Really comfortable beds
Nice meal in restaurant, All good
- Julie (10/5): -
- Tim (9/5): Very comfortable hotel in an ideal location for our needs - The room was very comfortable and quite large. Tea facilities provided and bottled water. Curtains could have closed more fully to allow less light into the room at night-time.
- Hardy (8/5): Staff without exception were warm, friendly and helpful - Superb breakfast. Very tasty and well presented Required cafetiers but they hadn't got that??? Odd
- Donna (10/5): A lovely hotel and very welcoming. - Ideal position, really good bathroom and very comfortable bed. Staff were fantastic, very polite and genuine. We ate there for breakfast and evening meal as the quality was great, it was easy to book and good portions. We also had a snack in the adjoining french cafe, delicious! Nothing- all good
- catherine (10/5): Delightful - Lovely, quintessentially English small boutique hotel in a prime location. The on-site restaurant is excellent. It's the second time I've stayed here and I will definitely be back. A little bit noisy internally as a result of heavy bedroom doors slamming shut. But I had a good night's sleep in a very comfy bed. Well insulated from external noise.

- Evelyn (10/5): Very relaxing - The property was so clean and very central Can’t think of anything
- Outwithjamie (9/5): - Professional friendly staff, very comfortable and exceptionally clean accommodation, well located.
- Antonia (9/5): Comfortable, safe and great location- a great place to base myself for a short stay in london - Great location and small comfy room. Bed was super comfy for the price. The room was small but felt spacious enough abd the bathroom was spacious avd bright I had an internal room 218 I think that overlooked the extractor fan so that was a bit noisy when I opened the window but good sound proofing when I didn’t.
- Alkhabbaz (3/5): Excellent location , comfortable bed - Location Lack of hospitality, and room with old furniture

- Fraser (9/5): Great except for the room I was given this time (see above) - As above, the staff are friendly and helpful. The location suits me. Breakfasts were good. I did not like my room location. On my previous visit I had a bright sunny room with a lovely view over the square.
So I was very disappointed that on this stay there was no
sunlight, there was an unsightly wall 3m away with windows in (so didn't know who could look into the room) and all the AC/huge tubes/ mechanics for the building straight outside the window as the view.
There was a workman out there with a stepladder one morning; not very nice feeling.
I am actually surprised that this room hasn't been flagged up as sub optimal before.
I really like this hotel so I'll request a room with a view next time....

- Magdalena (7/5): Terrifying Experience – Man Unconscious in Corridor at 4 AM - I liked the location; the hotel is discreet and clean, and the lady at reception was very friendly. I stayed in two rooms: the cosy room that was on the 2nd floor, and it was pretty small but felt absolutely fine. Later, I moved to the 4th floor to the king size room. That was large and comfortable. The stairs and the lift are next to each other.
A rude cleaning woman was in the room when I returned to the hotel. She literally grabbed a small towel I had left by the sink and threw it on the floor in front of me. She was ignoring me when I came into the room. Just rude and untrained in how to behave
I was checking in at 4 am. I was alone in the corridor when, heading towards the lift, I saw a man lying across the corridor. The light to his room was on, and his head was on the doorstep. He was not moving and did not look as if he was breathing. Terrified, I had to walk over him with my suitcase and run downstairs to ask for help. There was no other way to get to the lift or stairs but to walk over this man.
After that, I have decided to never stay at this hotel. No apologies from the hotel or compensation.

- Graeme (8/5): Very good. I would come back. - Very comfortable room. Excellent housekeeping. Helpful staff. Biggest issue was no mini-fridge. Some minor plumbing drainage issues.
- Nick (9/5): -
- Nick (8/5): Lovely location and superb breakfast. - Room was pleasant and very clean. Breakfast variety and quality was exceptional and service in that area exemplary.
Location is perfect with a wide variety of facilities on the doorstep. Overall a very enjoyable stay. Check-in was delayed and some of the room facilities were below those offered by similarly priced alternatives. For example, basic TV without access to subscription services or ability to stream to TV from own devices. Air-con / heating system was a little noisy as well.
- Betty (7/5): We had a good time - Location and staff and food The rooms are too small for travellers with luggage
- gill (8/5): - Beautiful hotel very good value. Lovely receptionist when we arrived. Great room facilities At 10.45pm we asked for a glass of wine. Everything was closed. No bar, no restaurant and not even an offer to take a glass of wine to bed. In the centre of London I would not have expected everything in the hotel to be closed. Just bizarre. Such a shame because the hotel is lovely.
- Fraser (9/5): Perfect location for me. and I have already booked my next stay. - Helpful staff
Good breakfast - and all day cafe
Room service quick and nice food

