • Breakfast was above average • The older gentleman working in the dining area was exceptionally kind and courteous (a highlight of the stay) The bathroom had a serious plumbing issue that caused several inches of flooding, with water coming from behind the bidet and toilet (not the shower), which I documented with photos and video. I reported this, along with a video, in the morning and was clearly told our room would be changed and our luggage moved while we were out. When we returned, nothing had been done and the afternoon staff had no awareness of the situation. Instead of trying to understand the issue, they immediately suggested the water was coming from the shower during use. The room change only happened after significant follow-up at the front desk. It was presented as a “superior” room, which we had not requested, and it was essentially the same room with minimal differences. Luggage handling was also poorly managed—my son offered twice to retrieve it himself but was not allowed; a staff member said he would bring it but did not, and housekeeping ultimately helped instead. The property overall felt dated and musty. Other hotels we stayed at during this trip offered basic welcome amenities such as bottle of wine, water, and small refreshments; here, we only received a welcome letter directing us to contact management if needed, which did not reflect our actual experience when we reported the issue. Given the severity of the problem and how it was handled, I was surprised there was no effort to acknowledge or offset the experience—for example, breakfast was still fully charged at checkout

The photo montage is misleading. - The staff were very friendly and helpful, but the interior was a huge disappointment The entire hotel needs a full refurbishment, everything is out of date and looks like the 1970s, so tired. But it was at least clean. My room was on the back facade directly above a restaurant that was loud with outdoor diners and food smells in the tight allyway until late.

• gaynorh22 (10/5): Beautiful hotel in St Mark's Square - A 3 day trip for my husband's 60th in beautiful Venice. We loved the Concordia, a proper old fashioned Italian hotel. Staff were fantastically helpful and friendly ( you can do lots of trips with the hotel, some free) and the location is absolutely perfect. A nice hotel bar should the huge choice of bars in Venice be insufficient and an outstanding breakfast buffet. Lovely rooms (we paid €10 per night extra for a view over St Mark's square) lovely marble tiled bathroom including slippers and fluffy towelling bathrobes and a huge and comfortable bed. Wonderful and would highly recommend
• Alexander (9/5): Intensive 5 Tage in Venedig, die bei weitem nicht ausgereicht haben, so dass wir unbedingt wieder kommen müssen. - Sehr freundliches Personal, tolle Lage! Wir konnten alles von dort aus zu Fuss erreichen. Zimmerservice war super. Zweimal am Tag das Zimmer gerichtet. Es wird vom Hotel eine Fahrt nach Murano angeboten - kostenlos! Man sieht aber nur 10 min. die eine Glasfabrik und wird dann in den Verkaufsraum geführt. Der Druck etwas zu völlig überhöhten Preisen zu kaufen ist da. Wollten wir aber nicht. Und wurden schnell über das EG in die Schmuck und Mitbringselabteilung geleitet und dann wieder auf den Bootssteg. Wir waren einen Tag später nochmal auf der Insel und haben uns wirklich Murano angesehen und waren in einer anderen Glasfabrik. Hier hat sich unsere Vermutung bestätigt. Ganz andere Preise. Vor allem hat man mal Preise gesehen. Erstaunlich war auch, wieviel der Verkäufer von uns wusste.
• marycB4455GA (10/5): Absolutely Fabulous - Very classic Venetian building with gorgeous marble and glass chandeliers. Our room was perfect with very comfy large bed with a lovely modern bathrom with opening window. It was a classic room and we loved it. On an evening the housekeeping closed the metal shutters for us and turned on the ambient lighting which was a nice touch. Linens and everything spotless. I havnt even mentioned the fabulous breakfast. So much choice and quality fruits and breads .hot options too. Great coffee. All presented in a room overlooking the Basilica. Also a comfy lounge and nice bar area too. We loved it and the employees are so helpful. Did I mention the 1 minute walk to San Marco vaparetta stops. Also convenient walking to all bars shops and local points of interest. Would go back in a heartbeat.

• Pamela (10/5): Overall, I enjoyed my stay and would visit again...with ear plugs! - The backside of the hotel is on St. Marks square. The frontside of the hotel (entrance) is not on the square but is within a few hundred feet of an ally way that leads to the square. The square provides access to St. Marks Basilica, Doge's Palace, and the bell tower. The hotel is old world glamor and has a very warm, cozy feel, and rich feel. The rooms were ornate with chandelier light fixtures and furnishings that were fitting of Venice. Daily breakfast was very good (purchased with room reservation). The staff were very welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. It's a 5-to-10-minute walk to the upscale shopping area, restaurants, cafe's, etc. Because the hotel is on the square, it is in a noisy location. At night, there are cafes and shops open late in the ally at the front of the hotel, and in the square behind the hotel there are tourists in the square. I needed to use ear plugs to get to sleep. Additionally, I reserved a queen or double bed and was given a room with two twin beds pushed together. While the beds were overall quite comfortable, if I wanted to stretch out in the bed I had to deal with a crack between the two mattresses/beds. If the hotel does not have queen beds, they should not provide it as a room option.

