The lovely concierge lady was super helpful. She even gave us a whatsapp number to contact her to make reservations in real time. The only thing spotty was the quality/presentation of food sent for room service. However, the included breakfast in the restaurant was superb.

- zach_athan (10/5): Exceptional Stay at Hotel Regency! - I recently spent 3 wonderful nights at the beautiful Hotel Regency and had a truly exceptional stay. As a solo traveler, I appreciated my room on the top floor, which featured two small balconies with a reduced view—a major plus for high privacy! The hotel and room interiors boast an amazing retro vintage design that is both stylish and appealing. My bed was very comfortable, but the real highlight was the spacious bathroom, featuring gorgeous pure marble floors. Having both a shower cabin and a bathtub was luxurious, and all necessary amenities were consistently present and refilled. The housekeeping staff is incredibly professional. My room was maintained and cleaned twice per day. The evening turn-down service included complimentary sweets and a fresh bottle of water (if needed). Despite the low temperatures in Florence during my stay, the room was perfectly warm, and I never even needed to use the air conditioning. The check-in and check-out processes were friendly and smooth—a great first and last impression. The hotel's beautiful bar and restaurant with a garden are lovely spaces, and the restaurant staff were consistently friendly and attentive. The breakfast options include a rich buffet and an à la carte menu. I opted for the buffet, and the quality and variety were outstanding. The jazz music played in the lobby and restaurant perfectly complements the hotel's classic design aesthetic. I thoroughly enjoyed the location. It offers a peaceful retreat from the crowded historical center, situated in a charming local neighborhood near a large park and schools. Yet, the main center is easily accessible with just a 12–15 minute walk. In summary, I had a great and comfortable stay and would definitely recommend and hope to return! - MaliFamily (10/5): Like being at a friend’s elegant home. - The only thing that might not be to everyone’s liking is the location, about 0.8 miles from the Duomo. We prefer to be away from noisy tourist area and appreciate a little walk after dinner so fine for us. On the one day we needed to be somewhere quickly, the front desk called us a cab that arrived in a couple minutes. It was my birthday and so kind that there was a plate of cookies waiting for me in our room and a muffin with a birthday candle in it for breakfast on my actual birthday. I had failed to book activities one day but George, the front desk manager took care of arrangements and we had a great day! Gemma, at the front desk went above and beyond when she made me a same day hair appointment on a Monday (most salons closed on Monday)! There is nothing the staff is unwilling to help with. The cleaning staff also greeted us warmly each morning and provided very nice turn down service. This hotel had done an excellent job hiring and training its staff.

The second room offered was a large king size bedroom… The only problem was it was right next to reception on the first floor. It was noisy and more importantly the bathtub was dangerous, dangerously slanted, and very hard to get in and out. The staff was great they could get taxis. They were very happy to accommodate us, but the room situation was not good The location was very nice along the park. It was a bit out of the way to access most of the tourist attractions and walk the streets, but we manage nicely and frankly the Regency hotel has passed its charm as a grand Dame It’s rather shabby. Particularly the bathrooms.

- VGONLINE (8/5): Classic property but aging - The hotel is a boutique property run by Hilton. It is in a quiet residential neighborhood and is about 20 minute walk away from the main Duomo. The service staff is excellent as can be expected in a boutique property. The main problem we had was slippery room floors ( for some reason the wooden floors were quite slippery) as well as the marble bathroom floors. Any water in the bathroom floor was almost lethal. We did not get a chance to try the breakfast due to our schedule. And this is specifically for Hilton.. for a boutique property like this which is not cheap, it kind of kills the experience when the hotel check in management tells you that you are allowed one free bottle of water everyday!! I am aware that is the Hilton policy for non Diamond members but the policy should be adapted depending on the property!

We were welcomed by Gemma, a true professional who has all the information at her fingertips tips. The complimentary breakfast was delicious and well presented with a wide variety of choices. The wait staff is both friendly and professional. The room we had was elegant and the bed was HUGE, way bigger than a king. I highly recommend Hotel Regency.

