Guest Reviews
- Adora (10/5): - The hotel was just best. The location is perfect it is so easy to get to everywhere in Paris from there. The cleanliness was 10 out of 10. The room was amazing and extremely comfotable. I would say this hotel was more 5 star. I love hot chocolate and the one from the machine is just perfect not too sweet not to thick. From the friendly staff to free snacks there is nothing I can fault. Also if you are worried about noise there was absolutely no noise coming from the station so great sound proofing. I can say so much more good things but I will be here for hours. Thank you so much for an amazing stay we loved it!
- Frank (10/5): - Helpful staff, unbeatable location if you have an early train from Gare de l’est or Gare du Nord. Rooms are a bit tight but nicely laid out.
- Celia (10/5): - Great location and great amenities. The communal area is a plus.
- Gary (8/5): - Generally good stay
- Tiarne (4/5): -
- Xiang (10/5): - Loved the Happy Hour snacks and if one wants, can also order simple dishes 😎
- Rebecca (8/5): - The staff are excellent, always polite and helpful. The room was comfortable but be warned, photos are very misleading - the bathroom is NOT separate to your room, and the shower bizarrely opens directly into the room!
The hotel was always very clean. It is a short walk from both Gare de l’Est and Gare du Nord, which was very convenient and ideal for trips into central Paris, Disneyland, and Versailles. Overall a very enjoyable stay, but a shame about the strange room layout.
- Katelyn (10/5): - Very clean stylish hotel
- Darren (8/5): A fairly recommended hotel. - The hotel was pretty good. The slight downside was the toilets as it was pretty small and there was little room to move about in. The bed was also firm which might be good for others, but for us, it was a little bit uncomfortable. The amenities overall was good, shower in the bedroom was a waterfall style shower, but little privacy for those going with their partners who don't like a little exposure.
- Nana (10/5): - Great and clean
- Stephanie (10/5): - We really enjoyed our stay at OKKO. The convenient location meant that we barely used the metro at all, walking everywhere instead. The staff were super friendly and polite, the hotel was very stylish. The only issue was that we noticed there was some mould in the shower (on the ceiling). Nevertheless, we will certainly return to OKKO next time we are in Paris!
- Carl (8/5): Excellent location for pleasant hotel - We wanted a hotel for a single night before the Eurostar next morning. This hotel was excellent, it is right next to Gare De l'Est which is good for the Metro and only 5 mins straight walk to Gare Du Nord. Staff were friendly and the hotel was clean. Will stay again.
- Andrew (10/5): - N
- Luke (10/5): - I was impressed with my stay at OKKO. The location is unbeatable for transport and location, being directly attached to the Gare de l'Est train station, making exploring Paris incredibly easy. The modern, sleek design creates a really relaxing atmosphere. A perfect place to unwind after a long day of exploring. Our room was very compact but well designed, very clean, and had a comfortable bed. For a stylish, convenient, and great-value stay in Paris, I would highly recommend OKKO and would definitely stay here again.
- Laura (8/5): Taxes extra, nice features and extras - Paris tabes of of 8 Euro per person per day were a surprise. They were able to accommodate feather free bedding. Snacks and apero were very nice. Full bed with one mattress was a welcome change from other hotels with trim beds pushed together. Nice fully enclosed shower.
- Lee (10/5): - Really nice eco friendly hotel. Easy to find easy to base from for Paris
- Fan (10/5): - Great staff and accommodations
- Joe (10/5): - Great service and very convenient location between two of the main stations in the city. This was our second stay here.
- OLUDARE (10/5): - I like it!
- Caitlin (10/5): - Nice place. Booked for proximity to the train station and it definitely delivered, easy to get off our train and around the city via metro. Area didn’t feel unsafe, just the people you usually see around train stations. Probably could find better breakfast if you looked due to expensiveness of hotel’s breakfast but convenient with location and hours (7-11am). Snack selection was probably overhyped by other reviews but we appreciated the cold water machines available.
