- surrealus (8/5): Perfect location - We enjoyed a weekend stay at the Colonnade. The attendants at the front desk and hotel staff were friendly and helpful and seemed to genuinely want us to enjoy our stay. Valet parking was easy, and we didn't have to wait long for our car to be returned. The entrance of the hotel is a bit confusing, as it inhabits certain floors within a multi-use office building. Reception is found on the 2nd floor from the general building office elevator. What we found confusing is that the hotel elevators list reception as the ground floor. The hotel is very popular for events (specifically weddings) which take over the ground floor of the building. Thankfully, the noise from the weddings could not be heard in our room. The pool and hot tub were nice but had limited seating. Our room was attractive, large, clean, and comfortable, but had a slightly mildewy smell when you entered. The amenities included bar soap, moisturizer, and mounted on the shower wall: shampoo, conditioner, and body gel. It was hard to tell if these products were safe for color treated hair. The in-room safe and telephone were not functioning, We did not contact management about this. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment. On Sunday, you can order off a menu, but not on Monday. There were limited options on the buffet and not all at the right temperature. Also, they strangely did not have basic black (breakfast) tea. There are several restaurants attached to the hotel building. The best asset of this property is its location on the Miracle Mile.

- RWandfamily (8/5): Nice stylish hotel - Visited for a week on a business trip. Very central in Downtown Miami and situated in a nice and safe neighbourhood- with bars and restaurants close by. Good and easy check in - but the room I was allocated first was 206 and I might as well have slept in the lift shaft. I was right next to the lift and it was ridiculously noisy. I think they should only offer those rooms as a last resort and at a discounted price. To be fair, I talked to the front desk and they moved me the same day - and to a suite for my troubles. Rooms were both very nice - everything you need and very clean. Had an enjoyable stay and the staff were very helpful. Just watch out for the large parties, eg weddings at the weekends as you can feel you are gatecrashing someone else’s party!

But the remote control for the curtains did not work, the television remote did not work, and when they brought a new remote, the Netflix button still didn’t work. The mattress on the bed was very uncomfortable, and the outlet by the bed nearest the window was filthy. We won’t be staying here again.

Nos dieron las 4 juntas como pedimos: todas en la misma planta, 2 juntas al inicio del pasillo y otras dos comunicadas al final El resort fee incluia muchos extras: 25$ /habitacion y dia que podias gastar en el bar o el restaurante, champan y agua a cualquier hora del dia, 2h/dia de alquiler de bicicletas La piscina era pequeña pero tranquila y con jacuzzi Buen gimnasio y zona de juegos con billar y futbolin La ultima noche nos dejaron un plato con embutidos, mermelada, tostadas y futos secos en la habitacion El desayuno tenia pocas opciones y todos los dias era lo mismo, excepto que unos dias habia gofres y otros tortitas.

I must make a special mention about Humberto Martínez. He absolutely goes out of his way to please guests. Very charming, attentive and helpful person, an asset and example of excellent service. Very friendly, extremely gracious and helpful staff from check-in to housekeeping to dining and check out. Rooms are very clean and spacious and comfortable. Location is very central - on the miracle mile and easy walk to stores, restaurants, and the upscale Merick Park shops. The only area that seemed a little sparse and overlooked is the pool, which could use some upgrades like new chairs and more of them and a more enticing look overall. But since it’s likely not the draw of the hotel (which seems more to cater to the business crowd), it’s understandable why it’s somewhat overlooked. However, there was a nice option to order from QR codes to have food delivered in nice trays. Overall, impressive hotel and good value.

Located in a beautiful, atmospheric building with lots of charm, character and great location in the centre of Coral Gables. The rooms are very comfortable, the breakfast has good a la cart selections and the pool area is inviting. But what really sets this place apart and makes it extra special is the people who work there . From the general manager to the front office to the concierge, housekeeping and restaurant servers everywhere was absolutely outstanding. Shout out to Humberto, kind, warm, friendly, generous, a true gentleman. Nick and Michelle at the desk are always happy to help and Mora and Sheila at the restaurant with kind smiles and happy to provide great service. This is a hotel that we will definitely be happy to return to when in Coral Gables .
- Jessica (8/5): - Beautiful property in a great location The front desk at check-in was not easy. They first downgraded my room without informing me, and tried to give me room keys to a standard room when I paid for a king oasis room. The front desk staff said she had no idea what I was talking about and had to get the manager who was finally able to grant me the room I paid for. The staff then told me to insert my credit card for “incidentals only”. I later saw on my statement that they double charged my card for the entire room cost again. When I went back to the front desk to inform them that I had already paid the entire balance to Booking.com, they blamed Booking.com for the mistake. They told me they would fix the double charge, but 2 days later I still see it pending on my credit card statement. Not the stress free experience I would have expected.

