From checking in with Andrea, who made sure we had everything we needed to the from desk ladies Ella & (sorry forgot the other lovely gal ) who made our stay so nice, as well as even helped plan out our daily day trips ! • Justin (6/5): - For the most part staff was good. There seems to be an issue with Americans. Some staff were nice but clearly some didn’t want to help or were annoyed. First time in Ireland so maybe this is normal. It wasn’t so bad that I wouldn’t go back. Food was great and a 15min walk to the dart(train) and a 30minute train ride to down town Dublin is great! Runs every 15min till 2330.

• Amanda (10/5): Beautiful Stay!!! - This is a very beautiful and clean hotel in a super nice area! Also has amazing restaurants on site and is walking distance to a park with amazing views! Our room was lovely and very comfortable.
• Mary (6/5): Badly in need of a renovation - the hotel is really run down, my bathroom reeked of mold, sheets were itchy, and the bathrooms off the main lobby were disgusting. On the good side, the food in the Dungeon was good and the in-room coffee was very good. And the proximity to great walks was unmatched. But the good doesn't outweigh the bad for me and I won's go back.

The village just twenty minutes walk from the hotel is stunning and the hiking in the area is easy and breathtaking. We will definitely be returning when our daughter arrives!

• Jason (10/5): - This was a fantastic place to stay for us while we explored Dublin. It’s a bit out of town which made it quiet but accessing it through public transit was easy enough. The village of Dalkey nearby was also great to explore. The staff were friendly and the amenities were great. Lots of food options at the hotel itself and pricing was reasonable and on par with other nearby options. We found this place more by accident rather than searching for it and were very happy with the outcome. Only downside was no AC but it also wasn’t needed given location and climate. Our 4 night stay was great and the room was huge with super comfy beds.

Had lunch in the lobby and this was great, you certainly wouldn't go hungry! Breakfast buffet was pretty good, only issue I had was that the eggs (Scrambled / Fried) were both well over cooked. Although to be fare that could just have been timing as it was the end of the both of those dishes, and they were getting ready to replenish them. I would certainly stay thier again.

• Paul (2/5): Charging bay disaster - The hotel is very good however I parked my electric car in one of the hotels charging bays overnight and I was charged 410€ for the privilege. This is not the hotel who charged me but the charger. I think the hotel needs to prominently display a warning about this. It sours my perception of the hotel.

It is close to Dublin but far enough way to feel away from the city. The charming little village of Dulkey is right up the road as is Killiney Hill- both highly recommended as well!

Breakfast was great served in a lovely environment and John the breakfast concierge was wonderful. He gave us excellent service and kept things running smoothly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. What could have been better was the service in the tea lounge. It was erratic and not attentive. We had to wait 30 minutes after ordering a scone and had to ask for it. Wait staff was running all over and no follow through. Food was served lukewarm. My husband ordered a 39 euro steak in the restaurant and it was served without any vegetables, just fries. We didn't eat there after that. We loved the hotel and enjoyed the hot tub and steam area. That area could have been cleaner. The slippery tiles were dangerous. Non slip tiles would be safer. We will be back as on the whole we loved our stay with you.

When we went to the restaurant we weren’t even offered water without having to ask for it. That part has room for improvement. Everything else about the hotel was pretty amazing.

Many various beatfull bars and restaurants and sitting areas . Our personal favourite is the dungeon bar restaurant. Everywhere very tastefully decorated . Sauna and steam rooms exceptional. Lovely outdoor areas for spring summertime. Staff very frienfly very helpful. Especially Oisin in the spa. Anna dungeons bar Caira receptionist and karl reception team i think also . A very professional exceptional team. Food 5 star and fast . Breafast one of the best in Ireland 🇮🇪. WE WILL BE BACK

Heat in the room was really good. Breakfast was basic. Not worth the price I think. But the waitstaff was very courteous and friendly

• Stephen Forrest (10/5): - Fitzpatrick Castle Hotel was a dream stay! For starters the parking lot is extremely big, and has ample space for parking. Then on to the interior which was beautifully decorated. The concierge was welcoming, friendly and informative. The hotel rooms were extremely spacious and clean, perfect for our family of four. The restaurant was high quality and high class. The pool was the perfect temperature and very big. We enjoyed everything about our stay!!! It definitely felt like home away from home. The little center of Dalkey, nearby, had everything you need, from a small grocery to some great restaurants. Try DeVille’s and the Coliemore, you won’t be disappointed. If I only had one negative comment, it was a bit of a drive from Dublin city center and due to speed bumps in the area you had to drive slower. We did a lot in Dublin, so make sure you leave with ample time to get there. I must say though, this can also be a positive for those looking to rest and relax. It was a very safe and quiet area. Would definitely recommend.

The tv has Netflix so you can log on with your account details. There is an excellent variety at breakfast. If you intend to use the pool you will need to wear a swimming cap. You must wear a swimming cap in a public pools including hotels. They do sell them at the hotel. I would highly recommend Fitzpatrick’s.
