Booked two double rooms and one room was extremely small, one stool only, no room to move around really or sit together. Room is more a luxury single so felt disappointed.

I called the property to explain however still got charged £880 for my trip which I felt could have been dealt with better. I would have taken a credit against a future stay but they were unwavering. Understood it was within 24 hrs but as I’ve stayed before with work and planned to again on numerous occasions I’d have hoped as a valued customer it could have been treated differently

At check-in I was told it was a small room with bed pushed against the wall. I had to pay extra for a normal layout. Receptionist also refused driving licence as photo ID. Litet rum, ett fönster som var täckt av något så man inte såg ut, det gick inte att avgöra om det var ljust el mörkt ute, lyhört. Handdukarna luddade av sig nåt fruktansvärt. Saknade ett litet kylskåp, hängare så man kunde hänga jackor el kläder. Med tanke på vad det kostade så tycker jag att ovan skulle varit bättre. Efter att ha betalat dyra pengar för hotellet så skulle de ändå dra någon form av deposition som skulle sättas tillbaka. Men jag har inte fått tillbaka några pengar.
• Andrew (2/5): - Location We were in a shoe box for £350 we couldn't even walk around bed and our window view was a very old air con unit and many pipes. Not a 4 star and not as advertised.
• Abigail (10/5): Great facilities in a great location - Great location right in the heart of the West End (my room overlooked The Savoy/Paddington). I arrived late after a work event and because I was the last person to check in that night they upgraded me from a Small Double to Superior King. Room was great, really spacious and good facilities. Staff were very friendly, at midnight and in the morning. Honestly nothing - it’s obviously a busy hotel with lots of groups/tourists but they seem to make it work

• Amy (7/5): Amazing. I will definitely come back - The location is very nice. In the best area of london The cleaning is generally very well done. I would just suggest paying a bit more attention to cleaning the bathroom ventilation (VMC/air vent) and the drainage areas around the sink. This is not a criticism of the cleaning staff, who do an excellent job overall.

• Mollie (10/5): Absolutely superb. Well done! - Staff at the Strand Palace were unfailingly aware of the needs of guests. They were helpful, cheerful, kindly - exceptional is the word. I had made a request in advance of my stay, for a room close to the Lift and on a low floor. This was due to my walking difficulties. My request was granted without fail. Also as I moved around the hotel the staff were aware extremely kind and helpful giving assistance where they could. I couldn’t find anything that I didn’t like. My stay was enjoyed and I felt well looked after. I have stayed at the Strand Palace on several occasions over a number of years. This time it was the best ever. It was clear to me that extra staff training on guest awareness had been increased.
• Sophie (10/5): A delight - we will be back! - The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kind. Mohammed was particularly helpful with our luggage. The room was very quiet and the bed super comfortable. Everything runs very smoothly. We were there to celebrate a birthday and the hotel surprised us with chocolates, a balloon, a card and a voucher for free drinks! A couple of coat hooks in the room would be helpful!!

• Deb (8/5): Pleasant stay in a central location - Well-appointed room for a single. Lovely bathroom and I liked the shutters - more effective than curtains and easier to open and close. Unfortunately the TV didn't work properly - no sound on the TV channels. I had this fixed twice, and both times the fault recurred immediately.

• ΝΟΑ (8/5): Central location, confortable stay - Excellent location, clean and comfortable room, friendly staff. Pillows and bed were comfortable, happy with the cleanliness level, loved the bath products. Not a dealbreaker but a pair of slippers would have been nice.
