Guest Reviews
- ntahiti (4/5): Not a place to stay - Very noisy hotel going under renovation extremely bad location in the most noisy overcrowded district. The Internet connections dropping out and hard to reconnect again. The breakfast was terrible
- Nadia (10/5): - Super clean, but
- 972shadyr (10/5): A Hidden Gem in the Heart of Cairo! - I recently stayed at this 3-star hotel right across from the main train station in Cairo, and I was pleasantly surprised. The entire place has been completely renovated — from the lobby to the rooms — and everything feels fresh, modern, and comfortable.
The rooms are spotless and well-equipped, with comfy beds and great air conditioning — a must in Cairo. One of the best features was the high-speed Wi-Fi, which worked flawlessly throughout my stay — perfect for both work and streaming.
The staff were outstanding — always friendly, helpful, and willing to go above and beyond to make sure guests have a smooth and enjoyable experience. Whether I needed help with directions, a quick snack recommendation, or just a smile after a long day, they delivered.
For the price, location, and quality, this hotel is a real winner. If you’re looking for a clean, comfortable, and affordable stay in central Cairo, this is it. Highly recommended!
- Julissa (2/5): - worst stay i’ve ever had at a hotel and im not one to leave bad reviews. 1. showers were designed so terribly everything in the bathroom would get wet 2. water had to be manually turned on by staff in order to shower 3. fridge had a literal razor sharp corner my husband found out by cutting himself. 4. staff are unhelpful 5. wifi sucks 6. they won’t let you put wifi on the TV? 7. breakfast was terrible and premade, supposed to be from 6-11 and we went to get it around 8:30. we sat and ate what we could off of what they provided and watched a family of 4 get told there was no breakfast left?? at 8:30am? it was insane. 8. we ordered off the real menu (that costs money) a medium pepperoni pizza which listed having pepperoni, mozzarella, and marinara sauce. we were super hungry and waited 30 min for it to come with olives, peppers, and onions. i explained to them on the menu none of those things are listed and they were super annoyed with me. 9. THERE IS NO POOL!! half the reason we chose here was because it clearly says there is a pool? no pool there. none at all. 10. just overall an unpleasant stay. the only good thing is the blackout/ noise canceling windows. i would not stay again.
- shady (10/5): - The hotel is amazing. Very good price for the value. The food is delicious. Stuff is very professional rooms are very clean. It's my second time there definitely will come again.
Everyone was more than helpful.
Wi-Fi speed at the room was amazing.
When I requested a quiet room away from the street, they give me. It was very very quiet. I had pleasant sleep.
The hotel is newly renovated. The rooms is very well designed.
- 152maritd (10/5): Excellent - The staff and service was excellent, always working to give me the best experience possible in my stay there.
The food also excellent and they adapted the dishes to suit my needs. Also the neighborhood and atmosphere around the hotel was full of life and friendly people.
The pyramides and other sights were close by, and the train station near by makes it possible to access other places further away.
All in all I am very happy with my stay there, and will come back if I visit Egypt again.
- 976yasseri (2/5): Horrible experience - I would even rate it under 0 if there was an option for the poor customer service we received from the lady in reception cannot remember her name but she was with a hijab, after travelled long way from El gouna to Cairo and we were so tired and we need to get to our room she decided to give us a really hard time trying to give us a double room while we are 4 of us my self and my wife and two children age 11 and 9 with two tiny bed, asked for the manager his name was bolis tried to explain to us we don’t have triple room for an online booking, trying to solve the issue poorly with spending nearly an hour showing me very tiny smily room very hot as air conditioning are all very old and broken in 40 degrees then had to get a very tiny room at the end as we were so shuttered and needed any bed to have some rest
Real disaster and awful experience i would never come can again
- saleh (10/5): - جيد جدا
- Nazira (2/5): - Its a very awful experience.
My double bed was basically two single beds attached to each other. With one of them being broken. Mattress not comfortable and old. I could not sleep and can't wait to leave the next morning.
Pictures are deceiving pay a little more for somewhere else to have some comfort amd good sleep.
- saleh (10/5): - good
- Happyfamilyuk (2/5): Unsafe, dirty, still being built. - I was horrified by this hotel when I arrived with my wife from UK. The place is still being built. It's unsafe and very dirty. We booked it via Opodo. Which is a nightmare to deal with as its all Bot responce. Cockroachs in bedroom and bathroom. Smelly Duet and stained bedroom walls.
- Relax02631468737 (2/5): Egyptian nightmare - Opodo is recommending this building site
We stayed in room 907 woke in the morning open the door and picked our way through the brick rubble to access the restaurant
Moved to room 804 and did the same as before 3 days later we were moved to room 710 no brick rubble outside the door but we had to climb 4 flights of stairs avoiding the brick rubble to access the restaurant
The lifts work maybe for 2 hours a day then you must avoid the building materials and the builders
This was supposed to be a holiday instead it was a nightmare
OPODO you should hang your heads in shame
- Jet59197955936 (2/5): It's a scam - Dirty, noisy, very old/ broken and in the middle of a dirty and run down area. Pictures are a scam and not of the hotel. The staff are nice and helpful and their food is nice, but overall I do not recommend this hotel
- omarmN2233AZ (4/5): Disaster stay - The hotel area in the old city Ramsis very crowded places, the old very old, the view from windows not good, now private parking, need more important, the staff was very helpful and friendly, the aminits poor, the guest elevator old and the staff using for removing the garbage,
- Marisa (2/5): - No pool dirty area no pool and rude Cust service
- qiyu (8/5): - This hotel seems under renovation. the rooms I stayed is clean, quite exceeded my expectation as I saw the reviews before the trip. The service staff is friendly and helpful. The window is small which helped to reduce the noise in the street. The hardware in room still need sone repair, for example the brand new air conditioner leaks wheb it is on.
