Heel comfortabel bed en vriendelijk personeel (via hologram/video) Onze kamer lag op de begane grond net naast de voordeur en de check-in. De checkin gebeurt via een hologram met speaker die vrij luid is. Dus ik de ochtend iedereen luid horen binnen komen en de check in van iedereen kunnen meevolgen. De badkamer ook vrij donker, na de douche is alles nat. Wat het niet de meest aangename badkamer is.

- Magali (5/5): Décevant - Jolie chambre à l’étage, spacieuse et bien équipée Décoration soignée Localisation pratique, proche de la gare Attention, ce n’est pas un Hotel, il n’y a aucun service sur place La réception est « virtuelle » Pas de petit déjeuner sur place Il n’y a pas d’ascenseur, les escaliers sont très raides, surtout quand vous avez une valise et un bébé… La chambre du rez-de-chaussée sentait le renfermé, les salles de bain ne sont pas très nettes. Nous avons été vraiment déçus parce que nous pensions arriver dans un hôtel quatre étoiles, nous sommes sentis « trompés » par rapport au produit vendu sur Booking ; cela manque vraiment de clarté entre la réalité et le descriptif. Si cela avait été clair que nous n’étions pas dans un hôtel, au prix de la chambre, nous aurions vraiment choisi autre chose. Je ne laisse jamais de mauvais commentaires, mais là vraiment nous nous sommes sentis désabusés.
- Jean (2/5): Emplacement idéal pour visiter la ville, chambre mansardée vétuste non indiquée dans la réservation - très bon emplacement lit confortable tapis au sol taché, salle de bain en mauvais état, l'éclairage d'une vielle armoire à pharmacie clignote, la baignoire a un vidage défectueux, l'arrivée d'eau est de débit et de chaleur inconstante, le store velux est cassé et la vitre très sale, la porte de la chambre ne ferme pas toujours facilement ce qui fait que nous avons donc trouvé notre chambre ouverte depuis un certain temps en rentrant le soir, certainement depuis le ménage. La réception par hologramme est bien fonctionnelle mais manque vraiment de chaleur.

Hologram reception.sewage smell in bathroom On the ground floor there are 4 rooms. ROOMS 1, 2 are off the main entrance hall which is where the hologram reception is also located. We had room 2. The noise from the guests in the corridor was outrageous, no respect for occupants of rooms. This noise was compounded by a very loud hologram reception when they spoke. In summary Id say if you stay here DO NOT accept Rooms on the ground floor - unless you are a really heavy sleeper. Also the bathroom had a constant sewage smell about it. I nite other girst staying at the hotel mention this too. It's not over-powering but interesting that that the room is supplied with a hand held air freshener spray!

- James (7/5): Great location and lovely place. A little bit of additional care and attention and it would be truly great - Great location. Lovely big room. Nice comfy bed. Easy and effective communication with the staff despite virtual connection. There were some maintenance issues in our room which were not fixed quickly, including a missing lightbulb and an unhooked curtain. The rooms were not well stocked re coffee pods and milk etc. and the additional supplies if needed were not easily available. In the closets. Given no in person reception it would have been great if the supply closets were set up and organised to be accessed by guests if needed. The pots in the cabinet by the front computer were empty of a number of items.

The room was decorated nicely & had everything we needed for a short stay. Our room was very nice inside, but lacked any windows (only 1 that didn’t open) that looked over the luggage storage. Our room was very noisy, as it was ground floor & we could hear everyone coming & going.

Det var till och med hår på väggarna… väldigt varm golvvärme i badrummet som inte gick att stänga av trots att rummet var varmt. Smala trappor som var svåra att bära upp väskorna i. Lyhört.

- nikita (5/5): Inform people the staircase is steep and give rooms to senior citizens on the ground floor. - I liked the location and the fact that it was a historic canal house I was given a room on the 2nd floor with steep stairs. I understand that they don't have an elevator. I am reasonable but they knew I was travelling with senior citizens, they could have at least given a room on floor 1 or the ground floor. I wasn't aware the steps would be so steep. They should have been a little sensible. We had a hard time.

