• Debra (10/5): Absolutely amazing time! Rome was awesome. This hotel was great - Our stay at Hotel Barocco was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived, every single member of the staff made us feel genuinely welcomed, cared for, and appreciated. Before we even made it to the hotel, we were stranded at the airport with no transportation after an exhausting day of travel. The front desk immediately stepped in, arranged a car service for us, and completely took the stress off our shoulders. The driver was professional, kind, and went above and beyond helping us with all of our luggage when we arrived. Once we got to the hotel, the incredible hospitality continued. The staff warmly greeted us, assisted with our bags, answered every question we had, recommended amazing restaurants in the area, and even helped us book excursions during our stay. Their attention to detail and willingness to help with absolutely anything truly stood out. Breakfast each morning was another highlight of our trip. The food was delicious, but what made it even more special was the warmth and kindness of the breakfast staff. Maricarr, Elisabetty, and Marco were absolutely wonderful — attentive, friendly, engaging, and genuinely interested in getting to know us. You can tell they truly love what they do, and it made every morning such a pleasure. One night we accidentally locked ourselves out of our room, and before we even made it fully back upstairs, a staff member was already there helping us get back in. We didn’t wait even 30 seconds. That level of attentiveness and service completely blew us away. The sweetest touch of all was that the staff remembered from check-in that we were celebrating our honeymoon. We returned to our room to find a beautifully handwritten note and champagne waiting for us. It was such a thoughtful and personal gesture that made our trip feel even more special. Danielle, Matteo, Auguri, (one more concierge I’m drawing a blank on his name!- I’m sorry) and the entire Hotel Barocco team were simply unbelievable. Nothing I can think of at this time

• Matan (8/5): Cute but small boutique hotel - The staff was very nice and friendly. The hotel was in a very central location in the city, with the metro station on the sleeper line 20 meters from the hotel door. And even if you don't take the metro, everything is within a 10-12 minute walk of almost any central site in the city. The breakfast is very tasty and rich, but you have to reserve a table the day before and they serve the food to your table, so you have to take that into account, but the food comes very fresh and very quickly to the table, so it wasn't a problem in terms of waiting and you could order the same dish several times. The room was very small for my taste. The bed was not a king size but more like a 1.5 And it was very disappointing because in the description of the room and the hotel's description in the pictures of the room it is clear including the choice I made that it was supposed to be a large double bed. They told me that because I was alone and not a couple, this is what they had to give me. In my opinion, this does not match how they explained, described the room and included the choice I made of a large bed in the booking itself. The view from the room was internal, into an alley full of air conditioners and dirty, dark pipes, there is no view of the square! Or the street itself, this was a very big disappointment and in my opinion also a very big deception on their part. In the pictures and description they state that there is a view of the square and the street, instead I got a window that faces a dark and dirty back alley with no view. The hotel should explicitly list certain things regarding breakfast, view and size of bed and room and not mislead people

The pictures of the booking and the room that we booked aren’t close to what the room looks like in person. Felt like the room was a bit outdated and old looking. It was still conformable and enjoyable but to me not worth the price paid.

Funcionarios: simpáticos Quarto extremamente pequeno, com cheiro ruim (aluguei 2 quartos, os 2 estavam assim) e nao adiantou reclamar, o cheiro era do quarto mesmo (cuidado alérgicos!!). Além disso, em determinado momento os corredores estavam com cheiro de cigarro e a recepção disse que isso as vezes acontece, pois as pessoas passam na rua e o cheiro sobe. Qualidade pessima dos itens de banheiro, pelo preço e se considerar 4 estrelas, deveria ter produtos compatíveis. Hotel ultrapassado, quartos e mobiliários ultrapassa dos, principalmente quando se compara com preço e outros hotéis. Só tem 1 Elevador, que nao coube minha familia com as malas.

• Tourist277654 (10/5): Hotel Barocco is a Fabulous Boutique Hotel! - Hotel Barocco is a fabulous boutique hotel located in the heart of Rome within walking distance of most of the best tourist sites like the Trevi Fountain, the Palladium and Spanish Steps. The staff was warm and welcoming and helpful with anything we needed. They arranged taxi transport and restaurant reservations for us as a couple and even for a larger group of 8. The hotel is clean, well-appointed and has a great breakfast. The lounge in the evening was fun and interesting and we met people from all over while there.