- Christina (10/5): Great in every way! - Perfect location for getting around Paris, whether you’re wanting to walk to places or use public transport. The room was just right for me and met all of my needs.
I love this hotel brand and have stayed in the branch in Nice, I would most definitely recommend!
- William (10/5): OKKO Paris Gare de l'Est is a good surprise - We stayed at the OKKO Paris Gare de l'Est due to its incredible location next to the train station. Next meaning you look out the lobby windows and see people a hundred feet away on the platform. One would question sound and noise. The OKKO is virtually soundproof. This location was chosen as a one night solution during our trip. With the train station and Paris Metro nextdoor - it worked perfectly. The hotel offers a breakfast which was good.
- Vanshika (10/5): - I am extremely grateful to the people at okko hotel no words can describe.
I accidentally left my bank cards at the hotel, and the staff not only found them but also went above and beyond to help me retrieve them. They offered to mail the cards to me and even offered to personally deliver them to my departure station, showing remarkable kindness and concern for my well-being. Although I had already crossed immigration, they still checked in with me to ensure I had enough cash or alternative funds. Their dedication towards helping is truly impressive. I'm utterly grateful for their efforts and would highly recommend Okko Hotel for their outstanding hospitality.
- Ulrike (10/5): - Very convenient and quiet despite being right next to a large train station. Basic but modern European style hotel rooms. Hotel has air conditioning so comfortable in summer.
- Anne (10/5): - Extremely convenient to Gare de l’Est, comfortable and elegant
- Gillian (8/5): - The hotel itself was great. Lovely, clean and comfortable and was very close to Gare Du Nord, however the surrounding area was not the nicest, especially at night.
- Anthony (10/5): - It was great
- Sinem (10/5): - The best place to stay at if you’re traveling from gare de l’Est.
- Stephen (8/5): Simple, clean and convenient for Gare du Nord - Very simple and clean hotel that was very convenient for early train from Gare du Nord early morning. Club lounge was nice idea, although very limited snacks available at the short time we were there.
- Oliver (10/5): - Great location - close to train stations and walking distance to Notre Dame.
- Lilz (10/5): - Very nice, will definitely stay there again.
- Arthur (8/5): - Friendly staff and a good price.
- Amy (10/5): - Excellent hotel. Extremely convenient to both train stations!
- Curtis (10/5): - Great experience! The staff were very welcoming and happy to accommodate us. Very clean and certainly would visit again. Great location too.
- Marlene (10/5): - Lovely hotel which met all our needs.
- Liliya (10/5): - I was honestly pleasantly surprised with Okko. I really did enjoy my stay. The beds were very comfortable. I loved having the work space and also coffee and water available at all times to all customers.
- Ashley C (10/5): - Truly the best hotel I’ve stayed in. The staff was lovely, the area was incredible.
- Oyindamola (10/5): - Great place to stay while visiting Paris. The hotel is close to two major metro stations so great for getting around.
- Ruth (10/5): - The staff were so friendly and welcoming. The hotel was perfectly situated for our early morning train, super convient. The hotel was very comfortable and tastefully decorated
- Helen (10/5): Lovely spot for one night - Room is extremely quiet and the aircon was very good. The room was spotless.
- Chris (10/5): - This is an excellent, and highly accessible hotel
- Lisa (10/5): - Staff was very friendly. Enjoyed the breakfast. Room was very clean and was in a great location for walking to all attractions.
- Anthony (8/5): - Clean & convenient.
- Anthony (8/5): - Very close to train station Paris Est. Clean, staff are exceedingly over qualified and well mannered.
- Verified traveler (6/5): Below standard - It’s on a bad location under the bridge and on the side of the station. The only thing good is it’s accessible to the train and metro station. The food servers were great as well as their free snacks. The bed was so low and uncomfortable and the sink was clogged. Not worth the price I paid for.
