Finally, the place itself is nice, but located in a horrible corner of LA, with homeless people camping on the corner, Sunday night on my way to the rooftop I saw a homeless guy who got inside and was doing drugs. Place not worth it, get a 4 star hotels for the same money.

- Verified traveler (6/5): Only if you're on a tight budget - The selling point for abode is its relatively low price for the area, but it makes up for that with a real pain in the butt check-in (plan for it to take multiple days of back-and-forth emails and for the website to be glitchy) and a less safe stay. There is no on-site concierge, and we were frequently tailed or blocked from entering by homeless folks on the street. Our final morning, we walked out the front door to a pile of feces. The interior of the apartment was overall acceptable and sanitary, but run down. The washer was moldy, the dryer was broken, most of the electrical outlets didn't work, the bedroom slider door was off its tracks so it couldn't close, and the sleeper sofa was so scratched up that you couldn't sit on it without acquiring little shards of black pleather. The kitchen and bathroom were updated, however, and easy to use. If given a do-over for this business trip, I'd have gone with one of the more expensive area hotels or cabbed in from something farther away.

- Kirstie (10/5): - The check in process was very easy . It was quiet and enough space for my family of 5 . Upon arrival my son was going to sleep on the sofa bed but it was broken so he ended up just sleeping on the couch . The second room had curtains to block everyone out one of the curtains was hanging out of the ceiling. The shower only had one shower door which wasn’t terrible as it was a waterfall shower but still awkward. There were a lot of nice little shops and places to eat in walking distance. The apartment building was very quiet and we loved the rooftop area to wind down after a long day of universal studios and exploring the area. I loved that the apartment was fully furnished so we were able to feel at home. We have already decided when we come back to LA we will be booking again! I highly recommend this place for next vacation stay.

- Erlinda (8/5): Great place, but parking was a nightmare - We had a wonderful stay. The accommodations were as described and very lovely. The building was quiet, in fact we rarely ever heard the other tenants in the building. I have no fault with the apartment at all. But I would caution anyone thinking of staying here about the street noise and parking situation. This building is located in downtown LA, which is a convenient location. However, the area can be quite active and noisy, even late into the evening and early morning. If you are a might sleeper then this might not be a great place for you. If worked out fine for us as we all quickly feel back to sleep after each disturbance. The real headache for us was the parking. Our options were to park in the street, at metered spots, which were scarce or to pay to park on a lot, but the issue here was none offered overnight parking. Abode directs you to an app that is supposed to give parking help, but it's pretty much useless as many of the locations only offered an address but no way to ask about overnight accommodations. The prices listed on the app were often, if not always, incorrect. This is a great place to stay, but think twice if you have it rent a car. Nearby hotels did offer parking and those might be a better option. I was traveling with family that included children, so the two bedrooms and kitchen was perfect for us. The only negative was hunting for parking each day. We were a group of women so at night we felt a little but unsafe walking back to the apartment at nigh.

- Mohammed Ismail Manzur Al (8/5): Decent stay in Downtown LA - Decent place to stay near Downtown LA. The house was good with a complete self check in process. The instructions were clear, but it's important to provide the identity information ahead of your stay to ensure a smooth check in. The house was very clean however the place had a strange smell(possibly from the cleaning liquids used by the cleaners) which went away the 2nd day onwards.
- Dadisi (2/5): Worst Experience Ever! - Hello, This is the message I sent directly to Abode. "I'd love to say my stay was pleasurable but unfortunately, it wasn't. I spent a lot of money for a week-long stay which was uncomfortable, to say the least. Here is a list of issues my wife and I had during our stay: I'll start with the entire process of arranging my stay. I've been a LONG-TIME user of Hotels.com and never in the years I've used that service have I had some much intrusive information asked of me for a short-term rental. The amount of information you requested of me was completely unnecessary for a rental property I paid for in advance along with some other asinine fees you asked of me. The parking situation was untenable. As a property management company, one would reasonably think that you would at least make arrangements for your customers to have access to inexpensive in and out parking considering there's a parking lot right next to this building. Having to continuously move my car and find new parking spaces multiple times per day didn't make my experience a good one. And while I understand you don't control the public parking situation; you do have the ability to make arrangements for parking for your customers with private lots. I sent a message during my stay about the broken couch which was so uncomfortable to sit on or use at all. Although I did receive a response nothing was done about it nor was any refund or discount offered for this inconvenience." There was more but it won't fit

- Svein (10/5): Good place for a good price. - Stor og fin leilighet med god beliggenhet sentralt DTLA. To dobbeltsenger i separate «rom» og fult utstyrt kjøkken. Fikk tilsendt kode til leilighet rett før og god kommunikasjon med utleier. Vi benyttet oss av gateparkering rett utenfor leiligheten og parkeringshus i neste block. Merk at DTLA er mer slitent enn før.