- Penelope (5/5): Fine for a quick one night b and b - As a past S Place Club member I am familiar with the building and have stayed in the hotel many times. My room recently was ridiculously small for one never mind two. It was necessary to stand on the bed to draw the curtain and one resident would have to climb over the other to get out of bed. It is impossible for anyone overweight. The bed and pillow were excellent. I was unable to use the coffee machine. Am not sure if it would be possible to use the ironing board? Having no lounge seating area is a disadvantage
- Victoria (10/5): -
- Graeme (8/5): Very good. Friendly staff. Good rooms. Comfortable. Excellent housekeeping. - This review is for stays March 18 - 31 room 224 Chelsea King as well as April 2 - 4 room 232. The room sizes and beds were very good. The beds were comfortable. The desk and storage space were adequate. The heating was good. The windows opened easily for fresh air. The shower was excellent. Breakfast was not included but I had several in the restaurant. Outstanding housekeeping. The price is quite good for a hotel in Chelsea. The plumbing gurgles and there is poor drainage (both rooms). The layout of the room 232 the desk and the chair obstruct because of being adjacent to the corner of the bed. I really needed a mini fridge.
- Amal (7/5): - Location They dont change bed sheet if dirty
Only re-arranging
- Enrico (6/5): Adeguato - La posizione è perfetta, la colazione eccezionale La camera in cui ho dormito io, sebbene più grande della media, era molto basica, con mobili vecchi che avrebbero bisogno di essere rimodernati. Pochissime amenities - no ciabattine, vanity set, ecc
- Guest (10/5): -

- Nicolas (9/5): Perfect - will be staying again - Location/ facilities/look & feel N/A
- Espeset (10/5): -
- steveinskip (9/5): Very comfortable and relaxing. Great location and superb staff. - Great location for the west end, museums etc. public transport is brilliant, 15 minute bus ride to South Kensington from just outside and you can walk to Kensington High Street in 20 minutes. The hotel is reasonably priced (for Chelsea). breakfast is very good and plentiful. great local shops, and pubs and restaurants in short walking distance. superb bathroom. the standard rooms could be described as 'compact and bijou', but really there's nothing to dislike about this place. have stayed previously and will do again when i need to be in the area. restaurant no longer serves food all day but there is a cafe opening soon within the hotel (otherwise it would be a 10).
- Arabella (10/5): A perfect sleepover in Chelsea - It was just wonderful. The staff were so friendly, the room was exceptionally comfortable and felt like a lovely luxury bedroom rather than a hotel room. The bathroom was a little small but nothing to really complain about.
- Elizabeth & Colette (10/5): -
- SILVIA (10/5): Hotel pequeño y muy cuidado - Esta en una zona muy buena y era parte del Sloane Club. A mi me ha gustado.
- Wendy (10/5): Great place to stay and would definitely book again. - Lovely location and very good/quiet nights sleep.
- Ramsey (10/5): -
- Roberto (9/5): -
- Hamda (3/5): - I had a very disappointing experience at this hotel. They charged me claiming the fire alarm went off because of “incense,” even though I wasn’t burning anything and no alarm actually sounded. As Arabs, many of our perfumes have oud-based scents, but they used this as an excuse to take money.
What made it worse is that housekeeping suddenly entered my room while I was changing, which is completely unacceptable and against hotel policy.
Anyone planning to stay here should be aware and expect these kinds of issues — the hotel was unprofessional and felt exploitative.
- O’Connor (8/5): -
- Salvino (8/5): Everything was great. Will come back. - Convenient location a few minute-walk from Sloane Square. Very kind staff. Cozy place. Good breakfast. Fair price for this level in Chelsea.
- Andrea (8/5): -
- Talib (2/5): Very bad experience - In Chelsea Not good value for money. Rated 4 stars but I will rated 2 stars. Room very small. Area to hang clothes very small. TV you have to watch side way. Floor badly stained. Curtains very thin and transparent. Sun light pass through the room at 6am in the morning. Room service do not answer even after leaving 2 messages.
Can not get WiFi because it wouldn’t accept my email.
I went the reception they couldn’t help. I will never comeback to this hotel. I think they should refund my money as I suffered and had extremely bad night.

