Kristal (10/5): My new favorite Orlando Hotel!! - I loved this hotel and it now my preferred hotel near Disney springs. I received a very warm welcome from Sabrina and all the staff that worked the week I was there was wonderful. Starbucks team was like family! Every day I would stop by and get a drink and check in with them and we would talk like we knew each other for years! The Valet team was super friendly and helpful! The hotel was beautiful and smelt amazing! The distance from the hotel to Disney springs was perfect. They even left cupcakes and a congratulatory note in the room for my son and I, honoring my request to celebrate Mother’s Day and his graduation. I was able to see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom from my room on the 12th floor which truly made my trip even more memorable and magical! Overall this place felt like home and I can’t wait to get back next month!! Book your room and thank me later!

CSTWH (8/5): Mixed experience - Stayed here for a business meeting that my husband had....so wasn't our choice. Would we stay here again? Answer is no because there are so many other options available. That doesn't mean we had a bad experience, just that the negatives didn't outweigh the positives. Overall, the hotel needs and needed better renovations, while the room had been updated, elevators were slow, the bathroom shower leaked water all over the floor, the room windows were so thin and old - hard to get to close properly, and the traffic noise from the nearby highway was notable, and except for very late at night or early morning, having sliding door open wasn't an option. Food options at the cafe were very limited and quite expensive. The one dinner we had in the restaurant was just okay, but a bit slow - although our waiter was very friendly. Pool area seemed fine, it was too cool for us to try out the pool. The walk to Disney Springs was about 15-20 minutes depending on walking speed.

landriam2024 (2/5): Dump to the Dump, to the Dump, Dump, Dump! - This property is turning into a total dump. I have stayed here several times over the years, and with each stay, I’ve seen it consistently decline. My most recent visit this week will be my last. At check in, the young lady at the front desk attempted to give me a totally different room that what I had booked several weeks in advance citing “she could only book what her system told her”, until I literally whipped out my phone to show her the confirmation on the room type, then magically, she produced a room. We are thankful it was just a one night stay because the room was nasty. There was mold in the shower, which I definitely reported and the only response was, oh I’m so sorry about that. There was a dead bug on the filthy carpet that clearly hadn’t been vacuumed in a while and hair on the toilet. I’m talking motel level cleaning, yet they’re charging a $43 “resort fee”. There was trash left in the hallway that was clearly there at our arrival and our departure, so the hotel staff was good with walking over trash in a hallway. There’s broken down areas where the ice machines were never repaired or replaced and it just doesn’t meet the elevated standards of a Renaissance. I exhausted points on this stay, and regretfully so, because at this standard, we could’ve stayed at the low budget Marriott options, and expected the same or even better. The insult to top it all off is that they’re charging $30/night for parking, but the gates are broken, so you don’t need to actually tap anything to enter or exit, so had we not been honest about parking our car, we wouldn’t have encountered yet another ridiculous fee. Do better Marriott and cut loose the leadership of this property because they’re not serving the brand well nor those of us as corporate business travelers who have contracts with your properties, and plenty of competitive options.

