- Peter (10/5): - This property has everything going for it and appears to have been recently upgraded. You are near most forms of public transport and walking distance to one of Vienna's top tourist attractions with a palace and great surrounds. If you can be fortunate enough to score an upper balcony room at the rear of the building you are in for one of the great views of Vienna, particularly at night. The one suggestion that will improve peoples stay at the hotel is to organise express check out for guests.

- Timothy (10/5): - The room was spotlessly clean, with fixtures and fittings which looked very new. I had a great view of the city from my balcony (shown in photo). The hotel is some distance from the sights of central Vienna, but close to the sights of Belvedere, and very handy for the Hauptbahnhof (main train station).
- Scott (2/5): - IHG has some serious wormer to do on the property. AC doesn’t work, one bottle of water for 2 days, rooms are dowdy and dated. Best facet is location near train station. Staff was mixed: Herr Salem whom I dealt with twice was unsmiling and not particularly helpful. IHG needs to retrain him to be nicer and more service oriented or he needs to go. On the other hand the night clerk, younger and with more energy, that checked me in was nice and helpful. Again IHG has a LOT of work to do on this property: get to it!!

- Denson (4/5): No Service Hotel! - It’s the worst hotel customer service that I have never had! The receptionist were rude, lazy and arrogant! They had no intention to let you check in earlier. we arrived at 1pm, the first receptionist was nice, she said that the check in time would be at 2pm, so we waited. At 2pm, tried to check in, the other receptionist quickly responded that it’s 3pm. She had no intention to check if our room is available, so everyone was waiting there till 3pm. When we wanted to leave the luggage before checking in, the lady pointed that we could leave a narrow space at the corner. However, not long after, there’re a “White Couple” asked to leave the luggage there, the lady opened a room for them to put their luggage inside. That’s not the worse part, we were told that the air conditioning won’t be able to work till the outside temperature is 30 degrees, this is insane! The overall impression for the hotel staff was arrogant, discriminating and disrespectful! Honestly, I didn’t feel any “Hotel Service “ in this hotel at all! Good luck if you want to stay in this hotel!

The initial supply of tea and coffee was not replenished, and the used items were not removed or the area cleaned. Additionally, the bed was not remade well. The reception team appeared indifferent to the poor service and seemed inadequately trained.

Perhaps not the hotel's fault but one of the lifts was out of action for two days. Long walk to the 7th floor. Reception was very busy when we came to collect our luggage when leaving hotel.

The room was really spacious, clean, nicely furnished, the balcony was a nice addition and the bed was ridiculously comfortable! The shower room had a really nice powerful shower. We were able to check in early to the room which was much appreciated after the sleeper train as it meant we were able to get a full day exploring in feeling refreshed!

Two days before I received an email in German informing me the hotel was closed and we had been booked into another hotel a good distance from our original choice which required us to Uber wherever we wanted to go. Unfortunately we put the sign the wrong way and they would not honour the drink. The room was fine and the breakfast was fine.

- Marius-Cristian (10/5): - Huge room for a very good price. 2 minutes from central train station, shopping mall, tram station
- Robert (10/5): - A recently modified hotel, retaining its traditional, grand style in a relaxed atmosphere. Large reception rooms and clean airy bedroom and bathroom and friendly helpful staff. A good selection of generous breakfast courses on the 1st floor restaurant. A good local traditional Tyrollean restaurant on the doorstep, with others close by. conveniently located within 10 minute walk from the main railway station which also including underground U1, U3 lines plus trams and local buses. We are already looking forward to returning.
- Chun Kit (10/5): - Staff are friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman at night time. Also at a very convenience location, easy access by tram, bus and train.
- Peggy (8/5): - The hotel was undergoing a much needed renovation so there was some inconvenience. The rooms were old but fairly clean and would have been comfortable enough except the bed pillows were really thin. When we asked for another one, we were told we couldn't have one. There was a list of the Christmas markets and a local map so we could locate them available in the lobby and we appreciated that. Most of the nearby restaurants were fast food establishments in the train station and that got old very fast. I might stay there again.
- Graham (8/5): Novum bonum - We found the hotel very conveniently located, being not far from the main railway station and not far from the D-line tram which goes straight to the city centre. The hotel appears to be under renovation which we were not aware of at the time of booking but this did not make any practical difference to the enjoyment of our stay. The room was exceptionally clean. It was rather small. Some pictures on the wall would have perhaps made it more welcoming. We ordered an additional duvet which was gladly provided. Being winter, it was good to see that the radiator was easy to operate and provided adequate heat. It is a quiet hotel. Personnel on reception in the mornings and in the evenings were helpful. The breakfast was very good and we enjoyed the variety of food on offer. Overall, we found that the hotel met our needs for a long weekend and it was good value for money compared to similar hotels in the area.

- MaCharisse (2/5): - The front desk personnel is super rude. I already know that Austrians are naturally aloof but I expect someone working in hospitality to treat their customers better. For that reason alone, this hotel has zero rating. Be warned, or you’ll experience hostility right when you check in.

