- Melinh (10/5): I would definitly go again - i loved the breakfasts and the little snacks served. rooms are really nice and the hotel is very beautifully decorated

- aviad (10/5): - The receptionist who did the check out i cant remember her name is super nice and smily. You guys used to great your guests with a card , stropewaffels etc.
It gave a good feeling.
- Patricia (10/5): Perfect place in a perfect location! - perfection! Breakfast was great but having guests leave dirty dishes, napkins, left over food, cups near the sink (and closest place to get water), made for a tight space and having to wait for a glass of water while people were rinsing or dropping off dishes. We were hoping for a trash can, as well, to collect refuse but had to leave it near the sink, it was a bit uncomfortable. Other than that small critique- wow! I loved staying at the property- everything and everyone was perfect!

- Hasan (10/5): - Herşeyiyle mükemmeldi kesinlikle tavsiye ediyorum.
- Anne Aurore (9/5): - The peaceful location. The nice rooms. The complementary drinks. N/A
- Lotte (9/5): Top locatie, behulpzaam personeel en goed ontbijt. - Locatie was echt top!
- annm554 (10/5): I Can't Wait to Go Back - We loved our stay at the Jan Luyken. The staff was uniformly kind and accommodated our schedule (early arrival and late departure) with easy bag check. Coffee and snacks during the day and wine/cocktail availability was nice too. The room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. This hotel is well-located just behind the main, high-end shopping street and within minutes of the major museums, yet is in a quiet, pleasant neighborhood. The building is a charming townhouse so the layout is unique and there are some short stairways that visitors will encounter to access some rooms, however the staff is very helpful with luggage. I can't wait to go back.

- David (10/5): very happy - friendly, welcoming nothing
- Ana (10/5): Perfect location, super comfortable - The staff is super nice, the breakfast is really good and the snacks and drinks available in the afternoon are a nice gesture.
The bed was super comfy and our room was excellent. You can hear the noise from the other rooms, but it is an old building so jot really their fault. It also wasn’t too bug of an inconvenience.
- Pamela (8/5): Great. Our friends at the Mandrin Oriental round the corner we’re not happy at ll! - Fantastic location. Large and comfortable bed. Loved the “ at home” vibe. Bedroom lighting a bit dark, especially bedside light for reading. Pillows too firm.
- Maureen (10/5): It was lovely. - Quiet boutique hotel on a lovely street in the museum quarter. Close to everything.
Room was small, tidy and adequate as was the bathroom. They provided several gathering rooms to relax and enjoy a beverage and snacks. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were all wonderful. No complaints at all.
- Gerald (9/5): A good place near so many museums - Amazing location
- minister0fha (10/5): Lovely town house with friendly staff - Lovely hotel described as a town house. Reception staff were friendly and helpful. Beer, soft drinks and wine were available all day and included in our stay. Breakfast was a normal continental with eggs as well. Very nice. Room was good with waffles and sweets in room. We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to recommend to friends and family.