Robert16 (6/5): I Did Not Rest Easy Here - Not a luxury hotel, indeed, it didn’t feel like it deserved four-star designation – I’d say it was more three-star. One day, the housekeeper didn’t close my hotel room door – I found it open after a day out; anyone could have just walked in and stolen my stuff. However, the hotel adequately served my needs. Good breakfast buffet for a reasonable charge. Helpful staff. Fast, stable wi-fi. Free shuttles to Disney parks (you need to book in advance via a website and input a hotel code; the hotel explains how to do this). However, I did not rest easy in this hotel, I didn’t trust it and it didn’t trust me. Like many other North American hotels, the Renaissance Orlando Disney Springs charges daily resort fees, $39 per night in this case. I’m amazed that this despicable practice is legal in any civilised country. And does it still fool anyone anyway? Infuriating and baffling. Front desk hotel staff must hate resort fees: I suspect they need to be constantly tense, ready to be confronted by furious hotel guests at check-out. Handing the final invoice to the customer must a constant source of stress. Fortunately, my booking for a week at the Renaissance Hotel was through a travel company, Virgin Atlantic Holidays, and part of that deal was ‘resort fees waived’ (I wouldn’t have stayed at the Renaissance Orlando otherwise). This is worth thinking about and shopping around for – a resort fees waived deal could save you hundreds of dollars in hidden charges. Other travel company packages may offer it too. However, even if you get a deal with resort fees waived, Renaissance Hotel Orlando may try to impose them anyway; they did with me and only removed them after three days and when I reported the matter to the holiday company resort team and got them to intervene on my behalf. I recommend you keep paperwork handy with ‘resort fees waived’ highlighted. Keep checking every day that the hotel is not imposing resort fees. Compounding my mistrust was a Renaissance Hotel payment regime whose aggressiveness is unprecedented in my experience. The hotel asks for a credit card when you check in and takes an initial $100 hold - nothing new there. However, the hotel then makes further $100 credit card charges every day to cover resort fees and other ‘incidentals’; the hotel wants to always have a credit card hold on at least $100 more than your current bill, including resort fees. The hotel doesn’t tell you it is doing this. I get a strong impression that the hotel has frequent check-out day disputes over its hidden resort fees, so it wants to have control of more than enough of your money to pay its bill before you get to see it. Either that or the hotel assumes that every customer is a crook. All in all, I didn’t trust this hotel, and it looks like the feeling was mutual. I recommend that if you have a banking app that allows you to monitor your credit card transactions, you keep checking it to see what the Renaissance Hotel is charging to your credit card. That’s what alerted me to the daily $100 charge it was making to my Visa card, which led to the revelation that it was charging me resort fees when it shouldn’t. I also recommend paying for hotel incidentals such as restaurant meals directly rather than putting them on the room. This makes it easier to monitor what the hotel is charging you for. I further recommend that you settle the bill the day before you check out, especially if you need to catch a train or plane on departure day. Get an invoice marked ‘paid in full’. Check your credit card transactions for several days after you check out and dispute any unexplained transactions with your credit card company.
AlyssaAbroad (6/5): Beautiful Design, but Safety Matters - I stayed at this property for one night and came away feeling a bit mixed. There is a lot here that works well. Check-in was seamless, and the staff made a strong first impression. They were friendly, welcoming, and informative about the hotel and its amenities, which immediately set a positive tone for the stay. The room itself was visually appealing. It felt aesthetic, tidy, and well put together at first glance, which always matters. A room can be simple, but if it feels clean, calm, and intentional, that goes a long way. Where the stay fell short was in maintenance and functionality. The most noticeable issue was the shower. It appeared to need a much deeper cleaning, with visible dirt and mold buildup that detracted from the otherwise polished look of the room. Beyond cleanliness, the glass shower door was a real concern. It swung outward too loosely, making hard contact with the bathroom vanity, and when closing, it also hit the adjacent glass panel with force. That kind of repeated impact does not inspire confidence. The door also failed to seal properly, allowing water to spill onto the bathroom floor and creating an avoidable slip hazard. There were also issues with the room entry itself. The key reader was inconsistent, making it more frustrating to enter the room than it should have been. On top of that, the main entrance door to the room was heavy and shut with enough force to rattle the frame and surrounding walls. This was consistent with neighboring units on my floor, as I could hear guests coming and going from my room based on the door slamming, which caused the door frame and walls in my room to rattle loudly. The elevator was also very slow, which is a smaller complaint, but still part of the overall experience. I reduced my time by taking the stairs down to the main floor. Thank God I was on the second floor. What stood out most to me, though, was the property’s access setup. Guest room floors required key access via the elevator, suggesting an effort toward controlled entry. However, the stairwells did not appear to have the same security measures, suggesting it was possible for non-guests to reach guest-room levels. Whether intentional or not, that undercuts the sense of security a hotel should provide. Overall, this is a property with a strong visual impression, pleasant staff, and a smooth arrival experience. But for the price to truly feel justified, the basics need to hold up too, especially cleanliness, safety, noise control, and secure guest access.