Service was always prompt and cheerful. The hotel interior is beautifully appointed. The surrounding area is gorgeous, with numerous restaurants within walking distance, bookstores, coffee shops, and even a jazz club.

I recently had a Vow Renewal after 7 years of getting married there in 2018. Lourdes was exceptional, her communication was prompt and professional and made the experience of planning an event at the Colonnade a dream. Alvaro and Miguel were so helpful the day of the event and made themselves available for anything I needed. And I cannot forget Orlando, so so nice and helpful!

I am a long-time Titanium Bonvoy member and have never had issues until today. I booked a room on 11/27 for the end of December but unfortunately, I will not be able to make it down to Miami any longer due to news of a very ill family member. I called Marriott Bonvoy, and the kind gentleman called the hotel and spoke with a "manager" there who said they would still charge me a PENALTY - which is over $400 if I cancelled. Their cancellation deadline was 11/28 - THE NEXT DAY AFTER BOOKING IT. I have never heard of this, never had an issue. I've stayed at this hotel many times and will never return. I will ensure all my friends and family members are aware of how I was treated by way of social media. Greed never wins. Shame on you Hotel Colonnade.

Any request we had was welcomed with a smile, local expertise, and a warm, friendly conversation, contributing to a first class experience.
- Leonel (10/5): Excellence - Location was great since you are a walk away from great restaurants, bars and luxury shopping. Breakfast food served at the hotel was nice but please double check if breakfast is included in your reservation. Staff was super helpful and nice too, they helped me answer any doubt and also on some other things. They really went above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Very little to be honest. I think my greatest dislike is the fact that there is no hotel parking and you have to park on a 3rd party parking lot. Valet parking is available but it costs double than just parking it yourself and it gets pretty full when night time comes around.

It’s very care that a hotel steps up & shows - The hotel is immaculate, beautiful restoration which shines of character. I highly recommend this hotel, and I’ve traveled to so many. After a 12- hour flight ordeal, followed by a few kinks in our original hotel, Nick upgraded us with a one-night stay with most luxurious amenities, including a spiral stairwell that literally swept to a second floor level with it’s own bedroom and bath. The food was great and the ambience incomparable. I cannot wait to return to literally shake Nick’s hand. It’s very rare that you find a caring management team that does not miss a beat! 10 stars!!

It is an absolutely beautiful place to stay but beyond that the staff will stop at nothing to make sure you’re happy and satisfied. We have been going there for a few years now and each stay just gets better and better. The management, Stephanie and Rosita are amazing and the front desk staff… Orlando and Humberto are just the best human beings on the face of the earth! They are so kind and considerate and just want you to be happy during your stay. Many times we want to go back just to see them to be honest. You will not be disappointed in any regard… the hotel rooms are beautiful and the hotel itself is marvelous with highest ceilings, marble, etc. The Aragon Café for breakfast is amazing as well. Mora is the sweetest waitress we have yet to meet. Trust me, you will not be disappointed!! Enjoy this slice of heaven! Colleen McCullough

When I checked out of the hotel, I got distracted and left my carryon bag upstairs by the Front Desk. Humberto dashed downstairs to us while we were at the valet and brought my bag. I would definitely make reservations at the Hotel Colonnade again. Great service!

Mr. Humberto was so amazing and loyal to his passion of helping the guests feel happy! The manager Stephanie went above and beyond with not just upgrading my room but sending a bottle of champagne and treats. There was absolutely nothing wrong all weekend! The valet team is always so friendly and welcoming, and the hotel smells amazing the moment you walk in. (I even asked the front desk what the scent was!) Check-in is easy, the rooms are super clean and spacious, and the beds are incredibly comfortable with lots of pillow options. The pool area is beautiful and relaxing, and the location can’t be beat — great food and places to explore all around. Already excited to come back next year!

The location could not be more convenient, you can literally walk anywhere in Coral Gables, from great restaurants to shops and cafés. The rooms are beautiful, spotless, and very comfortable. The staff is wonderful, and I want to especially mention Nick Browning at reception as he was incredibly kind and helpful. Thanks to him, we decided to extend our stay, and he made the whole process so easy and pleasant. Everything about this hotel feels elegant and welcoming. We’ll definitely be coming back!