- Victoria (6/5): Disappointing experience – Poor service and noise issues - Great location with walking distance to most neighborhood and attractions. Our rooms was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Service: Very minimal interaction with staff. We were never greeted when entering or leaving the building, which made the atmosphere feel unwelcoming.
Facilities: The breakfast offering is very basic, not the full buffet we expected. The bathroom layout is also poorly planned and difficult to move around in.
Noise: The building has poor soundproofing. We were woken up repeatedly by guests in the hallway and vacuuming in the morning.
Overall: Not a restful stay; would not recommend if you value service or a quiet night's sleep.
- Ole Aksel (8/5): Superkoselig hotell i museumskvartalet! - Beliggenheten.
- Maeve (10/5): -
- Tyan (10/5): Highly recommend, lovely hotel - Absolutely amazing hotel! Highly recommend and I’ll definitely be staying here again. The staff here, Kim and Juliet are lovely and so helpful. Location is great and the hotel
Is so cute and pretty. Definitely book here if you visit Amsterdam! Nothing! Everything was amazing
- Kenneth (9/5): Very nice stay!!!!! - Great Location, Staff was very friendly, eager to help, great restaurants nearby, with nice happy hour amenities, would definitely stay here again
- Shrishti (10/5): Fantastic location. Great breakfast. - Location, amenities, supplies Very very very small room with almost no space to move around
- lisabV1767YE (10/5): The perfect pre-cruise stay in Amsterdam! - I took a group of friends and family to Jan Luyken in April for a 2 night stay before our River Cruise. This Boutique Hotel is fantastic! From checking in to checking out, the staff were so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful and the atmosphere is like being at home. A comfy "living room" area and a big area with tables and chairs where my group of 18 could gather comfortably in the morning and evening, gave us no reason to seek out an outside venue to get together. The 'open bar' concept was a big hit with everyone and afternoon hors d'oeuvres were just the perfect amentities! The rooms were beautifully decorated and the beds we comfortable for a good night sleep. I highly recommend this hotel and will be sending all my friends and clients there when I need a place in Amsterdam with a perfect location in the middle of the Museum District. 🙌
- Carol (10/5): Amazing stay in Amsterdam - The location was wonderful in the museum district. The room was quite large with table and 2 chairs available. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was very good. We enjoyed the snacks from 4-7. We also enjoyed access to drinks , wine and beer which included. Since we stayed 5 nights we had a bag of laundry done no charge. We also made use of complimentary bikes. Sitting outside on the patio was great. The wifi was very good.
The hotel was also close to Vondelpark that is a beautiful green space with paths to walk on and bike Nothing for us, but there were a number of stairs on our floor (2nd ) that people with mobility issues may find difficult . There was an elevator but still some stairs to navigate
- Kevin (10/5): - This hotel is a little gem! We loved everything bout our stay and definitely recommend it. We traveled with another couple and the gathering space was ideal for conversation and for a card game. Refreshments including wine, beer, liquor was always available and it was delightful to return from a day of sightseeing to continue enjoying Amsterdam at the property.
- lynn (10/5): - Location in Museum district was great and still super close to get to Canal district; free bikes to use was added benefit , room was small but still comfortable, nice sized bathroom - wine and afternoon snacks were a nice bonus - but don’t be be fooled you are paying for those (itemized on your invoice ) Nothing
- Katarzyna (10/5): Polecam! - Bardzo fajny klimat, dobra lokalizacja blisko kilku muzeów. Miły personel i fajne patio. Dodatkowo zaskakujący był stały dostęp do napojów alkoholowych i bezalkoholowych. Przekąski popołudniu również w cenie. Polecam!
- Susan (10/5): -
- Litya (6/5): Disappointing stay, but excellent staff - Great staff, friendly people always kind and ready to help. The breakfast moment was chaotic. There were no plates or cutlery available, and the food selection was very limited. The coffee machine was not working, and the replacement—a basic machine—was clearly insufficient for the number of guests.
The hotel also offers afternoon snacks, but the quality and quantity provided was very poor considering the number of guests, even though it wasn’t particularly busy at the time.
We stayed at this hotel two years ago, and at that time the breakfast and snacks were excellent. That made this visit especially disappointing. Unfortunately, this is not the level of service you would expect for a stay costing over €500 per night.
- Richard (9/5): -
- George (8/5): Excellently located charming boutique hotel in one of Europe's most vibrant capitals. - Great location near the museums and inviting neighborhoods. The bed was very comfortable. Buffet breakfast was good. Staff had excellent attitude. Free bar was especially useful, although it was disappointing that the ice machine was broken and apparently unrepairable during our stay (!) Our room didn't have enough closet space. The staff as noted had excellent attitudes, but unfortunately they were not that helpful in terms of concierge activities. And the price, but in all fairness we chose to visit in the bullseye of tulip season.
- Ladan (10/5): Charming hotel with kind service and in a great location! - Such a charming boutique hotel in a great neighborhood(museum quarter)
and close to a major tram station!
The staff is super nice and friendly! Walking distance to Vondel park and all the designer stores!!! This is really a home away from home. The breakfast was good. The afternoon snacks and the free bar were nice added touches.
We really enjoyed our 5 night stay. Nothing