- yue (10/5): - Hotel location is very good. And the street is safety compare with others around the area.
- Gillian (10/5): Excellent Location for the Eurostar - We had a good breakfast and a plentiful supply of drinks. The room was a bit small and we were not offered twin beds. However it was comfortable. The air conditioning was insufficient (it was very hot in the city) and we would have liked a better selection of snacks.
- J (10/5): Nice hotel - Great stay in a good location
- SAMUEL (8/5): - Very welcoming and accommodating staff, lovely amenities and good location for moving around!
- Sarah (8/5): - The hotel was great and fit my needs (close to the train station) and the staff was excellent. I am not sure why it is a 4 star hotel, it was not fancy at all. It was just nice. The area around the hotel is a bit sketchy. As a single female traveler, I'm not sure I would want to be walking around alone.
- Jacob (8/5): - It's a nice calm relaxing hotel. The staff are great and the area is very convenient. I understand to tourists it can feel sketchy, but we have had no issues.
The only negative being the toilet room in the hotel rooms is VERY small and while the AC works even in max cool don't expect to need a sweater in the room!
- Raewyn Julie (10/5): - We checked in on Mon 19th of May, checked out on Wed 21st of May. Upon arrival I was a bit weary of the location but was pleasantly surprised once inside. Lovely welcoming fragrant smell in reception. Staff were lovely, friendly that day and very helpful. We were able to check in early with a small fee to pay, we were ok with that as arrived early that morning. Got offered a refreshment and french pastry which was very sweet. Room was perfect, had everything we needed. Had a yummy breakfast each day. Nice selection. Thank you again, we would definitely come back again. Raewyn/Pete (Auckland, New Zealand)
- Tran H. (10/5): - Amazing hotel north of city closed to two major train stations.
- Maria (10/5): A Quiet Oasis in the Urban Bustle - Really great little modern hotel next to station - our room looked out into the platform but was very quiet. Checkin was easy and staff very friendly and helpful with directions. The restaurant looked good but we had no time to eat there. Rooms small but well designed. Would stay again .
- Christy (10/5): - We loved our stay. It was a bit warm in the rooms, but otherwise we enjoyed our stay.
- rosie (8/5): - i liked that it was close to public transport but did not like how unsafe the area felt at night
- MARIA (10/5): - Excellent hotel 10/10
- Kristein (8/5): - This was very convenient location between two train stations allowing us to get into the city on the metro and out to airport or Eurostar to London. A simple room but comfortable and quiet. Great to be able to get a juice or hot drink for free when returning from our day’s outings.
- IKER ELI (10/5): - Convenient location at Gare de l'Est. Staff is helpful and you can store your luggage after check out.
- Alison (6/5): Access to the hotel is not on the street - The location entrance was unexpected, not on a street but by dropping down to a side alley beside the railway tracks. Little details were annoying Eg the shower door opened out in front of the towel rail which meant you had to put your towel on the floor on the other side before showering. The light above the bath mirror only worked if the main lights were on.
- Randy (10/5): - Once you get in the room it’s quiet. Staff is friendly and they have free snacks in the club. Great place to stay!
- Stanley (10/5): - Area near hotel ( long path to hotel entrance) was not clean and certainly not welcoming. A hangout for undesirables of sorts.
- Lee (8/5): - My first impression of this hotel was that it was weird to have to get into a cage elevator to ride down to GET TO the hotel, however, once I got off,I was appreciative off the quiet separation from street level to hotel. This place was absolutely quiet and safe. It allowed your mind a quiet space to gather your bearings. Inside the entrance of the hotel, it's small and the classic rooms are TINY! That's what i booked initially, but the AC didn't work in that room so they switched me to a different room which was larger, sadly THAT room had a clogged shower drain so we were switched again. I can say that the staff WAS accomodating and very nice about the situation. The only truly not good thing about this hotel was their lack of storage. There's no dressers or night stands to unpack your things, there's only a few hangers for the rooms.
