Clare (5/5): I wouldn’t stay again, the cost does not match as it’s so used and abused. Tired and grubby - The property was very tired, it needs an overhaul. Bathrooms old and grubby, just looking tatty and used. Stained bedding, the air on was hopeless and the bathrooms had chipped tiles and grubby grout. The old phone system is comical. The location and some of the staff were helpful and friendly but that was 50/50

Very difficult to sleep in the morning with the noise of building works being done inside the hotel at a very early time in the morning. Had the hotel adviced us that that there were works being done, we would have cancelled our stay. Extremely disappointing stay, for a 5 start Hotel, given that it was for a special occasion!!

Timothy (9/5): Quality stay in Dublin - A great stay at the Westbury. Perfectly located. Beautiful property. Lux and Comfortable rooms. Wilde is a great restaurant and the lobby lounge is fantastic spot to meet, hang, unwind. Entry stairs are a little daunting. But there is also a lift.

Mark (3/5): not really worth the 2k euros for three nights - The breakfast was pleasant and I had the kippers on my second visit there - I asked for poached eggs with my kippers and a toasted muffin as the toast the time before was terrible - the eggs came on a seperate plate to the kippers atop the muffin! Obviously no one in the kitchen understands how a gentleman enjoys his kippers 😁 It’s probably a generational thing as kippers seem to have gone out of style - mine were delicious and the staff catered to my every need. Would it be possible to have large mugs for tea/coffee as the cups are very small? The room was very noisy and I did not get much sleep from noisy guests - music from next door and general banging around the hotel. When I booked in I was not informed that dinner finished being served at 9.30 this when I presented myself at 9.50 at the main restaurant after a walk and drink in town we were turned away and it took room service an hour to deliver the food and champagne to my room.

Sounded like staff either in the room or using fire emergency stairs. One thing of note i stepped out of the main lounge to take a call when a very rude man put his head out of the conference room and in no uncertain terms told me to “shut up and keep the noise down”. I doubt this was staff but out a downer on my experience

We stayed in two suites which were stunning. This hotel is right in the centre which makes it very convenient for everything. Our beds were very, very comfortable and the room had lots of nice touches. This is my 2nd time at this hotel and each stay has brought many happy memories. The hotel was extremely busy on the day we checked in and there was a slightly late checkin but we offered a round of cocktails which made up for any inconvenience. Not really a bad moment.

Jack (3/5): Not worth the price paid. Similar hotels like the shelbourne much much better - Lovely decoration Room wasn’t ready at check in. Offered to wait in the bar. Was told not to, room got ready and after an hour had to go back down for my own bags and bring them up. Prosecco and flowers requested via email not in room when arrived. Potentially my mistake for not confirmed but email did confirm this would be in the room so this was disappointing Minibar locked off. Was told this was because card wasn’t on file but paid deposit the day before so it should have been on file. Also was not told anything about its use so didn’t know the issue was due to the card Told on arrival to breakfast it wasn’t included. Didn’t mind this but this influenced breakfast choices - was then told after it was included so would have chosen differently if it was. Staff were good and apologised for the issues noted

The room did not meet my expectations for a 5 star hotel. There was no wow factor, you could hear everything in the hall and other rooms and outside. Very disappointing.
Wayne (8/5): Nice hotel let down by poor service and facilities not available to residents - Excellent location. Liked rooms and bathrooms. Quality of breakfast. Room wasn't ready when we arrived after check in time. So we went to the bar and it was very hard to get seating even though we were residents. Breakfast order had to be sent back because they got it wrong. Valet and concierge was a mess upon dropping and retrieval. When picking up my car they came to after 10 minutes of waiting to say they had lost my keys and could i help them search for them. No room for us at restaurant at breakfast even though were were down very early.

Cathy (7/5): - The concierge parking was fab. The rooms did not feel particularly 'King-size', more like standard double. We had flagged that it was my daughter's 21rst bday, they just added a small bun to the room with a happy birthday message. It was impossible as residents to get a table at the cocktail bar (we would have had to pre-book but that wasn't advised ahead) and at one point it wasn't clear that we could get a table for a late night drink in the lounge even as residents. We did in the end, but service was slow until I demanded attention!

James (7/5): Good for a day in town - - The lounge area is very comfortable and luxurious. The staff are also very attentive here. - There is a nice feel and vibe to the hotel. It does feel classy. - Our room was about three hours late for check-in which was disappointing, especially when only staying one night. However, a complimentary upgrade was a nice touch and appreciated.