- Kai-Ala (6/5): Great location but . . . - We booked this hotel because of its location, with easy access to the museums and Vondel Park, as well as its positive reviews. The location was as expected, but the rest of our experience was adequate, at best. We booked a "Small" room and that description was apt, with barely enough room for two carry on cases, only one of which at a time could remain open. The bed was comfortable enough but maneuvering around it was challenging. The bathroom was quite small, and the shower-over-tub arrangement was a bit treacherous to deal with. Furnishings were worn and dinged. Housekeeping was limited to tidying the bed, replacing towels and paper goods, and emptying the single, tiny trash container - no evidence of cleaning. The air conditioning worked efficiently.
The included breakfast was uninspiring, with something in all the usual European hotel buffet categories, but not much choice. The fresh fruit salad was good, and everything was resupplied as consumed. With a full house, the breakfast room was crowded and the single coffee machine was sometimes a bottleneck. There was no service, guests had to clear their own plates to a sink that was emptied periodically by the staff
The hotel emphasizes its 24-hour access to snacks and refreshments included in the room price. It's true there was open access to refrigerated soft drinks and juices (no water though, you need to buy that outside if you want it in your room), a few cheeses and cured meats, and a tiny bar with some spirits, that made a beverage in the pleasant courtyard an afternoon highlight.
The overall experience was somewhere between a hostel and a hotel. Good location, but disappointing room - would not stay here again.
- Matthew (10/5): - Amazing hotel, staff were very helpful, excellent location, and the free drinks and snacks were the icing on the cake! Nothing
- Ann (10/5): Great hotel in an excellent location and a very friendly staff! - Excellent selection of all you could want in a breakfast buffet. Small stair steps leading to the upstairs room.
- Elizabeth (5/5): Disappointing accommodation. We expected a higher standard. - The quiet and central location Our room was dark and with no adequate shower enclosure. The breakfast offering was limited and access to food and drinks was chaotic at busy times. The staff were hard to identify and there was no duty manager in overall control.
- Catalina (8/5): -
- Theresa (10/5): Fijn, warm en huiselijk hotel! - Alles was top. Niets.
- Marina (10/5): -
- Julie (10/5): Great location with free bikes, cocktails and breakfast - Great location close to the museums, shopping area and rail stops.
Wonderful staff and large room and bathroom. Offered snacks and unlimited wine, beer, and cocktails in the afternoon. Delightful breakfast served in the morning
- Federica (10/5): - Everything Nothing
- Daniela (9/5): - 2nd time and still love the boutique vibe and community and location!
- Maria (8/5): Nice. Fantastic location - Cozy room
Tea/coffee and lounging spaces
Breakfast My room was never cleaned, so coffee/tea were not refreshed
Lots of noise in the street in the middle of the night

- Vanessa (6/5): Lovely hotel, great building and facilities. Staff not being able to assist to find a solution was disappointing in a 4 - Beautiful hotel, lovely facilities. Breakfast perfect and the free bar a lovely touch to have a final drink to wind down at the end of the day. Staff on check in absolutely divine - friendly and welcoming. The shared facilities to wind down after a long days sightseeing Unfortunately I spent both evening very cold in my room. I thought I had misused the air conditioning unit as it only seemed to blow cold. The next morning I clarified with the reception staff only to be told that all heating is switched off centrally at the beginning of April. I asked if anything be done such as a small heater as I was extremely cold and was told nothing could be done. I don’t expect this of a 4 star hotel to be left feeling cold and would normally expect some kind of solution to help a guest to feel comfortable. This is the only reason I have given such a low score. It would have been a hotel to return to but not without any heating option.

- Thomas (10/5): If we come back to Amsterdam we will stay here - Location was in the middle of the museum area easy walks.
Bikes everywhere so you have look Stairs are steep with narrow steps
- aviad (9/5): -
- Alison (10/5): I really don't think I would stay anywhere else in Amsterdam now - We opted for a small room which was perfect, we had tea and coffee in the room and complimentary dutch waffles which was lovely. Breakfast is always lovely, with overnight oats/chia and lovely bread, cheese, salmon, ham etc. We always enjoy a few wines and beer and the afternoon snacks are lovely. Staff are so nice too - its such a good location so we can just walk everywhere and then hop on a bus across the street to get to the airport There was construction outside on the street so that was noisy, but not the hotel's fault. Also because we opted for a smaller room I think we were at the back of the hotel and the front rooms have a gorgeous view of the street, so missed that, but that was my choice to get the smaller room and save money
- Marissa (8/5): - The staff were lovely and very accommodating. I loved the breakfast selection and really appreciated the late afternoon snacks. The hallways look a little tired and should be refreshed to match the charm of the rest of the hotel.

