- Allyson (10/5): - My hotel stay was lovely. The room was clean and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a perfect size for a solo traveller. The staff at the front desk were all very friendly and helpful and even recommended the best Thai restaurant to me down the street. I had trouble with the AC the first night, just ask the front desk about the room temperature when you check in and all will be good! The location was also good, I could walk to the Seine in about 25 minutes and got a chance to explore less busy areas in Paris!

Membres de l’établissement ⭐️ : Bel accueil de la part de l’employé au comptoir à notre arrivée. Tous les membres du personnels sont forts sympathiques, nous avons apprécié. Mention spéciale à Daniela, tant pour son amabilité et gentillesse autant en cuisine que lorsque nous l’avons croisée dans l’hôtel. Confort de la chambre ⭐️ / 2 : La chambre est petite, mais c’est ce dont on peut s’attendre à Paris. Je ne pourrais vous dire si c’est généralisé à toutes les chambres, mais beaucoup de bruits provenants de la tuyauterie, l’air climatisée qui arrête avant de repartir et ce qui semble être des bruits de pompes récurrents. Inclusion demie ⭐️ : Nous avons apprécié le petit déjeuner qui était inclus dans notre cas. Par contre, un peu cher pour 14 euros, lorsque non inclus. Note finale 3 ⭐️ et demie

The two closest metro stops are a bit of a hike but there is plenty to do in the area as far as bars and restaurants. Sacred Heart is about a 15 minute walk as is the Moulin Rouge.

Very friendly, welcoming staff - smiles all round. Welcome cold drink and cake much appreciated. Room is typically city small but is spotlessly clean with all you need including a kettle, towels, shower gel and soap.

And the breakfast is just perfect, not too much, but too little, just right. Jenna, in the front desk is amazing. She gave me directions everyday. The area is totally safe. My son and I had so much fun in Paris. We're walking as late as 2:30 am in the morning on the streets. When the train and the bus stop working. There is a little mart down the street that you can purchase water.

Breakfast lacked in quantity and some days there was very little, and with no one around to replenish. Otherwise a very good place to stay for exploring Paris, and some special touches for our special occasion.

It was welcomed during a very hot week. We also liked the neighborhood, which was just far enough away from the touristy and loud Pigalle area. It's a nice neighborhood with cafes, restaurants and schools.

The view from the windows was amazing, especially as it was a corner room and we could see both streets. Breakfast was simple but so good. Fresh bread, eggs, ham, cheese, coffee, jams and tea. The bathroom was very nice and comfortable. The only thing that i noticed was not great was the toilet, it was lacking in power so it wouldn't flush properly, I don't if it was a temporal thing or if it's always like that. But somethingto keep in mind. Overall, the stay was wonderful, the beds were comfortable and the ambience nice.

As a typical 2-star, it was nice but very small. These hotels used to cost $85 bucks a night, maybe a $100 but ridiculous charging $174. The staff was nice.

- pippa (10/5): - Hotel Marena was very centrally located in the Paris 9th Arrondissement. It was a very safe location. The hotel beds were comfortable. The room and the bathroom were very clean. The staff was friendly and helpful. We only had one slight issue and that was when the front desk girl tried to set us up to overpay for a taxi ride...$45 euros for a 6 minute ride to the train station...NOPE I'm not a dumb American. The Uber charged $11 but we could have walked in there in 9 minutes. Other than that we had a wonderful stay and I highly recommend Hotel Marena. I would stay again.

- Kristina (10/5): Friendly, quiet hotel in Pigalle - All of the staff at Hotel Marena were great. They helped us hold our luggage until check in, checked us in easily, and ordered a taxi for us to get to the airport. The room was clean and quiet, yet close to bars and restaurants in the area and just a short walk to Montmartre and metro stops. A great value.

Si la salle d’accueil au rez-de-chaussée pourrait gagner en chaleur, notamment avec un éclairage plus chaleureux et un mobilier moins standard, j’ai particulièrement apprécié la chambre 507. Le lit une place et la position légèrement en retrait des autres chambres la rende à la fois silencieuse et cosy. Une expérience agréable et reposante. Merci pour votre accueil, et à bientôt pour un prochain séjour. PS : Point d'amélioration la pression du jet de douche trop faible.

The area the hotel is in is nice with metro stations in walking distance, food restaurants around and close to Gare du nord. The rooms were fine. We stayed for 2 nights and it did the job however the walls are very thin and you can hear everything in the other rooms around you and in the corridor. The bathroom is a bit tight and somewhere for your luggage to go would be nice but the bed was comfy and everything is clean.

- Emily (8/5): Great stay with excellent staff interaction! - Staff was extremely kind & helpful throughout our stay from the front desk to the breakfast area, the A/C in our hotel rooms was a gem of a find & the unique layout (L-shape) of one of our rooms worked out perfectly for us; the elevator was tight for the 4 of us plus our luggage but we seemed to manage, one of our hotel room doors needed some WD-40 because it was awfully squeaky (and heavy). Location is quite a distance from the metro which wasn’t much of an issue for us at the time but could be for some guests.

- Brett (8/5): - First time in Paris and was unsure where to stay but this hotel proved to be good value in an expensive city. The room was very clean and hotel staff spoke good English. The location was great with Sacre Coeur a 15minute walk and major Train Stations Gare De Nord and Gare De L'Est were an easy 20minute walk. Walk 10 to 15 minutes in any direction and there were plenty of shops and cafes. To get into central Paris I simply walked 10minutes to Anvers Metro train station and took the M2 line to Charles De Gaulle Etoile station which took around 20 minutes. Following the signs at the station I came out at the Champs Elysee within 100m of the Arc de Triomphe and from there you can catch the Big Bus tour or just walk to the major sites like the Eiffel Tower and the Louvre.

