- LuoCJ (4/5): Stay elsewhere - The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of the train station. While checking in, the front desk was more concerned about selling - first, offering me a suite (and sounding ironic when I declined - ''it's very big!'') rather than gauging the guest's needs - why would a solo traveller for a very short stay need a suite? The technical glithes to the front door persisted and I had to go down at least twice to get it sorted. Instead of a simple apology, I got a condescending, ''did you insert the card with the chip facing up''? When I asked for info about train and transport services, again, it was unhlepful and was told to ''check online''. May I know, why did the hotel advertise for its ''concierge'' services then?! The last straw - I asked for creamer which they did not bother to replenish, considering I stayed two nights - it took 5 phone calls and a 45 minute wait, again, with zero apologies but with lots of insolence.
- dmaccallum63 (8/5): Great hotel near the main station and 4 stops to the Duomo - Very good hotel in a central location albeit the surrounding area is a bit rough. Interior is classic stylish Italian design. All dark colours and marble everywhere. Breakfast buffet ok but playing loud Christmas tunes so loud that it made you shout to one another . Great for a short pit stop in Milan
- 653shervellel (10/5): Great and Convenient! - We enjoyed our stay here as it is super convenient and is just a short walk from Milan Centrale. Most tourist attractions in Milan are all 10-15 minutes by train which made it easy for us to explore the city with our short time here. We also would like to commend the service at the buffet breakfast! They were all friendly and hospitable, especially Melissa who made the whole dining experience so welcoming. She was very friendly and initiative which really left a better experience with this hotel. We really recommend this hotel to all travellers!
- amitayr2023 (10/5): Great staying - Excellent hotel. Close to the center within a short walk, excellent service, clean, reasonable breakfast. The staff makes an effort to meet every request, comfortable and well-equipped gym, pleasant bar for the evening, we feel safe and environmentally friendly. I have visited it quite a few times and will definitely continue to return.

- Mala_n_Snow (8/5): It's all about the People - The location was great - a two minute walk from the high speed train station. The staff was great checking us in and three room was great - well appointed. We were upgraded from a Junior Suite to a Suite as we were celebrating a special anniversary. We were taken care of immediately when we needed taxis etc. Very impressive. The mark off is for the television in the living room not working and their techs being unable to remedy this. They do deserve absolute thumbs up and accolades on their food - breakfasts and dinners. Even the pickiest eaters have great choices and will be pleased with there is. However, my entire visit was topped off with my evening in the bar having a nice quiet dinner listening to incredible jazz music. Unlike the loud techno music playing the night before, this was relaxing and the selection of dinner options on the bar menu was perfect, delicious. But the real topper was the Bartender Jose. He was the most professional, kind, sweet and engaging. A total gentleman. When I told him I spoke Spanish instead of Italian, we immediately had the best conversation about everything. He explained a lot about Italy and things that finally made sense. It was refreshing speaking to someone in my first/second language fluently and not struggling like I had been with so many who had been trying to speak broken English with us. I hope they realize what an asset they have in Jose (from Peru) and his people skills. For this reason alone if we are ever back in Milan (which I plan on), he is the main reason I/we will be booking here again.

We walked right out of the station and were at the hotel in a 3 minutes walk! We ordered room service and it was good and arrived in a timely fashion. The Hotel and rooms were clean and safe. - FMMG (10/5): Smart hotel! - We enjoyed 2 nights at this very smart, modern hotel. It's handy for the main station. There are a few nice bars/cafes nearby. Our room was very comfortable & stylish. Good quality linens and nice big towels. Efficient air-con. Decent size bathroom with good shower. Public areas are very contemporary and smart. Staff are very efficient and polite. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel for a very comfortable stay in Milan.

Staff were helpful, check-in was smooth, and the vibe is calm and professional. Great spot for a short stay or business trip. Only downside some rooms are a bit small. Would stay again for the convenience alone.

One of the morning staff members that stood out was Mai Mai. She was so lovely, friendly and welcoming every morning. And she makes the best cappuccino I ever had. Mai Mai goes out of her way to please. She is a real gem for the hotel.

Thank you to Maimai in the breakfast area with our vegan breakfast. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at this hotel. The hotel is very nice, modern and very clean. Location is very good with a 3 minute walk to the Milan Centrale station. The station is very good with trains to many locations. Lake Como can be reached in 50 minutes. The bus station location is just outside the Centrale station also with buses direct to Malpensa airport. We will definitely choose this hotel in this location again.

My only criticism is that the doors have some minor issues and could use some love. I would definitely stay here next visit to Milan.