- Zuzanna (10/5): Polecam!
- Joester (10/5): We highly recommend this hotel. Large rooms, fantastic location, great staff. Nd amenities that feel like you are stayin - Great large rooms, amenities include excellent breakfast, afternoon snack, open bar and 24hour coffee. Lovely staff. Perfect location. All good

- F4477KTkeithh (10/5): Warm Hospitality and Top Value in Central Amsterdam Luxury Boutique Hotel - Great location near the museums - Rijks, Van Gogh, Rembrandt, Ann Frank house and Palace. Cozy hotel with welcoming, homey common spaces with a great breakfast and happy hour included daily. Nice, clean, spacious room and personalized, friendly service from the onsite staff who also provided helpful advice on restaurants, transportation, tours and reservations. Overall A+++ grade for service, amenities, location and overall value.
- Nicanor (5/5): I will avoid this hotel. Not value for your money. A 3-star motel at best. - The property was within walking distance to both the Rijks and Van Gogh museums. The breakfast was fairly ok. The pillows and the bed were comfortable. The staff needs some major retraining in customer service. We arrived late at night on Friday, 03 April and was struggling to open the main door while lugging several pieces of luggage (we were on a week-long holiday in France before our arrival). The guy manning the front desk, Jakob, he said his name was, didn't even budge helping us with the door. He was impolite and rude. The room was also too small. The shower area's drain was clogged with hair. The carpet floor was not clean, and the clothes cabinet smelled moldy. In fairness, the room floor size was disclosed in advance, but just the same, this is an overpriced 3-star hotel.
- petr0uschkam (10/5): An amazing hotel. Our room was spacious, the staff welcoming, the lodge and garden area wonderful. Highly recommend - Fantastic hotel in a great area
- Charles Anthony (10/5): - Colazione ottima.Idea aperitivo proposto ottima Offerte bevande gratuite Camers senza armadio ne cassettiera come scritto nella descrizione
- Michael (10/5): We thoroughly enjoyed Amsterdam and this lovely, convenient boutique hotel. 10 out of 10 - This is a wonderful gem of a small boutique hotel. The staff are friendly and helpful, always attentive to your needs or questions. The whole vibe is homey and welcoming, much like staying at a friend's house. Delicious breakfast in the morning, fresh baked sweets in the afternoon, cheese, fruits and crackers in the late afternoon, and open bar all day. The facility includes a cozy living room, open air patio, sunny cafe as well as a gym!
The property is located on a quiet street just a few blocks from the museums. We will be back!
- Anida (10/5): -

Our room was spacious
Cleanliness
Nice staff

- Leo (8/5): - Lovely staff and great amenities The bathroom was worse for wear, could do with re-modelling
- Marie-Lucie (9/5): -
- Gemma (9/5): - Staff were lovely and really helpful. Breakfast and snacks were great! Location was perfect. A little noisy at times - air conditioning and plumbing but it’s an old building so to be expected
- Gabriel (10/5): -
- Juliana (10/5): - Tolles Hotel mit außergewöhnlichem Konzept. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause Nichts
- Rosa (10/5): Such warm, friendly staff who seem to really strive to make you feel at home. - We loved the all day yummy snacks and free bar! All good!
- Turckheim (10/5): Lovely quiet hotel - We have stayed here every time we visit Amsterdam since 1986. It has new management and is better than ever. Bicycles available. Free wine bar and breakfast included. Near the museums such as Van Gogh and Rijksmuseum.

- Piotr Filip Zwierzykowski (9/5): -

- Michelle (7/5): This was my third stay at this hotel, and sadly, the quality seems to be going down :( - The staff at the front desk is always helpful and welcoming. The breakfast is reliably wonderful as are the snacks and beverages available all day. It’s wonderful to have access to bicycles at no extra cost. The lobby/living areas are beautifully decorated and welcoming. The cleanliness of the bathroom and toiletries were disappointing. Upon arrival, it seemed only fresh towels had been replaced as there was visible urine and fecal matter on the toilet. The three toiletries containers provided in the shower all seemed to contain the same product (soap) rather than body wash, conditioner, and shampoo. We asked the front desk if the toiletries could be replaced while we were out for the day. They made the request to housekeeping, but on our return, it seemed the liquids were still not correct so we purchased our own at the store nearby.
- Andrey (7/5): Good stay with not very nice sleep experience - The location, reception staff and unlimited alcohol concept The outdated bathroom facilities, squeaky floors, incredibly slow lift, lack of sound proofing and noise from the street during the night.
