Guest Reviews
- Paul (10/5): - Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel restaurant very good but not many other dining options within walking distance. Chosen for locality to Thon Buri railway station, about 15 minutes walk.
- darrellsmith_45110 (6/5): Chef Late On Duty ! - Arrived early (1000) on Wednesday 30 April and checked in but unable to get an available room until 1300 despite offering to pay the 100 Thai Baht per hour for extra hours in room. The hotel was apparently fully booked. No real drama but an early room would have been nice after a long journey.
Given room 210 which overlooked the pool at the rear. This was a bonus as the rooms at the front overlook a very busy, noisy road.
The room was very clean and spacious with a huge king / queen size bed. A wet room style shower and toilet. Very good air-con and wi-fi.
An evening meal in the adjacent Embers restaurant was substantial and fairly priced.
Then came the disappointment.
Breakfast was advertised from 0730 and we duly took our place in Embers and were offered tea and coffee. We ordered breakfast but as there was no sign of chef we started to doubt that any food would be forthcoming. As we checked out at 0810 the chef arrived !
I would have given 4 or even 5 stars but when you pay for something you don’t get and of course don’t get reimbursed it the becomes a 3 star experience.
This hotel is a steady 10 minute walk to Thonburi Railway Station for visitors wishing to travel on the death line to Kanchanaburi (River Kwai) and Nam Tok.
- percy (10/5): - Everything was good
- Peter (10/5): - Lovely and clean hotel that was great to stay nearby for the Thonburi train station. 24x7 check-in helped and onsite pool looked really good. 711 close by but not much else. Breakfast had limited options but can't fault the quality.
- percy (10/5): - No coments
- Karen (10/5): - This is a very good hotel in almost all of the important areas, from my personal perspective. Staff are delightful and very accommodating. Swimming pool is gorgeous and very well maintained. Room was super clean and the bed very comfy. They have a well-known high end restaurant on site, where I would have eaten at least once had they had even one vegan item on the menu. If you eat a wide variety of foods, you'll probably love it there. Getting transportation wasn't the easiest. It would have been great to have a shuttle to the nearest train. But I knew about these issues before booking, and I managed to have a very nice stay and would go back.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Overall fairly good. Shower temperature not adjustable, would have liked it warmer. Otherwise enjoyed stay.
- Margarita (10/5): - It was a great service.. We were very happy in this hotel me and my friend. Very clean , very kindly allbthe staff. But Nut it was the best person and nice employee. I really come back here just for the service.
- Leonard (10/5): - Very nice looking hotel. A very nice christmas decoration. Friendly staff. A very good hotel restaurant and a nice small swimming pool. Everything being very clean.
But you will need a taxi to get to the center
- voinot (10/5): Excellent - Cadre très calme, la piscine est un vrai plus. Le personnel est très serviable. Que dire de plus, je vous recommande l’hôtel.
- rolfb540 (8/5): Enjoy the stay - Arrived at the Reception and Check-in was done quick and easy. The rooms are very clean and nice. Just make sure that you get a room not at the side where the busy main road is. It will be noisy for 24h.
in the same building, next door is a restaurant with very good food and it is very nice and relaxing.
- Mikuro (10/5): - ที่พักสะอาดและสะดวกสบาย
- David (8/5): - besides hot water issue for shower the rest was good
- traceygR6500AP (8/5): BANGKOK NOI - not too far out of the city - Stayed here as part of a hop around trip, spent just 3 nights here. Lovely hotel of a good standard, amazing restaurant on site too. Pool was nice for a couple of hours at the end of a busy day. Although this hotel is on 'the other side of the river' it really didn't cause any issues. We used grab to order taxis to get around which worked perfectly. The barge museum is worth a visit, it's literally 10 mins from the hotel.
Would stay here again.
- Susan (8/5): - Very quiet hotel. Nice restaurant with good American breakfast
- Mariyam (10/5): - I Stayed there just 3 nights. It is a little Far from the places i wanted to visit. But all good. Big thanks to 2 ladies who helped me out soo much during the stay. Very friendly and kind both of them are.
Room No. 208 & 206. Kind regards from Maldives.
- Elizabeth (6/5): Average - Very average good value for money
Good location for Thon Buri station, reason for booking.
