- Meander20557834991 (4/5): The making of a good hotel but not there yet - The beds were comfortable and the aircon effective (when there was electricity) but that is where the positives end. We experienced 2 power and water outages - 1 for 7 hours and 1 we woke up to no power or water (on the day we were leaving so were very lucky we had charge on our phones to wake us up in time to check out early). Though this was not the hotel’s fault (the area had lost power and water) the hotel staff were unsympathetic and did not provide water until we demanded it and were unable to provide hand sanitiser. This is a family run hotel so expect to find toy cars at the bottom of the stairs case and cots dotted along the hallways. The access to the beach is good but the sun loungers are expensive (beach front was 1500 LEK and second row 1000 LEK). There is a lot of hospitality training needed, with a stock of water and hand sanitiser needed for back up. Bring your power bank if you need plan on staying.
- Janeisy (10/5): - We recently had the pleasure of staying at the Alban Eco Hotel and it truly exceeded our expectations. Tucked away in this picturesque coastal village, the hotel offers a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere that made us feel at home from the moment we arrived.
The property itself is quaint and beautifully maintained, with tasteful décor and a cozy vibe that reflects the warmth of the family who runs it. Every morning started off perfectly with a delicious continental breakfast, featuring fresh local ingredients, served with a smile.
What truly set our stay apart was the incredible hospitality of the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and genuinely cared about making our visit comfortable and enjoyable. Whether offering recommendations or simply checking in, their kindness left a lasting impression.
The location is unbeatable—just a short walk to the beach with easy access to crystal-clear waters and stunning views. It’s the perfect spot for a relaxing getaway without the crowds.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and left feeling refreshed and grateful. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Dhërmi, and we hope to return someday to experience it all over again.

- Severin (10/5): - Gartenanlage ungepflegt. Übler Geruch (Kanalisation) im Badezimmer. Aufenthalt 1 Nacht, am Abend konnte das Bad nicht benutzt werden.
- 21felipem (2/5): I was robbed at this hotel. Stay away - I was basically robbed at this hotel. Stayed for one night and decided to have lunch at the hotel's restaurant. The worst decision of my life.
The guy who is supposed to be the manager, came to us and informed the did not have a menu, but were serving food as normal.
We were offered and option of pasta or fish. We went for the grilled fish....and my mistake was not asking for the price. Since we've been in Albania for 4 days already and we had tried all the most well reviewed restaurants in Sarande, we imagined that the price of a grilled fish would no be different from all the other. Something around 900 leke to 1900 leke for a 1kg grilled seabass.
But at this hotel, they charged us 6000leke (60 euros) for a single Seabass split in half. ONE SEABASS SPLIT IN TWO FOR ME AND MY WIFE, 60 EUROS.
A TOTAL OF 98 EUROS FOR THE FISH, 2 BEERS AND A SMALL BOTTLE OF WINE.
When I questioned the manager, he said it was the price for a "special" seabass.
I had to pay since I did not ask for the price beforehand,but I just wanted everyone to know and be aware of that kind of scam.
Apart from that, the hotel seemed to be closed, all the day beds at the beach were turned off, the breakfast was not served, we had to look for someone to serve something for us and we didn't have any options. Just bread, eggs, and butter, with water....
Stay away from this thieves.
I will add the picture of the receipt so you can have your conclusion.
- Ilir (10/5): - room was spacious,modern design very clean. High ceiling provided safe refrigerator central air.
- rolfn262 (10/5): Very nice hotel in stunning location next to the beach! Recomennded - If you are in the area, make sure to stay at the Hildon Eco Hotel. Great location next to the beach. The owner is very caring and welcoming. Was there in september of 2021, just before they were closing for the season so most of the hotels around were already closed, same with the resturants. Make sure you go there with a car, free parking is available. We had dinner there twice, and both the fish and meat was amazing. Drinks were good too. Rooms are clean, and the hotel has a nice view of the ocean. The wifi is a bit weak on the second floor. We were the last guests of the season so the big beach bar was closed but if I had the chance I would come back in the future. Make sure to try the paragliding that is in the area!
- Abdullah (2/5): Lack of professionalism and poor service - This hotel they do not understand the meaning of hospitality and they do not respect the mentality of their guests. The owner just gave me execuses for so many issues they have. For example they serve a french fries and they do not have a Ketchup because as he said it is the end of the season. They served me coffee with half straw to stir up my coffee instean of spoon, what kind of a 4 star hotel is this. Also, If I need any thing they do not serve it to my room because the owner said it is the end of the season and he has no staff!! Then why would he accept to receive hotel guests if he is not prepared for giving a 4 star service. Also, The tv was not working. Last day during my breakfast they were late 20 mins to provide the american coffee because he said they need to bring the coffee machine from the beach bar!!
