• Suhaila (8/5): - Clean, basic hotel, convenient location with helpful reception staff and average breakfast. Other staff didnt speak English & we didn't speak Turkish. They gave advice on getting about, organised fresh towels when housekeeping forgot to provide them, etc. However, due to our early departure, we asked the kitchen staff to pack something for us for breakfast. We were told they would provide something and confirmed that the night before. But then let us down at the last minute. When we had no other alternative, had already paid for each breakfast during our stay and my Mum is diabetic. Unfortunately this ruined our stay in the end.
• Georgia (8/5): Great location in the heart of Fatih! - Lovely stay right in the heart of Fatih, really close to all of the main sights. The rooms were great, really clean and very comfortable bed. The staff at the front desk were very helpful and welcoming as well. The road was a bit noisy at night because there are restaurants nearby, but not much to be done about this :)

Kahvaltı idare edecek yapıda aç kalmadık çok şükür ancak 1 gün önceden kalan yumurtayı da dahil ediyorlardı dolapta beklemiş siyahlaşmış. aman aman bir şey beklemeyin. yatmadan yatmaya düşünülebilir ufak bir otel.

• Arjan (1/5): Bad personel and terrible room - Nothing The room was in baisment near the toilet dhe the kitchen .. there was a bad small of toilet and the noizy kitchen and restaurant that other people eating breakfast … and we didnt book that room .. the bed was not for couple and was to old and smelly when i ask the boy i reception for the other room he answerd to me very badly for us wasnt this the first time that come in this hotel but this time didnt satisfay .. i didnt recomend this hotel and never come back
• Ulla (10/5): Exceptional - The location was superb. Close to the tram T1 and walking distance to the main sights in Fatih. Lots of restaurants around. The room was good, bed comfortable and the shower was big. Aircon was working well. Breakfast was good. Staff was very helpful. Would stay here again. Nothing to complain about.

• Cristina (4/5): Not the best experience - The location is very good, close to the very touristy places and to local transportation. I booked the room in the basement. I knew the room didn't have windows; that wasn't the problem. The problem was that it was A LOT of noise. It was not easy to sleep. The noise comes from the pipes, the restaurant above and the people outside the room, who, for some reason, were speaking quite often outside the door. I do not recommend booking that room; choose a different one, although I don't know what the other rooms are like.

• Mubarak (5/5): Did the job but could have been nicer! - Friendly staff. Great location - short walk to all attractions. 2 showers in the basement. Washing/ laundry service was 600TL per 1kg. There was a shop down the road who clearly serviced the Hotels. For the same price they did 2.5kg. The basement room smelled. There was mold on the wall with peeling wallpaper. Costly neighbouring food spots. Soap was missing. No water was provided, so I had to ensure water was purchased in the evening.

• Evangelos (8/5): Cute small hotel in the city centre with a nice breakfast - It’s well-located just south of the Sultanahmet area’s main street, one which the tram runs. It’s close to all the major tourist spots in the area (bazaar, Hagia Sofia, Blue Mosque), and close to plenty of restaurants, bars and grocery stores. The morning breakfast is quite good and there’s a mini fridge and water kettle with instant coffee provided. It’s a busy street, but not right on top of a busy business on the main floor. You can hear noise from the street if you don’t wear earplugs, so just wear earplugs. The beds are horrendous. I was able to take a comforter off the adjacent bed (my room had 2 beds) and use it across my mattress and use it as a cushion, but I shouldn’t have to do that. The hotel needs to replace the old spring mattresses immediately.

• Tauseef (3/5): Poor - Avoid the basement rooms even if you are getting them for free. We booked 3 rooms for 5 nights, 1 of which turned out to be a basement room, that was dreadful, stinky (tobacco), and dark. There was no soap in the bathroom. Had to get one from the front desk. No safe deposit box in the basement rooms. Basement feels like a dungeon. The standard rooms on the upper levels are very tiny. Beds are firm and uncomfortable. The comforter provided in the double room is only wide enough for one person. The double bed is actually 2 twin beds put next to each other. Towels are worn-out rags. Electricity in the room turns on only while you are in the room (can't leave phone, etc. charging while away). Breakfast is truly terrible. The location is 6 to 7 minutes of uphill walk from the Grand Bazaar.

There was some annoying ambient noise — something like a big fan spinning all the time. Occasionally, an even louder and more irritating noise appeared, like a giant printer printing a dozen sheets. The double bed turned out to be two small beds with separate mattresses and a huge gap between them. The sink was clogged, so every time you took a shower, it caused a small flood in the bathroom. The receptionist asked me to leave a "10" rating, but sorry, I can't.

The level of customer service we received from Orhan, Erdogan and Ahmet was truly five-star. Every request was met with promptness and professionalism, and their attention to detail was impeccable. They were always ready to assist us with any questions with a friendly attitude, making us feel right at home. Their local knowledge and willingness and organising a tour of the city help made our trip even more enjoyable. The hotel's rooms were clean, and the breakfast was very good with a nice selection. The location was perfectly situated with its close proximity to the Grand Bazaar and the Blue Mosque with easy access to all the major attractions. Overall, our stay in Istanbul was nothing short of perfect. The combination of the city's rich history, vibrant culture, and the outstanding hospitality we received made this trip unforgettable. I highly recommend visiting Istanbul and staying at this wonderful hotel. You won't be disappointed!

• Traveldiller (4/5): Disappointing - Good location, decent breakfast, bed is hard enough good for sleeping The fridge was broken , hangers and toilet paper holders were broken in the bathroom, we saw bare wires in the bathroom. The milk during the breakfast was served in the broken glass jar which is dangerous. Itself the room was broken and not renovated. The receptionist sold us a boat tour with a "unique experience" which was just a tourist trap and party for those who wanted to eat food and be drunk with naked ladies. So , I would not recommend any tour from them. Also the receptionist asked why we didn't speak Russian with them, since we were speaking English all the time. As Ukrainians we explained why we prefer English, but the receptionist laughed at our explanation and continued taking in Russian, which is strange and disrespectful behavior. .

Throughout our entire stay Regaip and the rest of the staff were very attentive and we felt very well taken cared of. I would stay at the HHK Hotel Downtown again! That it were longer and perhaps more breakfast options (more scrambled eggs for breakfast) :)

Il a été très insistant, nous avons demandé un temps de réflexion et dès que nous rentrons à l'hôtel, il nous harcelait. La chambre est très petite, pas de place pour mettre une valise, rien pour accrocher les serviettes de toilette, pas de drap housse, le drap de dessous était toujours en boule le matin, nous dormons directement sur le matelas, la couette était trop petite, dimension 140 pour un lit en 140, de plus la housse de couette était trouée et notre chambre était situé sur la rue où un restaurant mettait de la musique forte jusqu'à des heures avancées de la nuit. De gros problèmes pour dormir. Le petit déjeuner est exécrable, le thé, le café et le choix en pain très limité , aucun complément pour ceux qui arrivent plus tard. Il nous a aussi fallu tous les matins demander un couteau. Le serveur allait en nettoyer un pour nous le remettre. Service médiocre.

• Michael (8/5): BEYOND EXPECTATIONS - Stayed in #404 - tight bathroom, lot of bed space (although cramped around bed), very clean, good shower, very good breakfast, very accommodating staff - went out of their way to make our stay very comfortable - would recommend a chair for sitting at the desk - they did provide one from the dining room during our stay.