- Vittorio (8/5): - I stayed at Hotel Marena for a short weekend visit to Paris. I was on a budget and this hotel seemed to strike a good balance in terms of location and overall look and feel. The hotel is about 15 minutes on foot from Gare du Nord so it’s ideal if, like me, you are travelling on the Eurostar from London. I was able to find the hotel easily and when I arrived I was greeted by a pleasant man who checked me in quickly. I was asked to put my card down for a refundable pre-authorisation amount of Euro 100 which is pretty standard and was quickly given my room key. I didn’t pay for breakfast, however I wasn’t asked if I wanted to pay for it or even given details of timing and location. Equally I wasn’t told anything about WiFi. I already had both pieces of information when I got to the hotel so I didn’t need to ask but for a less informed traveller it might be nice to know and would make for a warmer welcome. My room was on the third floor. I’m not fond of lifts so I took the, very narrow, staircase. It was fine as I didn’t have much luggage but the hallways and stairs are indeed really narrow and, as I found out later, the walls are very thin. Luckily I had considerate neighbours so no one bothered me but I could definitely hear conversations, doors opening and closing, etc. I had a single cosy room - definitely on the smaller size but well appointed and most importantly extremely clean. There’s no safe and the shower doesn’t have a glass so it will splash everywhere.

My room , I think, had not been renovated yet, but It was very clean, very quiet, and not too small for a Paris hotel room in such a perfect location. The staff was more than courteous and helpful. I hope that the next time I come the door of my room looks more like the pictures shown on the site, there are no toiletries (but good liquid soap and hair dryer). It is in a real Paris neighborhood, with easy access to the metro, small shops and very good (non touristy restaurants).I will definitely go back to this hotel if it is available when I next visit Paris.

- Mary (10/5): Pleasantly surprised! - We were a group of 3 and were so pleasantly surprised with how clean and comfy this room was! The bedding was excellent, towels super big and soft and it was so clean! The icing on the cake was definitely watching the sunrise over the cathedrals of Notre dame from our room window! Wow!
- fr (6/5): - The hotel is small but clean and is 20 minutes to Eurostar station and 30 minutes to Opéra however l had problems to find the hotel. I was not able to charge my phone and iPad l took to the reception to charge for me. The receptionist is friendly and try to assist customer.
- Charmaine (8/5): - Sana at reception was such a great resource and extremely helpful at all times. She went out of her way to assist at all times even with booking a hair apt!!! Housekeeping was great with fresh and clean towels each day. Although the rooms were extremely compact the location was excellent and for a short stay one of the best. Thank you Sana!

The hotel is located perfectly close to all the Paris spots you would like to visit such as the Chamse Elisee etc. I must thank the staff at Marena hotel especially Sana in the front desk that helped us with directions and recommended places to eat and also got us a late check out as our flight was leaving at night. We will book this hotel again
- Sarena (10/5): Restful oasis - This hotel is quite lovely - small but very! well appointed with some nice touches, hot water kettle with tea/coffee/cups provided, very! quiet and nice comfy bed and pillows, and very nice desk staff. Not far from Gare du Nord (closer than Gare du l’est). (I walked from both locations).
- ISRAEL (8/5): Small cramped hotel stay with a good staff effort - The quality of the rooms vary from poor (small and difficult to manage) to fair. The bathroom showers are terribly designed, spreading water everywhere. The towels provided are among the BEST we've experienced - large and clean. The staff at the front desk are accommodating. The location is close to MontMarte and accessible by foot to buses/metro. The internet service was poor - intermittent and variable at best.
- Megan (8/5): convenient, clean, efficient - convenient, very clean, excellent front desk service in day time, everything you need except mini fridge/ice/access to their fridge. no way to keep things cold and for me that’s important. otherwise terrific and very convenient 15 min walk to Gare du Nord (take the RER B train from the airport) and Gare de l’Est. near pigalle and St. george’s.

- Anne (6/5): - Great location, helpful staff, very good value and room itself great but I was on the 4th floor and the walls were paper thin. I may have just been unlucky but everyone around me was loud and up late so despite my comfy bed, sleep was at a minimum.

- Ryan Scott (8/5): - The Hotel Marena delivers more than enough for what you pay for. As a 3 star hotel, you can't expect the world. It needs some renovation, the communal areas are a little run down. Our room (502, an attic style room) could have done with a new carpet (it was a little worn in places), but other than that, it was great for the price! The bathroom seemed recently redecorated and everything was spotless, props to the cleaners! The towels are nice and thick. The hair dryer isn't very strong - it did the job, but I've got fine hair and it took about 20 minutes to dry it. The bed was firm but comfy, there were two chairs, a small desk and a full length mirror in the room. No clothes rails or hooks and no safe. The room view down the road and over chimney pots is very sweet. We didn't notice any noise at night, but then we sleep with earplugs in. The walls seem a little thin, we could hear conversations in the hall way really clearly in the mornings. The reception staff are super helpful, and there at all hours! The area is absolutely fine, we (a male/female couple in our late twenties) felt perfectly safe wandering around in the evening. There are a few busy bars nearby, and one next to the hotel if you fancy a drink before bed. We didn't get up early enough to get down for breakfast. All in all, we'd come back 😊