It was really unbearable to hear invalid execuses.When I told the owner am not happy am not satified he showed lack of respect and a very bad attitude by raising his voice and he told me do not ever come to my hotel again and one of his guys told me to shut up. It is my first case in my whole life a round the world. In addition, there was a lot of garbage and dirt inside the hotel property and that's why there were so many flies-attached photos. The owner is a narrow minded because he did not like me complaining about so many issues in the hotel and he was expecting me to be silent about their huge management mistakes and lack of professionalism.
- UH1408 (4/5): Definitely NOT worth 120€/ night - Let’s start with the positive side of things. The rooms of the hotel are clean, stuffed on a basic level and the water at the beach is crystal clear.
For a hotel which charges 120€ I would say it’s the absolute minimum I would expect. Here now the reason why it’s definitely NOT worth to visit this hotel again.
WIFI - no WIFI Signal in the rooms
BREAKFAST - Breakfast starts earliest 8am. We learned at our first breakfast that coffee is not included in the room price. Quality of breakfast is very basic. Watermelons are the only fruits, no scrambled eggs only boiled eggs, one sort of bread. If I would be in a 60-70€ hotel it would be okay but not for this room fee.
BEACH BAR - no cocktails are served as no barkeeper is available. Instead they open a tin I can buy in the supermarket, pour it in a class with ice and charge three times the price of the supermarket price of the same drink.
STUFF - the stuff is friendly when the reception is stuffed.
BEACH - Even as hotel guest I have to pay additional 15€ if I want to lay in the first row.
ENVIRONMENT - you might see in the internet beautiful pictures of entrance, the beach bar and the garden of the restaurant. There’s clearly a second reality to these pictures, the hotel is not at a built road, the neighborhood is filled with disgusting smelling trash and the garden of the hotel looks only beautiful if you look at it from specific angles.
Overall the hotel is not worth the 120€/night. Unless you’re only interested in crystal blue water I would not recommend this hotel.
- Jens (8/5): - Lyst og venligt værelse med udsigt til havet
Meget venlig og hjælpsom personale
Ikke daglig rengøring på værelse
Super morgenmad
- JimJonesO (6/5): Poor service!!! - Hildon feels like an unfinished hotel!
Our room was very bare with no artwork of any kind. It felt very strange and it wasn’t the cleanest room we had in this trip. Taking a shower is a nuisance since you get a huge puddle of water outside of the shower area even with the door closed.
Breakfast consisted of a couple of options of fruit, jam, stale bread, sausage and precooked eggs. It was not a very appetizing breakfast.
Every interaction with the reception staff was lacking since there was no greeting of any kind which is very unusual for Albania. Even at checkout there was no greeting or any niceties exchanged.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Best location and dining in Himare! The hotel has a lovely esthetic.
- pabloe812 (6/5): Not worth the high price. Good rooms, but really poor service. - Overall: The rooms and the entire hotel are spotless clean, modern and spacious. The beach is good, despite the loud music. On the other side the staff is untrained and has zero understanding of what it means to work in a hotel that charges 150€ per night. The hotel would be easy to fix, but most of all it would be required to put an experienced management in place. Hence, overall, not worth the high price tag.
Rooms and premise: let's start with the positive side. The rooms are really modern and nice. Someone invested a lot of money into this brand new hotel and the architect had good taste. There were a few things that weren't really thought through (e.g. there were no lounge chairs outside that really invited to stay, just two right at the reception inside. What about if I wanted to read in the shade? There wasn't anything for that. Please just put a nice seating furniture right outside of the reception and another one inside above the reception on the second floor.
Beach: the beach is very nice. The water is crystal clear and translucent blue/turquoise. There were very few guests so there's sufficient privacy. The beach loungers were very comfortable. The only point I didn't like is that the larger beach beds were not included for hotel guests and they wanted to charge 30€ extra for that which was outrageous. But the beach overall was a great experience (assuming you like pebble beaches which are the norm at the Balkan). The music could be better, though, and was too loud. It would be better if they would differentiate themselves to other places and not play 24/7 the same loud electro music as all the other beach clubs on that beach.
What was very strange was, however, that they always seemed surprised by our question about beach towels in the morning and apologized that they had run out (it's a beach hotel, for **** sake!). And it didn't happen once but on all of our 3 days. Sorry, that's not ok.
Service: That was the big downer. There was no senior management (and if there was it clearly wasn't very experienced in leading a hotel). The reception was often not staffed, the beach staff did not help with the loungers (expect to point out that the bigger ones cost extra) and overall hardly any question we had could be answered. And since the hotel had so few guests and the staff had nothing to do, most of the time they gathered together and smoked in front of the hotel. It seemed as if none of the staff had ever worked in a hotel or restaurant. I had heard that getting experienced staff was an issue in Albania, however, having experienced other hotels of even lower price category I can assure that is just a lazy excuse.
