- melda (8/5): - We had an overall pleasant stay at Swissôtel Amsterdam. The location is excellent and very convenient for exploring the city, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. However, our experience with the reception staff was disappointing. Most of the receptionists seemed impatient and sometimes even aggressive when we asked questions or needed assistance. A more welcoming and professional attitude would greatly improve the guest experience.

- OneMoreDave (9/5): A great stay in a fascinating city - The hotel is well located in central Amsterdam being only a 10 minute walk from Centraal station (if you leave station from the correct side!) and with a tram stop immediately outside. We booked a Junior Suite to ensure comfort across our 5-night stay and were put in one on the top floor that was surprisingly quiet considering it overlooked the main street. The room was spacious, well equipped, and comfortable. Staff were always polite and helpful. Breakfasts were good as was the meal we ate in the hotel one night. Of course we would have liked it to be cheaper, but then we had chosen a good room in a central hotel in an expensive city, so the price was fairly inevitable. It's perhaps strange that, as a member of the Accor group loyalty programme, their own "Member Rate" was beaten by booking.com 🤔

Auch die „Lage“ war hervorragend, da viele Orte schnell erreichbar waren und die Umgebung angenehm war. Das „Frühstück“ hat uns ebenfalls sehr gefallen, mit guter Auswahl und leckerem Essen. Wenn man auf hohem Niveau meckern möchte, könnte man lediglich erwähnen, dass das Silikon an der Badewanne etwas porös war – ansonsten war alles sehr gut.

- Ulrich-Peter (6/5): Bester Startplatz für alle innerstädtischen Aktivitäten in einem soliden, nicht besonders charmanten und etwas überteuer - Das Hotel liegt mitten im Stadtzentrum Etwas verblasster Charme, das Hotel ist nicht sehr sauber, die Ecken sind alle rund gewischt. Es ist alles sehr auf Effizienz getrimmt. Eine Verlängerungsschnur bekam wir erst im zweiten Anlauf. Steckdosen gab es nur zwei im Zimmer, beide nicht in Nähe des Bettes.

Our room has shower over bath despite requesting a shower only as travelling with elderly restaurant. Was assured this was possible but not available upon arrival. Breakfast was adequate.

We were able to attend the National Remembrance Day program, with no worry on getting back to our hotel. Beds were comfortable & the room is large & has complete amenities (iron, hair dryer).

The room was very quiet, absolutely no noise disturbance in the night (Saturday) even though there are plenty of outdoor bars around. Although some reviews mention housekeeping issues, we had none at all and found the room spotless. The room was smaller than I expected for the price but I guess the central location in a major city on a weekend commands the pricing. We didn't have time for breakfast and ate dinner out so can't comment on the restaurant.

- JourneyPilot (8/5): Excellent room and service, very poor breakfast - Great location and a quality hotel in the center of Amsterdam. Fast check-in and an appreciated room upgrade. As others have said, a very quiet room given the location. The only negative to report is that the cooked food at breakfast was stone cold on both mornings, which was concerning from a food hygiene perspective. The hot plates used were either not on or too low temperature to keep the food warm. I wouls stay again but would grab breakfast from somewhere else.

- 304safak (8/5): Ideal stay for the city - A fab central hotel, just a 10 minute walk from the main train station - a flat/straight on stroll which is so ideal if travelling with suitcases. Conveniently located with all of the amenities nearby. Mini fridge provided in the room and were given two complimentary bottles of water each day which was a nice touch. Lovely staff and comfortable rooms, can’t fault it - with only the exception that our room faced onto a brick wall but it’s understandable as it’s a terraced hotel as most central buildings are. Would definitely stay again!

- ILESHKUMAR (7/5): Breakfast service very disappointing - omelette order not consistent - food runs out ?? - Location. The room aircondition noisy, at night we had to switch off we could not sleep. The coffee machine switch on instructions not correct. We were unable to use 1st day. The coffee pods not correspond to flavour type on the wooden box, difficult to know what flavours. At breakfast on 1st day I ordered egg omelette with veg no meat, very nice tasty. Second day ordered same BUT received plain. Third day same order this time only filled with mushrooms. When I complained I was told kitchen very busy ?. we arrived 8.30am for breakfast , we found most items not available, when complained we were told customers all come early . We were disappointed with Breakfast service
