Guest Reviews
- Jennifer (4/5): - Where to start. First of all the bathroom is NOT private. It is one bathroom to be shared with the other rooms. Guests must exit their bedroom and enter the common space to use the bathroom. Nowhere in the description of the “hotel” in the Expedia app does it state the bathroom is shared. Furthermore the man who checked me in would not help me with my luggage at all, even though I clearly was struggling with my bags In the very small elevator to go to the room. He was impatient and not very accommodating. He also told me that there were no other guests staying and that we would be alone in the apartment and so although the bathroom was separate from my room, it was not being shared. This was not true. Someone was staying in the room next to us with the light on and TV blaring through the night. I am not sure if it was the man that checked us although I believe it might have been. I heard him in there until at least 2am.
The hot water kettle for coffee which is stated in the Expedia description as being in the room is also not in the room. It is in the common space so one feels like they are in someone else’s kitchen when making their cup of coffee, which is extremely uncomfortable and not very hotel like at all. Also the hot water in the shower ran out after less than five minutes and was freezing cold. My partner had to take a very cold shower. All in all it was an uncomfortable experience and I am relieved we were only there for one night.
- Charlotte Z (8/5): Great location - Just right for a one night stay. Lively neighborhood.
- Gilbert (4/5): - First when we advise we will arrive around 1100am he gave us different address for the meeting point
We wait for him for 10 to 15 minutes and we told him what was the address that I booked so we walk again to this address on via natale good thing was not too far
At the end of the day air conditioning was not working in the room
When we came back at night temperature in the room was 30 degrees so hot
Have to sleep with the window opened
Was very noisy
- Johnny (8/5): - Fabio was accommodating since I had a delayed train and had to do a late check in. The room was clean, had AC and jacuzzi. I had a private bathroom, although it was located separately from the room. The surrounding area was busy and had a fun nightlife. The city’s age definitely shows on with the amount of graffiti but I never felt unsafe. There are a lot of restaurants and bars within walking distance.
- Michael (4/5): - Reminded me of being in the dorm. The advertising of private bathroom really means down the hallway past other guest rooms with a private lock and key. Wish it was explained in the offer.
- ALESSANDRA (8/5): - Punto strategico, struttura pulita e personale cortese.
- Silvia (10/5): - Great location and breakfast would recommend!
- jeff (10/5): - Great location
- Karlee (8/5): - The window sounded open even when it was closed. Very not soundproof to the noisy street below making it hard to sleep
- Stephen (6/5): Well located, but some room for improvement - The place is well located and the host was nice and check-in was relatively straightforward. However, this feels more like a private room in an apartment rather than a hotel. The bathroom is outside of the bedroom (as indicated in the room description) but if you leave the bedroom, the door does not close unless you lock the door with a key, which is inconvenient. Furniture is a little more tired looking than in the photos indicate.
- Colin (8/5): Short Stay B&B for Great Price - One night stay in the excellent Tratavere area of Rome, surrounded by bars, cafes & restaurants which was very convenient.
Out host Fabio provided an excellent service, spacious comfortable room with Air Con and a Jacuzzi, however the private bathroom is not en suite so you must cross a corridor.
Breakfast of hot drink and a pastry in the downstairs cafe was excellent and convenient.
Ideal for anyone needing a short stay at a good price
- Linda (8/5): - This is a great place to stay in a wonderful neighborhood. As it is very small, checking in is more like checking into an AirBNB. We were traveling and did not always have access to internet. I got an email asking when we intended to check in but - when I responded - it said that I could not reply to the email. We ended up standing on the street with our luggage for over an hour waiting for someone to arrive to let us in. The worst part was I was never sure that someone WAS coming! Once we got keys, the stay was fantastic!!
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location was nice, bed was comfortable, service was good, staff was good but you need a phone to contact them
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very nice. Quiet and very clean. The weird thing is the very very white eco lights. They made the room a bit cold. Warmer lights would be more pleasing. Oh well. 😊
- Pham Kim Anh (2/5): Nah no thnxs - Would not book again and would not recommend. Bad experience from the start. Made to wait on streets as no front desk. Was not aware of this. Fabio had contacted me via email that morning to ask for arrival time but we were on plane. Girl that arrived late 30mins later told us that they have been trying to contact us via email many times..don't appreciate being lied to. And that they apparently called my local phone number to find out check in. Why would you call someone's local phone when they are overseas. Only one email that morning. Quality of rooms bare and bathroom poor. Noisy pipes and doors are bad.. “local cusine" breakfast is a pastry and coffee. Very underwhelmed.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Location was great, and the size of the room was great as well, but other than that I don’t have many positives for this experience.
We were contacted by the booking person the morning of, asking when we would be arriving as there is no front desk. I had given an approximate time. He stated his colleague will be waiting and to give a 30 minute notice, but I mentioned this is not a guarantee s WiFi was a hit and miss.
20 minutes after landing I had messages from his colleague, Samira, stating she has been waiting and waiting all day. This was frustrating as anyone who has travelled Rome knows the traffic is horrible from the airport. I told her to communicate with her colleague as I explained everything to him. Yet again she messaged asking where we were and stating she has been waiting. I told her we are doing the best we can.
Upon arriving, she was frustrated, and her English was not great. At all. She couldn’t understand or communicate with questions we had. The bathroom is down the hall from the room and does not lock on the outside so even though it is ‘yours’ anyone can use it in reality. We asked for extra towels, she said there are none. There were no toiletries or extra toilet paper. The bottom drawer in the bathroom had a puddle of water.
I would not book here again just due to the poor customer service.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - Really nice apartment in great location for Trastevere. Super clean and close to main attractions, bring your own shampoo because they forget to provided it even if you ask.
- Rosarito (10/5): Great value! Great location! - Great location, very clean with breakfast included. Fabio was amazing and picked us up where we got lost. Just bring your own toiletries and this place is great value!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Location was perfect! Close to tram, nice restaurants and tourist attractions
- Jefferson (10/5): Comfy, EXTREMELY clean, elegant, SUPER affordable - Best hotel we stayed in
