- Geoff (10/5): A wonderful stay, extremely well located and comfortable and well facilitated all round. - Great location, and we were upgraded to a room with a walk in shower which was convenient for us. The staff were at another level...always helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The buffet breakfast was of high quality with plenty of options. The lobby bar had happy hour every day so this also made the drinks more affordable as we really noticed that Singapore has become quite expensive. They also had a promo at the time giving us 2 for 1 drinks too! Plenty of dining options nearby as well as Ion for shopping which was so convenient using the MRT. There was Australian television in the room which allowed me to watch the footy back home! I just couldn't get the A/C right so our room was always a little chilly....but this was ideal for sleeping!

The rooms all the checks for the standards expected of a 5-star Orchard-hotel. But the attentiveness of the guest relations staff sets it apart from others in the location. Mr Paolo is personable and polite, going the extra mile to check that our needs are met. He facilitates the check-in process smoothly, such that there is almost no waiting time and we could get rested after a red-eye flight. Ms YZ is service-oriented, handing out umbrellas to us when a heavy downpour suddenly came. All of us enjoyed our stay and recommend voco Orchard.

I didn’t spend a lot of time in the room but shower was walk-in and the bed comfortable. A tick from me. I want to make a special mention about the club lounge staff Esther and Sujen. They were both so positive, attentive, bright and cheerful. Thank you so much. I’ll definitely book again.

Special mention to Ju on reception and Georgio the restaurant manager who went above and beyond. The hotel was spotless. Perfect location for all the major shopping centres and a train stop to Raffles and Marina Bay. Would highly recommend choosing this hotel over others. The food was incredible and great value. You won’t be disappointed.

- MM2H (10/5): A Very Comfortable Stay - We stayed at the Voco Orchard Road for three nights at the end of a longer trip to Singapore and Thailand. We chose it for its convenient location close to Orchard MRT and because IHG is one of our preferred hotel brands. We arrived early evening and were greeted warmly by a young concierge, who couldn't have been more helpful, especially when, having delivered our massive amount of luggage to our allocated room, I had to explain that my husband had returned to reception to request a change. The room we were subsequently allocated was at the rear of the property and turned out to be incredibly quiet; there was no noise from outside, none from the corridors or from neighbouring rooms. The only sound we ever heard was occasionally from nearby plumbing. The bed was vast and comfortable, the linens crisp and gorgeous. The power of the shower was immense and the evenness of the temperature of the water the best we've had anywhere in a long time. Also, for a Singapore city hotel, the room was huge, with ample space for a desk/chair, occasional chair and table, and all of our luggage without us feeling cramped. We had three excellent nights of sleep. We had breakfast on our first two mornings (on the final morning, we had to leave at 6am) and, although I have multiple dietary restrictions, I was able to find plenty of suitable and interesting food from the huge spread. Gluten free bread could be toasted separately upon request and the restaurant manager, who discovered the note about my diet on our booking, advised me that if there was anything I wanted, that would be more in keeping with the way I ate at home, I was just to ask. This made me feel welcome rather than a nuisance. As this was just a short stay at the end of much longer trip, we didn't sample many of the hotel facilities but, based on our experience this time, if we were in the area again, the Voco would definitely be on our shortlist of hotels.

- Shazrazmataz (8/5): Comfortable stay with a few small issues - This was our first stay at the Voco Orchard Singapore, and the hotel is in a prime location right on Orchard Road, which is very convenient for shopping and getting around. We stayed in a Club Balcony Room. The room itself was quite average and could definitely do with a lick of paint, and the balcony felt a bit drab. However, the bed was very comfortable, with lovely bedding and great pillows, and the towels were super soft, which made for a comfortable stay overall. The bathroom was fine, although it had a shower over the bath, which may not suit everyone. The toilet was extremely low and the flush was quite hard to press, which wasn’t ideal for someone with arthritic fingers. The toiletries were exceptional the Apotheke products were a really nice touch. The Club Lounge was lovely, and the staff there were absolutely amazing. A special mention to Ah at breakfast time, who went out of his way to help every morning, nothing was ever too much trouble. The staff are definitely the highlight of this hotel. One disappointment was the late check-out policy. As an IHG Rewards member, we have previously stayed many times at the intercontinental Singapore (before the change in management) and were always given complimentary late check-out. On this stay we were asked to pay $200 (Australian dollars) which was quite disappointing. Overall, the hotel is nice, the food is good, but it’s really the staff who make the experience worthwhile.

The lounge was one of the best we have experienced with a wide variety of food and beverage options. The property is well maintained and has an excellent fitness center and lovely rooftop pool. The bathroom was a little dated and the water pressure for the shower was not good. Informed the staff and they did try to see if they could do anything but it was more of a legacy design issue. The services in lounge was exceptionally good. The staff in the club lounge were very professional and always serving us with a smile. They were super friendly and extremely helpful at all times. Couldnt remember all their names but Mr Ali was very nice to us and made our experience a memorable one. Another shout out to the cleaning crew, Sandy...again always cleaning our room with a smile and very thoughtful. The service at the level 1 restaurant, unfortunately was quite slow but the staff were friendly. But overall stay was very enjoyable and location was superb as well. Less than 10 mins walking distance to Orchard MRT.

