- Juan F (10/5): A wonderful and centrally located option for Tokyo. - Second time at the Capitol in three years. Both have exceeded expectations. Breakfast, which is amazing and reasonably priced, was not included in our rate.
- Val (9/5): A wonderful hotel that fully deserves its rating - The location is excellent. The metro station is right below the building and it is very easy to reach the most popular tourist areas. Ginza is only 2 stops away and Shibuya is about 10 minutes away. Everything is close and convenient. The area is peaceful and beautiful. Every time I went outside, I enjoyed the atmosphere around the hotel. The breakfast was excellent, with many different dishes. The choice was very good and the breakfast was filling and enjoyable. The staff were very polite and friendly. They always greeted guests warmly. It was always pleasant to go downstairs, walk through the lobby and pass the reception. The people working there are wonderful. I was always happy to see them and say hello. The only serious point I would ask the hotel owners to reconsider is the minibar policy. At checkout, I was asked whether I had used the minibar. I understand that this may be a standard hotel procedure, but in a hotel of this level, this question felt very inappropriate and disappointing. When a guest is paying around 700 dollars or more per night, the cost of a few simple drinks in the minibar is very small compared with the room rate. These are not rare or luxury drinks. They are basic minibar items. For many guests staying at this level of hotel, the value of these drinks is not important. What is important is the feeling of trust, comfort and respect. Because of this, asking guests at checkout whether they used the minibar creates the wrong impression. It makes the experience feel less premium. It also creates an uncomfortable moment at the very end of an otherwise excellent stay. In other high-level hotels in Japan, the minibar is often complimentary or the process is handled without asking the guest this kind of question at checkout. This is a better approach for a luxury hotel. It avoids an awkward conversation and keeps the final impression positive. I strongly recommend that the hotel make the minibar complimentary, especially considering the room price and the excellent service level in all other areas. This would be a small cost for the hotel, but it would make the guest experience feel much more complete and respectful. Overall, this is a beautiful hotel with a great location, excellent breakfast, and truly wonderful staff. I would be happy to stay here again, but I hope the hotel will improve the minibar policy because it does not match the otherwise high standard of the hotel.

- Scottsdale1 (10/5): Excellent service, beautiful rooms,stupendous views - I am not sure that the staff at the hotel could be more attentive or helpful. Let’s start with a little thing. On those times when we took cabs from the hotel I would hand my phone to a bellman to translate the address for the cab driver. We took regular advantage of the Club Lounge on the 27th floor for early evening cocktails or tea and watched the sun set over the city. The food in the lounge and the Origami restaurant for breakfast was delicious and diverse. Our room was large, well thought out and well appointed. We appreciated the convenience of being able to access a number of subway lines with just a quick elevator ride from the hotel. This is truly a 5 star hotel and I very much enjoyed my stay. A final kudos to the gentleman in the lounge we educated me regarding Japanese whiskey and kept track of my tastings over multiple nights. This enhanced the feeling of being a special guest.

The hotel feels high-end and offers a comfortable and elegant atmosphere. We really enjoyed our time here There were a few aspects that could be improved. The staff did not speak English well, which made communication quite difficult at times. Additionally, the buffet had very limited options, the quality was not great, and the service was quite slow

Commande de taxi auprès du concierge AVEC siege bébé pour le retour à l'aéroport : le taxi est arrivé SANS siege pour notre bébé de 18 mois. Aucune excuse ni proposition de solution, nous avons dû prendre ce risque pour avoir notre avion.
- virchow (10/5): Absolute Perfection - One of the great hotels. The friendliness and professionalism of the staff is sensational. A particular shout-out to Ms. Hasegawa at the concierge desk. Our room had a spectacular view over the skyline of Akasaka, there was even a map explaining the skyscrapers in the neighborhood. The room itself was very tastefully furnished and very functional, the style a mix of East and West. Sliding walls very cleverly allow you to change the room's layout. Great cosmetics, robes, slippers, a multi-functional shower, English newspaper delivered every morning, the list goes on. The hotel's location is sensational, it is only a three minutes walk up the hill to the Hie Shrine. Akasaka with all its myriad of restaurants and bars is just around the corner and a subway station is directly underneath the hotel! You can even find as flower shop and a convenience store in the basement. Several restaurants and a great bar which even has a smoking section.

The room was large and very comfortable. The staff could not have been warmer. I would definitely recommend this 5 star hotel.

L'acces à la piscine a été refusé à mon bb qui n'allait pas allé dans l'eau mais juste rester sur les transats. il était 19h et l'espace bien etre était vide. dans la chambre tout est à disposition pour un bébé même le lit mais les enfants ne sont pas accepté à la piscine. Il aurait du l'indiquer quand j'ai fait ma réservation. je n'aurais pas pris cet hotel sinon. Je viens dans cet hotel depuis 2014 et j'étais content d'y amener ma famille. J'ai été décu. Cela sert a quoi d'avoir une piscine si elle n'est pas accessible. Ils n'ont qu'a interdir l'hotel aux enfants comme le font certains hotels et comme cela c'est clair. A aucun moment le staff et managers ont essayé de trouver une solution. Ils savent que s'excuser et dire non.