Restaurant: "Rip off" is what describes this restaurant best. They charge about twice the price of other restaurants in the village, but at a lower quality. You won't be surprised that the restaurant is always empty. The one time I ate there, I really felt pity for the staff that clearly had nothing to do the entire day. But the quality of the food and ingredients clearly didn't fit the price tag. Example: The olive oil is of a very cheap brand, and the salt is served in a really low quality plastic container. Notably the latter was puzzling for me since even mid-tier restaurants in Albania serve uniformly the rose "Himalaya salt" together with toasted bread. Better go to "FISHOP" for a much (!) higher quality at a lower price.
Breakfast: breakfast was ok (nothing special, though. We had similar breakfasts in hotels that cost 30€ per night). Disappointingly they only start serving at 8am, and are often even late for that. That's not helpful if you want to start the day early. What was funny, however, was to see that the only time the breakfast buffet was really extensive was the day when they had a professional photographer taking pictures for their website. Other than on that day we never had pineapple or figs.
Internet: strong in the reception area, strong but only functioning 50% of the time at the beach and no internet at all in our room. When we complained that we didn't have internet in our room the receptionist just explained us that the reach isn't long enough. Ok, but then fix that! In the year 2019 there cannot be an excuse for not having strong internet, especially if you're charging €150+ room rates.
Final words: Sorry, the current concept of the hotel (which is high prices, with low service) isn't working. I give them one year until they either change the management or sell the hotel to a more capable owner.
- Albaniantours (10/5): First eco hotel - If you want to have perfect holidays just choose this hotel. Perfect location, bio food spacy rooms! Staff was very helpful and everything was clean! An eco hotel is very comfortable and healthy especially if you have kids! Next summer I will be back for sure! Worth it!High recommanded🤩🤩
- dmagab (6/5): Disappointing! - We stayed 5 nights in August 2018. Great location by the beach. Modern room; clean and quiet; enough space for clothes, luggage, etc. Balcony and sea view. Friendly staff.
However, many negative points for a hotel of this standard:
- Misleading information on the website: rooms are smaller than shown on the pictures; no armchair, no chair in the room (those on the pictures are actually in the lobby); free parking in the street but not private; all rooms face the sea but it doesn't mean that they have a sea view (trees); 6 rooms out of 15 are on the ground floor, dark and without any view; balcony shown on pictures applies only for 3 rooms out of 15, other rooms have smaller balconies;
- Missing equipment (by choice or lack of money?): no chair for the desk; no bedside lamps;
- Several mornings without warm water in the shower; - Slow Internet connection, bad WiFi coverage;
- Breakfast supposed to be served until 10:30am but when we arrived at 10am, very limited choice, big mess on the tables, and overwhelmed waiter;
- Very loud music all day on the private beach of the hotel; the staff didn't want to switch it off/lower it; we had to go to another private beach (and pay for it!) to be in a quiet area;
- The hotel tap water is not drinkable, they don't provide any bottle of water in the room, and they charge 100 leke per small bottle (twice the price that you'd pay in any café in Albania!); also, espresso is not included in the buffet breakfast. For both water and coffee, the staff didn't inform us that it was not included in the room price; we discovered it when we checked out!
- tiboo2018 (10/5): Vacantion - Amazing place, amazing Hotel, amazing see, amazing hospitality, amazing food. Quit, professional. Everything is beauty, the mountain and the see together in paradise. Sun and fresh drink, see food and exelent local yogurt.
- LuliB1987 (10/5): Weekends - The best hotel for the moment in drimadhes. The staff was friendly helpful and professional. Will be there again and again . The rooms were clean and comfortable. The best view from my room. They let us use the room even after we did the check out .
- 115diederikh (8/5): Very nice facility - Very nice rooms and facilities, we look forward to returning!
The owners are great as well as the food. The facility is located close to the beach and pool was perfect!
4 instead of 5 stars: coffee not included at breakfast, insane policy considering we paid EUR 125 per night for a duplex 5p apartment.
- Leeseal (2/5): Faulty towers - Bad service, no pool stairs, rooms smells of damp. Room doors frosted glass so light comes through. Expensive €50 a night breakfast not cooked raw egg lots of cars parked from there friends so getting out hard work.
- TonyTiger66 (8/5): Dhermi - a pearl - This Hotel has got great potential, wonderful area around the pool and reception.
The room, pretty nice but the personal must shape up..
If you come by Taxi, don't forget to use a local driver every day otherwise the staff will try to help you and that Is catastrofy..
- Leeseal (4/5): Faulty towers - Pool shallow, no stairs to get and out of it.
Service bad, breakfast terrible €50 euros a night not worth it. Room smelled of damp
Parking bad not enough room, downstairs rooms under the duplex had a glass front door which let all the light in from stairs to other guest.