Their breakfast every morning was a personalized experience that started the day off on the perfect note. And finally, the bar area was a meeting place after dinner for seemingly most people who were at the hotel, all of whom were fairly seasoned international travelers and very interesting to meet and have conversations with. In our experience that is fairly unique for a boutique hotel. All in all a wonderful experience. We highly recommend it.

The front desk would do everything for you from calling a cab to restaurant reservations with a smile and grazie. The breakfast staff was the same way. Making sure you were exceptional that you felt like royalty. The breakfast was very exceptional which I don’t want to say, you have to see it for yourself. Location is very close to main attractions that bring you to Rome. The cleanliness of the hotel is top of the line. We had a small room but that didn’t matter because we were on the go. If you need anything for your room like beer, wine, go to Tiger. Very close to hotel and most reasonable. My wife and I want to thank the staff at Hotel Barocco for most enjoyable stay. Can’t wait to see all of you again.

• A6075AJdavidb (10/5): Incredible stay for our anniversary - We booked Hotel Barocco for our 20 year anniversary stay after seeing the reviews and I am so glad that we did. We decided to book our transfers through the hotel, we were met at the airport by a smartly dressed driver who escorted us to a very nice black Mercedes. He offered us water and pointed out landmarks as we passed them on the journey, which was around 45 mins from FCO airport. We arrived at Hotel Barocco and were met by Daniele, who was very friendly and instantly made us feel at home. We went to our room which was absolutely beautiful and served our needs perfectly. Our bags were brought to our room for us, we unpacked and headed to the bar to unwind. The hotel is small which gave it a warm, private feeling - much more personal than a large hotel. We didn't catch the barman's name because he was rushing around looking after everyone but he settled us down and brought us drinks and snacks (nuts, crisps and olives the size of gold balls). It was perfect. I am assuming this was Jean-Luc from the other reviews. In the mornings we had the breakfast which was included with the price of the room. This was one of the highlights for me as it was so high end. We were brought chilled bottle of water, freshly squeezed orange juice and pots of English breakfast tea. After this we were brought freshly baked rolls, fresh fruit slices, meats and cheeses, cakes and THEN they also take your order for pancakes or a cooked breakfast. The food was all absolutely beautiful and set us up for the day. The following evening we sat in the bar for a couple of drinks with a different barman - Marco, who kept us company and engaged us in great conversation, introduced us to delicious Italian wines and beers while stood polishing glasses behind the bar. It was a brilliant evening so thank you Marco. The location is excellent. We walked to all the landmarks, the furthest was The Vatican at around 40 mins stroll but it was a joy to do because around every corner was a new beautiful site to see. Trevi fountain, The Pantheon and the Spanish steps and just a short walk away,. The hotel is located on Piazza Barberini which has a Metro station very close so you can get public transport around the city if you prefer, but we preferred to walk and drink in the atmosphere...and the drinks. The hotel is spotless, all the staff speak excellent English, the location is wonderful. I cannot praise Hotel Barocco enough and we would return tomorrow if we could. Thank you all for making our holiday so special.

The location is one of the best in Rome, the breakfast was delicious, and the service was excellent. We stayed in Room 42, which has a balcony with wonderful views of the Fontana del Tritone. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and very quiet. We travel all over the world and have stayed at much more expensive hotels, but this is one of our very favorites.

Service was perfect with a very funny head waiter, but the food was the best i have ever eaten, eggs perfect, bacon perfect omelette exceptional. If i was a hotel in Rome i would steal that chef for sure :) John-Luka made us individualised cocktails which were delicious, Daniel booked us restaurants, zoo visits and everything we wanted, and waiting staff dealt with my wifes gluten fee request superbly as well as singing her happy birthday :) Superb hotel, highly recommend

• Dr. Darko (4/5): - Die Lage ist ok Die Mitarbeiter sind bemüht. Die Zimmer sind nur auf den Fotos so lichdurchflutet und groß. Das Standard Doppelzimmer: man öffnet die Türe und kann gleich aufs Bett fallen. Zu zweit kann man sich gleichzeitig in diesem Zimmer nicht bewegen. Das Doppelzimmer höherem Standards ist dunkel und die Aussicht ist ein kleiner Nebenhof. Die Dusche, also der obere Teller hat, während man die Handbrause nutzte, stärker getropft. Dementsprechend waren die Haare ungewollt auch nass. Für das Frühstück muss man eine Uhrzeit buchen, da der Raum im Keller sehr klein ist und dadurch man die Flexibilität, einfach zu erscheinen, nicht hat. Für den Preis gibt es bestimmt auch andere Hotels.