- adamaC440HG (4/5): Not great, poor sleep and staff - Overall the hotel is quite nice and it’s perfectly located next to the train station. Unfortunately we encountered some (avoidable) issues which made the stay unsatisfactory. We arrived at 1230 and checkin officially starts at 1500. I was on crutches and ideally needed somewhere to rest so we were sold a “discounted upgrade” to a higher room category for 40 Euros. If that was a higher room category then I’d hate to see the original one…. It was small, dusty and the aircon was pretty poor. Worst of all we discovered at 5am that the blackout curtains don’t actually cover all of the window (and they were ripped) - so we were woken up by the sun. See photo. So the most important thing in a hotel (ie sleep) was not achieved. Tried to have some lunch at the hotel restaurant but told the restaurant was not open due to a large conference being in the hotel. Made to feel like this was OUR fault by the staff!! Eventually they let us eat something from the (limited) bar menu. Breakfast is ok, not amazing. Edible. Shower gel dispenser empty in bathroom - such a basic thing to check by housekeeping. Raised my feedback with reception at checkout. Their response? Timid apology and they knocked off the 3-4 Euros for chocolate from the minibar. Insulting outcome. Would not return here.

- Darby (10/5): - The staff at this hotel are so incredible. So kind and so helpful at every turn. The lobby is beautiful, the breakfast was a great spread, we felt very comfortable and safe here.
- SUJAL (10/5): - Beautiful art work in hotel. Easy to get cab & train steps away. Nice bar & seating areas. Best of the best was with my family of us 4. My10years old loved it. Everything was 10-12 min away in taxi. Over all excellent.
- ELSA MATILDE (10/5): - Always great to reach one of the Starhotels through Italy. Clean, great design (maybe a little more light in the hallways?), delicious food and a supeb staff. Friendly and profesional at the same time. I tour Europe at least six month a year and stay at 4 or 5 stars hotels and during 2025 it's been very hard to find even a smile or a friendly welcome both in Swiss and in Italy. So the polite and friendly atention we'got at E.C.H.O Milano was refreshing. From Francesca and Mark at the restaurant to everybody working at the hotel was awsome. Next Spring while touring Italy during 3 months or so we'll cernainly come back many times to this true gem, even though we do not particulary enjoy Milano. Congrats. Grazie mille. Ci vediamo!

- missybrown123 (10/5): MOVED MYSELF ACROSS THE STREET THIS TIME…… - I have for sometime always stayed at Starhotels Anderson in Milano Centrale. This trip I chose the sister hotel ECHO across the street! What a wonderful hotel experience! Offered a free upgrade upon arrival, the restaurant was great- everything fresh, much organic , comfortable beds, great staff, I could go on and on and one! This will be my new “go to” when in Milan for a short stay!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Starhotels: Home away from Home through Europe - Great choice while touring Italy without spending time in Milan, the only one Italian city I don't fancy. Have stayed at many of their hotels (Bologna, Saturnia, Vicenza...) and keep coming back because they never dissapoint. Contemporary design, spotless clean and superb staff. Would have enjoy a King size bed but was not really an issue. Grazie mille!

- Abhishek (10/5): - The hotel is very close to the train station. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and well kept and spacious. They had an amazing breakfast spread. The hotel staff even stored our luggage for us before and anfter check-in/check out. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel if you prefer to stay close to train station.

Many hotels near train station tend to be below average, but this one surpasses expectations from photos, wow. Most amenities are top quality. Staffs so professional. The only tricky thing: streets behind this building lack street-lamps and security might be compromised at night.

- Sabrina (10/5): Excellent and comfortable near the station stay - Excellent front desk service; all the staff was very kind, helpful and empathetic with our needs. We even returned to the same hotel a couple of days later. Breakfast is unbeatable and the staff at the restaurant makes you feel at home. Greeting and luggage staff members ready to help! We loved this hotel conveniently close to the station and with the comfort and warm welcome that made us feel at home.

- Nicole (8/5): Nice hotel near main train station - The staff were super friendly in this hotel. Rooms very comfortable, pleasant bar in which I had both drinks and dinner one night. The gym is very small (three people made it very busy and difficult to find space to work out) but the gym is on the roof with views across Milan which is very nice and makes a difference from the usual basement location. Overall, a nice hotel but parking in the area is a nightmare, I ended up in a private multistory at EUR 31/night.

- X264GPmt (10/5): Great location and a wonderful hotel to book - I booked this hotel for its convenience to the train station. However, what we experienced was even more amazing. Clean, comfortable and modern. It is really walkable to the central train staton. If you use taxi or bus for transportation, they are across the street. Lots of eateries around the hotel if you want to grab something or sit outdoors to eat. The hotel restaurant food is delicious. Breakfast is average. Friendly and helpful staff all in all. I can’t remember all the names, but the front desk ladies who were so helpful to charge my phone until I bought a new adapter. The door men who are all kind and give you guidance when you need one. The restaurant ladies Karol who took a good care of my son and I every time, either room service or at breakfast. Aurora who I asked if they have a match to light up a birthday candle end up surprising my son all the way. She brought out a muffin with the lighted candle singing happy birthday with other staffs. You made our stay so pleasant. Thank you to all of you!

Why not use a trash container with several compartments marked plastic, glass etc. ? Second the breakfasts were under par. The scrambled eggs cold from the chafing dish and the prosciutto was full of chewy fat non-swallowable as was the pineapple, core cut with pieces