• JL487 (8/5): Perfect location - We stayed for 4 nights, a group of friends (7 of us), The staff were fabulous, very friendly, and helpful, we were met by one of the porters when we got off the boat, he helped with our cases and escorted us to the hotel (about a 1 minute walk). We had a triple junior suite, and 2 twin rooms, they’d been made up as doubles when we arrived, but they came and split the beds and made them up as singles. The twin rooms were lovely, one had clearly recently been refurbished, the junior suite was fine, but is maybe due for a bit of attention. We all found the rooms to be very hot. We’d read about the bells ringing during the night, and we could hear them, but we didn’t lose any sleep because of them. We had breakfast in the hotel on our last day, a huge choice, delicious coffee (and I’m not a huge coffee fan!). We all ordered bread/croissant/pastry baskets, thinking we’d get one of each item - be warned, you get loads!! We were given paper bags to take what we couldn’t eat! A fabulous stay, thanks to the hotel staff.
• Didier (9/5): Superbe hôtel, sur le côté de la basilique, emplacement de rêve ... - emplacement de rêve ... fenêtres de la chambre, et de la salle de bain 🙃 et de la salle de pdj avec vue sur la Basilica du San Marco... et le charme désuet des établissements qui ont la patine du temps vénitien. Chambre confortable avec simple mini bar, rangement, confortable literie et grande salle de bain. ras, sauf peut être deux volées de marches pour accéder à la réception pour les personnes en difficulté... après il y a des ascenseurs.

• Claudia (7/5): Beste Lage, freundliches Personal. Zimmer hatte kleine Mängeln - Beste Lage an San Marco, sehr freundliches Personal, gutes Frühstück. Es war korrekt beschrieben, dass die oberen Stockwerke mit dem Aufzug zu erreichen sind. Ich habe aber nicht erwartet, dass wir eine Treppe mit 17 Stufen ohne Handläufe zu bewältigen haben. Da mein Mann gehbehindert ist, war das ziemlich riskant. Das Hotel würde ich aus dem Grund nicht mehr wählen. Die Klimaanlage war nur als Heizung zu bedienen,Lüftung nur über Fenster möglich. Unterhalb des Zimmers waren Restaurants, also roch es bereits morgens nach Fritieröl.

• Marco Bzh (9/5): Magnifique séjour facilité par les concirges de jour de l'hôtel - Le personnel de jour est extrêmement poli, gentil, respectueux, aimable et aidant. Ils se plieront en 4 pour vous aider. Tout est très propre et chaleureux. Hôtel calme. Le petit-déjeuner est gargantuesque : pains, céréales, oeufs brouillés, bacon, croissants, pâtisseries, fruits, yahourts, etc, etc, etc ! à 50 mètres de la place San Marco. Ponton pour taxi privé à moins de 100 mètres. Le personnel de nuit est à améliorer ... commencer par répondre au "bouanasera" serait un premier pas.

• Andrea (9/5): Hotel molto bello e centralissimo - Ottimo soggiorno al Concordia, boutique hotel ricco di tradizione e carattere. Centralissimo praticamente attaccato alla Basilica di San Marco ed al contempo "isolato" dal rumore della calle e della piazza, molto curato e personalizzato negli arredi. Camera e bagno ampi, bello e curato l'arredamento originale e non banale nè standardizzato. Forniscono accappatoi e ciabatte. Personale gentilissimo, professionale e sempre disponibile.

• Katie (8/5): Great hotel but be aware of bell - The room was lovely and felt classically Venetian. The check in was quick and the staff were friendly. There were free amenities in the bathroom and a very powerful hairdryer. Just be aware that the bell at the basillica is very close by and starts at around 7am, it is very loud and rings for a little while. If you are not wanting to rise early this may not be the hotel for you.

• Melissa (7/5): Perfect location, easy to get to and easy to find, character for days. - The location was lovely and the rooms really did have a great deal of heart and soul, character, which really appealed to us when choosing the hotel. Unfortunatley, I was unaware of the constant sounds of Venice which I now understand are part of the landscape of the city itself. However, the bells ringing all night long kept us all awake which was a pain - some sound proofing would have been excellent.
• Michelle (8/5): Really nice hotel just noisy in the night. - The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff were helpful. Turn down service was nice. Good location being close. We were in room 108 and it was very noisy. There is no double glazing and the street below was noisy at all hours. Shouting even at 4.30am one night. Church bells chiming 51 times at 12 am one night also. The shutters were shut making the room dark but the noises were so loud. Such a shame.