- anjie2022 (10/5): Wonderful Experience in the Heart of Florence - Hotel Regency Firenze is a beautiful, boutique hotel in a quiet neighborhood that is walking distance to most attractions. The entire staff (housekeeping, wait staff, maitre d', sommelier and concierge) was truly exceptional, catering to our every need. Our VIP tickets, private tour, and dinner reservations were waiting for us upon check in, and events went flawlessly. The chef of Relais le Jardin, the restaurant hotel, was truly exemplary. We returned to eat in the Bistro for a second night after our exquisite meal in the restaurant. Compliments to staff and to management for providing an unforgettable trip to Florence.

- ChengYYeh (4/5): Old Facilities, Poor Maintenance, Unprofessional Service - We stayed here for two nights through Hilton’s partnership with Small Luxury Hotels, but the experience was disappointing. We were not given any room upgrade or other benefits, and the hotel felt far from a true luxury or five-star standard. We were placed in a small attic room that was extremely hot from the moment we entered, and the weak air conditioning did nothing to cool it down. The furniture was outdated, with obvious rust stains on surfaces, the bathroom flooded, the shower was broken, and some pieces of furniture were unusable. While the front desk staff were friendly, other services felt unprofessional, such as being offered a staff member’s personal bottle opener instead of a proper one. Overall, the facilities and service fell well short of expectations, and I would not recommend this hotel, especially in summer. The hotel is also not very conveniently located—most city center attractions require at least a 15–20 minute walk.

The hotel is beautiful, staying here was like traveling back in time to a vintage luxury. We were supplied robes and slippers, and they even supplied a children’s robe and teddy bear slippers for my son, which shows how caring the staff is. This was the best hospitality service we have received, and we have traveled the world! Also, the restaurant downstairs served some of the best food i’ve ever had, loved the tasting menu! The location is a little questionable, but that is not under the control of the hotel. If you take a taxi into the downtown areas, it is a well-worth it short ride.

The rooms are beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. The hotel has a lovely garden where you can enjoy a peaceful breakfast. The breakfast was very good, with fresh and tasty options. The location is great—close to the center but quiet. The food, the service, and the calm atmosphere made everything perfect. We truly loved this hotel and would happily stay here again. A five-star experience!

It is very clean, friendly staff, extremely comfortable beds, classy. Leave your heavy metal key and fob at the desk because it does set off metal detectors.

- pgordon19073 (10/5): A very special place - Review of a hotel should include service, the physical facilities and the design and comfort of the room. The Regency excels and exceeds all expectations across every category. The hotel is staffed with mature seasoned, professionals. For a hotel with only 30 rooms, there are always at least 2 people in the office, a porter, an engineer, multiple waiters and a full kitchen staff. The quality of the staff creates a welcoming atmosphere from the moment you enter the hotel and continues throughout the stay. There is no request that they will not fulfill from taxi reservations, dinner reservations, arranging tours, or tracking lost luggage. The common areas are warm, inviting intimate spaces that feel like small sitting rooms. They invite conversation, a place to have a bottle of water, or read the morning papers. The dining room and gardens are lovely, quite spacious, and feel truly private. I am an early riser and sat in the garden each morning from 5:45. I was served a pot of coffee and waited comfortably until the breakfast buffet began. The buffet offers a wide variety of fresh local fruits, cheeses, fresh breads, pastries and eggs. There is granola, bran, nuts and multiple yogurts. All are freshly prepared/ baked every morning. The banana bread this morning was warm…The garden area is peaceful,very pretty but would be improved by the introduction of some flowering vines and potted plants with color. The rooms are spacious, open airy with large bathrooms, including a soaking tub and separate stall shower. Bathroom s are well lit and easy to navigate. The linens are soft and plentiful. The closet space and drawers are sized to allow one to unpack their clothes and stay. The lighting is exceptional with modern indirect ceiling lighting, paired with with bedside lamps, and directional reading lights. Beds are firm and comfortable The interior doors are mirrored and we found it slightly disconcerting. Our first room had a shelf in the shower [309], our second room (307) did not have the shelf. As a person who likes to shave in the shower, I miss the shelf. .

