• Jay (10/5): - Perfect small hotel! It's a 30 second walk down the road to the main promenade with the beach and restaurants. The hotel has beach chairs and umbrellas for guests to use at the other beach a 2 minute walk the other direction for free. The rooms were adorable and the balcony sea view was phenomenal!
• Odris (10/5): Lovely hotel in a lovely city! - Geo&Art hotel is perfect for those who like to be in the middle of the action in Himara. Walking distance to the beachside, restaurants, and bars. The service is excellent and the hotel is clean and well kept. The staff they have there is amazing. Note that this hotel does not have parking but they do have a recommended spot about 5 min walk from it. I belive I paid 10 Euros per day there. Also, if you like total quietness, note that this hotel is in front of the lively part of the city. It becomes very quiet at midnight, however.
• Lacy (8/5): Cool but Super Loud - The hotel was cozy and views amazing, however there is no nearby decent parking, there is no privacy on your patio or barely in your room if neighbor is on their patio, and the nightly noise from the kids arcade and nightclubs goes late into the evening. Outdoor table ice hockey plinking is somehow so loud?! We booked two nights and forfeited our second in hopes of finding something quieter.

It’s right across one of the best beaches in all the area there are food options galore the general downtown area is 100 feet from the hotel And the whole hotel staff made the stay one of a kind.

• Zoe (10/5): Great hotel, fantastic location - Cute little hotel in a fantastic location. Definitely splurge on the sea facing rooms, the balcony was the highlight of our stay. I believe it’s run by a husband/wife Albanian duo and staffed by a few of the kindest Pilipino women. Everyone was very helpful. The beds were very comfortable and beach towels were provided daily. A few things I would have liked to know before booking or upon check in: Parking costs extra and is down the street. Not a problem but it was a bit hard to find. A map would have been useful. The hotel provides passes for beach chairs and the beach down the street. A huge plus and something we loved but a map of how to find it would also have been useful. It is a bit noisy, walls are thin and music from the bars goes on until about midnight, but wasn’t a huge problem for us. The door handle of our room was broken the whole time, as was the toilet seat. Not a big problem, both worked well enough but I was surprised that neither were fixed.
• michael (10/5): - The Geo & Art is a family run boutique hotel. We loved our stay at Geo & Art. We had an amazing view of the sea and were only steps away from the beach and dining. The Geo & Art offered reserved beach chairs and umbrellas at a beautiful location only a short walk away. They also provided us with a towel. I recommend bringing water shoes as the beach is rocky. Our hotel was only a 10 minute taxi ride to Himare Castle. The Family (staff) helped us secure the ride to the castle and back. We loved our stay at the Geo & Art and give this hotel our highest recommendation! Thank you for everything!!!

• Tim (10/5): We Didn't Want to Leave... - From the moment we checked into Geo & Art, our stay was absolute bliss. The view from the room was spectacular, the decor was warm and inviting, access to the beach was so easy, and getting to the shops and restaurants was a breeze. As for breakfast - I have been to a lot of hotels, and I've never experienced a more delicious and satisfying breakfast. Whether you like sweet baked goods or savory breakfast meats, everything was fresh and abundant. As if the location and the meal weren't enough, the staff were all incredibly warm and friendly. We enjoyed visiting with them and learning a bit about Himare. When it was time to go they made us feel so welcome to return that we didn't really want to leave! If you are looking for an inviting spot on the beach that is not overcrowded, come to Himare. If you are looking for a place to stay that will make you want to come back over and over, come to Geo & Art.
• Iain (6/5): Good, but should be better. - We liked the hotel, but there are a few things worth knowing before someone books. There is no onsite parking despite it saying so in the booking. Local parking options are very limited! During our stay we had issues with the key system beeping very loudly during the middle of the night which woke us up. The traffic and the bar are loud too but we expected this. The room was very small, I suspect we got given the smaller room when we had booked the larger one. Breakfast being included was a bonus.

The staff were really friendly and were keen to help us park our car as the road was closed on our stay due to the resurfacing the road. The police did let us through the road closure to get there with no issue. The hotel was clean modern and a great one night stay to the south of Albania. Breakfasthad a lot of choice for a small hotel. Would return.

