• Brad (7/5): Accommodations were fine, just don't expect any help (or intelligence) from the desk staff. - Good location for our purposes, nice enough room. Uninformed juvenile staff. We asked for a recommendation for a good pub to get a good burger, they said (both of them, a pretty black girl and another possibly Eastern-European accented girl with blue-blonde hair) "Your best bet is to order from Popeye's...or McDonalds"... then they started to mock-argue: McDonald's or Popeye's. I said, forget it. How about just a good local pub? They said that there weren't any nearby, and our best bet was to go to Farringdon Station, that we might be able to find a pub from there. We did: both Sutton Arms and The Slaughtered Lamb, great pubs, both LESS THAN A BLOCK from the Citadines. These girls were idiots. In addition: low water pressure, no ice machines.

• Garry (8/5): Comfortable, great location, mostly great, but bed small - Nice studio room, good kitchen and other facilities, great view of the city (7th floor), very little street noise, loved the old London map on the bathroom floor, all very clean and smart. Great location for the Barbican and area around it. Helpful and friendly staff. Breakfast was fine. Although the double bed was very comfortable it was (very) small, which surprised us given the rating and deluxe studio. A wider one could have fitted the space. The other thing to note is that the air-conditioning unit buttons didn't work (except switching it on and off). The blue light from the A/C control unit was far too bright at night and made the room too light.

• Matteo (7/5): Great location but it could benefit with more attention and noisy - Great location, very well connected to all London, many restaurants and bars around the hotel and also easy to walk to major locations. The room was spacious and clean It was noisy, we could hear other people closing doors, or someone moving furniture upstairs on Sunday at 7:30AM (possibly the cleaners). Also our room's shower was quite blocked, the water did not flow down well and one time it overflowed

• Veronika (9/5): - Nagyon jó helyen van tömegközlekedés szempontjából. Metró kb 4perc gyalog, busz 2 perc gyalog. Csendes , nem hallatszik be az utca zaja. Kedves és segítőkész mindenki a szállodában. Mi nem sokat tartózkodtunk a szobában, de kényelmes és, tiszta volt minden.

• Dominic (9/5): Great location and rooms. - I stayed in a studio and kitchenette was a great addition to the room. The breakfast was rated as excellent and it was very good, but the hot buffet was very limited to three items, and one was meat-based with no vegetarian/vegan alternative.

• Rolf (10/5): Schönes großes Zimmer zu einem für London guten Preis - Zu diesem Preis ein wirklich schönes, großes Zimmer. Großer Schreibtisch und Klimaanlage. Schönes Bad. Originell: Der Boden ist mit einer Karte von London gefliest. Sehr freundliches Personal. Zur Metro Barbican sind es nur ein paar Gehminuten. Komme gerne wieder.

• Emily (8/5): Would stay again - Really comfortable and clean room with everything you'd need for an enjoyable stay. The room was spacious for London and great value, and the kitchenette was well equipped and clean. The bed was very comfy. Convenient location close to public transport and amenities. The room was too hot despite turning the thermostat down a lot, it didn't seem to make a difference to the room temperature. The complimentary coffee machine was not working during our stay, but there was a kettle in the room and cafés nearby.

The rooms were too stuffy and an alarm went off in my room at 4am which woke me up after I had just completed the London Half Marathon. I was exhausted the next day. No one could tell me what the alarm was for and no one seemed bothered that it affected my sleep etc.

• andreas (9/5): Super Hotel für einen Stadtbesuch - Gleich in der Nähe von U Bahn Station und einer anderen Statioin zur Elisabeth Line. Supermarkt und Lokale in unmittelbarer Nähe. Die Gegend wirkt sicher, wenn auch wenig los ist. Man könnte in 25 Min zu Fuß bei St Pauls sein. Das Zimmer war TOP! Groß, leise (außer den Gang hört man etwas) Es gibt genug Möglichkeit zum Aufhängen von Sachen (Garderobe), zum Ablegen und auch Spiegeln. Und es gibt gratis Kaffee sogar mit Milch! Im Badezimmer könnte etwas mehr Platz zum Ablegen sein und das Zimmer wirkt recht dunkel.

• Sara (7/5): - Cleanliness was very high, the room was comfortable and the location impeccable. Excellent service in terms of staff who was also responsive by email and tried to meet my requests at their best (e.g. request for separate beds). Overall very pleasant stay. The room was very small, some practical things were missing like plugs in the kitchenette, space too cook, a bediside table. I would have imagined the studio to be a bit more spacious for the price.

• carlottalapi (10/5): Fantastic stay - We had a fantastic stay! We spent four nights here and truly enjoyed every moment. The room was very comfortable, clean, and well-equipped with everything we needed, including a tea and coffee set. A nice extra touch was the coffee machine at the entrance, available anytime. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made our stay even more pleasant. Although we didn’t try the breakfast, it looked delicious. Despite the hotel’s central location, the room was quiet at night, and we slept very well. The only small detail is that we had two single mattresses pushed together; however, we were informed that a true king-size bed can be arranged if requested in advance—something we’ll definitely do next time. We absolutely loved visiting London, and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay at this hotel again!

Staff was wonderful, having the coffee station was such a great daily morning treat especially since we stayed 8 nights. • René (9/5): - Todo genial en Citadines Barbican. La habitación era bastante espaciosa (al menos para pasar un par de días), con una pequeña cocina y bastante limpia. La cama muy cómoda también. Además, en la recepción nos dejaron guardar el equipaje el último día. La ubicación es bastante buena. Puedes ir dando un paseo a Liverpool Street Station, a la catedral de St Paul, pasear por el río, etc. La parada de metro de Barbican está a unos 50/100 metros del hotel y tienes buenas conexiones de bus tanto en la misma calle como en la perpendicular. El precio, no es de lo más barato que puedas encontrar pero en relación calidad-precio está fenomenal para ser Londres. Sin duda, lo recomiendo.

• Didier (9/5): Una economica y placentera opción. - Habitación muy limpia y gran servicio. Gran relación precio-calidad. Si bien en booking la habitación doble aparece con una opción de "cama doble", esta termina siendo dos camas separadas que pueden unirse, pero que de todas formas resulta un poco incómodo si uno termina en la parte media de la cama.

• Helen (9/5): Very pleasant room in a good location. - Great location for concert at Barbican and sightseeing, only a couple of minutes from the tube. Room had everything you would hope to find in a hotel room and was well soundproofed too. Cafetière coffee was a nice touch. The room was too warm and we were unable to change the temperature of heating/aircon. So we opened the window which then let noise in but meant it was more comfortable. Reception staff were efficient rather than warm. Maybe consider decaf teabags in the room.

• Gary (8/5): Will stay again, but avoid the breakfast! - The reception staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Check in was smooth and the room was comfortable and well supplied. I'm contrast to a lot of self catering places I've stayed the kitchen had everything I needed to make dinner! Breakfast was appalling. I was waiting 5 minutes before I saw anyone, staff couldn't agree on whether I had to pay before eating or at checkout, and the food was minimal. The "hot breakfast" available was 4 sausages that looked and tasted like they'd been out since yesterday, and the tiniest spoonful of cold beans left in the bottom of the pan. The bread for toast was stale and the pastries weren't much better. I would be embarrassed to be offering this for free, let alone for the £16 they charge.