- jessengee (10/5): Wonderful Florentine Hotel - Simply put, this is a fantastic hotel in a great location. It is on the quiet end of a large-ish park yet you are the middle of the bustle of Florence within a ten minute walk. It is close to multiple squares and the museum where the David sculpture is displayed. We made a couple of trips to the countryside and we were on the ring road out of town in no time. The room was clean, spacious and beautiful. The linens were soft. Breakfast was included in our stay, which was a nice touch. The hotel also had some nice seating areas where you could either dine or just enjoy a drink. The staff was courteous and fun!

The concierge and his team made the experience unforgettable: they managed to secure museum tickets for me and even arranged for a rental car to be delivered directly to the hotel. The hotel's amenities combine quality with refinement, featuring a retro touch: mouldings, elegant furnishings, and the use of traditional keys rather than access cards. There is also an private garden/courtyard which is great for relaxing at the end of the day. I highly recommend it to anyone seeking charm, tranquility, and service.

- The1Elbert (10/5): Home away from home. Old world charm with modern comforts. - We stayed at Hotel Regency for 3 nights and had an incredibly memorable experience. The hotel itself is incredibly charming and very tastefully curated. As a boutique hotel, you will not find a lot of guests staying at one time which allows for a quiet environment and calming atmosphere. What really is the standout of Hotel Regency are the people who work there. In the U.S., we could not obtain tickets to the Uffizi Gallery and Academia Gallery (due to some glitch on the mueum's website). We emailed the concierge at Hotel Regency and they helped procure these immediately. Every staff person we encountered was extremely gracious and knowledgable without ever being pretentious. Our rooms were cleaned daily and turned down every evening all while caring for our personal items with utmost care and respect. Our favorite part of the experience was the breakfast. There was an incredible selection of local cheeses, cured meats, eggs, baked goods, fresh fruits, juices and coffees. The only thing that topped the food and beverage selection was the service. We enjoyed having thoughtful conversations with the team. We could not have asked for more and will be lifelong guests of Hotel Regency in all of our future travels to Florence. - 703deenap (8/5): Location wins, staff doesn’t! - I have mixed thoughts about this hotel and if Trip Advisor allowed 1/2 star ratings, I would probably give this one 3 1/2 stars rather than 4. The location is great, quick walk from the city center, yet nice and quiet. It is across the street from a park. To me, it was more enjoyable than being right in the middle of the crowds in the city center. The hotel is small and quaint, somewhat old fashioned. My main problem was the lady who checked us in. We were a party of 3 in 2 connecting rooms. The 3rd person was arriving later and the front desk lady kept asking for the 3rd person’s passport- which we did not have. She then handed us a map and said “walk here and do this, walk here and do that..” on and on. When I thanked her and explained we had been to Florence before, she circled something on her map and said “this is as far as you can go.” It was just strange. When we got to our rooms, we saw that the room that was supposed to have 2 beds had not yet been made into 2 beds. I called down and got this same lady who asked me a million questions on why I needed 2 beds. The rooms are fine. They are very old and have been updated but could use a little bit more of a luxurious feel. While clean, they are rather barebones. One of our rooms was always warm and one was freezing, no matter what we did. There is breakfast included every morning, yet the receptionist spent 10 minutes telling me how room service works. When I asked if room service was also included, she gave a snotty laugh. As I said, the hotel is old fashioned and therefore the rooms still have giant, brass keys. You need to leave the key with the front desk when you go out and pick it up upon return. Something I haven’t seen in 100 years, but ok. However, several times when we went to get our key, there was no one there to get it for us. And the last part- the rooms had no extra rolls of toilet paper! We had to call and ask for more! Never have I seen this happen. All and all, it stay was fine, but it was a bit pricy for what it was. As there are so many choices in Florence, I would probably not chose to stay here again.

