• Assel (10/5): Хороший спокойный отель в самом сердце Стамбула - вернулась бы ещё раз. - Очень уютный отель, чистые комнаты и тёплая атмосфера. Персонал вежливый, помогли со всеми вопросами. Локация топ - до всех достопримечательностей рукой подать. Особых минусов нет, просто стены могли бы быть чуть более звукоизоляционными. В остальном всё отлично.

Świetny kontakt przed przyjazdem, miłe przywitanie, ciągłe zainteresowanie gościem i chęć pomocy w każdym problemie. Ponadto lokalizacja jest topowa. Wszędzie blisko co pozwala spontanicznie realizować zwiedzanie miasta. A jest co zwiedzać. Największym plusem były pokoje rodzinne, gdzie dzieci mogły mieć swój osobny pokój z łazienką. Kawa mogłaby być lepsza.

• Susan (10/5): Highly recommended hotel between world famous historic mosques. - Brilliant location between historic mosques. Restaurants on doorstep but rooms lovely and quiet. Very helpful staff who were easy to communicate with before and during our stay. Wonderful healthy breakfasts Turkish style with lots of variety. Very comfortable beds and very clean. Highly recommend. I tend to return. Nothing at all!

• Vidya (10/5): Highly recommend this hotel in Sultanahmet area . - We had a small room on the first floor facing the street but it was quiet and comfortable for our needs . Very clean and good housekeeping . The breakfast was good and the young lady was attentive . I must compliment the front desk staff , Younis , Lokman and Zeki. Younis was so friendly and helped with arranging tours and giving information about the closest ATM etc. Lokman was there every night to greet us when we returned and ask about our day. Younis brought us a basket of fruit and wine due to our status with Hotels.com. This was not expected but very kind and thoughtful. If we are back in Istanbul we will definitely stay here again as the location is fantastic and the staff is very informative and friendly. On a rainy day we were given an umbrella too . Little things mean a lot when you travel . If you choose this hotel you will not be disappointed!
• de Bes (7/5): Prima overnachting op een centrale plek, maar ontbijt elders is aan te raden - De kamer was prima, het bed comfortabel en de badkamer fijn ook qua ruimte. Het hotel zit midden in het centrum van Sultanahmet, waardoor hotspots op loopafstand liggen. Het ontbijt is slecht, we hebben er vier keer ontbeten en daardoor vielen ons diverse dingen op. Als eerst staat eten urenlang, dan wel niet de hele ontbijttijd buiten de koelkast en als het niet op is, bestaat de kans dat het er de volgende dag weer staat. Eten was vaak taai/overrijp/lauw/smakeloos en de (oplos)koffie niet lekker. Denk hierbij ook aan gesneden fruit, salades, brood, kwark, etc. Daarbij hangen in het hotel diverse borden dat roken niet is toegestaan, maar vanuit de ontbijtzaal was zichtbaar en te ruiken dat de medewerker in de keuken rookt en hierna geen handen wast. Na dit te hebben gemeld zagen we hem wel buiten roken, maar de algemene indruk van de hygiëne was niet goed. Als laatst zit het personeel continu op de telefoon met het geluid hard, wat erg storend en niet gastvrij overkomt.

• Federica Licitra (7/5): Hotel in ottima posizione ideale per brevi soggiorni in centro - Posizione perfetta per visitare il centro di Istanbul in quanto l'hotel è esattamente a 5 minuti di camminata da piazza Sultanhamet. Camere spaziose e pulite. Colazione varia e ben assortita di specialità locali e non. Reception aperta h24. Il bagno è dotato di bagnoschiuma, Shampoo e balsamo di buona qualità. Purtroppo la camera era molto calda al nostro arrivo e dato che togliendo la chiave la luce si stacca ci abbiamo messo un pò a rinfrescarla. Il letto non era dotato di lenzuolo ma solo di una coperta troppo pesante per la stagione estiva e troppo piccola per un letto matrimoniale. Ascensore poco affidabile.

