From the bellhops like Carlos, who grabbed my bags instantly and truly wanted to help. To the front desk staff who cared very much about making sure I had a great experience. Gabriel and Rachel wanted to help me get settled in, inform me of all the perks of the stay, and were there if I ever needed anything. THE POOL IS AMAZING. Calm, chill, and NOT BUSY. I think when I was there on the Thursday before MDW, there were like 7 people there. An attentive pool staff made sure I had drinks or towels. The gym is chill and nice. And the bellini's were delicious. The location is phenomenal. There's so much going on within 2-3 blocks of the hotel. It's really convenient. Oh, and I forgot to mention, my room was SPECTACULAR. I felt like a king. I love the balcony and all of the Mr. C branidng items. I love the nautical theme of the hotel. It was an elite experience. Highly recommend.

I will stay at Mr. C in the Grove from now on no matter where I’ll be working or visiting in the Miami area!! I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this property.

The staff greeted me with genuine warmth (not that forced hotel friendliness), and the welcome drink was such a nice touch after traveling. The room was super clean, beautifully styled, and honestly just felt peaceful. You can tell they care about the details — everything was polished but still comfortable. Anytime we needed something, the front desk was quick, helpful, and easy to deal with. It’s rare to stay somewhere that feels both upscale and relaxed at the same time, but Mr. C nailed it. If you’re heading to Miami and want somewhere that delivers across the board, this is it. I’ll definitely be back.

Not exactly 4 or 5 star quality. There are 3 managers, all of which are rude and arrogant. Terrible service. I will stay at a real 5 star hotel next time. Try the Mayfair hotel where they have actually good service, or four seasons.

- maged254 (6/5): Mixed Experience at Premium Price Point - We chose this hotel for an overnight birthday celebration in Miami, bringing our dog along. While the Coconut Grove location proved ideal and the staff consistently demonstrated friendliness and professionalism, the room itself fell short of expectations—particularly given the nearly $1,000 cost (including pet fee) for a single night. Room 410 felt surprisingly basic: compact layout with beds, TV, desk, and bathroom, but lacking standard amenities we’ve come to expect at this price tier. Notably absent were a coffee maker and traditional iron/ironing board (only a steamer provided). The bathroom, while clean and functional, featured only a shower. There was also loud music that kept us awake for a large part of the night from a nearby venue. Having stayed at numerous Fine Hotels & Resorts properties previously, we’ve experienced exceptional quality that justifies premium pricing. Unfortunately, this property didn’t meet that standard. I’d compare it to a solid four-star European hotel or approximately 3.5-star American equivalent—perfectly adequate, but not luxury-level. Recommendation: Request detailed room information and photos before booking to ensure it meets your expectations for the price point. When told if the experience, the front desk clerk gave me a card and assured me that the room would be much better and quieter should we visit again. Polite, but not particularly helpful since we do not plan on returning.

- shelleyb15 (10/5): Don’t think twice. This is a superb hotel. - We had an excellent 9 night stay at this hotel. The employees are superb and highly trained. The front desk, the housekeeping and Joseph at the pool bar really made our stay very enjoyable. Joseph couldn’t be more helpful, he knew our names and drinks and how we liked to be set up. He was interested in where we came from and couldn’t have done any more to make us feel welcome and appreciated. We had a lovely room with a bay view. It was quiet and clean and spacious. The robes and towels were super white and fluffy. Housekeeping did a great job and the turndown service came with Venchi chocolates and plenty of water. The roof top pool was busy over New Year but we had 2 beds and great service. The pool was heated which is appreciated at this time of the year. We loved the location as Coconut Grove had lots of restaurants and shops. We ate at the pool bar and Bellinis and they were good but expensive. WiFi was strong and I really couldn’t fault the hotel. I used the gym every other day and mostly had it to myself. The gym was small but well equipped and had water and towels. Whoever recruits and trains the people who work in the hotel is to be commended as they were efficient and polite and helpful and unlike most of Miami they didn’t constantly look for gratuities. They wanted to do a great job which is a refreshing change. Obviously we did tip but we didn’t feel pressurised like other hotels. There was no upselling either. We will most certainly return. Stayed here with my mother for 2 nights in November. Room was great with a lovely view over the bay from the balcony. Bed was large and comfortable. The breakfast was delicious with a picturesque setting on the roof terrace, and the roof-top pool was beautiful and a perfect temperature to swim in. We also had snacks at the bar on the ground floor which were delicious (so much so we had them every day). The staff were also all very friendly. I'll definitely come back. We also loved the beautiful interior design shop which is attached to the hotel.

We also had snacks at the bar on the ground floor which were delicious (so much so we had them every day). The staff were also all very friendly. I'll definitely come back. We also loved the beautiful interior design shop which is attached to the hotel. The hotel is perfect and sorted out the only issue with our visit, which was with the fire alarm going off in our room only at 3am in the morning as the battery was low and the engineer had to come in. They gave us a complimentary breakfast to apologise for the disruption to our sleep.

We were assigned a beautiful room with many thoughtful amenities within that made it feel like home. This hotel has great style and meticulous cleaning standards. All staff were eager to help when asked but discreet when assistance was not required. We would gladly stay again in the future.