- CatherineS713 (10/5): Welcoming and beautiful hotel - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Regency. Our room was spacious and overlooked the beautiful park opposite the hotel. The hotel is very well appointed and maintained. The staff are delightful and exceptionally helpful with requests for booking restaurants, galleries and transport. We loved the delicious breakfast each day before our daily walks to the city centre through the elegant neighbourhood. Highly recommended
- Neta960 (4/5): Very Disappointing - Upon arrival we were assigned an outdated noisy room which was the only room on the ground floor located near offices and storage rooms and facing the street with windows you can't really open since you are practically on the street. We were told this is an upgrade from the room we reserved and that it was a premium room (which was obviously not correct since non of the premium room according to the hotel website is facing the street). our polite requests to change the room were met with refusal. The room had an old bathroom which you don't expect at a 5 stars hotel and an outdated shower with only a showerhead and no hand shower. The other side of one of the walls is used for storage or parking (couldn't figure out the noise) and from time to time there was banging on the walls which made the whole experience even worse. From other reviews I see that other people got better rooms. So in sum I can say that booking a room in this hotel is like going to a casino. you might get lucky and get one on the refurbished rooms or get an old noisy room not worth your money.
- Neta (6/5): Disappointing - Good location in a quiet but central area. You can walk from there to most of the historical sites in the city. Valet parking was very convenient. The breakfast is good with excellent service although they charge extra for egg dishes which hotels of similar level offer free of charge. When we arrived at the hotel we did not get the room we booked but were told we got an upgrade. In practice we were sent to the only room in the hotel which is on the ground floor between the offices and the warehouse. The room was noisy, the windows could not be opened because they face the street and the shower was very outdated and only with a shower head and no hand shower. One wall of the room borders the warehouse or the parking lot and from time to time there was a banging on the wall which was very disturbing. Our request for another room was met with refusal and they even expected us to thank them for giving us a room with a large bed than we had booked. But we were not interested in such a bed but in a quiet room and certainly not to get the room that seems to be the worst in the hotel.

- WMFive (8/5): Refurbished rooms are nice - Charming hotel with wonderful staff but it depends on which room you are assigned . Insist on having one of the newly refurbished rooms otherwise you won’t have a great stay as the older rooms are really old and nowhere near justified by the price you are charged . This is exactly what happened to our friends during our stay . We stayed in junior suite 307 , loved the room , very spacious , really well appointed so is the bathroom which is huge and they have a bidet which is something you pray for in Europe . Service is excellent , housekeeping , turn down service etc as expected of such a hotel . A bit light on the towels though , we’re not used of having only one bath towel per person . Breakfast selection and quality is really good but they may charge extra for non-buffet items . They also have a wonderful patio/terrace , we made the most of it but they need to find a solution for the giant mosquitoes, not an easy task . 2 things i marked them down from a 5* in my review. Location is a bit far from the centre , around 20-25mins walk . Lack of iron and board in the room and this isn’t a question of saving money , when one pays several thousand € for a room they’re not after saving 100€ for pressing but it’s a matter of convenience. To be fair they did send us their steamer for half hour just for emergency as we didn’t have time to send our dinner clothes for pressing . We had a rental carwith us , they have a very convenient service for picking up and returning the car even at odd hours .

It is conveniently located near a park and while it is in a quieter neighborhood, it is still only a short walk to the Duomo and other main Florence attractions. All of the staff there are exceptional, friendly, patient and helpful. The rooms are elegant, well-maintained and exceptionally clean. The breakfast buffet is amazing, wonderful selection of delicious hot food, along with pastries and numerous other options - a great way to start your day in Florence!
