- Ovetta (10/5): - This hotel is dated but the staff and proximity to London’s theatre district more than made up for its lack of modernization. This is a grand old broad with new outfits - including a not so finished fitness center, pop up restaurant and lovely bar.

The downstairs ladies facilities were stuffy with an overriding smell caused by lack of good ventilation. £28 breakfast served from menu was underwhelming and sad on the plate. Rooms should have coffee machines - not instant!!

The room we had was a disabled/accessible room which was not ideal as the basin being so low was awkward as being pregnant I could bend down properly to use it. The evening room service was prompt tasty and hot, however the breakfast in the morning was tasty but was not hot, tepid at best, which was a little disappointing.

The water was always lovely, hot and the bed, pillows very comfortable. The breakfast was fabulous, I recommend the Avocado toast. The girls on reception were always friendly and smiling as was the doorman. We would definitely stay here again.

We would turn on the "Make up room" light, and by the time we got back from breakfast, our room was clean! The Breakfast was so very worth the price. Full global selections plus menu items - all included in an opulent setting. They even have a to-go breakfast station for those in a hurry. Did I mention the heated towel racks and the iron and ironing board, and the beverage/safe closet???

- Hackett (6/5): Great location for the theatre - Stayed for one night as a family on arrival the reception and bar areas looked modern and grand, however our rooms didn’t quite meet our expectations definitely not the same feel as reception. We used the bar and accompaniment of nuts came we were charged £10 for the privilege. I understand London is expensive my children ordered pancakes for breakfast three arrived and each had a glass of orange juice we were charged just short of £29 each a little excessive in my opinion.

YES, perfect location for shopping and to walk to see a show

It wasn't till the next night, after I had reached out and called and asked about it that they confirmed they "accidentally" had placed me in the wrong room. But still didn't refund me for the night their staff gave me the wrong room. Then separately, fitness is very important to me and their gym facility is disgusting. They didn't even clean the mess from the day before of people's water cups and towels. They were still all over the floor. There's barely any machines. Their bathrooms were out of use. Their sauna and steam rooms (which they advertised they had available) were unavailable. And one of the days they simply had no cups for water for anyone at the gym.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, going above and beyond to make us feel at home. A special highlight of our stay was the delightful surprise of an upgraded room upon check-in—a gesture that truly set the tone for our visit. Our room was wonderfully spacious and designed for ultimate comfort. The beds were unbelievably comfortable, offering us some of the best nights of sleep we’ve had in a hotel. Both the room and the hotel itself were impeccably clean, with attention to detail in every corner, which added to the overall luxurious atmosphere. The hotel’s gym was adequate and did the job, providing the essential equipment needed for a basic workout. While not particularly standout, it was clean and well-maintained, which made it a convenient option for staying active during our trip. Finally, the location couldn’t have been more perfect. Situated in the heart of London, it allowed us easy access to many iconic landmarks, theaters, and dining options, making our stay all the more convenient and enjoyable. We cannot recommend The Waldorf Hotel highly enough and are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you to the team for making our stay so memorable!
- Charles (8/5): No hot towels in renovated rooms. - Towel heater did not work. Apparently renovations done did not re-connect the hot water pipe that feeds the towel bar. The front desk sent the maintenance man three times. It wasn't until we were in the room when the nice maintenance man came and explained the problem.

Too much dressing on the salad. The hotel was beautifully decorated for the holidays. Loved the all spice cinnamon fragrance of the lobby.

- MARIAN (2/5): Not worth the money - I was really excited to stay at this world famous hotel but never expected to have such a terrible stay. The bed was so hard I was in pain. I tried lying on top of the duvet but it was so thin it made no difference. I ended up folding it in half and sleeping on top of it under 2 dressing gowns as there was no spare bedding in the wardrobe. When I complained in the morning I was told that they were surprised as the beds were brand new. Also there was no decaffeinated tea or coffee available in my room and they couldn’t find any. The room service is extremely slow and they charge you again for breakfast if it’s in your room as you have to eat downstairs.

Staff attitude poor generally except for reception staff and Scottish door man who were good. Room was clean and well presented but attention to detail poor… eg no milk for tea/coffee tray, open and empty biscuit packet on tray on first day, rubbish in bin from previous guest. Requests re room not fulfilled. We paid for an upgrade which allowed entry to executive suite but only managed to get in once over 3 days as it was full. Hotel bar/lobby also impossible to get into as full… overall disappointing…

The previous time we had stayed at the hotel all of the staff were wonderful in every way. A real difference this time.