- Donn (8/5): - Very noisy from the traffic at night
- Kim (10/5): God oplevelse - Godt sted til prisen
- Daniel (2/5): Sad, dirty, noisy, and not worth a stay. - Sent an email a month before asking for early check in, no answer.
Room was dirty, dusty full of combwebs, dirty windows, mold in bathroom, bugs
no towels had to ask multiple times,
can’t communicate with staff as the level of english was minimal, so checking in and out was made harder than necessary.
Pool was full of leafs and worn down, missing tiles making it dangerous.
Room facing the city was SUPER LOUD with traffic noise making it feel like we was sleeping on the street.
All together not a very professional place, not clean, not peaceful, not cozy.
Staff rudely demanded 1000bath deposit and refused giving me a receipt and proof of diposit.
Love thailand and the thai people are amazing, sadly this hotels and staff was lacking that beautiful thai spirit.
Dont not recommend under any circumstances
- Jason (6/5): - Hotel was alright, no complaints.
- Erika3101hoi (10/5): Go here! - I had a really nice stay. It looks exactly like the photo's. The staff is really friendly and the atmosphere around the pool is very chill!
The restaurant had really really really nice food!
- good wifi
- good airconditioning
- very clean
- the bed is very comfortable
Also a nice location! Next to a 7/11.
- nicolakelly66 (6/5): Started off so well - The hotel itself is great, beds super comfortable, fabulous location. Sadly it is let down by the really expensive restaurant attached to it. There is where you will get your breakfast.. If you are vegetarian forget it. Twice I had eggs, first was an inedible omelette raw in the middle, 2nd day snotty fried eggs!!! Had a small pizza there first evening.... 506 bhat!!!!!
Also if you misplace your room key, it's another 200 bhat...
So sadly it's not the fabulous review I initially thought it would be.
- 277helent (10/5): Comfortable contemporary hotel that's great value a little bit away from the chaos of Bangkok. - We chose this hotel as we wanted somewhere comfortable to get over the jetlag when we arrived in Bangkok away from the crowds. The rooms are lovely with super comfortable beds and nice bathrooms. The restaurant is great but expensive but we had breakfast included which was enormous. The drinks are divine and the staff super nice and accommodating. Pool area is great to relax and cool down. The area isn't the nicest or handiest but we walked to Wang Lang pier each day (15 -20 mins) to get the boat crossings and a long boat round Thonburi area. There's lots to see round Wang Lang and it's just across the river from the Grand Palace and other main sites.
- AsiaOlivia (8/5): Great little hotel off the beaten track - Great little hotel slightly off the beaten track but still very easy to get everywhere you’d like to go in the city; it’s just a short walk away from one of the piers which the orange flag boat services, for example. Lovely room and a very good pool at the rear for cooling down in. Would highly recommend if you want to keep to a budget but don’t want to miss out on the luxury of having a pool on holiday.
- Judy (8/5): - Well maintained, clean & value for money!
- Verified traveler (4/5): - Lovely garden swimming pool, too far from city centre, shower cold, breakfast wasn't included and when I paid extra wel
- notsavvytravellor (10/5): Great little hotel - We stayed 3 nights in late Dec. Enjoyed the room space, comfortable bed, good linen, powerful shower.
Swam back at the hotel everyday after a day out in the city. Thai fried rice, congee or American breakfast was delicious, served in the lovely covered area next to the green surrounding the pool.
And the staff. Most friendly and helpful. They taped and tied up 2 largish boxes for us for hand-carrying on our way to the airport. Would've been awkward to handle them otherwise. Thank you for a most pleasant stay!
- whysm1711 (10/5): Chic and Comfortable Hotel - Loved the aesthetics of the rooms in this hotel. The design of the rooms and bathrooms as well as the fixtures were chic and classy. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were cosy without being cluttered. The lap pool was perfect for a quick dip and to swim laps. The terrace beside the lap pool looked like a ship's hull especially since the hotel is near the National Museum of Royal Barges. It felt like a home away from home. The breakfast was a treat. The fried rice was delicious and came with fresh squeezed juice, fresh fruits and tea or coffee. Enjoyed our stay here.
- Shhhlog (8/5): Coconuts at the right time! - Lovely staff, came with complimentary fresh coconuts which was just what we needed! Helpful with bags and nice chilled pool, restaurant wasn't open yet but they were working hard on it. Clean and kept well
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Good design with mood and classy tone. Nice place to stay.