laurabG5137GY (8/5): Fabulous Hotel, great location! - We arrived on the 28th February 2026 after an 11-hour trip, and we were all exhausted! We came to check in to be told the room was ready as the hotel didn't have our booking on the system. So we waited around 30-45 minutes we kept asking how long it would take, my little boy was having a major meltdown in the lobby and he just needed to go to bed but the room still wasn't ready, I tried to explain to a staff member that my little one was adopted and struggles with certain circumstances to which she just walked off. When we finally got out rooms it was lovely, modern. The hotel has great facilities, my little one loved the pool and its only around a 10-15 minute walk from Disney springs which is perfect for the evenings. The shower wasnt the best, it took the water time to heat up and then would go cold again. Beds were uncomfortable There was a party of teenagers who were there for a conference, they were very noisy! we had to phone reception several times as they all had rooms close to us, at one point I had to knock on their door as it was midnight and we could hear laughing, banging, music (I could go on!) And had to ask them to be quite. The hotel has transportation to the Disney parks but non to universal so we had to book an uber to universal (something to bare in mind) A few days after check in the hotel delivered us some champagne and a selection of treats along with a card apologising regarding check in and also said congratulations on our adoption. Overall we had a very pleasant and positive experience. The noise from the teenagers spoilt it slightly and we struggled to sleep during the 2nd week. But would stay here again!

engineer64 (8/5): Great Stay - Another great stay at the Renaissance. They did a great job with this property as it is a pretty old building. I got a fireworks view room which was a nice perk. The breakfast was excellent and the food service for the meetings was also excellent. Everything was clean and worked well. The short walk over to Disney Springs allowed for many choices for dinner and shopping. It is one of the advantages over most Disney owned properties as no bus needed to get to Disney Springs. They have recently reduced the elite Bonvoy perks - so that was missed this trip. The Disney affiliation allows the use of Mears Connect to and from the airport. If you are looking for a Disney trip, this hotel is a great choice.

Even though I was not using valet service, Dominique was extremely helpful watching for my MEARSconnect and the others were friendly and started conversations with me as I waited! I also found the housekeeping staff friendly. The same was not true for the check in desk upon my arrival. That gentleman was less than helpful. I felt like we were more of a bother than a guest. No directions to our room. Upon entering the elevator (which was btw the wrong elevator to use) we found a chair in the elevator and a chicken bone precariously parked on the hand railing inside the elevator. The hostess at the restaurant the next morning was also rude and not helpful at all. The room was average and the balconies that aren't poolside do not have chairs on them. The "view of the city" was mostly parking lot and freeway and yes, there was one building in the line of vision. You can walk to Disney Springs.

smV8238RB (10/5): Excellent Breakfast Restaurant - We didn’t stay at the hotel however walked over to the American Cafe for breakfast from a neighboring hotel. It’s a very cute upbeat spot with friendly staff. There is a buffet option as well as order from the menu available. The food was great.. my daughter order the buffet which included Mickey waffles fruit cereal eggs bacon muffins , etc . I ordered an omelette with choice of onion peppers mushroom tomato cheese and it came with breakfast potatoes. The coffee is Starbucks brew. Everything was excellent ! Also a special shout out to the staff...everyone we encountered was friendly and polished and Imane went above and beyond to make us feel at home and provide perfect service. Great way to start a vacation morning . Highly recommend!

Joe (2/5): Not worth the money stay at a super 8 - Clean and bright, looked newer Rooms had no insulation/sound dampening, they had a cheerleader convention with young kids slamming doors and running in halls all night. Bed was a rock, floor was softer, way over priced for quality. The hot tub only fit 3 people and it was full of kids, no staff paying attention to any disturbances.

Nate812 (10/5): KYLE, Bert, Imane are A++++ - I attended for a business conference, Kyle at the front desk was knowledgeable and highly hospitable and AMAZINGLY welcoming, the meals at American Kitchen were stellar. Had the pleasure of seeing the same staff daily, Imane served me every day with a smile and Berte greeted me daily like we were a longtime friends! So glad a business conference was here and not at another location, I plan to come Back with the fam!