- Shuaa (10/5): A memory that I will cherish forever ❤️🌸 - The rooms are very big compared to other hotels in Tokyo ! It’s sooooo clean and the view is breathtaking. The design inside is very aesthetic and represents Japanese architecture. Whenever you walk by any of the staff they smile at you and checks whether you need anything. I highly recommend it. I will definitely come back. There is 7/11 down stairs and the station as well. It was easy to move around Tokyo with this hotel. I am very picky when it comes to giving good reviews but this one deserves it. They even put skincare kit inside and pyjama and everything is fresh and clean. Nothing at all

Enjoyed the buffet and ordered the poached eggs as part of this - excellent. An impressive Japanese breakfast was available too Canr identify any negatives. I noted that a staff member was measuribg temperaures of item on the buffet - indicative of the care and professionalism of the service.

It's also quiet at night. We can have a very good sleep. I love the Gym and the indoor swimming pool (20 m.). The chinese restaurant called Star Hill is really an exceptional one. Very kind and helpful staffs. None

- followingtheriver (10/5): Fantastic Hotel, best experience - This is our third stay at The Capitol which is a fantastic hotel, we would not stay anywhere else in Tokyo. It starts with the stylish and super efficient welcoming of the doormen and doorwomen. The rooms are extremely confortable and large, the bathrooms have the best shower ever with loads of toiletries , the breakfast is excellent and the general vibe is luxurious yet not ostentatious, you feel well and in a cocoon. The actual location is unbeatable in the center of Tokyo yet in a quiet and high end enclave and the metro is just downstair ( yet you would not know. Two separate words interconnecting with total discretion). The Capitol is a grant hotel. i did not use the pool nor the spa this time, i however highly recommend going for a swim, the view is top and the spa last time was also perfect.

- Michael (10/5): Excellent luxurious hotel in the heart of Tokyo - Our third trip as a family in Tokyo and we always make it a point to spend a night or two at The Capitol Hotel Tokyu. Excellent and beautiful location. There is a subway station directly under the hotel, so getting around the city is so simple. Hotel is stunningly beautiful and service is always exceptional. I had the best sleep as the beds, pillows, linens and covers are of the highest quality. I wish the hotel was more welcoming for non cigar smokers. Non smokers have to sit at the high top bar, while smokers have an entire comfortable room to themselves.

- T. Minh (10/5): - I’m a bit amused to be asked for a review of this hotel. The first time I stayed here, more than ten years ago, I already gave them a stellar review. Over the ensuing years I wrote a few more, each one as stellar as the next. So let me not waste time repeating myself here. I cannot find fault with ANYTHING. Facilities, cleanliness, quality of service from housekeeping to front desk to restaurant to concierge to bell captain, everything was essentially perfect. I’ll point out two things to be specific. When I first got to the room I unpacked and put my toothbrush stuff into a glass near the bathroom sink. The next morning, housekeeping clearly didn’t like how I piled everything into that glass. So a small linen cloth was provided and the items were nicely laid out on it. This not only looked good but also made everything more functional. The same thing was done for the items I put on the desk. Then there was what the concierge did to secure four dinner reservations for me. Reservations at high end, award-winning restaurants in Tokyo is particularly difficult. It took literally several months to get this done, but they did it. Everything was followed up perfectly, nothing was forgotten even if it’s many weeks into the future. Then at check-in, I was given an envelope with all the pertinent information laid out logically and carefully. I can go on and on about other services, but I think I’ve made my point.

- MARIA LUISA (8/5): Good stay but… - Elegant hotel located on top of the metro. Really clean with great service. The room was quiet and everything worked great. Very good breakfast buffet There’s almost nothing around the hotel except for office buildings. When you are really tired after all day walking , it will be very hard to find a place to eat without getting on the subway again. The staff was cold at times. There is poor lighting in the bathroom. They don’t have a good hairdryer.
- Steven Quaiver (10/5): Excellent - The architect/designer of the rooms reminds me of the Cheval Blanc Paris rooms in Paris, and they are light years ahead of the standard design for hotel rooms, and even have TOTO Washlet Toilets in Europe which was a welcome sight for anyone who knows & uses TOTO Washlet Toilets!! They use to offer mouthwash as an amenity in the washrooms, but recently I have noted, “No Mouthwash,” which is a disappointment.

Despite the heat due to the summer weather, the hotel's air conditioning is set at a good temperature. It is not too cold either. Check-in was smooth including sharing of hotel facilities information. It's important to know as they have a few rules to follow. Breakfast was an interesting experience. You have an option to choose a buffet or set menus. Several subway lines are accessible from the basement. So convenient! For departure, they knew I had departure transportation arranged, my luggage had already been placed in the taxi after doing my check-out. Good job!

Highlights included beautifully appointed rooms (spacious and stylish, great views, very comfortable beds and incredible shower), great fitness centre, indoor pool, spa and exceptional buffet breakfast. The location is perfect in the centre of Tokyo with two subway stations located directly beneath the hotel - from here you can quickly access Ginza, Harajuku, Shabaka, Rappongi and Shinjuku all reasonably short train trips away. Above all, I want to compliment the service which was truly incredible. Every staff member went out of their way to be kind and helpful to us. For example, I lost my iPad on Shinkansen train and the concierge worked for several days to track it down and get it couriered back from Osaka! My son has special dietary needs helped find him some gluten free food for breakfast. A huge thank you to everyone at the Capitol for a sensational stay.

It's walking distance to the Akasaka district which there's hundreds of restaurants to chose from. They have a lot of English speaking staff which I find helpful.
