Gym was so far away from the rooms and small. poor equipment location is very good employees were helpful nice view but could be one of my last options in Moscow
• FarAway48951232559 (2/5): Very Bad Experience In Savoy Hotel - The worst 5 stars hotel, First of all we received the room so late, there is no compensation. The AC doesn’t work. They changed the room and same situation. They gave us room in second floor which so noisy at night we couldn’t sleep. The electricity disconnect at night. We told them that we are celebrating our anniversary, to be honest this was the worst celebration. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone. It doesn’t worth the value of money.

• FR-RU2020 (10/5): An hotel with a soul - The hotel is very well located, few minutes walk from the red square, metro and all main spots in Moscow's center. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. The spa is delightful, it includes a heated pool, sauna. The restaurant offers an exquisite Russian cuisine, all the dishes were succulent, delicious the interior is stunning and the service discreet but efficient. The lavish breakfast buffet in the morning offers a wonderful selection and the piano is definitely a plus. The entire team is also excellent, from the bell staff, receptionist, housekeeper, bartender, waiter and waitresses at the restaurant. That hotel is definitely a true gem!

• cap_nemo_hr (10/5): Almost everything you wish - I got recommanded this hotel from my Moscouvite girlfried that was once in restaurant there. I was planning a last minute weekend trip to Moscow and hotel was quite high on my short list due to excellent position and unsually favourable rate. After the Interconti (although I am premium gold member) refused early check in free of charge, even if there was availability, I decided to give a try to Savoy. Now, there are phrases you keep hearing all the time. One of those we that we work with people repeat: there is: there is no chace for a good first impression. Well Savoy prooved that there is one. As I arrived to the hotel at 7am, the start was not good. Bell boy somehow unatentive, did not open the door, did not take care of my suitecase. The young man at the reception did not wear a jacket or a name tag. I could have checked in right away, but for the extra payment of 3000 RBL. No hard feelings, because early check in was agreed per phone from 10am, but could have been dealed otherwise I think. Anyway, they made me a huge favour. I had a splendid breakfast at Dr. Zhivago and I had chace to see Moscow like I never did before. Almost without traffic, withoung madening crowds, Red Square almost empty. When I came back shortly after 10am, the impression was totally different. Another bell boy very attentive. Two very nice ladies (Olga and Nina) checked me in frinedly and efficialy. They were at disposal for questions also later in a very friendly manner. I was escorted to my room. Everything in hotel is in a perfect condition. Elevator, floors and of course room. Very nice and stylish furniture, also bathroom very confortable and everything what you expect to get in a 5* hotel. Bed also very confortable, enough of electrical sockets, lights and internet fine. They brought me vase for flowers. I stayed in many 5* properties around the world, but I think this the first time they brought porcelain and not a plastic or glass vase. Very stylish. I had some time to test pool and sauna. Sauna normal, pool very big for a hotel pool. Easy to reach from the room. Before we went out, we had aperitff in hotel bar. Also there service was very friendly and fast. Breakfast ist beeing served in magnificent Savoy Restaurant and it is experience by itself. Choice is on the level of Russian upscale hotel, me personally I would wish a bit more choice of cheeses and better bread, but there are other things such as sirniki and blini that compensate for it. Omlette was hot an tasty. Piano player makes a very special ambience. Check out also very friendly and I am sure I will come again if the possibility will arise. The only negative thing is the turn down service. The rooms are perfectely clean on arrival, but in the evening the room maid only leaves chcolaits and goes. No preparation of bed, no curtain donw. Nothing. Generally, many room mades are from central Asian republics and on some occassions even communication in Russian is a bit complicated with them.
• reflekzor (10/5): Highly Impressive Customer Service - I am very impressed that Savoy Moscow, voluntarily agreed to cancel my booking and refund in full, due to my flight being cancelled. I will definitely book with your hotel again, once travel restrictions are lifted.

Alina at the Reception has been exceptionally helpful and professional. Breakfast has been really nice and there have been good range of food options. My room was rather smaller than what I expected, however, I think it is a room for one person. All things worked in my room. Dry cleaning was fast. In one word, I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel.