Our stay at the Hotel Colonnade was fantastic from start to finish. Michelle and Humberto truly went above and beyond to make us feel cared for. Michelle had a way of making us feel like old friends—she genuinely wanted to ensure we had the best possible experience. Humberto personally oversaw the delivery of an important package we were expecting, making sure everything was handled seamlessly and giving us complete peace of mind. That level of attention is rare and so appreciated. The hotel itself is full of character—rich with little nooks and hideaways that make spending time inside just as enjoyable as exploring outside. The rooftop pool was another highlight: a perfect spot to relax, take in the views, and enjoy the Miami vibe without leaving the property. On our first night, the hotel was hosting a live orchestra event, and it was absolutely magical—such a memorable way to begin our stay. The location is excellent, with plenty of shops, restaurants, and attractions within easy walking distance. We would both happily return here and recommend it to friends.

U M family weekend was great! My suggestion to the hotel is the breakfast area can be updated with more aesthetic furnishing that is conducive for dining in a rush society. The omelet station was a must
- Michael (1/5): Unprofessional staff, a subpar property, and a failure to honor the original reservation. - We reserved our room through Booking.com, but unfortunately, our experience with this hotel fell far below expectations from the moment we arrived. The front desk staff were visibly disengaged and unwelcoming. They seemed more focused on their phones than assisting guests, and the check-in process was abrupt, uninformative and completed in under a minute without any details about the property or amenities. We were assigned a room that lacked the features we had specifically booked and paid for, including a sofa bed. When I called the front desk to address the issue, the staff dismissed my concerns and insisted the room they had given us had a balcony even when it clearly did not. Rather than resolving the issue, they told us they couldn't accommodate our original booking. When I asked to speak with a manager, I was told there was no manager at the hotel on-site that day, which seemed highly unlikely for a hotel of this size. The following day, I contacted a manager who was courteous and did provide a modest credit and complimentary breakfast, which we appreciated. I was ready to just move on; however, at checkout we discovered that the daily $25 food and beverage credit that had been included in our rate was never applied, requiring yet another correction before we could leave. To top things off, after checkout I received an email from the General Manager encouraging me to complete a survey but with a request to send any negative feedback directly to her. This felt more like an attempt to suppress criticism than a genuine interest in guest experience. Our experience at this property was disappointing, characterized by horrible customer service, a lack of professionalism, and several avoidable issues that made our stay unnecessarily stressful. There are numerous other hotels in the area that offer superior accommodations, reliable customer service, and honor your reservation accurately. I do not plan to return and cannot recommend this property to others.
- laurengR2524UX (10/5): Go-to for UM visits - This is my third stay at Hotel Colonnade. The hotel is great and so are the staff. I especially look forward to seeing Humberto, the concierge, on each visit. He’s welcoming, kind, and helpful as far as sharing the best info about amenities and restaurants nearby. As an added perk for rainy season, there are many restaurants you can go to without having to go outside.
- Matthew (6/5): - This is a very old property and its age shows. It’s a solid 3 star hotel not 4. However even at 3 star hotels I haven’t had the same general comfort issues this hotel has. To start the humidity in our room approached 90%. That is well above the 50% average level. 60% is max. Fortunately the hotel has a small arsenal of dehumidifiers knowing this is an issue. I’m over 50 and I don’t think I’ve ever had to dehumidify a hotel room. I have emptied gallons upon gallons of water during my stay. The caulking in the bathroom is worn and in some cases mold is forming in the corners. The fixtures in many places are rusting -prob bc of the humidity. The couch in our suite reminds me of my college dorm room and the top cushions are contorted downward after years of heavy use. There is a nice terrace in our suite; however there is a 1/2 inch gap due to deteriorated weather stripping that allows outside air to easily enter the room. During heavy wind and thunderstorms the wind gusted through this gap. The gym is awesome with top of the line equipment. The concierge is very helpful.

From the moment I arrived, the staff (Kenroy) at the front desk were incredibly welcoming and helpful, making the check-in process seamless. My room was not only spotless but also beautifully designed, with a wonderfully comfortable bed and stunning city views. The hotel's amenities were top-notch; I particularly enjoyed the delicious and diverse breakfast. The convenient location made exploring the city a breeze, and the overall service from every staff member was attentive and genuinely courteous. Room was lovely and spacious and the building has great character. But the best bit was the staff: notably Andrea and Orlando on the front desk! These guys were so friendly and helpful and I had a great time just hanging out chatting with them. They couldn’t have done more to make mine and my colleague’s stay any more enjoyable or seamless.
