Lively area but the room was very quiet, with a comfortable bed and room darkening curtains to get a good sleep after walking Paris all day. Staff is so friendly and helpful. I would happily return.

- Andrew (4/5): - Property boasts soundproof rooms while you can hear neighbors clomping around above and adjacent to the room. Most importantly, the man at the front desk raised his voice at me about breakfast while the wait staff was being courteous in our discussion. The coffee in the room is only instant powder and if you ask downstairs for coffee, it’s €3. If the staff offers you a croissant, the man at the reception will tell you it’s €17 because that’s the cost of the breakfast and he can’t charge for only a croissant. Even though I didn’t ask for the croissant, he proceeded to scold me for having it on a plate because I didn’t include breakfast on my reservation. I left the croissant and coffee stating I’ll go out for these things but that he was being unreasonable and I wasn’t aware that the items carried a charge. As I got into the elevator to go back to my room, the wait staff ran over to bring me the coffee and croissants, telling me to take them. I refused

- Thomas (10/5): - We stayed here for 3 nights my wife said it was one of the comfiest beds she has ever slept in on any hotel (and we have been lucky enough to stay in some rather fancy ones. Really well appointed bathroom. Paris hotels are not famed for their size but all 6ft 3” of me found this perfect. The staff were amazing and went above and beyond to fix one small issue I had other hotels can learn from this 100% would stay again plus some really amazing neighbourhood restaurants within a 10 min walk of the hotel, safe area also.

Gare de Nord is not so nice right around the station--but the location is centrally located and right near the metro. This is rated as a 4- star hotel. It is really 3.5 stars. Quiet street is a plus.

- Paul (6/5): - The staff at the Parisianer were wonderful. We arrived from an overnight flight and the desk staff put our luggage in storage until a room could be made available. He had us in a room by 9:00 am and we were able to get a nap before heading out. The facilities and rooms are very clean although some of the lobby chairs could use a cleaning. Now for the bad, the thermostat didn’t work in our room so we could not cool the room down at night. Because there was so much noise in the street we couldn’t open the windows to cool the room. The hotel is located across from the service entrance to another larger hotel and they are constantly moving stuff in and out of there at all times of the night. The tv had very limited stations, I’m thinking that the tv channel programming was not up to date. The hotel offers a breakfast. It was ok except that there are many more options in the area, from cafes to patisseries .

Small (not tight) as expected in this city for the rate offered but a decent size compared to similar nearby hotels. This was perfect for my partner and I. Would stay here again.

Really appreciated staff at this hotel update us our luggage arrived from airport delivery even at midnight as told and they understood our urgency.

Lots of local restaurants, cafes with many open late. The breakfast was a bit less than I expected for the price, but it was still good quality.

The hotel staff were great, upgrading our room to an executive room when our original booking wasn't available. The breakfast was good. The street was noisy for a ground floor room, though.

Hotel is just beside a metro station so super easy to access all the main areas you wish to visit. We walked from hotel to a few attractions also. The decor is beautiful, the bathroom fantastic, all clarins products in the bathroom and the bed is super big and comfy! Highly recommend

- Samantha (6/5): - If you are coming from CDG, know your commute by car will be long. If you are coming from Orly, you will probably reach in under 30 mins. There was construction right in front of the hotel, so it made going in and out hard. Especially since the grounds were like sandish/mud due to the constant rain. Not good for suitcases. And I’m not entirely sure it was mentioned when reviewing the hotel initially. The hotel is steps away from Gare de Lyon, which is connected to everything. Absolutely loved that. Note it is about 40 mins via train from the Eiffel area. Also 1.25 hrs from Versailles. (Tip- get the day pass for zones 1-4. You can use that for the whole day and it will cover transportation to and from Versailles) The majority of the staff were pretty helpful. Decor was beautiful and matched the pictures. Though the ease and use of certain things were lacking. The room had a lip at the door, that if you weren’t conscious of you could easily trip. The only full length mirror in the room was on the wall where you hung your clothes. Thus blocked when something was hanging so not usable. Speaking for my room alone, it was extremely dusty. The bedding was consistently stained and the mattress protector honestly needs to be thrown away. The shower head was also in terrible condition and appeared to not have been washed in a long time. Due to the cleanliness that we personally experienced for the room, I cannot say that we will stay here again.

- Eydie (10/5): - I chose this hotel because it was close to the train station but was pleasantly surprised at how much I liked the neighborhood! At the suggestion of the staff we walked across the Viaduct (among the spontaneous salsa dancing) through the Place de Bastille and into Ile St Louis for the best dinner (and ice cream) we had the entire 2 weeks we were in France. The room itself, although small (you pretty much have to keep most things in your suitcase) was very clean and comfortable. We had a super comfy king sized bed. The bathroom was very nice and the provided Clarins lotion smelled heavenly. The breakfast was quite good and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We would've gladly stayed there longer than one night.

- Graeme (10/5): Perfect Little Hotel - We chose the property for the location by the Gare De Lyon, walked there easily from the train. We were greeted warmly and our reservations were in order. Important note, breakfast is not included in your rate (but it's very good!)

If we were staying for longer than one night, we would have pressed the issue. Otherwise, perfect! The decor of the lobby and rooms were so cute!