Still very good but some bullet points: * no tea/coffee making facility in room but you can ask for it * no iron/ironing board, and it’s not listed as available, but you can ask for it and it arrives. * junior suite 212 has 3 windows overlooking some other structure, so no view. Not a problem for us on this trip, but do check in advance if it matters to you. * very comfortable bed * breakfast room is really nice with a pianist and fish in a fountain.

Clean, beautifully decorated for Christmas, all the facilities in a castle - like building. There is doorman always to open the doors for you, as well as umbrellas available. The reception staff were always amiable, helpful and ready to help with directions and to connect to wifi (In Russia you have to have a local number to connect to Wifi.
• axhaut (10/5): Nice hotel - Hotel Savoy is very nice, coasy, enaf small hotel. Very nice staff at hotel. Nice rooms, good service. Normaly I visit Moscow 10 times per year. Try stay this hotel as often as it’s possible. Very good breckfast. Real luxury hotel.
• Howyong (8/5): 3 nights in Savoy - 30 Dec 2019 to 2 Jan 2020 The location is very strategic for us as we planned to celebrate New Year Eve at Red Square (800 metres) & shopping Malls are nearby. Walking distance to everywhere we wish to visit. The building & internal renovation are simply historic, very nice & classic. Breakfasts were good, many choices, served with live piano. We checked out the swimming pool on the 2nd floor, warm water, clean & nice, can swim in winter. Staffs are friendly & speak English mostly. However there are few points that fall short of the 5-Stars Hotel. 1. the carpets in the room are aged and stain can be seen clearly. 2. On 1 Jan 2020, 8.30am, the house keeper knock on doors to ask if we need house keeping, (we had late night), we read this from other reviews & it turned out to be true. 3. On 31 Dec 2019, or (1.20am 1.1.2020) we came back from Red Square & we would like to order drinks from the Hotel’s Bar, we sat in the Bar for more that 30 minutes but no waiters came to take our order, we gave up waiting & go back to the room. Overall it is a pleasant stay but Savoy fall short a little of a 5-Star Hotel.

• Dn769 (8/5): Great location need but hotel needs improvement - The hotel location was excellent this why we choose it and breakfast was nice I don’t give 5 stars for 3 points 1-the reception ask for card guarantee for the mini bar and they charge us 5000 Russian rub without he even say or notify us about the amount he wants to block or charge 2-we asked for kettle from the reception and the brought it to the room and we found inside ONLY 2 packs of Tea and 3 packs of sugar ... is it’s for 5 stars hotel !!? And during 3 days OF our stay they didn’t refill it even once So we had to find super market and buy coffee and tea for ourselves 3- cleaning was not good ( we left two glasses after drinking tea from first day and until we left in day 4 it wasn’t changed or removed or cleaned
• Adelonian (10/5): Six Nights at the Savoy - On a recent trip to Russia we stayed at the Savoy in Moscow. It proved to be an excellent choice. The hotel is very well situated near Red Square and the rooms are very comfortable. The hotel was originally a palace and has been converted into a hotel. The breakfasts are very good and on two occasions we dined in house in the beautiful dining room. The staff were most helpful and the hotel has a swimming pool and spa which is good for relaxing after a busy day exploring Moscow.

I called twice they fixed it but it still didn't work property. No coffee pot in room, was told reserved for upgrade room only. Even a 3 star hotel provides a coffee pot.in each room. My worse hotel experience was that the lobby desk refused to transfer calls from my wife from USA to my room. They would not even relay a message to me from my wife. The 1st night in the hotel they did transfer her call to my room. After that they refused because they claimed it was a security issue. Breakfast price was outrageous compared to surrounding hotels. Doormen were extremely courteous and pleasant.

• Verified traveler (8/5): - Small, not very corporate. We had the one room in the hotel with a balcony. Double-edged sword though as it over looks a busker hotspot and the buskers aren't very good. At least closing all the windows blocks out the sound...mostly! Breakfast is in a very nice room and lots to choose from but the hot buffet items are generally quite cold.

