- Brian (7/5): Nice hotel but where is my deposit? - Liked the pool and bubble pool next to main pool, nice and warm, towels provided. Spacious room, clean... wifi good speed... good location to connect to main road for onward journey. The hotel has yet to pay back the deposit of $75 they took on arrival. I have raised the issue with hotel and Booking.com but answers appear to be generated via AI and the money has not been returned. Apart from above the hotel was good.

I left my phone in our room and could not return to retrieve it because we were set to sail out the day of check-out. I called the desk and a female officer gave me info on how to get it sent. However, I never received a response. So I called again, and not only did Officer Ricardo Quintero walk my phone to the location where they could ship it to me, he followed up to make sure I was getting responses from the location. His integrity and tenacity made all the difference in the world. Let me say that there is a difference in knowing your job, doing your job and going above and beyond your job. That's what he did for me and gave Hilton and great look from my vantage point
- catrecial (2/5): AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Not worthy of the Hilton brand. - This was the most horrible lodging experience, I've had in all my travels! As a Hilton Honors member, I hate that the Hilton name is on anyway associated with this establishment. Poor service, poor conditions (litter and debris in all of the common areas) and ridiculous service fees for severly subpar service. Dining on-site was a disaster. The first day we ordered appetizers and two lunch entrees. We waited more than 40 minutes for the entrees to arrive; we both ordered burgers without bacon and fries. Of course both burgers were delivered with bacon and we had to request that they be remade correctly. After the entries were delivered the second time we asked about our appetizer which had not been received. We were more than an hour in before the appetizer was delivered and it was not worth the wait. We received our bill and though there were only two diners there were two separate service fees, one for 18% and the other for 4%. The next day, I ordered a dinner to go (flatbread pizza and fries). After 45 minutes, I asked the manager for a status update on my order, when told that it would be out shortly, I canceled the order and requested a refund. They said the order was canceled and I would be refunded but their cash register system would not allow them to print a receipt so I was advised to take a picture of the register screen. Breakfast was expensive but barely edible. Containers were emptied but no replaced so our selections were limited. The only edible offering was the omelet cooked by Ms. Irma. Housekeeping was hit or miss. The housekeepers that serviced our floor did not speak English and communicated by thrusting phone screens in my face. They did not approach my room until mid afternoon (2:30, 3:00). On the second day, the phone screen advised that the housekeeper could not clean the room because a man was present in the room. There wasn't. I called the front desk to advise of the problem and that my husband was attending business sessions related to the conference we were in town for and had been out of the room 8:45 AM. They did send the housekeeper back to clean the room after my call. Horrible experience overall. NEVER AGAIN!

- Flyer704055 (2/5): Unacceptable Experience – From a Fellow Hospitality Professional - I am extremely frustrated and deeply disappointed with my experience. I arrived at Miami International Airport at approximately 12:40 PM and initially waited at Level 2 (Departures), between Doors 5–30, for the hotel shuttle. After confirming with an airport employee, I was directed to the Ground Level at Door 3, Bus Zone 3, where I waited for over an hour and a half. Unfortunately, no shuttle ever arrived, which forced me to arrange my own transportation via Uber to your hotel. Upon arrival, the front desk showed no empathy. I was also incorrectly informed that lunch was being served until 4 PM, only to be turned away at the restaurant less than 5 minutes later because it was already closed. When I raised this concern, I was simply told to wait until dinner at 6:00 pm with no acknowledgement of the inconvenience caused or effort to assist or resolve the issue. This experience reflects a serious lack of coordination and communication among staff, as well as poor customer service. Additionally, when I asked for the name of the server, the front desk staff was unable to provide it, which further added to my concern about accountability. From a hospitality professional’s perspective, this level of service falls far below acceptable standards. Overall, this was a very disappointing and disheartening experience. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address these issues.

Not only does he have impressive knowledge of drinks and mixology, but he also knows how to make every guest feel welcome from the moment they arrive. He has a great energy, is attentive, quick, and always maintains a professional attitude even when it’s busy. His cocktails are perfectly balanced, and you can tell he genuinely cares about what he does. He’s definitely someone who elevates the entire experience. If you go, make sure to ask for him—you won’t regret it.

