- Vanessa (8/5): - The hotel is a little dated especially rooms and passage ways to rooms. But communal areas are great. Biggest highlight is the staff. They are amazing - every single one of them. Can’t do more for you. Food choices are fantastic. We stayed on a B&B basis. Breakfast was outstanding - everything on offer and a highlight was the smoothy station. There are restaurants on site. A Lebanese, a British pub and an Italian (though the Italian wasn’t open for the duration of our stay). They also have a fantastic steak place called the 49ers. We ate in all except the Italian and the food was delicious. The staff at the room from waiters to lifeguards are so special. They can’t do more for you. We loved our stay there. You can walk to two malls, a supermarket is across the road and it is a great location to get to Corniche, Yas Island, Saadiyat Island. Only 20-25 mins from the airport. Easy to get anywhere but with a cab which are cheap.

- James (10/5): - We stayed here before the refurbishment (pre COVID) and we were keen to see how the hotel might have changed. What was the same was the excellent friendly service and staff for whom nothing was too much trouble. Likewise the room was clean and well equipped. The pool area has changed a lot and we missed the old water cannon and the thermal aqua therapy spa, but the pool staff were extremely good, in particular Sandeep who helped us settle into our loungers ever morning. It's still a lovely place to stay in Abu Dhabi and offers exceptional value for the price.

- Ahmed (8/5): - This was my first time staying here, am a frequent solo traveler. The place has a lot of heritage attached to it being one of the first chain hotels that opened in Abu Dhabi. Queen Elizabeth stayed here as well as a big list of historical famous figures. You can consider it kind of a boutique hotel. Check in was quick and smooth. I did request another room though as the room I was given had a view of an AC chiller on the roof and nothing else. Since am staying for 6 nights I couldn’t accept that and they changed my room but I had to wait for around 30 minutes New room has an amazing view of the pool and was very nice. The hotel building is generally old, so when it rained, the rain was leaking through the window and made the room carpet wet. I informed the front desk about it to see if they can do something to help dry it but unfortunately they didn’t do anything about it and by the day I was checking out the carpet was already smelly. The AC as well got very uncomfortable with high levels of humidity in the room after the rain , again asked the front desk to check it as I was leaving for the day. Not sure if they actually did something about it or not but it didn’t get any better. Beds are comfortable but some of the bedsheets are aged and you can see parts where they worn out a bit. Pool and beach facilities are amazing and the staff were the best part of the experience

- Rohit (6/5): - One of the oldest hotels in Abu Dhabi. Our lovely Queen of kindly was there at its opening. Hotel staff is friendly but you would come across some weird staff members who said oh! You can’t take your drinks which you bought in the hotel to the hotel’s beach. They would force you to buy the same drink! I was like I paid for for my ginger ale in the hotel, and I can’t sit in the sun with this drink ? It wasn’t even alcohol. They don’t appreciate that it’s a 5 star hotel and you can’t talk to people like this! Bathrooms needs an upgrade, if you shower, there’s guarantee to have water out of the tub. No shower curtains and the glass partition is too small!

- Casper (4/5): Noisy, overbook, old and not value-for-money - We stayed in 201 and had to move because of a very noise family until late in the evening. Other guests also complained about. Room 201 also had an issue with the air condition as it was not cooling well and made noise as well. We then got room 525 and had neighbours who partied until 2am. So we did not get proper sleep the two nights we stayed in the hotel. In addition we had to wait for our breakfast each morning, we had to ask for an extra bed 6 times before it was delivered etc. The hotel seems old and was clearly overbooked, and overbooked is a big issue when you also only have one elevator working, which is also used by your staff. All-in-all a bad experience and we honestly want a refund as it is not reasonable to pay for such a bad experience.
- mohammed (10/5): Top top top hotel - Super hotel, made even better by superb staff. Every single member of staff I came across was excellent and genuine in their friendliness. The house keepers would always say good morning when they see you. Breakfast was great. Well organised and lots of variety. Swimming pool area is nice although gets busy.

I would seriously consider not using this hotel again because of the bad shower set up, which is a shame because the hotel is great, so are the staff!!!

- Catherine (6/5): Pleasant enough... - Please note that this review is for Radisson Blu, Abu Dhabi where my booking was transferred. All staff in the restaurant and Executive lounge were very professional and helpful. Special thanks to Christian and restaurant managers. The food was amazing, plentiful and varied. Even when breakfast service was extremely busy, the service was very effective and food remained hot. The beach and pool area were beautiful and well-maintained. It was lovely to see Grant, a lifeguard from Le Meridien working poolside. Pool and beach are accessed by subway just outside the hotel. The number of steps could cause problems for those with disabilities. I visited Hemingway's bar at the back of the hotel. It was nice to sit in the beer garden, even late at night. Again, service and atmosphere were very pleasant. The only downside about my 3 night stay was the attitude of several of the staff on front desk. They tended to be unhelpful and argumentative; not just with myself but at least one of guest over my stay. I had booked an executive room at Le Meridien, but I was clearly in one of their premium rooms. It was nice enough, but clearly did not match pictures from Radisson Blu's website.
- GARY (6/5): They should have told me up front - A week before my paid in advance trip I was notified there were major renovations........so the pool and the beach were closed, and the terrace cafes............I was offered nothing for this.............except a shuttle to a swimming place 3 miles away........tied to a shuttle schedule. I asked for my breakfasts to be free.........which should have been offered. It felt kind of sneaky........also.........there was early morning construction noise............not cool........and my room carpet had a big stain on it........felt dirty............. the staff was good...........but.......mixed reviews.

However, AC was set to 16C that was not controlled ever and we also smelled sewage from everywhere. We couldn't sleep due to cold and terrible smell.

The room was clean and modern. I had a few drinks at The Village, which had live music and a great atmosphere. The only negative was the quality of breakfast. Thank you for a wonderful night. - Arlene (10/5): Couple's perfect stay at Le Meridien hotel - We had a great stay at Le Meridien Hotel Abu Dhabi. Check in and check out was easy. The hotel was clean all around. The room was in excellent condition and exactly like the pictures show. What stood out to me was the fantastic wifi connection, which worked great on the entire property. The breakfast buffet had a good selection, and the restaurant staff was so friendly.

Pools & the small beach area was very nice, though sun lounges etc... looked a little tired. The gym was well kitted out and was clean & tidy. Location of hotel was good. Short taxi ride to ‘Marina Mall’ though we preferred ‘Abu Dhabi Mall’ which is a 2 minute walk away. Taxi to the airport in quiet traffic was approximately 70 AED. I think it’s roughly 100 AED from the airport. Hotel staff were friendly & very helpful.

Though it says sea view it was not exactly and you have to go the Balcony to see the view from the side. Staff is friendly but not active specially in the restaurant. May be lack of training as I saw lots of fresh staff where they did not know what they are supposed to do.
