They did not bother to follow up or help with the booking request that was made way in advance. Even the response to my request was brief without any email etiquette to a loyal guest. The location of the hotel is also very near to the BTS which is a huge plus point, and you can travel easily to the hotel via BTS even if you have many luggages as it is only about a 5 mins walk or less from Siam BTS to the hotel. The hotel is also very near (literally just across the road)to the shopping areas like Siam Square, Siam Paragon, Siam Square 1 just to name a few. Even if you want to go to Central world or Big C, there is a huge sheltered skybridge and is only about a 15 to 20 mins walk depending on your own speed. You will literally feel that you are staying in the shopping area, very convenient. Will definitely choose to stay here again my next trip.

Situated along the busy activities and shopping malls area, while tucked away to the end of the main road allowed for easy access to malls and activities while maintaining some level of quiet. Rooms were adequately sized and clean. Staff were always approachable and friendly. Did not dine in the hotel as there were so many alternate options in the immediate vicinity of the hotel.

- Maulin (6/5): - Room for 4 is not really a room for 4.. They expect the b dnto be shared by 3 people and fourth one couch that serves as a single bed. Elevators took forever, lost most of our time just waiting for elevators. Breakfast is good. Rooms are not a typical Novotel standard.
- Shuet Kwan (8/5): Good downtown Bangkok hotel - The location is great, just cross the street and there are a lot of massage shops, shops and shopping malls. The breakfast is up to standard. Despite the hotel is a bit old but all the service of all staff including front desk and housekeeping are really helpful and nice.

I didn’t want to have to explain that to my children just yet, thanks Novotel. The tiles are the pool were the slipperiest I have ever encountered, my 5 year old daughter took a nasty tumble. This hotel is worse than a $50 a night motel. Don’t be fooled by the fancy lobby, book elsewhere !

- Alice (8/5): - The hotel is right down the heart of Siam Square (located by Siam Square/center point) , you can walk to MBK, Siam paragon, Siam Discovery mall. etc. also near by BTS Siam station. Super convenient and tons of foods and shopping. It’s near Chulakongkorn Uni, so imagine tons of collages kids walking around and it’s there hang out area. It’s cool though like Shibuya in Japan. The hotel itself it’s nice, meet the standard with nice amenities and accommodations (gym, pools, restaurants) great staffs and wonderful customer service. The downside is - again you are right at the HEART of Siam square, there will be a lot of events and concerts down the street. Three out of four nights we stayed there, there were concerts until 10-11 pm. So if you need peace and quiet this is not the place for you. But if you want to experience Bangkok’s city vibes (the clean version) try Novotel Siam Square.

- Kim Heng (8/5): - Booked the suite but felt alittle empty. They could get a refresh on it. I saw my friend’s basic room, it looks better. Some part feels of the hotel feels abit old but the price is fair. Overall I think the location is great! I would book again for convenient sake. It’s really close to the train station as well.

- Calgary (10/5): - Have always stayed here due to the location right in the heart of Siam Square. Everything else is within walking distance like Paragon and MBK. However, do note that because it’s in the heart of Siam Square, getting in and out by car or private hire will take a bit of time.

The best solution the manager could come up with was to send someone to the room to completely remove the minibar and I also couldn't use any room service

Place is conveniently located just opp Siam Paragon, with BTS station that makes it easier to travel. Only one point I hope to see improvement is to have more variety of food for morning breakfast.
- Choon Kah Adrian (8/5): Nice hotel, great location but needs upgrading - The hotel itself is pretty dated but lobby was still in good condition. Customer service is good and staff are very friendly and helpful. And the hotel is in a great location. Here are some negative points 1. All the room doors should be changed or checked. I am staying in room 1414 which is near the corner but I can hear room doors slamming all the time. 2. Buffet needs to be better organised and modernised. The coffee machine is located near the entrance, which means the customers have to walk from one end f the restaurant to the entrance to get coffee. 3. Food is also not warm enough and presentation of food is very dated. Many times when I open the food container, it’s either full of condensation or it’s almost empty. 4. Toaster is surprisingly good. It toasts bread very quickly but I did see some guest putting croissants into the toaster even though there was a clear sign not to do it.

- Terence (10/5): Best place to stay in Bangkok - My usual hotel stay in Bangkok. Due to its location. Walking distance to the train plus all the malls around the hotel makes it a great place to stay in Bangkok. As the traffic condition there is no joke. Another perk they have is the executive room which provide free access to the lounge from 5-7pm with light snakes and free flow of drinks. Breakfast can also be take there every morning. Wonder when will the hotel give me a free upgrade after all the reviews I wrote for them.. 😅

- Veronica (8/5): Good Location - The hotel was in a good location especially for a newcomer to Bangkok with easy access to all the major shopping malls and transport. Whilst I didn't use the pool, it was a great size and easy to reach on the 4th floor. The hotel was of the usual Novotel standard, clean and modern. The bathroom was easy to use and a good shower. I liked that the hotel hair dryer was not attached in the bathroom and could be used in the main room. My only complaint was the pillows were both hard, but I must admit I did not ask for another one which I'm sure they could have accommodated. The only other downside was no chair to sit on to do hair or makeup or to quickly put a shirt on ready to go out. There was plenty of room for a simple chair. It did have a lounge which I enjoyed resting on at the end of the day instead of always having to use the bed. The reception staff and concierge were all very pleasant and helpful. I would definitely stay there again especially if I were travelling alone.

A continued frustration remains that my Accor status does not apply as the booking is through Expedia (despite the reception staff being able to see the details in their records). Another word of caution is that Expedia charges in USD and in my hurry to book, overlooked the fact that I ended up comparing AUD and USD and made the wrong call in the end.

- Verified traveler (4/5): Poor reception and slippery floor - We booked 2 executive rooms with club access under the same hotel confirmation and had put up a request asking for connecting room. Upon arrival, we were told that they are not awared of our request and said that the 2 rooms are booked separately hence they had no info. We are also being told that club access is only given to 1 of the room even though we had paid for it. They only cleared the matter on our 3rd day stay that all of us can access the club lounge. Staff seems to have a poor understanding of their work flow and this affect us. Also the shower floor is very slippery when wet. All of us almost lose balance a couple of times.