• Malcolm (8/5): A well-priced, clean hotel in a gtreat location. - Very friendly service. Rooms were clean and tidy. It was surprisingly quiet, given its location. There was a good selection of toiletries in the bathroom. The breakfast chef was very friendly! Breakfast was variable. It did include a few local dishes which was good, but sometimes it had been reheated from the previous day. I think this might have been because it was quite quiet when we stayed. Air-con was struggling to keep the room cool, and maybe needs servicing.

• Elizabeth (8/5): Yunus was the highlight of out stay in the hotel. - The staff at this hotel was the best. Especially Yunus who went above and beyond every request we had. He helped us in so many ways it would not have been as enjoyable without him. Everything Everything was fine.

Breakfast was ok, could have had more options, but still enough to fill you up and even go for round 2. Location is very good. Within walking distance of the Blue Mosque, Hagia Sofia, Grand Bazaar with close Tram links. I would recommend eating and dining near YusufPasa, as its half the price compared to where this hotel is situated.
• Alistair (10/5): Excellent location for major tourist sites - Superb location for major attractions such as Basilica Cistern, Topkapi Palace, Blue Mosque and Aya Sophia Mosque as only 10-15 minutes walk to any of them. Staff were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful and included buffet breakfast had a good selection of food. Room was spacious and comfortable There was nothing that we didn’t like for our short stay
• Rajani (10/5): - We got a suite with 2 bedrooms connected which was very convenient for family of 4. Beds and bathrooms were very nice and clean. Location is walkable to many dining options and all the main siteseeing. The hotel staff stored our luggage for free from checkout to 430pm. The transfer cost to and from airport was comparable to other private shuttle but felt safer. Traditional breakfast was included and freshly made. Not many continental options. We could hear the prayers from the mosque at 430am which we didnt mind and you would hear it anywhere that close to the center. Overall, it was a great stay. Pricey but worth it as we got to enjoy terrace dining with view of blue mosque whi ch we wouldnt have done if we stayed far from center.

The reception staff were helpful before our arrival and when we were there.They booked our airport transfers and a bosphorus diner cruise. The room was exceptionally clean and the housekeeper was friendly. We had a junior suite on the top floor.
• Dr Phillip John (10/5): - The Obelisk Hotel is situated in the heart of historical Istanbul. The location is perfect for access to all the major sites by walking. We were two minutes from the Blue Mosque, three from Haggia Sofia and five minutes from Topkapi Palace or the Basilica Cisterns. The Grand Bazaar is about 15 minutes walk and the Egyptian bazaar about 20 or 25 minutes. There are local tram stops and lots of taxis for longer journeys. The hotel itself is modern and well kept. The cleanliness and service are excellent. There is a restaurant on site, but it only serves breakfast. However, there are dozens of local restaurants where you can find lunch or dinner. There is no bar at the hotel , but several of the local restaurants offer bar-like service, if you just want a beer or wine. The restaurants want your trade and are not afraid of approaching you in the street with offers etc. Don't be afraid to say no. A polite refusal is well understood. The local Turkish people are keen traders and, again, offers will be made to take you to sweet shops or carpet salesrooms. All very interesting, but remember, you don't have to buy. Overall an excellent hotel in a prime position.

• Helmut (8/5): - The front desk staff was very helpful and accommodating. The maid service was excellent. The breakfast was mediocre at best. One day the coffee machine did not work. The other day there was no bread available. Some days the fruit basket was not replenished, fruit was over ripe. The pastries were not good, the same cake slices left on the tray for a week. The food was not kept hot, the warming trays were not working adequately. The breakfast was the most disappointing aspect of the stay.

• Noel (10/5): excellent.. - We had an amazing stay in Göreme, Cappadocia! The hotel exceeded our expectations with its excellent rooms, perfect location, and welcoming staff. The breathtaking views, especially from the infinity pool overlooking the stunning mountain caves, made our experience even more special. Breakfast was delicious, offering a great selection to start the day right. One of the highlights was the thoughtful service—they allowed us to leave our belongings after check-out, making it much easier for us to explore comfortably before our departure. Overall, it was a fantastic stay, and we highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Cappadocia!
• salimah (10/5): - Hotel is a very convenient location. Walkable to blue mosque, Hagia Sophia, cistern basillica, the palace, the grand bazaar, and the tram station! Staffs are friendly. The free breakfast was so good. Highly recommend this hotel. Our family enjoyed our stay and love Istanbul.
• George (8/5): Very good - location, clean, frindly staff heavy traffic in location makes it difficult for taxis to reach. A/C did not work in cooling mode.

