Staff friendly. - Location and functional As a lone female I wouldn’t have expected to be given a room in the basement at the front of the hotel that could be accessed from the main road. However hotel did swap the room when I complained but it shouldn’t have been allocated in the first place.

• Gabriele (8/5): Great location, pros and cons of an historical building and bathroom shelves headbutting - The location was perfect for our stay in Kensington, at a very short walk from the underground station and 15 minute away (walking) from the Royal Albert Hall and Kensington Park. The room was stylish and, as they offered us a free upgrade (thank you!), we could enjoy a terrace - quite a rarity in a London's hotel. By the way, the hotel is at one end of a big historical building shared by other hotel chains like Hilton, so we also enjoyed the charm of such a beautiful building. It's an old building, which means screechy floors and ceilings and incredibly difficult to get oriented into it. It was literally a maze. Amazing! :-) It didn't bother us too much in the end, but we stayed only one night. Finally, I have a lot of respect of how hotel designers are able to carve out spaces in rooms. However, this one exceeded a little bit too much in squeezing the sink into a small space, so it was almost impossible to have a face wash without bumping the head against the bathroom shelf. Once more, tolerable for a one-night stay...

L’acqua, aromatizzata alla mente, sempre a disposizione, molto apprezzata. Hotel assolutamente consigliato! La stanza era troppo minimal e particolarmente stretta, manca un armadio ma soprattutto manca un mobile d’appoggio…in realtà non c’era nella nostra stanza neanche il frigo. Colazione eccessivamente cara, ovviamente, se non è inclusa, si può scegliere di restare in Hotel e pagare al momento. Per chi si accontenta di cornetto e cappuccino, la zona offre valide alternative! Abbiamo scelto, il secondo giorno, di fare colazione accanto all’ingresso della metro, pagando meno della metà!

Tornerei senz'altro... Receptionist essential; poca cordialità, poca disponibilità nel venirci incontro con la lingua italiana. Purtroppo non tutti parliamo inglese!

• Antonios (5/5): Ridiculously overpriced tiny rooms at an excellent location - I liked the location, it was also renovated and looked nice and the stuff were quite pleasant. We could check in a bit earlier and it is nice that you cna check out at noon. Super expensive for the size of the room. Barely any space to go around in the room, no wardrobe, no table, no extra chair (just a dresser and stool), for the ridiculous price of 300euros per night for a double. Not sure if I should cry for my money, or laugh for them thinking this is worth that much. The breakfast was at -1 level and, despite the abundance of food, quite mediocre, long waiting (understuffed) with not so fresh foods.

• Jessica (3/5): - Due to a system glitch, my booking went through twice, and I am yet to receive a refund for the duplicate. Seem to get a different story/instructions every time I speak to someone, as if they just want you to go away. Booking.com on the other hand have been very helpful, but are still waiting for confirmation from the hotel that they can issue the refund, the first request for which was declined. Please contact Booking.com and tell them they can refund me. You told us on the day you were grateful for the extra room as you didn't have enough.

For getting there direct from Heathrow. 2. Access to 3 underground lines. The front steps are a quite high for getting in and out of the building.

• Peter (10/5): Location Is Everything - This hotel is perfectly located to access Central London and Heathrow, with major attractions (museums, parks) within easy walking distance) and transport (train stations, bus stops) just outside the door. Staff are friendly and helpful, the breakfast excellent. Rooms are compact, tidy and comfortable.

Complementary water was nice touch. The buffet breakfast exceeded my expectation and great coffee. I tried to order a pizza using a QR card in the room but it didn't work. • Sarah (7/5): Excellent location - Location excellent. Breakfast was good. We asked for scrambled egg and that was provided for us. A wide variety of other breakfast goodies We weren't put near each other as requested. I was placed on level five and my friend on two. Rather a lot of steps. Not great for two pensioners. Entrance didn't seem disabled friendly. Would have been sensible to put us on the ground floor. One of two things in the hotel needed refurbishment - bathroom.
• JoergKL (9/5): Eine Empfehlung für einen Städtetrip! - Die Zimmer sind Ibis typisch zweckmäßig eingerichtet, aber in diesem Fall, für Londoner Verhältnisse, recht groß (Nr.114). Obwohl zur Hauptstraße gelegen gut gedämmt. Betten mit straffer Matratze, aber bequem. Bad groß genug und sauber. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück ist sehr gut mit ausreichender Auswahl und auf Wunsch mit frisch zubereiteten Eiern (besonderen Dank an Elena) sehr aufmerksames Personal. Lage in der Nähe der U-Bahn und mit Bushaltestelle direkt vor der Tür. Fahrzeit bis Heathrow ca. 39 Min. (Tube). An unserem Abreisetag war die U-Bahn ausgefallen und uns wurde an der Rezeption umfassend geholfen um den Flug rechtzeitig zu erreichen. Zu wenig Schrank/Ablagefläche, ist aber Ibis typisch.

