- Mimi (8/5): Needs update and maintenance. - Aviod any rooms next to the elevators! I had to change room after the first night sleeping with earplugs. All the elevators are very old and they make tremendous noises all day and night. The rooms are spacious but tired and quite beaten through out. The staff is generally helpful and friendly. A concierge, I think his name was Martin, he dishonesty lied about the value of the 10,000 pesos note when I wanted to tip him for calling a taxi for me. He told me 10,000 pesos was equal to USD$4, so I gave him the note. I since found out it was worth nearly USD$8. The location of this hotel is not in a good area, particularly not for walking as night. Most flights from Europe are arriving Buenos Aires around 6am. Unfortunately, this hotel does not allow checking in until 4pm! There were comfortable chairs to sit and wait, but 4pm check-in after long tiring flights is definitely not a "customer friendly" policy. Although the hotel offered to safekeep the luggage if people want to go out, but people are mostly tired and by not being able to freshened up, they end up wasting practically all day waiting for the magical 4 pm check-in time. (The checkout time is 12 noon.)

Staff is great, restaurant is good, breakfast is excellent. Has very good gym and indoor pool. Only downside on our part is that mattresses were on the hard side and pillows too large/tall. Overall would definitely return.
- Jeffrey (10/5): - What a beautiful property! The lobby was very rich in style! The staff was very kind and thoughtful, willing to help in any way possible. The rooms are nicely appointed, and the beds are extremely comfortable! While I didn't use the gym or the pool, both looked in credible! I would highly recommend this property to anyone, especially because there is so much around this hotel as far as food and drink, all in walking distance!

- Carlos Andres (8/5): - Ofrece una experiencia de gran nivel: el personal es excepcional, siempre atento y cordial, y las instalaciones están impecables, con habitaciones cómodas y elegantes. Como punto a mejorar, la piscina es compartida con un club deportivo, algo que no se informa al reservar. Además, una cuerda separa un carril y limita su uso, incluso en horarios pico, cuando debería estar disponible. Dato curioso: es el hotel de concentración de un importante equipo de fútbol argentino. Puede ser un plus si te interesa ver a los jugadores, aunque implica restricciones de acceso a algunas areas por seguridad privada. Fuera de eso, sigue siendo una excelente opción en Buenos Aires.

- Dzmitry (6/5): Disappointing Experience in a Supposedly 5-Star Hotel - Cons: - Breakfast confusion & poor quality: Unless you’re fluent in Spanish or know some kind of secret password, don’t expect to get items like avocado or salmon — they’re invisible on the menu but magically appear for the locals. The overall breakfast selection is closer to a 3-star motel than a 5-star hotel. Sausages are barely edible, there’s no ketchup or mustard, and coffee is served inconsistently — if you’re lucky. Some pastries are decent, though, so sugar-lovers might survive. - Room conditions & noise: Sound insulation is almost nonexistent. You’ll hear doors slamming from ten rooms away and your neighbors doing their daily Duolingo exercises. Street noise is constant, and the air conditioning unit sounds like a jet engine. Sleep is mission-impossible without earplugs. - Old-fashioned & worn out: The decor feels stuck in the early 2000s — yellowed plastic fixtures, faded surfaces, and a shower that has seen better (and probably cleaner) decades. Opening the window is an engineering challenge — one latch might open, the other won’t budge. - Unreliable housekeeping communication: Unless you speak Spanish, be ready for some comical misunderstandings. Asking the cleaner to come back later results in a puzzled call from reception moments later. And prepare for the loudest phone and doorbell rings of your life. Seriously, disable them if you can. - Empty minibar & poor amenities restocking: The minibar is mysteriously empty, yet you’re charged a security deposit equal to 1.5x your room rate. Only two bottles of water are provided at check-in with no refills. Same with the toiletries — four mini-bottles for a multi-day stay, no replacements unless you beg (and maybe pay). - Location – mixed bag: Yes, you’re near government buildings like the presidential residence, so there’s lots of police presence and fewer homeless people. But all the good restaurants and nightlife spots are far away. You’re in the center, but not the fun part.

Tradional decor, beautifull lighting, and comfortable lobby and room furnishings made our stay special. We enjoyed the Cafe des Luces for an Argentine lunch, and abundant breakfasts in the Meditteraneo dining room.