- Huntva (10/5): My Go-To Singapore Base for Southeast Asia - I’ve stayed at voco Orchard Singapore multiple times over the past two years, and it has become my reliable home base for exploring Southeast Asia. This January visit once again reminded me why I keep coming back. After a 19-hour flight from New York, I arrived at the hotel around 7:00 a.m.—exhausted and fully expecting to wait. Instead, the front desk staff could not have been more accommodating and arranged an early check-in, which made all the difference in recovering from jet lag. That kind of flexibility and genuine hospitality is invaluable after long-haul travel. My four-night stay was ideal for resetting my internal clock. As an IHG Platinum member, I was recognized with a quiet, upgraded room on a high floor, along with thoughtful touches like welcome chocolates that immediately made the stay feel special. The room was comfortable, well-designed, and blissfully quiet—perfect for rest. One detail that truly stood out: when I left Singapore to fly to Vietnam, the hotel securely stored one of my bags containing cold-weather clothes. Seventeen days later, when I returned for a one-night stay before flying back to New York, the staff welcomed me back just as warmly, with everything handled seamlessly. Breakfast that morning was excellent fuel for the long journey home. The location is another major strength. Orchard Road offers fantastic shopping and dining right outside the door. One memorable highlight was dinner at Tarboush, a Turkish restaurant just a five-minute walk away—absolutely worth seeking out. Consistently professional staff, excellent loyalty recognition, comfort after long flights, and a prime location make voco Orchard Singapore an easy recommendation. I’ll continue using it as my Singapore anchor for future trips through the region.

- PSPJeff (8/5): A disappointing stay except for the Club Lounge, Opus and Backdrop. - For context, I'm Diamond with IHG One Rewards and have stayed many times in this hotel. This stay got off to a rough start due to scheduling conflicts. A last moment change in a dinner I needed to attend to my arrival night meant I needed a nap and to be ready to be "on" for the evening as I was arriving tired and had not originally planned to do anything the first night. I arrived at the hotel late afternoon and my room was not ready. I understand it was a busy time, but found it hard to believe there was only one room as a possibility and the "guest has just checked out". They put me in the Club Lounge while waiting for the room to be cleaned, which ordinarily would have been fine but I really just needed sleep. It took more than an hour for the room to be ready. When I got to the room, it was one of the bathtub rooms. When this hotel was Hilton, I only stayed once and never went back because of those bathtubs and their curved bottoms which feel like a slip and fall danger. They have rooms with walk in showers and before my profile listed my preference on this. Oh well. The room also had a connecting door which came into play on our third night. It connected to a suite having some kind of party, so there was no sleep to be had that night until after 2 am. I did not bother to mention it to the hotel as it just starts an ongoing battle between security and the party, and ours was literally the only room that was next to the suite, so they would have known where the complaint originated. In the Club Lounge, Josephine, Ali, and Rubiah were all wonderful as always. There has been some turnover in Club Lounge staff recently which seemed to coincide with the arrival of the new General Manager. Hopefully things are settling down and there will be no more staff turnover of the long term employees as they are really what make this hotel and what sets it apart of the others in the area. The Club Lounge has expanded the evening buffet happy hour substantially more mirroring what the former InterContinental Singapore had before they closed. This is a really wise move on the hotel's part to bridge the gap for those IHG customers who miss that property. The InterContinental Singapore Robinson Quay Is not a great property and cannot fill the gap. We had dinner one night in Opus, and as usual I am impressed with the quality of the food. For me, one of the best steaks I have in Asia. HIGHLY recommend. Within the shopping arcade is The Backdrop, a speakeasy type bar that is not directly affiliated with the hotel but HIGHLY recommend. Reservations are needed. GREAT cocktails, food and impeccable service. We are always amazed at how well they remember us, where we sat the prior visit, what our drink and food preferences are, etc. Even if we have not been back for months! My favorite cocktail bar in Asia. Great music as well. Overall, an OK stay. Disappointing compared to past stays. Hopefully it will be better next time around.

We were disappointed at check in not to be upgraded despite our platinum status because the hotel was, we were told, full. Our birthday boy was gifted a slice of cake & a souvenir magnet. When the customer service person questioned one member of our group about our stay on the last day before we left, she mentioned her disappointment at the lack of upgrade and to our surprise we later got a bottle of wine delivered to each room, which was a very nice and appreciated gesture. I did feel the check in staff could have been more welcoming and celebratory upon our arrival. Nonetheless, our rooms were very acceptable, a good size with a huge bed, international tv, a bath tub and nespresso machine. Breakfast offerings were very ample and varied, with changes on different days. Location is good to access the MRT although not in the most interesting part of Singapore, in my opinion.

Managed to check in early as we had an early flight and that was a godsend as we were so tired. The executive lounge was one of the best one we have visited. Lovely breakfast in a quiet atmosphere, the evening drink and buffet were amazing with a great selection of cocktails and drinks. The buffet was also quite plentiful, more than we have had before. Usually the IHG hotel lounge offers a good selection of canapes but this lounge offered not far from a meal. Would definately stay again

Premium Club Zimmer keine Schränke für Wäsche, nur ein Eisenständer mit Kleiderbügel. Somit nur aus dem Koffer gelebt. Duschen sehr gefährlich für ältere Leute. Nach Ausflügen wollten wir noch etwas trinken. Um 22:30 Uhr wurde abkassiert, Bar wird geschlossen. Für ein angeblich fünf Sternehotel fanden wir das unmöglich.