- KJBD37 (10/5): Better than expected very professional hotel nice rooms - Better than expected very professional hotel with nice new rooms.
Stayed only 1 night so that we could be at siriraj hospital at 8.30am
The place is brand new and still all shiney.
The staff we're very pleasant indeed professional and polite there is a nice sized swimming pool that we didn't use but I put my hand in, was nice and warm with a nice green area around it there is an off-road car park for easy parking.
In the room the beds are very comfortable clean and soft not cheap hard bats that you might find in a cheap hotel the bathroom is nice they have a smart TV in the room which was already connected to the internet very handy for travelers who may want to use Netflix
I highly recommend skipping the breakfast it was very average to be polite.
the hotel did some nice little complimentary touches that was not expected such as really nice fresh baked confectionery fruit tarts and also some fresh fruit that you might expect to find in a very Posh Hotel these were surprisingly very delicious and we really appreciated these cost money and take time to arrange and shows the mindset of the Hotel owners 🙏
Checking in and checking out was easy the staff even offered to go to the pharmacy for us when I asked where the nearest one was!
I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice hotel in this area I think this is the best option we were surprised in a good way
considering the price we were very happy I feel that it is decent value for money
- AnnaTong1 (10/5): Wonderful new boutique hotel! - Our family stayed at the new Scene Hotel & we all loved it. The common areas are bright, airy & large. The pool is a generous size perfect for kids to play & adult to swim laps. The bedrooms were all nicely designed, bright and very comfortable. Entertainment system also quite up to date. All the staffs was very attentive and friendly. There is even private parking. Overall, a great small hotel very close to the Chaophraya river. We will recommend this to everyone!
- JessicaX104 (10/5): Amazing hotel - The room is very clean with the beautiful interior desgin. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We really enjoy our stay in this hotel. Highly recommended.
飯店小而精美,床很舒服,整個環境給人感覺十分乾淨明亮,櫃檯的服務人員也很有效率,下次如果再訪還是會選擇這間飯店。
- NGAWCHEEHAO (10/5): Charming Boutique Hotel - Nestled in the old part of Bangkok, Scene Bangkok Noi offers clean and boutique style accommodation near Khao San and Siriraj hospital. Perfect for family and couples! I enjoyed my stay in the black and gold theme room and would recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area.
- Denis_Colin_Zhu (10/5): Chic Hotel with Fantastic Service - My family had a great time enjoying a staycation at Scene with some friends. The rooms were elegant & the beds were comfortable.
What stood out most was the impeccable service we received. The staff were always on hand to provide assistance, which made our stay even more enjoyable.
Keep up the good work guys!
- MamChai (10/5): New little Hotel - Nice, New and Clean little hotel. Minimum but Grate decoration. Comfortable bed. Not a bad location not far away from central bangkok, near lots of tourist destination, very close to Siriraj hospital.
- tommyegne (10/5): Minimal yet Majestic - Beyond what most reviews have said, which are all correct in my opinion, I fell in love with the room interior. It being minimalistic yet giving a sense of majestic. The 54" Ultra-HD was also something I didn't expect due to how most hotels uses out-dated TV. The experience of staying in the room was exquisite and the location is just 10/10. Would definitely come back!
- vnav2017 (10/5): Nice Hotel with best location - Have only spent 1 night in this hotel, but still cannot forget how impressive it was. The quality surpassed every expectation. The hotel is in perfect location, very close to Siriraj Hospital. The Pinklao bridge being only few hundred yards away, it makes it super easy to travel to all historical area. Every tourist attraction is super easy to reach, such destinations as Wat Arun, or Grand Palace, or Wat Pho is closer than you would think.
The hotel itself is very clean, the staff is extremely helpful and very organised. Hotel's rooms are huge compare to other hotels nearby. Was super impressed with the size of our double bed.
It's got quite big outdoor swimming pool, it's not very deep but yet perfect. All of that impressed me more than I ever expected. Perfect place, perfect price, best quality. Definitely coming back next year or even sooner!!! Thank you
- Penquinpei (8/5): Very impressive! - The hotel is situated very close to a hospital, several large top-end department stores and the wonderful Rama VIII Park.
The hotel is so beautiful I come here for business trip and Throughout the stay the service are consistency. I would like to thank your Staff. They are superb!
