I liked that there were golf carts around to take you to your destination. We liked the shows and that they were a little earlier. Luis Alberto Martinez Gonzalez at restaurant Carbao helped make our trip so much better. He was phenomenal and my husband loved his trips to check on us. He often surprised us with various shots and that was nice. This is nothing against Nizuc or the Moon palace, but it just wasn't my vibe. It was VERY crowded and it seemed like the type of place where you go to the pool and drink all day and then pass out by the pool. We found a nook of loungers away from the pool area which overlooked the beach and that was nice. Compared to the previous resort we stayed at, I found that Moon Palace really tries to sell you upgrades (better room), room credits, future trip credits, etc. They will find you with a tablet when you try to check out and try to sell you package deals. At check-in, after check-in, and check-out we were getting pitched deals and packages, etc. To get a decent cup of coffee, you have to walk all the way to the main lobby or hitch a ride with the golf cart. There is a basic coffee machine in the room. I only say this because we stayed at a different resort and in every other building next door, there was an available coffee bar that you could make yourself a nice cup of coffee. (you didn't have to go to the lobby)

Al final fui a terminar mis vacaciones y me echaron a perder el viaje, realizándome cobros de servicios que les dije que los cancelaran y no lo realizaron, servicios que me ofrecieron al momento de querer hacerme socios y asta el día de hoy cero respuestas.

• Cecilia (4/5): Not trustworthy - Employees are great and do the extra mile to help. Beds are uncomfortable, seafood is not the best, don’t eat sushi, pretty bad quality. They messed up with spa credits and bill, I had to pay $150 more in my bill for having not the update bill, service employees are so nice and they really try to help, but the system is obsolete or maybe they don’t have an electronic updated system, no interfase within their facilities sales department and check out. Still 6 days I’m back and they didn’t update my bill.

The housekeepers clean our room twice a day. We get fresh towels everyday. Room service was awesome too! All the things we needed are available and accessible. The whole resort is stinky from the beach. Whenever we go out of our room, we could smell the stinky beach. The lobby smells good though.

• Michelle (1/5): Moon Palace is all about sales and not service. - The Moon Palace Nizuc was an enormous disappointment—a huge waste of time and money. While the facility and grounds were nice and the experience of being there had the potential to be enjoyable, the aggressive sales tactics overshadowed anything positive about the experience. From the moment we stepped on to the property, a sales person immediately told us about all the restaurants and activities we didn’t have access at the Moon Palace Grand. They shared very little information on what was available at Nizuc, only made the point that it was quite limited relative to the Grand and that we ought to pay several hundred dollars to gain access to the Grand. When I told them no, the next pitch was to take part in a 90 minute sales presentation in order to gain access to the Grand and to get Resort points. They promised Resort points would allow access to many other activities. Unfortunately as it turns out the Resort points were exceptionally difficult to use and really not worth much given the limitations and associated charges to use them. The 90 sales pitch was actually closer to 3 hours, and was very intense and manipulating. They used so many high pressure sales tactics—including three different sales people who tried to seal the deal and got nasty when told no. Throughout the process, they devalued what we’d purchased to try to influence us to purchase something more, wasting a good part of our day. Rather than enjoying the sunny weather, they kept us for hours in over-airconditioned spaces, absorbing their high pressure sales tactics—to buy memberships for thousands of dollars in their resort network. They did very little to make our experience positive before they immediately launched into sales mode. Based on the information from the booking, it was not clear that Nizuc was so limited in its offerings, so it was a disappointment from the very beginning.

We sat through a presentation at the grand which we were told that us how we would find more out about our 3 nights in punta Cana. You only get the 3 nights if you purchase 3 or more nights and they want u to do it right now. We were given day passes to the Grand for attending. The water park looked dirty especially the lazy river and the wave pool. I just was not impressed overall for the price.

(Tal vez fue un descuido) - Los resort credits es una ilusión, tienes que pagar el 16% de todo lo que gastes y solo lo puedes gastar en lo que ellos te dicen, por ejemplo, unos lentes que cuestan fuera del hotel $100 aquí dentro les ponen $1500 y pagas el 16% de $1500 que serían $240 al final da igual, no crean que es un beneficio. - Pusieron unas canchas de tenis nuevas hermosas pero no las pude usar, en su lugar usamos una de las viejitas que esta con el piso deforme a nivel de la red esta mas alta que al los lados. Lo que me gusto es el flow-rider, las cenas, y lo grande que es. No volvería no entiendo los 4 diamantes muchas mejores opciones por un precio menor.