Katrina was there to greet us with an enthusiastic smile on her face to make sure we were seated where we wanted. Big thanks to the entire staff! 703cassidya (10/5): Dining at The American Kitchen - We traveled to Orlando for a work conference. We were in Orlando for five days. Each day we ate at The American Kitchen in the hotel lobby. Imane served us on two occasions and did an excellent job. She was friendly, helpful, and made sure we were taken care of. The receptionist Katrina greeted us with excitement and a pleasant smile each visit. We would highly recommend visiting them.

katyb1980 (8/5): Nice overall - Overall I liked my stay here. The staff were friendly, it smelled amazing when I walked into the hotel lobby, and the decor was modern and bright. The hot tub outside is very small but SO mighty- those jets are powerful and hot! It felt wonderful! Hotel is also in an excellent location, close to Disney Springs with tons of restaurants and shopping. I would change a few things. One- the bathroom was beautiful, but the towels were mega scratchy and rough on my skin. I had hoped it'd only be a fluke over one day but I stated multiple nights and it was the same. Uncomfortable. Two- the wall art was missing in my room. So strange! I told the front desk and they shrugged. They said maintenance might have taken it down to work on it. So I get to stare at a blank wall for a week? Zero efforts were made to replace it. I did appreciate the free bottled water in the room and drink ticket on arrival. All in all, a nice stay with just a few loose ends.
Marcie (3/5): The location is optimal, the staff were pleasant but I wouldn’t stay here again. - Location. Staff was pleasant. Housekeeping was terrific The rooms were dated. The tile was old, stained and cracked. The pillows were old and lumpy and the mattress was old and hard. The worst was the sheets. They were so deeply creased that it felt like there were crumbs in bed.
Bonnie (8/5): It was nice, but I kind of expected a little more. - Nice walking distance to Disney Springs. It was nice having a restaurant and Starbucks Café on the premises. When we first got there, the bathroom door lock was broken. But it did get fixed. The fitted sheet on my bed was ripped when I got there and when they made the bed, they just made it with the bed sheet ripped. It didn’t seem like nice sheets were a priority. They couldn’t miss it. The only other concern was nothing that they could helped that was the sound of I-4 traffic

Woods (10/5): Amazing! - This property is always the highlight of my visit to Orlando. I love the staff. They're so accommodating and very kind. Emily and Jose were awesome at their jobs! Jose was polite and made conversation while helping my mom and me with our luggage. Emily checked us in and helped me get my favorite area. The restaurant is better than many hotels I've been to. The breakfast is wonderful, and though it can be pricey, the dinner service is my favorite. They sometimes include a free beverage in your welcome packet. It's worth a visit to the bar for a Strawberry State of Mind! There were some repairs needed in our room. 319 had some water damage under the mini fridge and damage in the bathroom. Our safe said “low battery” so we weren't able to use it during our stay but I'm more than sure if we had asked they would've addressed it very quickly because they're always on top of things like this. Everyelse was wonderful.

clf2006 (8/5): Breach of privacy - unfortunately. - I wanted to give this hotel a 5 star, but there is one specific reason why I couldn’t. We came to go to Disney and were at the park all day long. I left the do not disturb on my door because I did not want my room cleaned. I came back to a clean room. Then the next day, again housekeeping came in while my daughter was asleep - do not disturb on the door again. This is unacceptable. I stayed in room 280. We are Platinum Elite lifetime members and this really was a complete lack of awareness on the housekeeping staff. I spoke to someone at the desk and she did not seem to fully understand why this is a major issue and pretty much said she would let management know. Aside from this, we loved the location and the room was perfect for the two of us. I loved our balcony and pool view. Pool is super cute! We would return, but this housekeeping situation needs to be rectified immediately.