- Maria (9/5): Excellent location - The location is excellent. This is a quiet street right on the edge of the original city, looking out over a canal that dead ends so there is no boat traffic. Other traffic is relatively light. It’s an easy walk to the central train station. Rooms are nice and big. Checking in and out was easy, and they have lockers to store luggage after checking out. The bathroom is not ventilated

- JOHN (4/5): just adequate if there is nowhere else to stay but way too overpriced for what it is. - The location was excellent The unmanned reception hologram worked very well and the service attendant Chris was extremely helpful in helping us with the situation of a) wrong booking dates, and b) the situation with our lost luggage. The entrance hallway carpets were oil stained and the hard floors were also stained. The room # 9 was on the level 3 and the only access was a tight spiral staircase - impossible to bring any medium size or bigger luggage to the room. Bathroom - old and in need of repairs

Nice big soaking tub, but no soap for the tub, (sink and shower only had soap dispensers, so that didn’t help). Didn’t like not have a real person to ask questions and recommendations. - Claire (2/5): Uncomfortable due to sewage smell which pervaded to the bedroom. - The view was pretty. The bed was very comfortable and clean. There was a dreadful smell of sewage that came up in the bathroom every night. It was very bad and we complained twice. But each morning it had built up over night. Also the television didn’t work the virtual receptionist told us to ring a mobile phone. They asked us to send photos of the screen that asked for PIN numbers and to set up. Then they said they didn’t know! So we had no T.V.

- ELIZABETH (6/5): No muy destacado por el precio… - Ubicación buena para una primera vez en Amsterdam, para pasear por lo típico de la ciudad a pie, queda cerca al barrio rojo. Su recepción holográfica es cool. La habitación 1 no podía usarse, por comentarios veo que es algo repetitivo, el olor a cañería es insoportable, solo me pudieron cambiar al segundo día. Escaleras super angostas, de ser posible solicitar planta baja, pero solo hay dos habitaciones y una disfuncional.

- a86804caea4873368d016598b6f36b0e (8/5): Fantastic location, staff helpful, big comfy beds! - Fantastic location right on the canal and two minutes walk from Central Station. Two Queen suze beds were exceptionally comfortable. Our room (no 5) was on the ground floor. We had a large window but this faced into the luggage locker room so you had no view out and the bedroom curtain had to be permanently closed to ensure privacy. One of the bedside reading lights did not work but it was fixed the next day. The heated towel rail in bathroom was clean at the top but very dirty at the bottom. I reported this but it was not cleaned. Poor selection of tea and the fridge didn’t work. As we spent the majority of our time out these were not major issues but they were disappointing nonetheless.

No towel rails or hooks No toilet roll holder Noise from the check-in reception throughout the night. For the price I would expect these things.

- a8e5a6ae874c70e29f9c3fa5ea4919f8 (10/5): Adams canal house - The location was ideal for visiting Amsterdam. The check-in was smooth and efficient, and the room was clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend anyone booking here, just remember, there are stairs and could be a challenge to some people. There are ground floor rooms, though. There is a nice touch of suitcase storage on the ground floor, which is simple to use and very handy for an afternoon flight home. The bar/restaurant 1 min walk away is worth visiting as well. - 39fa9a4ed8f8705fd8b782b3f125bb0b (8/5): - The location was perfect. Staff friendly and accommodating. SMART TV a plus. The water leaked outside the shower and there was not good drainage. The room was sizable, but there was not a lot of storage or anywhere to open suitcases. A luggage rack and more storage cabinets, dressers, etc. would be helpful. The virtual check in is a wonderful tool, however it's right in the hallway where many rooms are. If people use it early in the morning or late at night, it's loud. Room 3 is great, but is right next to the storage lockers and can also get a lot of foot traffic and noise. One day there were people picking up laundry and it was stacked in front of our door. We had to step over it to get into the room. Not sure anything can be done, but need to be aware.