- Bruce (8/5): Comfortable, quiet, conveniently located - Conveniently located within a short walk of Sloan Square underground. Breakfast and service were good. I had a room on the top floor under the roof so that the ceiling was a bit low for a tall person.
- Sue (9/5): It was hard to fault it -
- frederic (4/5): -
- Maria Cristina (9/5): -
- Jade (7/5): The hotel was fit for purpose but no facilities - Great location for my needs The bed and pillows were uncomfortable
- B Burdett (8/5): - Great location, clean bathroom and friendly staff. Rooms smaller than expected
- Carsten (7/5): Wir würden dieses Haus immer wieder wählen. - Die Lage ist sehr schön. Guter Ausgangspunkt. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut. Sehr sauber. Freundliches Personal.
- Dermot (6/5): Satisfactory but will probably look for more ground floor lounge space next time - Very central
Nice cafe
Friendly staff
Good shower
Good bed After 3.00 pm asked to leave cafe and therefore nowhere to lounge or write emails or read a book other than your bedroom.
- Luke (8/5): Great stay …but open the bar ! - Great location, warm welcome, great service. Breakfast was great. Really disappointed that the bar was closed from 15:00 ….so check-in ….and then no opportunity to unwind at your hotel. Understand seasonality and costs; but this wasn’t clear on booking and the price point befits a bar which is open.

- Devlyn (10/5): One of the best hotel experiences I've had in recent years. 10/10, would recommend. - Sloane Place is an exceptional hotel. This is my first time staying there, and I was so impressed with the facility and staff that Sloane Place will now be my go-to accommodation for my future travel to London.
When I first chose Sloane Place, I wasn't sure what to expect. The photos looked good, the reviews (particularly around the staff) were positive, and the price for the location seemed fair. With these positive indicators, I decided to give it a shot. I'm happy to report that I have no regrets.
The staff are indeed wonderfully helpful. I dealt mostly with Timothy and he was incredibly helpful in arranging cabs, answering my questions, and extending my stay after my flight was cancelled due to bad weather. Another great feature is the 24hr room service. The dining room keeps traditional hours, but the convenient room service means that you can stay out longer and not worry about finding food before going to bed.
The cleanliness is unmatched for a hotel at this price. I travel for work around 2/3 of the year, so I stay in a lot of hotels. I've developed a routine that, before I unpack, I conduct a quick sweep of the room to ensure there aren't any little unexpected guests. I've become accustomed to finding the crumbs, hairs, and sometimes loose change left by other guests. Upon my search at Sloane Place, I was extremely pleased to find nothing. And by that, I mean, under and around the mattress - not a single hair. Between the seat cushions of the other furniture - not a single crumb. The drawers, bedroom mouldings, and bathroom were equally spotless. Sloane Place, please give your cleaning team a raise. They clean at a level that I've only found at Mandarin-Orientals and Ritz-Carltons. It far exceeds most of the premium brands at Marriott, Hilton, and IHG. I was staying at one of the InterContinental hotels in Japan last month (and no offence to their staff), but I found the hotel room cleaning was better at Sloane Place. I ran out of space in the positive section, so I'll continue my review here. Sloane Place, if you're reading this, TLDR: keep up the high standard of cleanliness. Its a little thing that makes you stand out from your peers.
The food was great and fairly priced for the location. The wi-fi and A/C were also sufficient for the price point.
Areas for improvement.
The adjoining members' club has a gym and spa. It would elevate the guest experience if hotel guests had some access to the amenities, even if they had to book the space to ensure hotel guests didn't overpopulate the limited amenities.
Finally, **for future guests**, the hallways and rooms are older. I estimate that the last updates were 20 or more years ago (except for the bathrooms, where it looks like they've been renovated in the last 5 years). Just be aware that the decor is older but well-maintained. Sloane Place doesn't have many amenities, but it makes up for that with terrific staff, cleanliness, and great food and ambience in their dining room. In addition, the rooms could be considered small. I was in a Chelsea King, and even as a solo traveller with one checked bag and one carry-on, there wasn't a lot of extra room. I'd recommend Sloane Place for solo travellers, business travellers, and couples. Families certainly could stay there, with calmer, mature kids.