This hotel does NOT have an employee who does not have smile all the time, ask you how your day was and ask you if you need anything. Everyone at the front desk is amazing but Roberto rocks!!! Houskeeeping is always on point and how can you forget the staff upstairs at Bellini and the food. We cant wait to come back to visit our daughter living there (she offered for us to stay with her but lets be honest the Chocolates at Mr. C are better 😂 )

- BJAJDA (10/5): Cool Boutique Style Property - I gave it a five because there were no deficiencies, but the travelers need to know this is a boutique hotel that lacked some of the amenities of larger properties, but the highlights are a rooftop pool looking out over the bay. Bellini’s is a top-tier restaurant where you can have breakfast in the morning and look out at the water as well as fine dining in the evening the gym is small, but highly functional and there is a cool Outdoor café patio area upon entry. The rooms are quite small, but well appointed.

- Maxwellk1000 (10/5): Excellent Boutique Hotel In Coconut Grove - I'm doing this review a little differently. Instead of waiting until the end of the trip, I’ll update it daily as I experience something noteworthy. Day 1 First impressions are very nice. It’s a cool little boutique hotel in a nice part of Coconut Grove. The lobby was slightly odd, as the first "counter" you see is a pastry counter. Just past it to the left is the front desk. The service is very friendly and attentive. The woman at the front desk was quick to check me in, with an upgrade (yay), and offered me water and a Bellini. I took both! The only issue was I had to fill out information on an iPad with details I thought they’d already have—address, phone number, email, etc. My room was on the first floor, which I thought was fine, but the view was a little low, as I realized when I went to the Bellini Restaurant on the top floor. Not terrible, but I’d definitely ask for a higher floor next time. The room itself is very nice—modern without being cold. It features a nice wood desk, dresser, and closets, an impressive minibar, and some snacks. There are also sunglasses and hats, which can be purchased. A neat touch I've never seen before. Even a foam roller in the closet shows great attention to detail. There is free and paid Wi-Fi; the free option seems fast enough for Zoom and everything else I need. I was hungry, so I went upstairs to the Bellini Restaurant. Like the front desk, the service was excellent. I had a chicken sandwich that was very tasty. It came with fries, which were great—actually, some of the best fries I’ve ever had. I had dinner in my room: a different chicken sandwich (name forgotten) with tomato and avocado. Very good. Tiramisu for dessert, which was very good as well. The service again was excellent. The fridge in the room is full of alcohol, so it’s hard to fit a water or other drink in there. This is the only negative I’ve experienced with the room so far. Day 2 Had lunch in-room today. Cheeseburger with fries. Very good, and, as usual, the service was excellent. A quick issue was resolved by the front desk. The service here really is impressive—everyone seems genuinely interested in helping you have a great time at the hotel. Found one small negative: the TV is not on a mount that swings. It would have been nice when sitting on the couch, but it’s not a major issue. Something else that was a little weird is that the Wi-Fi kicks you off after 24 hours and requires you to re-establish the connection. Not a big deal, but it’s something I’ve never experienced at other hotels. Just got a courtesy call from the front desk asking how my stay has been so far and if I need anything else. They also asked when I was checking out and if I needed any transportation. Very impressive service. Had dinner, which was the club sandwich and some beer. Great, like the last meal and service. Day 3 Check-out was quick. The way they had me view the receipt was quite nice: on a leather-bound pad of some kind. They asked a few questions about how much I enjoyed my stay, if I needed transportation, etc. I really enjoyed my time here and highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a nice place to stay in Coconut Grove.

I don’t think even a full-size bed we had to order an extra bed for one of my daughters to sleep on because the four of us would not fit in the bed and we’re thin people. I think it’s badly advertised.

The food is consistently delicious and the service is by far the best in the grove. Evian, Christian and Adolfo are always very attentive and extremely detailed oriented.

From the moment I arrived, someone was there to open my car door and help with my bags. Check-in was a breeze, and I was welcomed with a refreshing cold beverage. The front desk staff was incredibly polite and professional - honestly, even the way they handed back my credit card with both hands felt so thoughtful and warm. Now, the room... absolutely luxurious! The Jonathan Adler toiletries and the serene blue decor were perfect. The lights had dimmers, which made it so easy to unwind and read before bed. They also offer a lovely turndown service with water and chocolates - such a nice touch of luxury. The rooftop pool was fantastic with stunning views. My only real gripe was that the poolside service could’ve been more consistent, and I wish the breakfast menu had a bit more variety. But other than that, this place is a solid 5/5!!! :)

The location is perfect for a quiet getaway from the busy city and we loved that it is walkable to several shops and restaurants. The service was warm and personal, and the welcome Bellini was a great touch. Our room was amazing, the style and comfort were more than expected. The room is full of all the necessary amenities and more? The mini bar was well stocked with a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, it also included snacks and even Mr. C branded merchandise. The staff even provided us with a hand written thank you note which included complementary gourmet chocolates. The rooftop restaurant has beautiful views of the bay and our breakfast was delicious. Mr. C Coconut Grove is a must try hotel and now one of our favorites in Miami.

They really don't like that poor people even exist. if you are not part of the 1%, they want nothing to do with you. When I checked in they lied to me about an upgrade.