- saleh (10/5): - فريق العمل
- saleh (6/5): - النظافة غير جيدة
- DavidAsaad (10/5): Amazing stay great location - Clean hotel and very helpful stuff, specially the housekeeping stuff the rooms are very clean and the Wi-Fi speed is amazing the hotel as free coffee and tea in the rooms.
Also the bathrooms are very clean the restaurant has very good food and the reception is very helpful they helped me with everything I need

- W8025ITdeepaks (10/5): Very pleasant - Perfect choice, everything was clean, with good public access to the city center, very spacious rooms and very attentive staff, the hotel lacation near the metro, we spent a good time in the restaurant with a good man called Ashraf,
The reception was helpful specially Mr,George,

- redouane (6/5): - The hotel was ook but around it noise and not clear to gind it the gps say is there but you have to wake on the dark when its night time on the day there is souk and the road noise especially the windows are not isolate the sound sobits kind you sleeping bybthe road the view was good breakfast ook
- Rajat (8/5): - The hotel is good for budget traveler and walking distance to the railway station. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. George who is the Manager of the property. He even spent some of his personal time to accompany us to the train station to help us buy tickets to Luxor.
The staff were very friendly and helped us in any way they could.
We would definitely stay in the hotel next time.
- gringoburger (2/5): It's a filthy trap. The photos are all deceitful. - This hotel is NOT the one advertised. It is disgustingly dirty, broken down and in the middle of the ghetto. It's a total scam to be avoided at all costs. The pictures are all lies to con you. Believe a man who has been to over 50 countries and crawled through some horrible experiences, this place is unfit. Broken beds full of hair, bugs crawling around and all in a neighborhood full of homeless and street walkers. Needs to be removed from ALL booking sites.
- 274kandarpc (10/5): Perfect - The staff is really what has me coming back ❤️ specialy the reception they answered every question they are honest and they are for me like best friend , this location has a great set of people they are wonderful and so sweet and always working hard .
- aahwin (10/5): Perfect - The hotel people are very helpfull, The staff were amazing and made us feel life home. The room was specious and comfortable. The food was also good, over all it was perfect to stay in cairo, you should visit cairo for once
- kennypI6273NS (10/5): Good - The hotel people are very helpfull and speciall mr geourge, he help us in all the way he can, The staff were amazing and made us feel life home. The room was specious and comfortable. The food was also good
- Yolanda (10/5): Nice place - This place is under construction and was a little hard to find with GPS and Uber. I ended up meeting my rides at the corner of the street. This place was right across from Ramsis train station. The area is loud with car horns going off 24 hours a day. I slept with my TV on to drown out the sound of the horns. There are so many shops and stores in this area that whatever you need is easily obtained. The restaurant in the hotel is good and it's convenient. Breakfast was awesome everyday. The room was clean and I felt safe while staying here.
- Raphael Nhlanhla (6/5): Horrible - The hotel is completely different from what is in web pics. The property is a bit dingy with questionable surroundings. Breakfast is horrible and no where near what is shown in the pics. Whilst the property is near the main train station, access to the station is very difficult as there are no proper walk ways to the station and a cab is the safest way to reach the 600 metres distance to the station at a cost of $4.
- Meor Radzuan (10/5): Convenient & Practical PlaPublic Transports Lovers - Amazing place to stay where you are near to Ramsis Train Station and Al Shohadaa Metro Station to anywhere in Cairo Downtown.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - Old dusty smelly room. Had a spiderweb on one of the lights. I turned around went right to the front desk and checked out.
- kirom277 (10/5): Amazing Hotel in the Heart of Cairo - Very nice hotel , very friendly staff , reception, houskeepers, restaurant staff ,
The hotel is in the heart of cairo 1 minutes walking to the the main cairo railway station. Few minutes to the cairo museum, 1 minute to Metor station, you can easily reach any place you want to visit. the staff are very friendly, very professional reception, giving you all the information you need with smile, the room is renovated quite with Ac, Mini bar, LCD tv , Daily cleaning with fresh towels replanish, free mineral water, wifi is really amazing, it is available everywhere at the hotel with very speed and high quality signal, private wifi is available in each room, restaurant is located at last floor of the hotel with amazing view to Ramsis square, providing a very taste plates, all drinks are available even all kind of beer are available. You can easily order your meal while you are at the room .
All what you need as a business or tourist traveller you will find it here.
Thanks to every at Panorama Ramsis Hotel.
- SAAD (8/5): calm hotel in crowded area - good location, good staff, near from every thing
- Mustafa (6/5): - The staff were very helpful, but the hotel was under renovation, so the lobby was kind of messy. The building is being renovated as well so we had to take two seperate elevators to get to the room. For the price and location it was Worth it because the room itself was clean and staff were very helpful.
- Verified traveler (6/5): - The price was very good and the property is quite close to the Egyptian museum. It is very old though and the name of the hotel is confusing (Fontana is displayed at the entry). The staff was nice.
