Really nice rooftop pool with nice views. Nice gym too. Location is good, quiet, with a handful of malls and shopping centers around and 10 minute walk from closest BTS (skytrain) station.

- Birgitta (10/5): Great find in a city full of options... - As great as the room was, the service was even better. My flight to Bangkok was severely delayed by a whole day but I had been in contact with Tham, the director of rooms, via WhatsApp. Not only did he make sure my reservation was o.k., he made sure the airport transport car was kept abreast of my arrival time. The dinning hall staff were nice & welcoming every morning and the breakfast buffet had a lot of options in American/European food as well as Thai dishes. The hotel is right across the street from a 7-11 inside an office building. While the hotel is in somewhat of a business district, it is minutes from plenty of things to do. The hotel even has its on tuktuk to take you to the closest BTS station. The rooftop pool has an excellent view of the city. The door and front desk staff are helpful day and night with taxis, grab cars and even deliveries. Although most people don't spend much time inside their rooms, the tv has plenty of channel options including a Fox movie channel that has better and more recent films than what you see on airline networks and Netflix. I was in the suite & it is as described--but bigger. It's like an apartment and while some of the kitchen appliances are dated, they all work. The maid service replaces your 2 bottles of water every time the room is cleaned. There are 2 walk in closets with ample shelves and space to hang clothes. And there are 2 bathrooms. Chateau de Bangkok was the perfect place to take care of business and see the sights.

I gave this establishment high marks for its helpful and courteous staff and comfortable room. However, I found the cleanliness and maintenance in some areas lacking. Cons: the cockroach near the coffeemaker in the restaurant (I don't recall seeing it on the menu). Although clean upon check-in, our room was barely cleaned during our 4-night stay; (floors unswept, kitchen and bathrooms not cleaned, bedding not changed upon reuest, washcloths not replaced). We will not be staying here during our next visit to Bangkok.

Quiet area with a few small restaurants and bars nearby but nothing crazy. Coffee shop in the lobby. Coin laundry (which is such a blessing) in addition to per item laundry. Easy walk to the skytrain but there is a free shuttle if it's too hot. Great service. Amazing.

On arrival, our luggage didn't arrive due to late connecting flight. - Verified traveler (8/5): Good hotel and good room size - The hotel is slightly old but it's clean and roomy. It's about 10 mins away from the nearest BTS station and it is a good stay for me there.
- Caitlin (8/5): Perfect location - The service at this hotel is 5 star! Everyone is friendly and goes out of their way to help. It's definitely an older hotel that needs some paint and new carpet. But the rooms are massive and for a great price. The location of the hotel couldn't be better. So close to a ton of great restaurants and the sky train. The only complaint we have is that our air conditioning didn't work well and left the room warm and everything in the room feeling very damp. Otherwise it was a great stay!
- Michele (4/5): - Check in was difficult even though I had my reservation on my phone they tried to say I was only staying one night when I was staying 3 nights. Hotel was very run down. Lobby looked ok but once you got in the elevator it was very run down.

Once a luxury residence now showing its age but still excellent value. Good breakfast. Beware lack of room security, my room key card opened other rooms too!
- John (8/5): Nice hotel close to shopping and 2 exercise parks - Very nice hotel. I was quite surprised to see that I had a kitchenette and a nice sitting area. Great location close to 2 exercise parks for walking of riding a bike (bike rental at the park). Hotel has great breakfast and Tuk Tuk to drine to the Skyline. Quiet street near US Embassy and Holy Redeemer Catholic Church (daily Mass in English).

Breakfast was good. Pool was clean and had a great view of city. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to others & I'll be sure to stay here again when visiting Bangkok.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Good hotel - The hotel is a nice building but would need some renovations inside. Furniture and decoration are quiet outdated. Otherwise, the staff is really friendly. It is conveniently located near a BTS station. And breakfast is good, offering both occidental and oriental options. Overall it was a nice stay!

- Sonia (4/5): Unpleasant Stay - I think the stay wasn't pleasant. The facilities at the hotel is really old. The hotel charged any additional services/products at a premium price. There were no toothbrush and toothpaste provided in the hotel, and they charged 140 bahts for them. I can never get connected to their room service with phone, so I have to go down to the reception just to ask for them. The shutter bus to airport costs more than 1000 bahts, I don't really understand their pricing system, as the normal taxi service only costs around 350 baths.. I don't think I will ever want to go back to the hotel again.