It's a trap. - DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport & Convention Center — 1/5 stars I rarely write negative reviews, but my experience here was bad enough to warrant a warning to other travelers. The room had visible black mold in the bathroom — a serious health concern that should be unacceptable at any hotel, let alone a Hilton property. The TV didn't work, and when I brought these issues to the staff's attention, I was met with complete indifference. No attempt was made to fix the problem or offer an alternative room. On top of the maintenance failures, basic amenities that most hotels provide at no charge — like lobby coffee — require an extra fee here. Breakfast is also fully paid, with no complimentary option. For the price of a Hilton stay, guests deserve functioning rooms, clean bathrooms, and staff who actually care about resolving issues. I received none of that. I won't be returning, and I'd encourage anyone considering this property to look elsewhere.

When we checked in I was pretty sure the front desk told us breakfast wasn't included but it was discounted. Common mens bathrooms outside the bar weren't automatically flushing . Pretty gross
- nataliakX9422HH (10/5): Hilda Rodriguez was the best. - We were delayed in Miami like 1/2 the world. Ha! With the government shutdown , TSA schedules and spring break. We found ourselves canceled and at this hotel. Tired, cranky and hungry. Hilda was a breath of fresh air. She responded immediately when I reported the room was cold and heater not operating. Maintenance came and was super pleasant but unable to fix the problem so she offered blankets and breakfast vouchers because we were unable to move rooms. (Hotel completely sold out). We were okay with that fix MAINLY due to Hilda and her professionalism, personality and genuine concern for us and our experience. Thank you. ....And shout out to the William and Angelica in the bar... also engaged and provided great customer service.

The hotel also has a miniature mall attached. They are about 15 yaway from a TJ Maxx, Ross, and Publix plaza within a dollar tree by Uber. I enjoyed my stay here, I hope if you choose double tree you enjoy yours They have amazing cookies at check in 🍪 🍪.

This is my fourth visit in less than a year, and every time she delivers the same outstanding hospitality. She’s professional, efficient, and always greets guests with a beautiful smile that makes you feel welcome right away. Service like hers truly stands out. Because of Angelica, I’ll gladly keep returning and highly recommend this hotel to others.

- par845 (2/5): DO NOT BOOK - Wildly unpleasant experience for 1 night on 2/6/26 in room 1032 and the customer service saga that followed. The temp remained at 75-76 but continued blowing cold air all night, even after a late night maintenance visit. The bathtub had a constant loud leak, and the main light switch was loose. The room was dirty upon arrival and the iron discharged black specks. After my initial call regarding hallway noise and a/c, the front desk stopped answering the phone entirely (I attempted several times from the room phone). I was forced to resort to the Hilton App chat but no one responded. Security was supposedly notified of the hallway noise, yet it persisted. The day I checked out I later called from the airport to formally complain and was offered 15k points (which is not the equivalent of the $300+ I paid for one night). Staff gave me the manager’s email but he did not respond. I tried calling to f/u and haven’t been able to get in touch with him. So I escalated my complaint to corporate requesting a full refund. I’ve had multiple phone calls with corporate falsely promising me that I would hear back within 48h re the outcome. I was offered a $200 check in the mail by the first 2 people I spoke with, but the 3rd person I spoke with only offered me $75 or 15k miles. I declined all offers and am going to continue to try to get my full refund. Horrible customer service.

- Moisan (1/5): I didn’t even check in and got charged for a night’s stay. - The hotel had a system failure when we went to check in. We and numerous others literally stood in line at least 1 1/2 hours. The hotel had no back up plan for this situation. The hotel manager announced at that point that the system failure was with all Hilton locations and he had no idea when he could begin to check people in. My cousin and I had to awaken at 4:30 am the next morning to return the rental car and catch our flights, so we located alternate accommodations. I informed the front desk of this. However, we were still charged for one night’s stay. The hotel manager could have had a backup plan for system failures in place. It was my cousin who suggested to me and I relayed to the front desk worker that the hotel guests could give their name and phone numbers to be called when they could check in. That way people could get a meal and/or go to the bar while they wait instead of actually stand in a line for an hour and a half. About 20-30 minutes after I relayed my cousin’s suggestion did the hotel do just that. The manager’s initial resolution was to pass out free 1/2 glasses of champagne, after acting on our suggestion he then offered 20% off of the buffet meal. He was not prepared.