The Gare de l'est (train station)was literally steps from the entrance. Everything is accessible by train, I mean it was amazing! Overall I would definitely go back to this hotel.
- Phone (8/5): - The hotel location is good. It is around 8-10 minutes walk to Eurostar station, 5 mins to Metro. It is near to a lot of restaurants and supermarket.
You are provided with 24 hours access to the Club lounge where drinks, such as coffee, tea and water as well as light snacks are offered. However, no kettle or bottles of water are provided in the room.
- Eduardo (6/5): - I gave it 3 starts only bucause after telling, everal times and hanging the sig on the door knobs, to the cleaning lady do not need to clean the room certain days, she still doing it even when for once we decided no to leave the room one day, she decided to get inside the room when we were inside.
We did not feel save leaving our stuff around the room.
Just to make things clear, we didn't lose or missed anything.
- Eddie (8/5): - Should put the instructions on how to operate the AC in the room. This has been asked everytime by everyone
- Duncan (8/5): Better than average - Acceptable. Good lounge area. Modern decor. Good location. Quiet even though next to trains.
- Zachary (10/5): - OKKO Gare de L’est is a beautiful property nestled between Gare de Nord and Gare de L’Est train stations. Steps away from the Metro, the gym and club offerings were excellent. The snacks and drinks that were available throughout the day, made a late day return from exploring, refreshing. We regret not using the sauna, but plan to return in the future. The room was perfect, and beautifully laid out and maintained.
- Charles (8/5): - Loved the location convenient for metro and numerous dining options within walking distance.
Overall hotel was good but had minor problems with room namely faulty safe and flooding shower.
However if I were to return to Paris I would stay here again.
- Carrie (10/5): - The attention to detail was really nice. The snack bar and the breakfast were both lovely.
- Verified traveler (10/5): A wonderful stay - I had a wonderful stay at the hotel. The location is excellent—just a few minutes’ walk from both the metro and train stations. The hotel itself is clean, cosy, and very welcoming. What I enjoyed most was the communal area, where I could relax with free drinks and snacks and have comfortable chats with friends. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again on my next visit to Paris.
- April (10/5): - Very convenient location!
- Stacey (8/5): - Really clean hotel, excellent location for Gare du Nord
- Margaret (8/5): Private sanctuary - I love this hidden gem. Super convenient for access to train stations yet you feel like you're stepping into a little sanctuary.
- Verified traveler (8/5): Highly recommend for convenience to Eurostar - Best place to stay the night before taking the Eurostar from Paris to London. Convenient location and easy access (elevators/escalators). Great breakfast and snack room option.
- Sandra (10/5): - We liked the relaxed atmosphere of the hotel and felt safe at night in the hotel.
- Emilie (8/5): - The hotel didn’t quite live up to the chic vibe I was expecting. That said, the amenities were a nice touch—having coffee, tea, and small snacks available around the clock was convenient, though a few of the snack options seemed questionable in terms of presentation and freshness.
The rooms were clean and simple, but definitely on the smaller side—probably not ideal for a longer stay.
The staff were very friendly and welcoming, which helped balance things out. The surrounding area felt a bit sketchy at night, but we didn’t encounter any issues.
- Vicky (8/5): - Lovely hotel. Reception staff were excellent. Snacks available were a nice idea. The hotel is very clean and feels modern.
Only problems we had was the building site directly outside the bedroom window. It was very noisy from 7am in the morning. Also we had no shower gel in the room. We asked for some but none appeared.
- Craig S (10/5): - Excellent
- Thierry (10/5): - Excellent Service, calm location, well equipped facility, pleasant small gym and sauna
- Michelle (10/5): - Extremely close to train station, perfect for late arrival. Rooms were nicely appointed. Also, the endless drink and snack bar was very much appreciated. The complimentary filtered water on each floor was awesome to refill our water bottles endlessly. 2pm check out was nice too! Would stay here again.