C5051UEkylem (10/5): RENAISSANCE LAKE BUENA VISTA DISNEY SPRINGS ORLANDO Our home away from home - We have been staying at this hotel for over 25 years from its was the Royal Plaza , B Resort and now Renaissance . The location is great so close to Disney Springs and the free transport to Disney is excellent , saves having to wait in queues for car park , trolly bus to and from car park and not to forget entrance fees . Our last stay in Nov was our first stay with the Renaissance (marriot) .The new managment team are amazing ,they went out of there way to welcome us back ( special shout out to Tim , Milly and Shauna ) you can clearly see they are passionate about wanting to make this hotel everyones favourite, even though it already is ours .They have been working away on many upgrades and what they have done so far is wonderful, the pool area, new games , lobby , rooms but especially the Disney Transport Free shuttle bus, its so easy to book with a QR code, you get a confirmation email , to secure your spot on the comfortable coach , the drivers we had on our route were fantastic , explaining pick up / drop off spots / times for each park, it saves the hassle and cost of car hire and car parking which cant be emphasied enough. We had a fantastic time cant wait for our next to trip back to Orlando and The Renaissance, our home away from home.

Mathew (1/5): Extremely disappointed and will not be staying at this Renaissance again. - The proximity to Disney Springs. The front desk staff were not very helpful and also somewhat rude. At check-in, we were told they had ran out of parking passes for our 2 parked cars and to come back for them "later". We were also given no explanation of the amenities of the hotel; for example, the shuttle to Disney Springs, the restaurant/bar, and more. We also did not know we had voucher for a free drink/appetizer until we got to our room and opened our pamphlet. From check-in, mid stay, and check-out, all of us were not pleased with the front desk service. Our room (163) was EXTREMELY difficult to open from both sides of the door - genuinely almost jammed and required lots of force to open. This was an inconvenience and lasted during the entire stay. We did not feel the need to replace the room due to how short of a stay we had and the experience we had already had with the front desk. Finally, the hotel has very limited options for food/snacks late night after the restaurant closes. We asked the front desk and there is allegedly no vending machines on property. As someone who stays in hotels 3-4 nights a week, this is very abnormal and so we had to spend money on delivery services.

megmarie19 (10/5): Perfect for quick Disney trips - My daughter and I have stayed here a couple times for quick Disney trips. It’s a nice location near Disney Springs, is much more affordable than Disney hotels and arguably nicer. The decor is fun and whimsical and the beds are comfortable. We didn’t use many of the facilities because we tend to stay late at the parks and leave early to get to the parks before they open. The breakfast shop has a decent selection and good coffee. Overall comfortable stay and the price is right. My only complaints are the extra parking fee and stark bathroom, but both are minor considering the price point.
Carolyn (5/5): It was okay - The breakfast was good The fact that even though I paid at time of booking there’s a $40.00 per day charge for parking in the hotel parking lot and additional fees for the room that has to be paid at the hotel. Total additional charges were $403.85 for 4 days.

Christian (1/5): THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER - Location. ⭐️ 1 Star — Extremely Disappointing Stay We chose to stay at this hotel because my wife previously had a great experience at a Renaissance property in Hamburg, so we decided to pay more with the expectation of similar quality and service. Unfortunately, this stay was the complete opposite. My wife has allergies, and we submitted special cleaning requests through the booking app right after reserving. These requests were ignored, and the housekeeping throughout our stay was unacceptable. On the first night, the room was visibly dirty — the floor had dust, the bed sheets had hair on them, and the shower also had hair left behind. The same situation repeated on the second and third nights, and surfaces were not properly cleaned. To make matters worse, our shampoo and conditioner were not even refilled. Every night we had to speak with the front desk, but instead of real solutions, we received excuses. The first night they offered to waive the resort fees, but we made it clear we weren’t looking for discounts — we just wanted a properly cleaned room. The second night, nothing was offered at all. On the third night, they repeated that the fees were already waived and said there was no housekeeping available. When we called again about the missing toiletries, the only solution offered was to move us to another room — and that room was also dirty. For the price they charge, this experience was unacceptable. The service and cleanliness were worse than what I’ve experienced in much cheaper 2–3 star hotels. Here, you’re paying for the brand name — not the quality or hospitality. We will not be returning, and we do not recommend this property, especially for guests with allergies or reasonable expectations of cleanliness.