- John (4/5): - Disappointing. I won’t be back At present, this hotel is notable for one thing that the Expedia property guidance doesn’t say and one thing it does say. First, the entire front of the building is covered in scaffolding and each room contains a notice warning of noise during the week - no mention of this whatsoever. Second, the property is described as upscale and 4-stars. Frankly, I am astonished. The lobby and downstairs public area is small and unwelcoming. The bar appears to be a drinks rack behind reception. The carpets were threadbare on the stairs and overdue replacement on my floor. The soundproofing on the external windows of the property is excellent but the internal muffling between the rooms and the corridor and floor above is dreadful - you could probably hear a mouse sneeze. My room was clean but the mattress mis-sized for the bed, to which my bruised shin can attest. Breakfast was okay but no more. Visitors on business will be disappointed by the flat-screen tv taking up 80 per cent of the desk.
- Simon (10/5): - I chose this hotel for an overnight stay as it is only a 5 minute walk across the street from the train station and I had a mid-morning flight to catch from Vienna Airport (20min train). The staff were pleasant, the room was comfortable and clean. Several eating options within a couple of blocks in the evening, even more through the day. This hotel was perfect for what I wanted it for. The only slight negative was that the room was a little dated (mahogany and brass) and a little tired but did not cause any issues. I did not have breakfast so cannot comment on this.
- Andree (8/5): Better place to go - The place is under construction. It was noisy at time. And the room was close to the elevator.... make sure you reserve away from the elevator. No toiletries except a squeezed bottle to wash and same for shampoo. The bed semi comfortable.

The only inconvenience was the construction and particulary the construction workers who use the elevators all the time, they never prioritized customers but themselves. I hope the make-up finishes soon and the hotel experience will be much better
- Carol (8/5): - The hotel is undergoing a major remodel. They’re doing a fine job of mitigating the impact to guests, but you have to walk under scaffolding to get in. Thought they should have advised me of that. Otherwise they were great.
- Richard John (6/5): - It’s old fashioned and is being rebuilt slowly. The bar is basic and has a few drinks but you won’t want to hang around there. However the rooms can be huge (superior) and it is opposite a main rail station. There is a really good hotel next door with a nice bar and the station has lots of eateries plus a supermarket. If the price is good then it is a fair place to stay but by no means great. Scaffolded on outside when we stayed with some work going on inside.

Had really only booked for convenience as being very near the train station - only spent 1 night as arriving from Graz and flying back to the UK the next morning. However, room was very spacious & clean. I would have no hesitation using this hotel for a longer stay in Vienna- easy to get to the city centre via the metro.
- Yin (8/5): - Perfect location. It is a few minutes walk to the central station and about 30 minutes walk to old town.
- Kerry (10/5): - Room was perfectly clean including the seemingly new bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Room was maybe a little smaller than I'd have liked, but still had a desk at which I could comfortably work. Location at the Hauptbahnhof was great.

- ALISTAIR EDWARD (8/5): - It's a really good hotel that is kept tidy. Word of warning though that it is undergoing renovations currently.
- Leanne (8/5): No tea making but otherwise very nice! - The room was lovely, a superior double with separate toilet and bathroom was very convenient and we had a sofa to relax on in the evening, but the lack of tea and coffee making facilities in the room or anywhere in the hotel at all was disappointing, as the weather was cold and it would have great to have been able to have a hot drink in the room.

- Michael (10/5): Vienna in spring. - The city is buzzing, plenty to do and see. The hotel is handy for the underground and other transport links. The work being done didn’t interfere with our stay, no noise at all! Friendly reception staff. The city is spotless as is the underground. Locals are approachable, helpful and friendly.

- Michael (10/5): - Very convenient to train station. Comfortable room with balcony, refrigerator. Easy check-in. Great supermarket across the street. 30 minutes to airport.
- Maya (6/5): - Room was comfortable but breakfast was extremely average for a 4* hotel. Choice of ‘hot’ food was tasteless scrambled eggs and hot dog sausages of which neither were actually hot. Packaged croissants and tinned ‘fresh fruit’ were nothing like the breakfast photos and no fruit juice only a squash dispenser. No restaurant although close to many in the area and ‘bar’ was not staffed and was told on check out that I should have asked at reception - maybe I could have been told that at check in. Construction work currently going on but did not affect my stay. Five minutes from central train station so very convenient. Small fridge in room is handy but bottled water costs €4.

- Aref (8/5): - It’s a fairly decent place. Quite clean and close to metro stations. The main problem I had was the noise starting in early from refurbishment work.
- Dagmar (8/5): - I only stay one night before my flight from Vienna. The price for the room was very low, so I was wondering if there was anything wrong. The room was great and the bathroom seemed recently remodeled. There were no issues and I would recommend this hotel. The reason for the low price might be the construction and scaffolding. There is a warning that there might be a construction noise. I checked in at 3 and did not hear anything. I would not recommend the room for people with mobility issues, as the bathtub is very deep and narrow.