- Joseph J (10/5): - Close to Gare de L'Est. and Gare du Nord - so understandably very good for travel connexions, less good for general area, Hotel very secure though.
- Akinsola (10/5): - We loved stay at OKKO hotel. As other have mentioned it is right next to the station which is very convenient. The rooms are small but we did not have an issue with this. Would definitely stay at the hotel again
- Karen (10/5): - Outstanding staff, warm and welcoming. So convenient to transport links. Clean, comfortable and very quiet. Highly recommend.
- Johnny (8/5): - Very clean
- Mohammad (10/5): - It’s a great area close to train stations but the room is so small we can’t compare with North America
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely hotel - I had stayed the hotel 5years ago when they just opened.
After pandemic, it has changed their service such as no complimentary food for breakfast (although they offer great beverages for free and some nibbles in the evening). The breakfast is 20 euro for buffet style food which seemed a bit too expensive for us.
We can buy when is €12-15 as it's an average in the cafe.
Also the interior of lobby area can be updated such as power points location as well as more business type of furniture.
It was so brilliant and modern when i visited first time, but as many people do workation and remote works, the hotel can be slightly updated.
But still, this is my favourite hotel in Paris!
- Merritt (2/5): - I travel a lot and rarely stay in a hotel that I would never go back to and that I would recommend all avoid - but this is it. It’s jammed in in a level below street level that feels like you’re entering a basement hotel. The entrance from the street is dirty and feels dangerous and, when I arrived, the elevator that takes you down three floors from the street level was out of order, requiring me to carry heavy suitcases down three flights. Staff was rude and unhelpful. I got no cell connection in its practically underground location. There are so many wonderful hotels in Paris. Please don’t ever stay here.
- Barry (10/5): - :-)
- Nesrin (10/5): - Located between two major stations, the staff is very helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable.
- Gregory (10/5): Paris - Good for train and metro - Very convenient from train arrival - special elevator to get to hotel from gare du nord so look for it
Has comfortable rooms and easy access to gare de est out the entrance
- Natalie (10/5): Great Hotel - Great. Room small but great design and very clean. Beautiful aesthetic in Hotel, great location. Watch out, the shower is in the room!
- Crystal (10/5): - Proximity to Gar’ de Est was perfect. I appreciated the safety of the property. The look and feel of it was wonderful and the sauna was a great perk!
- Leonardo (4/5): - Location is not good, cleaning also is not good I did. not recommended this hotel
- Dana (2/5): - You would not allow me to change the dates of my stay for free. You took my money and you know I didn't check in for the reservation. And you continue to send me surveys asking me how my stay was. Look at your computer system. I never came to your hotel.
- karim (2/5): Terrible experience - Terrible experience witg an alarm at 3h30 and no electricity and no help from the staff
- Abraham (10/5): - Really great staff and location, very convenient and close to the train station (Eurostar). The amenities were great too.
- Anna (10/5): Ticked all the boxes. - It ticked all the boxes for us. It was clean, comfortable and everyone was friendly. We loved the fact that we could help ourselves to proper tea - loose tea leaves of all flavours - and coffee in the self-service section and they had some cake slices too, so after a day out it was great to relax. We loved the room layout. The loo was in a separate room, which was far nicer and it meant that we weren't in each others way. The shower was visible, but as we are a couple that wasn't an issue. The rooms are not big, but they have everything in them that you need. they are well designed. We needed to be near the train station, so it was ideal. We will definitely be going back.
- Mariam (10/5): - Fabulous hotel—very safe and clean! The hotel staff is lovely, and the interior is modern and stylish. While the exterior might not give you high expectations, the inside more than makes up for it. Highly recommend!
- Gary (8/5): - Great hotel and convenient for Gare Du Nord, but the location is not great for wandering around - felt quite unsafe.