- Edwin (4/5): Sticky Fingers - This is the second time I stayed here. In Sept 2016 I stayed here for 2 nights and my USB flash drive went missing. I needed to return to Bangkok for a business matter last week and I stayed here again. This time the cab driver that brought me to the airport tried to hustle me pretty aggressively. I don't like Bangkok much because it is such a sleazy city therefore I don't go there voluntarily. However, this is supposed to be a 4 star hotel and should be more trustworthy than this. I am very disappointed especially after this last incident with the cab driver. The hotel called the cab for me so they are responsible. It appears as if they are setting up their guests with crooks. I will not be staying here again.
- eddie (8/5): Pleasant stay - Clean, spacious rooms and well located for easy transportation. breakfast is basic with the normal choices given of most hotels. Has all the amenities like a pool, gym and wellness center, but did not trust eating at the restaurant. Plenty of good eateries outside the hotel. Liked the fact that the room had a kitchen that gave you the option to prepare your own meal or make snacks if you so wish.

The room was great, spacious the only disappointment was the water pressure in the bathroom shower as you needed to literally climb on the side of the tub in order to rinse off. Otherwise an excellent stay and will stay again. Great location, nice touch with the transportation to te BTS station. Thank you!

Mattress & pillows need better support. 14th floor water pressure for shower was poor but front desk happily relocated us to 10th floor unit with good pressure. Bring along your tooth brush & paste. Happy with kitchenette & utensils. Breakfast spread is acceptable.

- Verified traveler (8/5): - Chateau de Bangkok is a very well located hotel which is just a 5 minute walk from the ploenchit BTS (sky train) station and 15 minute walk to MRT (subway). It is located very centrally that you can reach around Nana station by around 10 minute walk and there are also many shopping malls around the hotel. (which are quite the hang-out areas in Bangkok) The staff at the hotel are very lovely and helpful. They were so king to upgrade us to a suite as this stay was the last step of our honeymoon. There is a swimming pool and Jacuzzi on the roof to relax as well as a gym. In my humble opinion, the breakfast is average. (maybe a bit above average) You can have local dishes for the breakfast as well as a continental breakfast. (Unfortunately except cheese :/ ) The hotel is in general clean and the rooms are cleaned on a daily basis. The only downside of it for me was that the furniture was relatively old and you can see the old stains quite easily. All in all, I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're on a business trip, or looking to find a centrally located nice hotel to stay with your family. It's not a budget hotel but it worth the price in my opinion.

- Eilat (10/5): - The hotel is in a great location. Amazing first impression of the entrance and Lobby. Check in by friendly and warm staff, with a cold drink and a cold towel. Got an upgrade to a suite and late check out. The room is like a one bedroom apartment with a kitchenette. The drawers were a bit smelly from dump and weren't very clean on the inside. Pic is attached. If I weren't so tired, I would have asked to change rooms. The toilet seat wasn't clean and there were hairs in the jacuzzi, that is also a shower. Shower linen wasn't replaced between guests and was a bit smelly. That means to me the the room wasn't cleaned properly and that is a no.1thing. Everything else seemed very clean, but after seeing that, I was a bit skeptical. Bed was large and comfy. 2 TV screens. It has some outdated features, but it's minor. Pool is small, sunny and nice. The interior of the hotel is renovated and inviting. Good chance I will come back and I do recommend it.

- Jeff (10/5): Home feeling in a great neighborhood - Chateau de Bangkok was or still is a service apartment, but seeing it as available for booking as a hotel with a very good price, we went ahead and tried it. I usually stay next door at Aetas Babgkok. There is a fitness room , rooftop pool, breakfast buffet was very adequate. We were upgraded to a one bedroom, which we very pleased with. Very nice and helpful staff. Most importantly was the close proximity to restaurants, especially the Yoka Yoka sushi bar and the BTS Phoenchit station .

- traveller (2/5): Cockroaches running on breakfast buffett table - Hotel is about 10 minutes walk from Ploen Chit BTS station. During check-in, hotel requires a deposit of 1000 Thai Baht. Had booked a studio room, yet hotel staff claimed to upgrade me to studio room free of charge. Had also requested quiet room and staff agreed but was given a room facing the highway and with a noisy family in the next room. The airconditioning temperature does not work and it is noisy. Had stayed here for 2 nights. The breakfast is the same type of food everyday and they only changed the 1 vegetarian dish. Saw cockroaches running on the breakfast table. The coffee machine was not refiiled with coffee beans on the second day breakfast. Had to pay for toiletaries like toothpaste, toothbrush and shaver. Hotel only provides shampoo, body lotion and conditioner. Actually, this is not a hotel but a service apartment.
