The location was central to my needs, and the hotel was surrounded by an array of shops and restaurants, which we could explore and enjoy. The room was lovely and well catered. My room was next to a noisy street, and there were lots of late-night people returning from their nights out and early morning bin men making lots of noise.

CC (1/5): The experience with the reception desk made this stay disappointing. - The concierge was consistently helpful, responsive, and willing to assist with questions and arrangements. The waiters were also attentive and courteous, providing friendly service throughout the stay. On the first night, there was a loud intermittent noise in the room that made it difficult to rest. I reported it the next morning and requested compensation, clearly stating that I was not seeking an upgrade. After multiple reminders on my side, the reception staff claimed they would provide a 50% refund for the first night, but they did not follow through, which raised serious doubts about the integrity of the team. The reception is staffed mainly by very junior employees, many of whom appear to be students, and this lack of experience showed. One staff member confused pre‑authorisation with an actual debit on my card. Another kept assuring me for more than 90 minutes that my room was “being prepared”; in reality, I only received the room several hours later. Billing and communication around charges were also problematic. My card was debited without any email notification or immediate receipt. When I asked about this, the front‑of‑house manager explained that I would get the invoice on departure. In my view, a hotel should always provide a receipt at the time a card is charged. The front-of-house manager was not aware of key details from my previous conversations with his team, which suggests internal communication is weak. After checking the hotel’s Facebook reviews, I noticed similar complaints from other guests, which makes me think my case was not an isolated one. Overall, the combination of noise issues, unfulfilled promises, unclear communication, and inconsistent handling of payments and complaints left me disappointed. With better training, transparent follow‑through on commitments, and stronger management oversight, this hotel could significantly improve the guest experience.
CLNYC85 (10/5): Lovely hotel in a great location - My husband and I enjoyed a brief two night stay at the Mandeville and enjoyed the convenient location and friendly staff. There are many restaurants in the area and it is convenient to the tube. We were able to take the train service directly to Heathrow. Room was clean and well appointed with toiletries, robe and slippers. We were also pleasantly surprised to be upgraded to a suite.

We live in the neighbourhood, in an apartment without a guestroom, so we often book at this hotel for our friends/family to stay. Beyond the perfect location, the wonderful care Razvan and his team showed us means such a great deal and makes our family and friends' stays welcome. Could not recommend it more.

Rob (7/5): Convenient location and friendly staff with a clean, compact room, but light made it hard to sleep - Convenient location, staff were friendly, easy check in / out, room was small, but functional, overall... the room was clean. Curtains didn't cover the windows entirely, so we were woken at the crack of dawn. Also, there was a significant gap at the bottom of the door which needed plugging with a towel to block out the light.

Resepsiyon görevlileri olsun restaurant çalışanları hatta kapıda valizleri taşımaya yardımcı olan görevliler cok kibar, nazik ve yardımseverlerdi. 2 gun boyunca temizlik yapılmasın diye kapıya attığımız yazı sanirim problem oldu kat personeli icin. Pazartesi oglen giriş yaptığımız icin sali temizliğe gerek görmemiştik. Çarşamba temizlettik. Sonra perşembe ve cuma temizletmedik. Cuma kapi çalarak sorulan temizlik isteğini Cumartesi dedik. Cumartesi icin, yaptığımız alışveriş poşetleri ve eşyaları cuma aksami toplamamız gerekti. Sadece değeri fazla olmayan mini seyahat manikur takımı komidin uzerinde bırakmıştık. Açıkçası Onu da valize kitleme gereği görmedik. Ama cmt aksami pazar cikis icin toplanmaya başladığımız da, manikur cantadi yoktu. Bu şunu sorduruyor. Her temizlik günü valizleri kitleyip değerli değersiz herseyi kaldırmamız mi gerekiyor. Ve camların açılmaması havasizlik açısından buyuk bir sorun. Klima temiz hava degil sonucta.
