- Arina (1/5): Avoid this hotel at all costs - the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced - I’m a frequent traveler, and this is the first review I’ve ever written - because this is genuinely the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. Customer service is nonexistent. We were forced to wait until after 4pm to check in despite more than 50 rooms being available, the front desk simply decided to make us wait simply because they could. I hold the highest status on Booking.com and was due an upgraded room; instead, they gave us one of the worst rooms in the property. When we finally got into the room, is was not clean and there was a human bodily fluid stain on the couch. The hotel manager did not promptly clean it and refused to move us to a clean room. We had to escalate this all the way up to Hyatt corporate before anyone would switch our room. On top of that, the hotel had no running water for over 12 hours. and not once did anyone apologize or even acknowledge the inconvenience. In fact, throughout this entire ordeal, the staff never used the word “sorry.” Not once. When we raised concerns, they actually threatened to kick us out of the hotel if we kept complaining. To top it all off, they charged us $260 in incidentals - despite zero damage to the room and no incidentals purchased/used. This is the meanest, most disrespectful hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Hyatt needs to conduct a serious audit of this property and its management.

Especially the lobby as it was perfect to work from and had a lovely calm energy for calls. Great bathroom and shower which was important to me. The room was very small though so struggled to find space for my luggage. Would have appreciated complimentary water as this wasn't provided and the mini bar was very expensive.

- Valerie (4/5): It was a real disappointment. - The location was great, the bed was very comfortable, and it was nice to be able to spread out. The room wasn't ready until 5:00, an hour past the check-in time. We wanted a quiet room but got one on the 6th floor that was right next to a vent on a roof next door that was always running. The heat for the whole building wasn't on the first night when we got back after dinner and it wasn't until 9:30 that it was comfortable in our bedroom. Then one of the toilets broke the next day and when they fixed it they took away the trash can in that bathroom--it felt like one thing after another. When we checked out and the person asked if everything was okay, I said no, and she apologized but with no eye contact. I just didn't feel that anyone cared. We had a great stay last time a few months ago, but this was terrible.

We did have to walk a lot but we were okay with walking under a mile to get to most locations. Subway very close and also used Ubers and Taxis. The location was perfect, we were able to walk to most of our destinations - the subway was also a short walk away. The room was perfect, the only 'con' was being able to hear everything in the hallway. Although it is an old building, so can understand - there also aren't many rooms per floor, so it's not consistently loud.

The furnishings are lovely and the staff was absolutely amazing for our whole stay. The resort fees are getting out of control in NYC, in my opinion. This hotel is no unusual case. The entry/stairs were just sometimes a bit crowded. And, of course, the room is really small which was fine overall but we really struggled to find spots to put luggage of any real size, so this is more for people traveling light.

La possibilité de laisser ses bagages en avance et de pouvoir attendre, dans le bar du hall, le départ est chouette. Le personnel est toujours sympathique. Je recommande cet hôtel pour un séjour en plein cœur de Manhattan. Le quartier autour est super, le métro est à 2 minutes à pied ! Enfaite chambre avec « vue » veux simplement dire qu’il y a une fenêtre, faire attention, nous avions vu sur une autre façade de l’hôtel à 2 m de la fenêtre. Ça c’était assez décevant. - angelabY8870JX (10/5): Hotel Seville - NoMad - We stayed in a room on the 6th floor with 2 queen beds. The rooms are not large but for a cute boutique hotel like this it’s expected. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming! The bar tender is great, even gave us a drink as he was closing up. This hotel is within walking distance to restaurants, shops, and subway stations. There is a restaurant onsite, and a speakeasy on the basement floor - NOTE: the speakeasy (Seville) and the hotel (also Seville) are NOT related! You need a reservation for the speakeasy, it doesn’t matter if you’re a hotel guest. We tried and were turned away. It looked like it was a fun place! They had great music going - we were sad we couldn’t have experienced it. We had a corner room - we heard NO noise from other rooms or the street.

- Leticia (6/5): Lo unico bueno de este hotel es la ubicación y el lobby. - Nos hospedamos en uan suite, y como opcion de cama para mis hijas fue el sofa cama, el cual estab amuy viejo el incomodo, se sentia undido y los resortes. el sofa cama viejo, en varias ocaciones nos falto ropa de cama y toallas, las solicitábamos y tardaban en llevar, insistiamos y nunca contestaban en recepcion, teniamos que bajar a pedir las cosas. No habia cafetera, las amenidades muy basicas y la habitacion muy sencilla.

Do not pay more than $200 a night for this. 25k points a night is a waste. No idea how this is a category 6 property. The worse Hyatt room I’ve been in. The good: hotel lobby and staff are good. The bar drinks were great and even though we didn’t use the fitness center or restaurants they seemed very nice. The bad: the room. Terribly furnished. No luggage rack, no storage for clothes. Had to leave luggage and clothes on floor. There’s one tiny closet that fits maybe 3 coats. No floor length mirror. Not ideal for a winter stay. The tv offered no streaming services nor air play so you could only watch cable. Completely outdated experience. Blinds are not fully light blocking.