Room was well designed, very clean, breakfast was brilliant, they made us both feel so welcome. You are next to the promenade literally on the beach. There is a road in front of the hotel but zero issues. Highly recommend this place to anyone 100% the best place we stayed and only wish we had stayed another night
• Sanna (10/5): Vackert hotell i bra läge - Jättefint hotell med fin utsikt och nära ner till strand och restauranger. Flera sällskapsytor på olika våningar, framför allt lounge-utrymmet på bottenplan vad superfint. Frukosten var kanon och tjejen som jobbade frukost och reception var supertrevlig och hjälpsam. Enda anmärkningarna vi skulle göra är: 1. att det inte alls fanns någon parkering på hotellet som utlovat, vi blev istället hänvisad till en lerig gräsplan en bit in i byn. 2. Det blev mängder med vatten i hela badrummet när man duschade, allt rann ut på golvet

The only two things are when you take a shower water gets on the floor of the bathroom but nothing bad and the location to park, that is a little far, but seeing the traffic of the city it’s a bless the hotel offers parking! Breakfast was good and staff friendly.

• Pat (4/5): - Good things- breakfast very good, air con, clean. Poor things-Rooms not as advertised, pictures misleading, deluxe triple room was small and daughter had to sleep on a chair bed. Busy road right outside front of hotel. Expised wires in shower, shower room door would not slide freely, poor position of shower meant you couldn't get under it. Just as we were about to leave they then said we needed to pay 100 euros to clean the shower noom floor for a small mark that could have been. easily removed. Room was cleaned 2 days previously but nothing said to us about it. Felt we had to pay so we could get to our flight without delay. Not recommended.

• Fabio (8/5): Siamo stati bene - Questo botique hotel si trova a pochi metri dal piccolo centro di Himare. Ho optato per la stanza con balcone vista mare e devo dire che ne è valsa la pena. La stanza era grande ed il terrazzino piacevole. Tra i contro c'è il bagno, che è molto piccolo con la doccia che praticamente fa parte del bagno e quindi va ad allagare tutto il bagno, il lavandino è in stanza. Il parcheggio è disponibile ma si trova a circa 500m dalla struttura. E' importante sapere che la musica dei locali accanto si sente, anche molto ma almeno a Luglio veniva staccata a mezzanotte, rimanevano i rumori stradali. La colazione era molto buona. Abbiamo usufruito del servizio bar in camera molto apprezzato per un drink al tramonto. I prezzi dei drink onesti. In generale, quest'hotel conferma però che l'Albania non è poi una meta così economica.

• Max (8/5): - Tolle Lage und super Balkon! Das Zimmer ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht. Einziger Nachteil ist, dass die Zimmer etwas hellhörig sind. Ich würde es aber trotzdem auf jeden Fall empfehlen!

We really enjoyed our stay and the service was very good, they really looked after us. Would stay again here and for longer in future.

• Monica (10/5): Beautiful family-run hotel in the Centre of Himare - Geo & Art Boutique Hotel is a beautiful little family run Hotel in the Centre of Himare, right next to the South West Beach - which is the smallest, but offers free sun bean bags (if you’re there early). Room was very small and simple, however, the large gorgeous balcony made it totally worth it! We had a sea view room and I highly recommend getting one as it made our stay. If for any reason you don’t, there are public balconies on each floor. The view is stunning and so are the sunsets! Some of our best time was spent enjoying a glass of wine on the balcony. The hotel is very tasteful and stylish with a “Santorini” vibe and has a great location, although you have to be prepared for music coming from the beach bar across the road between 9 - 12. You are right on the beach promenade and close to everything. We quite enjoyed it though. Would highly recommend the restaurant Acta across the road. The family that runs the hotel are very helpful and lovely and they make the best breakfast with lots of local delicacies and excellent coffee. They also have a little boutique. Parking is about 5 mins walk away but you can load off etc outside the entrance. We wouldn’t have wanted to stay anywhere else and our well travelled one year old had the best time - but we think the hotel is suited very best for couples.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Super location but a few issues - We stayed in Himarë for 2 nights and I’m glad we didn’t stay longer. The location of the hotel is super nice, the view of the balcony is amazing. It was really nice just to sit there and appreciate the view. The beach is also very nice, with an incredible water color. The room was very clear and the bed is comfortable. However, there are some minor issues: 1) Unfortunately, there is a place across the street (Privat Lounge) that plays SUPER LOUD music at night, which makes it very difficult to sleep. It’s really annoying and it’s astonishing that they can do so. 2) The bathroom has a toiler and a shower, with the sink outside. The area of the bathroom gets wet when you take a shower and you need to dry it with a towel afterwards. There is also no air circulation. 3) The breakfast is ok, not great. 4) Be aware that the parking space is about 500m from the hotel. Considering that the price was not cheap, I reduce 1 start because of points 2 and 3. But I reduced another one because of point 1.

Havde værelse med udsigt- Og den var fantastisk. Vil med sikkerhed vælge dette hotel igen. Kan kun anbefale det.