• Yvonne (6/5): Good location but overpriced. - It was clean, reception afternoon staff and evening very helpful. Was expecting room upgrade both rooms as per booking but only got one. No curtains to close in upgrade room so light came in. Breakfast was not as shown in pictures and looked stale most days. Not much of atmosphere but good location. Pictures not accurate. There was chewing gum on a model typewriter when we arrived in lobby, took 4 days before it was noticed and removed. Noise from lift could be heard in room although they were supposed to be soundproof.

• Robert (7/5): Clean hotel close to tourist sites - The property was as described in the tourist area and close to the blue mosque, grand bazaar etc. the staff were friendly and the room was large and clean. There is a restaurant two doors down that played their music excessively loud most nights.

• Nadia (9/5): Worth a visit for its location - The location was perfect to explore the old parts of Istanbul. The rooms were clean and basic. The staff were friendly. Being next to restaurants and other businesses wasn't quiet at night. The breakfast included option is a no go as it wasn't very nice but there are lots of cafes next to it

• Maria Sol (2/5): - This experience was a disaster, room was super noise. And when we open the bed it was full of hear we record a video and showed to the receptionist he change us to an other room the cleaning wasn't much better. Then we looked in goggle for the review and we saw a picture taken in the same room with a rat on it. I will never recommend this Hotel and we left early we were very uncomfortable and insecure.

• Wen Ci, Lynn (8/5): - The area The obelisk hotel is located in Sultanahmet, where many of the historical attractions in Istanbul are - because of this, the prices in the area are a little higher. The eateries around Obelisk are the same, but they also have terrace seating with views of the Old City, which in itself is very nice. One thing to note is due to their proximity to tourist areas, some discretion should be exercised when shopping/dining in the area around the hotel. The hotel stay We were upgraded to the unit on the top floor, which has an adjoined terrace on the fourth floor. This gave us a nice view and a very cool space to enjoy dinner and some tea while soaking in the surroundings. The room was clean, spacious and well-maintained. Yunus at the reception wasvery helpful and gave us good food recommendations, and gave us useful suggestions of places to visit. The hotel helped us arrange a transfer to and from the airport for our stay before we arrived, which helped us avoid the hassle of securing transportation at the airport. Breakfast was included during our stay, and traditional Turkish fare was offered for breakfast. This was alright, but we did not check any options outside of the hotel, given what we mentioned about the area being slightly pricier.

• Rana (10/5): Exceptional - It is close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia (5min walk); very friendly hotel staff esp Younus, who works at the hotel reception, I found him very pleasant and helpful. They can arrange city tours, Bosphorus cruise and airport pick and drop service at a short notice and at very good rates. Good breakfast included in price, good sized air conditioned rooms which were ultra clean. Lots of restaurants immediately around the hotel which stay open until quite late at night so finding food is never a problem (although a bit expensive).

• Qamar (10/5): Strong little hotel - What a great little hotel. The staff were very polite. The breakfast was decent, although pretty much the same each day but enough varitey to keep you going. The breakfast staff were very tentative and you could order a freshly made omelet. We stayed in a two bedroomed suite. The room sizes are decent with enough room to move about and with good rainfall shower. Location is super. 5 mins to blue mosque maybe less if you are a quick walker. Would happily stay here again. We stayed for 4 nights.

• Hawabibi (8/5): Excellent, comfortable stay! - The staff are very hospitable. The hotel is in an excellent location in the Sultanahmet area. Excellent accommodation. Nice room size and bathroom. The breakfast is average, especially if you staying for a week. There isn't much variety. Would be nice if they could include an egg station. The pictures on the website are deceiving. There are no views of the Blue Mosque from here unless you staying in a bedroom on the 3rd floor. There is no roof top or terrace.