What made it so bad is waiting at the airport for a shuttle and not knowing if the shuttle will ever arrive. It says it arrives every 30 minutes that is not accurate. We waited 45 minutes. We called the front desk at least a dozen times. The general manager unplugged, their phones which we checked once we finally arrived. We ended up just getting an Uber because there was no way to know if the shuttle bus had crashed or if it was ever going to come. I the shuttle arrived at the hotel 5 five minutes after we got the Uber. If the general manager hadn’t disconnected the phones, we could’ve known that the shuttle bus was still in operation. American Airlines booked this hotel, but obviously I wish I could’ve booked something different.

He is an absolute professional. His service has been excellent. He is the reason I keep coming back every night. This gentleman definitely deserves some recognition. Thank you sir for your hard work and dedication. You are a true professional at your craft. I will be back next week. I will be dining here with him every single night. I highly recommend this gentleman’s service.

The hotel is like 15 minutes from the airport with free shuttle every 30 mins. It’s a good hotel if you need a room for a night. Clean , good food.
- derrickcabico (2/5): Safety hazard & lack of accountability - I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience at the DoubleTree by Hilton Miami Airport & Convention Center was deeply concerning from both a safety and service standpoint. We arrived around midnight after a full day of travel and had already completed pre-check-in through the Hilton Honors app. Despite this, we were told our reserved king room was unavailable and that their systems were down. We were advised the delay would be 15–20 minutes, but we ultimately waited nearly an hour in the lobby late at night before finally being assigned a room around 1:00 a.m. Upon entering the room, we immediately discovered a serious safety issue: the bathroom floor was covered in standing water originating from the shower. Because of this, my partner slipped in the bathroom. Thankfully she was not severely injured, but this should never happen in a room that is supposedly ready for guests. The room itself was also noticeably dusty and unclean. The following morning, I experienced significant chest and lung congestion, and my partner developed visible skin rashes, which we documented. We were forced to purchase medication and deal with the physical discomfort and disruption to our travel plans as a result. I contacted Hilton directly to report the incident. While they initially offered 20,000 Hilton Honors points (approximately $100 in value), this did not come close to addressing the seriousness of a safety hazard, health concerns, and the overall experience. After requesting further escalation and providing detailed documentation, Hilton stopped responding entirely despite multiple follow-up attempts. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, this experience fell far below the standards I’ve come to expect from the brand. The combination of: • Failure to honor a reserved room • Excessive late-night delays • A documented safety hazard that resulted in a fall • Health issues following the stay • And lack of proper follow-up or resolution is unacceptable for any hotel, especially one operating under the Hilton name. What was most disappointing was not just the incident itself, but the lack of accountability afterward. Guest safety and health should never be treated as minor inconveniences. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this property.

I expected to find a worker eager to leave. I was pleasantly surprised when I was created with a smile and chill vibe. It was much appreciated!

They didn't give me cookies or my gold member benefits. Young ladies at the front desk didn't know what's going on. They had me waiting by the business center for maintenance for 30 minutes and no one ever showed up. Then she says, "oh they aren't coming!" Oh and my toilet won't flush. Drapes are dirty. Dust on vents had my allergies acting up. Horrible hotel and staff.