• Klaus-Dieter (10/5): Schöne Tage in Himare bei Arta ....... - Ziemlich neues Haus, fantastisches Wetter im Oktober um die 30 Grad, unser Zimmer klein aber mein mit großem Balkon, KLEINE Nasszelle mit Toilette und Dusche, parken unten in der Garage möglich, morgens wach werden Handtuch schnappen und in 2 Minuten im Meer den Tag anbaden. Unser Highlight über unserer Aufenthaltszeit war ARTA , die Verwalterin des Hauses. Soviel Herzensgüte, Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft ..... vielen vielen Dank noch Mal dafür. Der Ort Himare direkt ist leider schon zu viel von Albanien abgekehrt. Richtig Albanisch essen gehen ist da kaum noch möglich. Gehst du in einer Bar ... kommt RAKI haben wir nicht ! Alles auf Italien und Griechenland gemacht. Schade !

The value was great. The only thing that was a bit confusing (probably just us) was that the photos on Hotels.com make it look like all the balcony rooms have sea views, but that is not the case... maybe just our mistake. Either way it was an excellent place to stay and we would stay again!

Tea and traditional snack offered in the morning (kind surprise). If you’re in Himare there’s no where else you should stay. Although we weren’t sea view room (our choice) we could still hear the ocean from our room at night. Thank you for a wonderful time

• Carl (2/5): - Reviewing both my experience with Expedia and the property. The property I'd give 1/5, Expedias handling of feedback and issue a 0.5. Really disappointed in both the property - we left after one night, even though we'd paid for 2. I like to book through Expedia for the added level of customer service and certainty I get - but now that feels like a myth. I suggested Expedia reconsider having this hotel associated with their company as it currently stands - the property description is simply misleading users of what the end product is… in a big way... and by proxy Expedia are false advertising it... After assuring they'd help they have told me they won't be anything. The property as advertised doesn't match what it in the following ways; - The 'non seaview' rooms balcony isn't shown and is NOTHING like what is - faces a building so close you can touch it, 1/4 of size - There isn't aircon. The compressor outside doesn't work so it's just a fan.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Zentrale Lage an lauter vielbefahrener Hauptstraße - Zwar ist man in 1 Minute am Strand, allerdings muss man die vielbefahrene und sehr laute Hauptstraße überqueren. Man kann sich im Sommer entscheiden zwischen dem Lärm der Straße oder der Klimaanlage, die allerdings in dem kleinen Zimmer für permanenten Luftzug sorgt. Wir haben uns daher für Schwitzen entschieden. Die Gastgeberin konnte leider nur griechisch und albanisch, was die Kommunikation erschwerte. Das Zimmer war ok allerdings etwas klein. Im Bad war leider nach dem duschen der gesamte Boden überschwemmt, da es keine abgetrennte Dusche gab. Für den stolzen Preis von 75 Euro hätte man wohl auch etwas nettes bekommen können. Vom Balkon hat man einen schönen Blick auf den Strand und das Meer, man muss die vorbeifahrenden Autos einfach versuchen auszublenden.
• Edward (10/5): - Another great discovery! We had a balcony overlooking the beach with only a very short walk to main square and tons of restaurants and shops. We will call the owner 'Mama Geo' and 'Daddy Art'. Despite our not speaking or understanding Greek, we found her to be so sweet and kind to us; She made us hot Greek donuts with honey in the a.m. Free parking underneath the hotel. One day we brought wine to our room and Mama Geo brought us a corkscrew and two glasses without our asking. The location is fantastic and rooms are comfortable. The shower in the bathroom is still a work in progress as there was no glass screen so water was all over including the toilet and T-paper. They are constructing still the hotel and it will be a fabulous place when finished. Wholeheartedly recommend for the price and good cheer.

• Sara (10/5): Great price, great room - Great hotel with the beach a few steps away. The owner was a very nice and friendly woman who welcomed us. The view from our room was amazing as well. Overall a great stay at a very reasonable price.
• Kelly-Marie (10/5): Beautiful & friendly Hotel - The Geo Art Hotel was beautifully decorated. Very modern but simple and stylish, we were upgraded to a sea view free of charge which were very grateful and happy about. It was early in the season so the place was very quiet but we liked that! The owner was Greek lady and she was so helpful and really kind to us bringing us coffee and tea. Thank you so much. There was communication issue at the end of our stay we didn't understand a request, we thought it was about payment but I explained we had already paid online. We did ask of we could stay 3 nights but in the end stayed with the original 2 nights we booked because we travelled North. At one point there no water so could not have shower but we understood the street had issues and were patient and the water returned eventually. We would definitely stay again.. If you stay here you like like the owners and the room and its a prefect location and amazing for the price. *only one thing we could suggest to improve the experience would be a kettle/tea/coffee making area so guests can make tea or coffee when they need* But, that is a small thing. So... Overall its a fantastic hotel 😊