The room was a bit small, and it was a little disappointing that there was no refrigerator. However, the staff were cheerful, friendly, and always greeted us with a smile, which made our stay in London truly wonderful. I would especially like to thank Asmeret, Elena, and all the other staff members for their kindness.

Camera accogliente con letto comodissimo (con topper e materasso super confortevole) e vista sul giardino posteriore, nessun rumore e tranquillità assoluta. Molto pulita! Bagno pulito e spazioso. WI-FI gratis e perfettamente funzionante. Peccato non si potessero aprire le finestre! La moquette seppur pulita può essere un problema per gli allergici (un pò di polvere di troppo in effetti c'era)

Wenn man Kompromisse hinsichtlich des Platzangebots eingeht, - Super Ausgangslage für Ausflüge, komfortable Anbindung zum Flughafen Heathrow. Die U-Bahn Station mit drei zentralen Linien (Piccadilly, Circle und District Line) ist keine 5 Gehminuten entfernt. Die Bushaltestelle befindet sich direkt vorm Eingang, man erreicht mit dem Bus in wenigen Minuten die umliegenden Museen, das Harrods oder den Hyde Park. Rund ums Hotel gibt es ausreichend Supermärkte, (Schnell-)Restaurants, Starbucks und Pubs. Sehr nettes Personal an der Rezeption und im Frühstücksraum, gutes kontinentales Frühstück mit genug Auswahl für jeden Geschmack. Die Zimmer sind modern eingerichtet, es gibt bequeme Betten und alles wurde täglich sauber gemacht. Ebenso wurden die Handtücher jeden Tag automatisch gewechselt und es gab immer eine kostenlose große Flasche Wasser sowie verschiedene Tees, die mit einem Wasserkocher zubereitet werden konnten. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte tadellos, auch wenn sie nicht geräuschlos war. Das Underground-Design ist richtig cool. Es war auch sehr ruhig im Hotel, was ich sehr geschätzt habe. Obwohl mein Zimmer Richtung Hauptstraße lag, habe ich den Lärm draußen kaum wahrgenommen (wahrscheinlich aufgrund des 5. Stockwerks). Das Standard Doppelzimmer war für mich als Alleinreisende absolut ausreichend, aber für zwei Personen wäre es definitiv zu klein gewesen. Mein Zimmer war im obersten 5. Stockwerk (der Aufzug geht nur bis zum 4.!), ich hätte nicht gewusst, wo man einen zweiten mittelgroßen Koffer hätte platzieren sollen. Der Einstieg ins Bett war wegen der Dachschräge nur von einer Seite problemlos möglich. Das Zimmer hatte zudem nur ein kleines Dachlukenfenster, das nur wenig Tageslicht hineinließ und sich nur schwer öffnen und schließen ließ. Auch fehlten mir im Bad mehr Ablagemöglichkeiten (z.B. für den Kulturbeutel) und ich habe auch eine normale Steckdose dort vermisst (es gab nur eine spezielle für Rasierapparate). Beim Frühstück wäre ein typisches English breakfast schön gewesen (war für mich aber kein Muss).

• Petra (9/5): Great weekend stay! Very friendly staff. - Easy late check-in, perfect and unproblematic to reach from Heathrow Airport. Easy to choose to have spontaneous breakfast added. Room to interior courtyard so no street noise. Fab! The floorboards are very squeaky and even those from other rooms can be heard rather loudly. Not recommended for light sleepers. Would also generally recommend at least a small shelf in the bathroom to be added - basically no storage space with double occupancy.

• Anne (9/5): Good location. Pleasant staff - Twin rooms are more spacious than double rooms. All rooms are small but location is fantastic.

• Sarah (9/5): - Great location We had to change rooms due to noisy vent, however staff were very helpful and moved us to an excellent, much quieter room, so next time request room veranda that backs on to the garden, lovely quiet large room
• Ana Patrícia Lourenço (8/5): - Pequeno-almoço bom, com alguma variedade e qualidade. Camas bem confortáveis. Localização muito boa, com o metro a 5 minutos. Bairro sossegado. Quarto pequeno, sem espaço para 2 pessoas e 2 malas.