- Simona (8/5): - The space is very nice, well furnished (maybe some side lamps should be helpful and pleasant, especially if you wake up at night and have to move in the bedroom ) , it offers privacy for everyone and the kitchen provides everything you need. We found some problems in dialing our code for entering the house at our arrival, but the staff by phone was very helpful and ready to solve the problem. Unfortunately the dialer was out of charge and in a few days we had problems again, but they solved the problem in a few hours. The shower was a little bit tricky in its functions , it should be updated. The neighbourhood isn't so safe and clean , but this issue regards all downtown, I suppose... But in any case, we enjoyed our stay.

- Zlata (6/5): too complicated and stressful - The check in process was very very stressful as I had to provide information at the last minute. I felt life i was treated as a potential suspect. I had to fill out all bunch of forms, send a copy of my credit card, send a copy of my driver license and picture of my HOLDING my driver license. I had to call them management team many times to get everything correctly and they charged me extra $60 for a quest who was visiting us during the day.

Had trouble finding it from the outside as it looked like the front door was for some place else or the bldg was nonexistent. Walked by the door multiple times before finding it.

- Jeffrey (10/5): Hidden Gem if you don't mind a little grittiness - I love this place. I feel like it is a hidden gem in downtown LA. I frankly was hesitant to give it a rave review because I want it to be available every time I go to LA but I have to give credit where it's due. If you don't mind a little grit- it can get sketchy at night and the alley behind the building can get a little spicy. However, the apartment itself, the rooftop and the amenities downtown are all worth it. The parking attendant next door, Cliff, is also one of the coolest humans you'll meet.
- CYN (10/5): - Overall, my stay was really pleasant! It was close to the crypto stadium like it said on the listing (I had attended a concert). The hosts were really nice and accommodating, always checking in on me! I really appreciated it a lot! They had everything ready for me and my guests. I was a bit sketchy at first after reading reviews because they do ask for your ID and your cards. But I realized that they’re their own thing and not really associated with Expedia (in case of any damages). This is an apartment, not a hotel, by the way. I guess the only con for me would be the parking situation. There’s no parking on the premises but there were parking lots around the area. The hosts were nice enough to send me a link to find parking near the area, greatly appreciated! I would come back here again!

The building is full of graffiti, broken windows, place is not safe, smells bad, and you might get robbed when getting there. Still waiting for my refund as I did not stay there. Despite having a really good response time to emails, any issues cannot be handled right away if at all. There is no person on site to help. Heads up, you will be locked out if not completely out by your checkout time.

- Brianna (4/5): Meisleading pictures and too much information - The place itself looks as pictured the room was nice. This place is not a hotel there is no lobby no in person communicator. Basically it’s an apartment complex and they rent out some of the room (or majority from our floor). Before arriving they asked for very detailed information and it made my group uneasy. They wanted the info for each guest stating such as full name and birthdate and email and they were given short form to sign agreeing to conditions. THEN they ask for pictures of the payer ID and wanted a picture of the card being used (it was very sketchy and honestly I was ready to see extra charges on my card) but we already drove 3 1/2 hours to get here. The room is nice but the area around it is misleading the windows in the room are searched up and the view outside isn’t pretty. The roof top area is actually really small. Due to not having a lobby we had nosiey neighbors are second night and didn’t have a way to contact them other than through phone.
- Verified traveler (2/5): - WORST PLACE TO STAY AT ! It was a nightmare ! Arrived to the building and the door was not locked so a bunch og homeless people were staying in the lobby! The door to my apt would not open and there was no one in the building to help out! With all the homeless around we left right away! Called the hotel to explain the frustration and they still have not called back! They didn't even apologize and the took our 3 nights payment and never even called back! DONT STAY HERE!
