L’établissement ne propose aucun moyen de se restaurant le midi et le soir : pas d’équipements dans la chambre pour manger à deux ( table, chaises, couverts, assiettes ) et pas de restaurant dans l’établissement.. uniquement un petit déjeuner.. ( très cher ) , il y a un frigo et un micro-ondes c’est bien, nous avons manger sur le lit tout le séjour …

The iron in the room leaked and ironing board needs new cover. The shower head needs a good cleaning. The soap container in the bathroom leaked. The containers mounted on the shower wall need a good cleaning around the spouts. They had green grime on them. Just a little more attention to those details but all in all the hotel was great.

What made the stay exceptional was the manner in which the guests were greeted by Michael at the f - The individual that was running the front desk (Michael) was top notch. Very professional and made sure to inform each guest of various amenities as well as with the dining options at the hotel and in the surrounding area. I worked in customer service for over 30 years and have to say that the Hollywood Hotel is fortunate to have such a wonderful individual representing the company. It was a bit noisy, but that is to be expected in LA.

Pero sobretodo, la atención de la gerente es una muestra de manual de lo que NO SE DEBE ser en el mundo de la hospitalidad, PÉSIMA. Solicitamos hablar con ella porque llevabamos 4 dias en el hotel sin que hicieran el cuarto (algo por lo que pagamos un hotel en lugar de un airbnb) a lo que nos contesto que debimos haber quitado el NO DISTURB sign de la puerta a las 8am para que lo hicieran ya que sino el cuarto no lo hacen (no obstante que fuimos personalmente cada mañana a la recepción a pedir que lo hicieran, cuando nos dimos cuenta de lo que pasaba), fue cínica, irónica, burlona y sobretodo claramente ínutil no resolvió absolutamente nada, por el contrario, nos culpo a nosotros por poner el DO NOT DISTURB sign. Su falta de pericia, conocimiento del mundo de la hospitalidad y voluntad para manejar un hotel se ve proporcionalmente reflejada en la mediocridad y decadencia del hotel, una lastima por el resto del equipo que a pesar de ella hacen su mejor esfuerzo pero que deben navegar con una líder sin talento ni capacidad para realizar su trabajo. Un hotel que "podria ser", limitado por todo lo que un mal líder, no va siquiera a aspirar a ser algún día. Una pena.
Esperanza (5/5): I wish that there were more compassionate and understanding and compensating when things arise like that they also state - Once I was put in the correct room and realized the front of the hotel was in the back and it’s actually pretty nice looking. I seen that there was a lot of good qualities The first night I had a room that the outlets didn’t work the Internet didn’t work. I couldn’t watch the TV. We couldn’t charge anything. Our light kept flickering on and off. When I spoke to the front staff they told me they couldn’t do anything about it, but bring us extension cords in a fan while they did bring us the fan and the extension cord cords I felt like I was staying in an underpriced motel. I was told that I’d be placed in another room the next day, but it did take away from a whole day of us being able to watch TV or charge any of our electronics and we’re from out of state.

If you have the money, stay in a better lo - The rooms were clean, comfortable, and the hotel had all the amenities of a four star. The Metro was two blocks away which was very convenient to get to universal studios, Hollywood walk of fame, and downtown. The staff was very friendly and attentive which made our stay really pleasant. It’s an old hotel but you wouldn’t be able to tell from the rooms. The location was not family friendly but it’s LA not the Hotels fault. The area has lots of local foods and restaurants but don’t walk you will see things a 12 year old shouldn’t see until he/she is 21.

Chien (1/5): Avoid this hotel: Double charging and unprofessional staff! - STAY AWAY. I booked a 2-bed room for my nephew and his friend (both college students) through Booking.com and pre-paid in full. Their experience was a nightmare from the start. First, the front desk claimed they had NO RECORD of the fully paid booking, even after being shown all confirmation details. It was only after I personally called to intervene that the staff "suddenly" found the reservation. This was incredibly suspicious and stressful for the guests. Second, the hotel double-charged for parking. The morning shift took payment, and then a later staff member forced them to pay AGAIN, claiming there was "no record of payment"—even after the students showed the physical receipt of the first transaction! This feels like a blatant attempt to exploit young Asian students. It is unprofessional, dishonest, and predatory. Whether it was a massive internal failure or intentional discrimination, it is unacceptable. We have photos of both receipts and will be reporting this to Booking.com and local consumer protection if a refund is not issued immediately. Do not stay here if you value your money and fair treatment.

The pool wasn't heated but the pool area is a very nice spot to chill, eat, read, etc. I was here for a class and I would definitely stay here again if I came back for more classes.

chrisbR5559HX (2/5): You pay your money you take your pick - The problem with a hotel like this is - how can it be rated 5 and also 1 like this review? Well I suppose some reviews are subjective, for example if you like a pool then this hotel has one which gets good reviews but many travellers are tourists and want to see LA, using a hotel as a place to sleep. So, from our perspective the things that are important to us are - location and bedroom - and this is were the hotel fails somewhat. It can't do anything about where it is but by choice this is not a place to be if the neighbourhood is important to you. It claims to have city view rooms, that is stretching the imagination. There are many homeless people congregating nearby which sometimes feels threatening, particularly when they approach you; there is nothing nearby (walkable) worth visiting; the buildings opposite are derelict. This is an hispanic area and the shops and food outlets largely reflect the population - this in itself is only a problem if you are 'self catering'. A nearby supermarket sells Nescafe at just short of $20! The one upside is it is a short walking distance from the metro station. So in conlusion regarding location - it is in a 'seedy' area so go there with your eyes open and expectations low. The bedroom was in very poor condition - drab is a good description. Wallpaper pealing off the wall, bathdroom door chipped and shabby, over bath shower with curtain is grim by today's standards and there was hair on the bathroom floor. We did not feel safe at all, in fact my wife didn't sleep all night. We stayed 1 night, not 3 as booked. We were so disappointed we found another hotel (see my review for Nites Inn) and it speaks volumes that we were so unhappy we paid $300 to stay somewhere else! Take your pick - go to this hotel and beware or, as we did, find somewhere else.