The room was not huge, but with high ceilings and classic castle like decorations it looked and felt great.! Well stocked, clean and well maintained. SOME ISSUES: few times the housekeeper was knocking at our door at 8:30 am to get our room cleaned. I feel it’s way too early. She woke us up and I did not like that. THE BIGGER ISSUE: please BE WARNED! We asked if the hotel could get us some tickets for the circus that we really wanted to attend, but unfortunately they don’t accept US cards on the internet and the only other way was to buy from ticket booth in person that wasn’t possible for us. The hotel emailed us that they would be delighted to do that for us and they said that prices range from 1000 to 5000 rubles . I said I don’t mind paying 5000 rubles for the tickets as long as I get the best seats. Hotel promised to buy tickets and said it would be waiting for us at reception and then we just pay the hotel. Upon arrival I was given 2 tickets in the row 8. Was told I need to pay 5000 rubles for each in cash. I was kind of puzzled as to why I’m sitting somewhere in the middle and have to pay VIP price? I went on Circus website and the price for my tickets was 2000 rubles each. NOT 5000!!!!! I was really to pay some service fee for the tickets, but extra 3000 rubles for each ticket on the top of its cost of 2000 rubles seemed excessive. Shame for 5 star hotel

• chun hung (6/5): Special Moscow hotel experience - The third morning of my stay(19 March 2019), I went to reception to ask for how to get to red square. There were two staff there. They told me to turn right and turn right. When I was wanting to know more details, and asked them to show me the way on map. One of them was very impatient and said :"Turn right, and turn right..." Then she started to talk to the other staff in Russian with a not friendly way. I was very angry, and left the hotel. I went out to ask the people on the street. They helped me to find the way to Red Square and Kremlin area. Apart from these impolite staff, the others were nice. Also, the fourth morning of my stay(20 March 2019. Someone was knocking my door in the very early morning(around 5:40am). Even though I complained to reception, I didn't get any feedbacks. As a 5 star hotel, I think the hotel should have coffee or tea maker. Luckily they give me a tea maker when I was asking for it. But when the staff brought the tea maker to my room, I wasn't there, then she just walked into my room without permission. I have stayed at 5 star hotel in many countries, even in St.petersburg. I didn't have these kinds of e,experience. Somehow, the hotel is very close to Kremlin, Bolshoi Theater and Red Square. The money exchange is just in the corner. And the door men of the hotel were very helpful.

• chub (8/5): - I like the location of the hotel,it’s close to the Kremlin 10 minutes walk, close to very good restaurants, the mall is just in front of the hotel ..close to the metro.. close to money exchange.. the only downfall is that it was so close to the street that on sa Saturday night, it was so loud, there was a bar/ karaoke bar and it’s hard to sleep.. but after 11 pm i guess party was already done.. also, the reception area when we came, was very helpful and accommodating.. but when we were already checking out, the receptionist / front desk is not so sure what she is doing.. she told us we were siuppose to pay $280 for our stay while we already paid for it ahead of time, even the front desk receptionist when we arrived told us we were fully paid but I guess there was a mixed up or maybe some kind of language barrier.. we’ll she pulled our account again and said indeed that yes we were right that we were already paid.. hopefully it was just an honest mistake but paying 19,000 rubles is no joke.. everything else is great except for Thai experience

• Colin (10/5): First class, central location - A beautiful hotel in a beautiful city. Coming back to London makes me ashamed to be British, everything in Moscow is so clean and efficient. I thought UK was a wealthy country, why is our capital such a squalid pile of rubbish. And why is everyone in London so stressed you can't move for people getting angry about something. In Moscow everyone is just going about their business peacefully and and nothing is too much trouble