• Frederick (8/5): - It is large property that is well maintained and transportation option by golf carts or bikes if you don’t want to walk. The food options are good and variety is commendable. There are scheduled activities and entertainment onsite. You can get food and drinks by the pool or have drinks at the swim up bar. At every turn there are friendly and hardworking staff ready to serve with a smile. It was a pleasure to be their guests. It was a great experience and I would recommend anyone to stay at the Nizuc property. Like many others have mentioned, Nizuc tends to be less noisy and congested. This doesn’t mean it will not get that way. My dislikes are; at check-in they offered to upgrade my room at a cost (upsell), shortly after I was directed to their vacation planners who wanted to invite us to a presentation for a day pass to The Grand, the luxury property, and then a call to our room the next day asking if we had an opportunity to learn about the presentation and offer. As you can see it is not a terrible thing but the least liked event of our trip.
• Simone (10/5): - 21 years since we last visited Moon Palace and we will not wait as long again. The resort, although large with the addition of the Grand is so efficient. The staff call you by name, from the bellboy, to the lobby and the waitstaff. The staff are what make this place special and they work super hard and always with a smile. The lobby shuttles and the golf buggy service around the resort is great. The one let down is the beach. The sand is beautiful but like many resorts the seaweed is a major issue. This though did not spoil our stay.

• Mina (2/5): - During my stay at the Moon Palace Hotel in Cancun, the last night was very unpleasant. When we entered our room, it was infested with ants, including on our clothes. We contacted the hotel, and they changed our room, but the problem with ants on our belongings remained. Additionally, the new room was not suitable for three people, making our stay uncomfortable. This experience caused significant inconvenience, and I am seeking appropriate compensation for the issues we faced.

• Dione (10/5): - I did not like the raccoons on the property they are too big and scary at night and it’s over 600 of them they need to get that removed and the golf cart transportation is very slow and it makes you miss reservations they need to be quicker with pick up times other than that I love it

• Sarai (8/5): - Oceanfront suite: From August 8-12. Was clean and comfortable with a king bed, ocean-view balcony, tub, shower, mini fridge (restocked daily), and liquor dispenser. Pools were huge, clean, and never crowded. Buffet had great variety; hibachi at Sunrise was the best specialty restaurant, but the Mexican restaurant in Nizuc was disappointing. Plenty of kid-friendly areas, arcades, mini golf, and easy transport around the resort. Staff were outstanding—attentive and friendly, with fast check-in and luggage help. Atmosphere is relaxed and family-oriented. Downsides: resort credits feel like a scam (16% tax on inflated prices) and the membership sales pitch is pushy. Overall, beautiful property, great service, and perfect for families.

• mykael (6/5): - This place used to be good well really good i asked many of my friends to start there this last week I tino my kids back and surprice!!! All has changed I en counter bugs in the rooms, restaurants and the treatment was not not there. Servers had a bad attitude towards client when I confronted o the of them for the bad service and bad attitude he showed towards my and my family I received an apology from the head server however this shall not had happen in the first place there many of the servers that go above and beyon to help and serve but there was a few rotten ones that F it for all of the resort. This is not a good hotel to stay at least not any more it has gone bad with so many people and low quality service. It is my experience and opinion hope this changes soon because I did lived this place and the peace it had .

• Favian (8/5): Good Staff, Bad Time Share Salesmen - The overall stay at Moon Palace Nizuc was great. From the Bell staff, waiters, kitchen staff, playroom staff, room service staff, and reception. The one issue we ran into while staying there at Moon Palace Nizuc was when we did the tour of Moon Palace The Grand, for the two day free pass— the last of four salesmen who were trying to sell a timeshare was rude and insulting to my wife and I when we refused to buy anything from them. He got snarky and tried to get a reaction out of us; however, my wife and I didn’t react the way he was trying to have us react which prompted him to finally give in and tell us to leave. We had a great stay up until that point, luckily it was second to last night Monday there which we made up our minds NEVER to return to Moon Palace Nizuc. The only thing going for them is the humble work staff that are trying to make an honest living and not stiff tourists. Our next vacation will be at another hotel and not at Moon Palace resorts. The individual was reported to the reception staff once we were leaving because they asked what our opinions of our stay at the resort. Frankly, there are bad everywhere you go, however; this was a little on the extreme side and even the reception staff felt bad for us once they asked us to describe this individual so they could report it to their bosses. Regardless, this type of behavior is not condoned by anyone outside of the timeshare folks and it definitely left a mark with us.
