- Sumanth (1/5): Terrible experience - We had a very disappointing experience at Rydges Sydney Central during our recent stay. The room phone was not working, and despite multiple requests, it took around 1.5 hours just to get a toothbrush delivered. We had to go down to reception several times before the phone issue was finally repaired. Because of all these delays and poor service, we even missed having breakfast. Almost every request took nearly an hour to be attended to, which made the entire stay extremely frustrating. We initially planned to extend our stay, but due to the overall poor experience, we decided to vacate instead. This stay started off very badly and affected our mood before attending an important conference meeting. We already reported these issues to the manager and were advised to check with Booking.com regarding a refund request. We sincerely request appropriate compensation or a partial refund for the inconvenience caused. Very disappointing experience overall. Additionally, the bathroom exhaust fan was not working properly, which caused a very bad smell to remain in the bathroom throughout our stay. There were also liquid leakage and cleanliness issues in the bathroom area, making the experience even more uncomfortable and unpleasant.

Great appliances to assist eg. ironing board, hair dryer, safe etc. The location so close to Central station was ideal. The bed was very comfortable. Had to call for a staff member to assist with the TV when it didn't start properly. A very friendly and helpful staff member came promptly and rebooted the TV.

First time staying on level 2 (have stayed other times on higher levels) and the traffic noise on level 2 was awful. Had an interrupted sleep due to the noise from the street.

- Ros (7/5): Stayed at this hotel around 20 years ago, when I think was the sebel hotel, gone down hill since the - Bed Breakfast was really nice wish we could have enjoyed it more as we had to catch an early train 7.10am. We were waiting o/s the door to restaurant to open, whilst staff were doing last minutes of preparation before opening the door. The room was a bit bleak but at least the bed was super comfortable after a 22chour flight from Waikiki. Needed just 4 tea bags ( English breakfast) took to long for staff in the guest services to bring up, 15 mins, consiage young lady working very efficient. Thank you.

Der Teppich im Zimmer war voller Flecken, das Sofa war schmutzig, die Badezimmertür rostig, und es gab keinen Dampfentzug- im Gegenteil wir wurden darauf hingewiesen das zu viel Dampf den Feueralarm auslöst. Es war ein Kühlschrank vorhanden, der war aber leer.

- Debcol25 (8/5): Great location - Short walk to Central station. Lounge in room. No soap at handbasin. Towels quite thin. Edge under handbasin needs cleaning. Sink into middle of bed (2 beds pushed together)

- Anne (8/5): A comfortable stay in a convenient location - Convenient for central station and a comfortable bed I was given a huge room. Far too big for one person! This meant I couldn’t watch TV from bed
- Tom (8/5): Good but could’ve been better - Location, breakfast buffet Pillows were awful for sleeping. Pool wasn’t very warm at all.

Good location, love that there was a pool and cinema. - Our door key didn’t work, we had to go back down stairs to fix it. - We had to ask for our spare bed to be made for our daughter. We left the room and came back and it was partly made. - We had to then ask for a pillow for our daughters bed (foldout lounge) they brought a pillow cover instead of a pillow, we then had to ask again for a pillow. There may have been a language barrier. - The fan in the bathroom didn’t work, 1 of the light was blown in the room, there was no bottle opener so I couldn’t open a beer in the mini fridge. We don’t expect perfection but it wasn’t smooth.

- Ladda (9/5): - - Location, Staffs, Room I was inforned the rule of no change bed sheet if not pay 10 $. I misunderstood that my room would not be cleaned. In fact, there was a normal cleaning practice.

- Samantha (5/5): Convenient location - The hotel is close to central station and within walking distance to a lot of different landmarks and sightseeing locations The common areas of the hotel were not overly clean. They advised that they had just changed the housekeeping company and requests for anything related to bedding or room refurbishment were slow at best, if they even completed the request at all.