• Sally (10/5): April 2018-4 night stay at the Savoy hotel Moscow - The Hotel Savoy is on a pedestrianised area of Moscow, excellent location within 10 minutes walk of the main attractions, Bolshoi ballet theatre, Red Square, Kremlin, Basel Cathedral and restaurants. The Hotel staff are very professional, attentive and very welcoming, it is a very clean hotel with excellent facilities, swimming pool and gym. We arranged a car to collect and drop us off at the airport, both pickups were on time and although the drivers didn't speak much English they were very professional and polite. We also arranged via the hotel a guide to take us on a Metro tour. The buffet breakfast was excellent value for money, a lot of choice to suit all nationalities and a pianist played a good choice of music during breakfast which was very enjoyable. We had a fantastic experience in Moscow, we have been to many cities but this one positively surpassed our expectations and the staff at the hotel contributed to this being a special memorable holiday.
• Gergely (8/5): Excellent location - great quality - The hotel has an excellent location for discovering Moscow downtown area - just make your room does not look at the Pusechnaya street side as that has 3 clubs on it with loud music till dawn. Staff was really helpfull, trying to do their best - english skills are a bit weak, however still above average. Would definately book it again.
• Oksana (6/5): Overpriced for what it is. Central location - The check in was a bit of a disaster. Arrived to the hotel with only 2 hours to get ready for my meetings to find my bed undone. Called the reception, upgrade or even a room change wasn’t possible so had to wait for two maids to clean my room while I was there.. The staff barely apologized. 2 days later I’ve found a bottle of wine and a fruit basket in my room (although there was a DND sign on the door), which was obviously very nice of them. It used to be a very nice fancy hotel in central Moscow just next to TSUM department store and the Bolshoi Theatre. This time it needs an upgrade and investment into staff training.
• Rhea (10/5): Amazing Hotel in a great location, Wonderful Staff - Me and my partner thought the Savoy Moscow was a beautiful hotel and very reasonable in value. The rooms were spacious and clean and warm for the winter months. The staff were very helpful and friendly. My partner proposed to me and when we arrived back to our room we were greeted with a bottle of complementary wine, chocolate and a note to say congratulations. We highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. The location is excellent for all the tourist attractions and is just a walk away from the red square and bars and restaurants.

• Frank (10/5): The Savoy, delightful hotel in Moscow Center - Our second stay at the Savoy. We enjoy the style and architecture of the rooms and lobby. The location is great, quick walk to Red Square and pedestrian malls nearby with great little restaurants.

Reception staff professional and courteous in helping us with this problem (three days running). Good value for money also. Highly, highly recommended.

• Elizabeth (8/5): - It cannot be denied that the location was superb. We were a stones throw from all points/areas of interest. However, we did wonder why a 5* hotel did not hold the highest rating in terms of feedback from its guest. It would appear that housekeeping maybe a little overwhelmed with their duties and tended to cut corners whenever possible. Our room was also facing the town centre which was extremely noisy (particularly at the weekend) with buskers etc BUT this is to be expected to some degree. Nevertheless, the reception tea were amazing and any issues that we had were smoothed over in no time at all. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, despite the few mishaps that occurred along the way. Knowing that the staff are doing all they can to put things right so that you have an enjoyable stay is enough for us to think about staying at the Savoy again in future.

• Mila (10/5): One of the best in Moscow - This was my third stay. I chose between Savoy and Metropol because the price for a two-room suite which I needed to accommodate two adults and a child above 12 was a much better deal than Metropol could offer. Besides, I like the feel of this hotel, which is small compared to other luxury hotels. The swimming pool is great. From Metropol, I only miss the sauna, which is big there and heated at all times and not just in the morning and in the evening. I highly recommend this Moscow classic.

However, it is not unusual for reception staff in hotels in Moscow staff to speak English. Hotel is in a very nice area. It is on a street with many shops, cafes and live music. Is within walking distance to Red Square. Several Metro stations are close by so there is easy access to anything in Moscow.
• Verified traveler (6/5): Attention to small details, not big. - Overall condition of a 3-4 star. At least my room needed lots of attention. Rooms are not designed with a human in mind. Water tap is not in a middle of a sink but close to the edge. Stone decoration was very good though.