I personally enjoyed the dry sauna as well as the friendly staff, notably Michael at the front desk who gave me tips on local cuisine and site-seeing. I look forward to staying here on my next visit!

jacktG4909TS (4/5): Hollywood Hotel is a DIVE - Stay at the Hotel Hollywood not the Hollywood Hotel, the value difference is extraordinary. I was really disappointed staying at the Hollywood Hotel. The guy at night with the beard at the front desk wasn't freindly and I even went up to ask a question and he told me he wasn't really busy before I even got up to the desk? This place is way over priced charging more than thre Blitmore Hotel that is 4 stars. I paid $300 per night here with total fees, it was rediculous as this place is worth about $200 per night or less. That's what I was charged at the HOTEL HOLLYWOOD, stay there and it's located in WEST HOLLYWOOD, not EAST HOLLYWOOD. Some of the things I did like. I liked the culture in the area and there is a street taco vendor on Vermont Ave that was fantastic, but it wasn't WEST HOLLYWOOD. My room wasn't that clean and needs painting. The railing outside the room on the deck, needs painting. There is no special reason to stay at the Hollywood Hotel and once the again based on the prices, it's really a rip off. Do you reserach and be sure not to get confused like I did, these people are imposters. This was the worse place I have ever stayed in LA or Hollywood, I will never come back.
jacobwZ9288IL (10/5): Hollywood hotel - My stay of the Hollywood hotel was wonderful, clean lines and a prompt check in process, Michael at the front desk was amazing at recommending great places to visit like a late night bar and a mini golf course he was gracious and promptly addressed our needs we will be remembering our stay next time we come to Hollywood agan.

309lorens (10/5): Galentines Weekend - Galentines Weekend in Los Angeles.💕 We had a great deal on a weekend stay at the very chic Hollywood Hotel. Nelson on reservations took care us from getting us a deal on a room to also best recommendations where to have dinner. Cozy room overlooking their fab lit up courtyard. Restful night💤. Next morning delish breakfast from avocado toast to lattes☕️! Even after check out lounging at the pool 🕶️. Very well recommended.

761kittyk (10/5): Best hotel, fabulous stay! - We just loved our stay at the Hollywood hotel, from the moment we arrived before our checkin time, we were welcomed & made to feel valued. I have to say from the initial check-in until we left, all the staff we met treated us so well, friendly, smiley very welcoming. We asked questions about local attractions & were given great advice, directions & pointed in the right direction, making our stay really easy & we used the Metro many times after our first trip out, thanks to good advice. Our room was beautiful, spotless clean & had lots of extras we appreciated, iron & board, bath robes, wine & champagne glasses, mugs, fridge, microwave, safe & many toiletries. The location was perfect & so close to the Metro. We enjoyed sitting by the outdoor pool area, which was very relaxing with lovely palm trees & shrubs. The breakfast room was spacious with friendly staff & speedy service, we used this each day of our stay. On our last day we found a little shop just before going out to the pool & the prices for snacks were great value, we wish we'd found it sooner, the man serving us was super friendly too. We would stay again without a second thought as I couldn't imagine another hotel beating this one on customer service, location & amazing staff, great job & we can't to stay again one day!
Andria (8/5): The staff was friendly and helpful. - The location was perfect for my trip. Very close to where my daughter works. The parking lot was large and the attendant was always quick to open the gate for me. My husband did not like the bed. It was too firm for him. I slept fine.
Trek10141529452 (10/5): Very nice - We arrived at 8am, check-in wasn’t until 3pm but we were found a fabulous room straight away on the ground floor - super spacious and very elegant. Staff on front desk were very helpful and friendly. Situated close to the sights of Hollywood (it’s so spread out that you have to Uber everywhere really) We had a 5am check out so we didn’t get to eat in the hotel but there was a little convenience shop inside and a couple of vending machines. The courtyard was beautiful it was a shame we weren’t staying more than one night. I would definitely stay there again.

Staff may be a bit minimal but they are exceptional- cleaning staff, the gift shop owner, and especially Michael at the front desk- Michael had tips and jokes for us every day and made our stay so fun. ✨

These are adjectives that I don’t typically use to describe what I was expecting. Needless to say, my first experience with Yajaira exceeded my expectations. We exchanged engaging conversations. It was a pleasant surprise to learn that she is an even more wholesome person with great perspectives and insights. Focusing on the booking, she reassured of concerns that I may have and what my expectations are as far amenities. She delivered expeditiously. If anyone is looking for a competent, kind, and compassionate person, please look into her experience of this venue.

It was very good value for money and the location was perfect for proximity to both east LA and Hollywood.
