No air con in March, per hotel staff, so we had to keep windows open while sleeping. Breakfast buffet was not good, so skip it unless its included in you stay. Surrounded by high end stores and minutes from St Marks square and restaurants. Waterbus stop right in front of hotel. Very convenient.

BUT the one thing that took away leaving a perfect review was the bed. It was so uncomfortable the bed springs were poking us through the sheets in some areas. It’s such a let down sleeping on a bad mattress. Me and my wife’s backs were killing us throughout our stay. It doesn’t appear we lucked out with the one room with bad bed. We found a bunch of reviews where people complained about the same thing. I highly would not recommend this place if you are looking to get some good sleep!

Hector (10/5): Best of Venice - After having stay at the Londra Palace on many occasions I found this gem that is perfectly located just couple of steps from St Mark square, very large and comfortable rooms with excellent service, if I had any recommendations it would be to have more choices on breakfast eggs. The restaurant was just so so and very expensive, including an $8 cover charge per person. A great buffet breakfast which should have been included with the very expensive room. They nickel and dime you to death. No worries, we would not return or recommend.

Think a really awkward time share presentation. You are dropped off at a glass shop and they were rude to the point of bullying. We ended up buying a few earrings and bracelets and they overcharged us for them. I don’t recommend the free bit to Murano at all! It was a horrible experience. Over all, loved Venice. The room was stunning. The location fabulous. Just don’t do the free boat!!!

Joe (10/5): - what a property! wow We only stayed 1 night.. during a 15 night euro trip. This hotel was 2nd best and tied with Park Hyatt Milan. Yes that good of service and location. Located within the high end stores and steps from the center square. Steps from the canal. Room decor was super unique old word but modern. Restroom was like a dream.. with great tub! 5 stars... we would stay again in a heart beat. No breakfast and restaurant on site is pricey and no kids options for food. But we would still give it 5 stars. Plenty of places to eat in Venice.

The location of the hotel is also very good, very close to San Marco, in the heart of nice shops…. The staff and service was also good. Next time we will again stay in hotel Monaco….

Because (8/5): - Stayed at the hotel as a solo traveller for one night. The hotel was very nice and clean. My room was spacious and tastefully decorated with all the necessities and mod cons. The bed was very comfy. Breakfast in form of a buffet was good and there was an a la carte option. The restaurant has a nice view overlooking the Grand Canal and Basilica Santa Maria della Salute. Hotels location is super convenient. It’s located 2min walk from Piazza St Marco and Palazzo Ducale. Hotels main entrance is almost straight across from the entrance to Harry’s bar and very close to St Marcos stop for water taxis & buses and gondolas.

The only downside was the bed, it was hard as rock, we were so sore the next day, neck, shoulders and hips. We enjoyed Venice so much that we decided to stay another night and thought maybe they could put a mattress topper on but they were fully booked but said to check back in later in the morning incase any rooms got cancelled. Came back later and they offered us a major upgrade at an amazing deal it ended up being the best room in the hotel. Better bed pillows and mattress. Also a note to our concierge young guy who gave us a recommendation to the restaurant Al Paradiso was the most amazing meal and we’ve had in Italy.

Verified traveler (10/5): - The hotel is in a very good location, few minutes walk to St. Mark's Square and gondola ride is available right in front of the hotel. The buffet breakfast was excellent and very satisfying. The rooms were sort of dated but very clean and room was cleaned every single day. I would stay here again if I ever go back to Venice.
Teresa (10/5): Great hotel in the tourist area - We had a room with a canal view which was very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The location was perfect, close to St. Marks Square if it is your first time there for sightseeing and the water taxi is right out the door....a very easy and efficient way to get around the island. The hotel has a very nice waterfront restaurant but since we did not eat there I can not offer any comments on the food.
Michelle (6/5): “Nice Hotel but Extremely Overpriced.” - This hotel is in a great location. It’s clean and the staff were very nice to us and our room was comfortable. But it’s extremely expensive for what it is. It’s nice, but nothing fantastic and for the very high price it doesn’t even include breakfast. I’d rate this hotel 3 out of 5.

(8/5): Perfect location for a Venetian Hotel - I’ve stayed in other Venice Hotels that were so far away from the boat dock that we got lost trying to find it after flying all the way from Los Angeles. The experience we had this trip was truly amazing. We stepped off our taxi and right into the lobby of the Hotel Monaco. The lobby and rooms are modern Venetian in design and have all the amenities. Harry’s Bar is next door, as well as St. Mark’s Square but the hotel is amazingly quiet. I will definitely stay there again!
Chad (10/5): - Great location for a quick visit to drop bags near water taxis. Dining in the terrace was fantastic. Mixed grill & a bottle of wine on the grand canal!

Elizabeth (6/5): Beautiful but issues - We did not get the room we thought we were going to have (canal view). THAT cost us double ! Everyone was rude. The included breakfast was terrible. The expensive room was beautiful and the location was great

Verified traveler (2/5): - This was a beautiful property in a great location. Our room was lovely, spacious and had a good view. Food was wonderful for breakfast buffet and Resturant. The facility is currently doing major construction (4/19) outside and the noise was unbearable. When staff was contacted they were not friendly (except for the concierge man - who was amazing)but he could not tell. He did send flowers and a huge fruit basket. I had to talk to Managment who was still not friendly and did not offer compensation. I had to call each morning and then afternoon when we got back to request that they be quiet. Disappointed