• Sandie (10/5): Perfect place to stay - we would thoroughly recommend - The staff were so friendly and helpful and went out of their way to make our stay special. The breakfast and also the cocktails were amazing. We had an amazing stay and would highly recommended.

Their helpfulness and friendliness were deeply appreciated. The nicest staff we've ever experienced in Europe. Hotel itself is beautiful. and in a great location to sights & restaurants.

• Sandra (9/5): - Alle sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, die Lage des Hotels super zum zu Fuß erkunden. Das Frühstück mega, das System mit am Platz bestellen finde ich persönlich genial. So beugt man Essensverschwendung vor und es erzeugte so eine ruhige Atmosphäre. Zimmer war Richtung Straße und daher recht laut. War aber darauf vorbereitet und hatte Oropax mit. 😊

• Taffs (9/5): Fantastic staff in an excellent hotel - Great hotel. The staff were excellent. The room was lovely, big enough and we'll appointed. Nice decor and furniture. The served breakfast was a highlight. Excellent food and service. Great position in the city. Only one fault with this lovely hotel. Heating wasn't working in the rooms (not just ours). Hotel provided us with a small heater. Bathroom was very cold.

Great location and within walking distance of most attractions. Great breakfast We had one superior deluxe room which was a little small and there was not a lot of area for luggage or storage. Also bathroom lacked shelf space for toiletries

• Louise (10/5): First Class Stay for Our First Time in Rome - Hotel Barocco Is Exceptional! - Hotel Barocco's location is superb - within walking distance of many of Rome's treasures, not far from a Metro station, near a variety of dining options, and close to shopping. Our room was generous, well-appointed, sound-proof, super clean, and very comfortable. Most important, however, is the hotel's staff who made us feel so very welcome. We loved starting the day with a delicious full breakfast hosted by the friendliest team, and coming back after a long day welcomed by the always professional and cheerful front office staff. They were always happy to help us with dining and transportation questions. Highly recommend this hotel. Mille Grazie to everyone who made our 7-day stay exceptional! For people with mobility issues, please note that there is a good elevator but you still have to navigate some steps in order to reach different levels of this hotel.

• crathee (10/5): Truly Amazing - We had an amazing stay at Hotel Barocco and would absolutely return. What truly made the experience stand out was the staff—they were exceptional from start to finish. Every day they went above and beyond, offering helpful suggestions (especially for dinner spots!) and making sure we felt taken care of at all times. The location is perfect—so central that most major sights are easily walkable, and metro access is close by for anything a bit farther out. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and the bathroom was surprisingly spacious for Rome, which was a great bonus. Breakfast each morning was fantastic, with an all-you-can-eat à la carte menu that felt both high-quality and thoughtful—especially since it helps reduce food waste. Overall, a wonderful experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

Hotel is very central, which makes it easy to walk to main landmarks Staff seemed helpful, but willing to tend to my feedback and ask for help only if I insisted on getting the service in question. Examples were: bathroom shower drain was clogged, so I had to turn off the water during shower to avoid having my feet soaked in 'dirty water'. I asked for a different room, and they suggested waiting another day to have the proper technician look at the issue. When I pushed to change rooms, they made arrangements. I was supposed to leave before 7AM and would miss breakfast. My flight was delayed so I had time to eat, but when I asked to have breakfast they told me they were fully booked! Not until they noticed I was upset about not being allowed to have breakfast that I had paid for, they 'found' a table for us - btw, the breakfast area had 3 empty tables and nobody joined during the time we were there eating.

• Kelly (8/5): Rome - A quaint and charming room in an older building with an awesome staff that were sincerely friendly and welcoming! It’s located in a great location and we had a wonderful view of the fountain. If you like walking the city we were within 15-30 min of everything. Nice size bathroom and amenities. The breakfast was good and the coffee was excellent The bed was hard and uncomfortable so I didn’t get a lot of sleep. My husband wasn’t a big fan of the shower as the handheld attachment was located near his feet. I liked the rain shower but it was a bit wonky at times. I don’t think you’d call it a great value for your money but I’m glad we stayed.