- Freedom596970 (6/5): A review saved by hospitality - Lilian, Cielo and Daysi saved this from being a one star review. They provided phenomenal hospitality and service. Poached egg on my avocado toast was prepared perfectly too, really enjoyed breakfast. I hadn’t felt well for two days prior so it was just the right touch to get me back straight. Now why three stars? It’s the facility, the rooms are tired and dated smell, musty and moldy. My first room had an air conditioner that didn’t work. When I showed up, it was already off and so I turned it on and as I mentioned, I wasn’t feeling well, so I went straight to bed. Woke up a couple hours later. It was still as hot as when I first turned it on so I had to move rooms in the middle of the night. My calls down to the front desk went unanswered three times in a row; last time phone left off the hook so I couldn’t call back. Packed all my stuff went downstairs was reassigned a room that was the musty damp smelling one. But it did have a functioning air conditioner. Everywhere you look in the facility wallpaper is bubbling and peeling. If I happen to stay here again, it will solely be because the food was phenomenal and the service in the restaurant was great.

- sisu3333 (2/5): Bad Customer Service & Cancellation Policy! - We had booked 2 nights (Fri & Sat) as we were arriving from an international flight in Sat at 6am. We arrived to learn that our entire booking had been CANCELLED, leaving us scramble find a hotel when everything was booked due to a marathon in town. Then we get home and found that Hilton charged us for the first night- that they cancelled, and would not refund us. NO WHERE in their policy does it say that you must check in by a certain time. As a long-time Hilton Honors member, it never occurred to me that if I booked thru the app I could be cancelled. In hindsight, I could have checked in from afar, while I was still in a foreign country, but thought it wasn’t necessary, as I trusted Hilton to hold my reservation. The fact that BOTH nights were cancelled, and the hotel was then “sold out”, made this extremely aggravating to me. Hilton “double dipped” and rebooked my room, and then charged me as well. Franchisee’s don’t care if they damage a customer’s long-standing relationship with Hilton.

- Curious24814013940 (2/5): Save your money - The amount of money a room costs here you’d expect the rooms to be updated but instead they & the elevators reek of failed ‘90’s dreams. The heat in our room didn’t work. It was in the 50’s with temps dropping. Maintenance did come and flip a switch but when I tried to turn the heat down it didn’t seem to work. The room was large but the accessories were poorly refurbished and outdated. The carpet looked dirty. The shower leaked all over the floor & the sink backed up. There were no extra sheets or blankets in the room even though it had a pullout couch. I rang the front desk with my cell phone because the room phone didn’t work. They didn’t answer multiple times. I left a voicemail & never received the blankets I requested. My husband requested late checkout and they said ok but then turned the room card off at noon & gave me a hard time to get back in the room. The best part of the place is the food. The bar staff acted like they didn’t want ti be there. They did a terrible job of checking in with ppl seated at the bar. I would have ate/drank more but not with poor service. I’ll stay elsewhere next time I’m in MIA

Just Beware…. 18% gratuity is automatically included on every bill. Staff is not forthcoming . I had to ask for the itemized bill and noticed that there was an item on the bill we didn’t receive. I asked for it to be removed and I was asked to just take a discount on tomorrow’s tab. Not appropriate, but eventually made correct. Seriously understaffed for the amount of people that needed to be served. Felt bad for them as they looked very overwhelmed. But wouldn’t recommend

The food was absolutely delicious—everything tasted amazing. What truly made the night special was the service. Edwin and the other servers were outstanding: friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. They made us feel comfortable and well taken care of from start to finish. Highly recommended for great food and excellent service. We will definitely come back!

One personnel expected to serve / take care of a long line of customers. Personnel was calm in spite of the long line line of clients who were rightfully angry for the long wait. 3. Breakfast Monday morning 10/13 one personnel to take orders and receive payment. One personnel to clear tables and bring food to customers. Long walt about 1-2 hours check the video cameras for confirmation. One customer volunteered and helped to serve other customers. Not fait to the workers and customers receiving service in an understaffed environment.

No facilities so to speak of. Feels like a holding facility for interned cruise ship passengers in transit. Really down-at-heel. Coffee stains on carpets. Chipped furniture. Shoddy corridors. Loose bathroom fittings. Property needs a lot of investment. Has the look and feel of something from the 80s/ early 90s. $38 dollars for a beer, burger and meagre portion of fries. Totally overpriced.
