Need to put a deposit NT 200 & will refund after return the charger. Transport accessible by Airport bus 1960 - right outside hotel. Daan station is walkable from hotel. There is another station at SOGO shopping mall. Room & housekeeping services ought to be more detail - on check in day - noted kettle was "dented" & informed receptionist Christine, thanks for changing a new kettle. The shower holder was unstable - informed & resolved the following day. On the 6th day, while showering - no more body wash & hair conditioner. Need to ask the staff to replenish it. If housekeeper is more detail - this should not have happened. Thanks to the staff for a surprise birthday cake & well wishes birthday card. Kudos for the great effort. VIP benefit - 2 free drinks per room but no room upgrade.
- Farida (10/5): Excellent location and services. - Hotel location is very good and close to all the amenities. Staffs are very helpful, from helpdesk, housekeeping, etc. Rooms are spacious and clean as expected. They have done a good job maintaining the property. It is an old property but everything works fine and there is no musty or moldy smell. The bed and pillows are great...no smell at all. It means they clean it well. Only one issue noted. The design of the shower head is a total failure. I dont know how many shower heads are broken on yearly basis. Once the water pressure is off, the shower head fell down to the floor immediately with a loud bang. Too many of those will result in many broken shower head soon. In addition, the shower head handle is in the wrong direction in shower cubicle. It is facing the smaller space in the shower cubicle and not the spacious area. Not the most convenient to shower. To top it all, as the hotel is not providing any shower cap (eco conscious practice), trying to reorient the shower head without shower cap (only by towel) is not the easiest approach. I was able to get a shower cap from Poya (one multiple use shower cap) since i stayed in the hotel for a week. Maybe the hotel wants to sell it for a fee/small amount to the guess who really need it.

- vylynh (10/5): - Excellent service that is absolutely top notch. Maggie at the Rosewood Lounge made our stay impeccable and amazing. My father got sick while at the lounge in the hotel. Maggie arranged for him to be taken to the hospital. She even followed us there to translate and make sure my father was in good hands before leaving. She is like family and we owe everything to her. Fortunately, my father is fine. Thanks to the excellent treatment of the staff, and Maggie, we felt so well cared for and will 100% come back when we are in Taiwan. Our entire family loves Maggie and we wish we could take her back with us! Feels like I found my long lost sister! 🤗💕

We reported the issues to reception and they said they’d get onto it but nothing was done. Wouldn’t recommend, there are better options for a similar price.

- Claude (10/5): - This is a fantastic hotel, reminiscent of older times, yet offering all the comfort and luxury you would expect. Although we did not try the buffet, the food offering and selections, looked succulent and beautifully displayed and presented. I strongly recommend this hotel and will be definitely a returning patron on my next visit to Taipei.

- Hsuan-shan (2/5): - The double bed room we had for three nights was dirty. There were many stain spots on the carpet. The phone and sink in the bathroom were both broken. The surface on our desk and our bed were both unclean and sticky. It was noisy for two nights from our neighbors and top of the floor. We paid almost $1,000 USD but had very bad experiences in staying this hotel which is supposted to be a 5-star experiences. Totally not worth it. We would never come back.

They sent me an email, which I received in time to turn around, get back to the hotel, pick it up, and still make my flight. I was very grateful. Hotel was clean, comfortable, and pretty quiet. Slept great. Very nice stay. Would definitely stay again. Only complaint was they kept laundering our towels despite following the instructions to leave them on the rack if we did not need that.

There are several restaurants and shops in the building including a bakery and bento stand. Medium sized outdoor pool. Buffet breakfast is excellent with lots of options both Asian food and western, especially fresh fruits. Only downside is the property is somewhat old and the carpets were heavily stained. Location great with bus stop right in front of the hotel and 2 train stations less than 10 min walk away.

While the grandeur of the hotel is still evident, it does feel a bit dated. However, the hospitality services, from check-in to the bell captain and concierge desk, were exceptional and showcased their professionalism. The location is great - I would definitely return.

Though the bathroom’s a bit small, it’s clean and stocked with bath essentials and toiletries. But what really made us enjoy the hotel are staff — they were really great and helpful, specially Rene the receptionist and the room attendant! They even offered us to check-in early since the room is already vacant. It is very much appreciated, Ms. Rene!

You can eat delicious gourmet food poolside in the middle of Taipei city. The staff is also very easy to get along with and they treat foreigners very well.

Would have changed hotel if we didn’t have a time constraint. Pros: a big hotel close to transportation. Approx 7-8 minutes walk to either blue/red or brown mrt. Regular Staffs are generally nice. Buffet breakfast was good and filling.

- Leong (10/5): Excellent stay but can be better - It was great. From check in till check out it was excellent. Housekeeping is immaculate and efficient. We love the breakfast and that we can choose to have it in either Rainbow Terrace or Park Avenue. The spread is good and every day there is some different items. However if there were more different items it would be much better. The room is spacious and comfortable BUT the pillows are too soft; almost flat. And as a Gold member of Hotels.com I was disappointed that I was not upgraded even though I booked 3 rooms. At least upgrade my room it would be great so my family can gather for nightcap.

We used the beverage voucher provided by Expedia at the bar on the first floor, which turned out to be a terrible experience with rude staff and bad service.
