- KikiBham (8/5): Great location, nice hotel but be careful of charges - Hotel lobby and breakfast buffet area are beautiful and well kept. Although both seemed very warm (possibly no A/C) Room was a bit old but updated as best as could be for such an old building. Bathroom was quite large and nice. Hotel towels and robes were also very nice. Hotel is in a great location and close to the Duomo. I couldn’t figure out the A/C so in the morning we would open the windows to let the room cool off. I woke up on day three with mosquito bites all over my face and body. Informed the front desk and they had the chambermaid come and out a pest plug in the room. Hotel was kind to leave a bottle of wine in our room for our anniversary. Breakfast buffet was very ample. We also enjoyed the rooftop bar. Upon checking out were were asked to leave a tip in percentage ( for what we thought was our drinks at the rooftop bar). After looking closely, the percentage was on our entire stay which totaled well over 200 euros. We felt this was in poor taste for them to ask this because we were not asked to do that at any of our other stays throughout Italy or the rest of Europe.

Amazing location just steps from the Duomo and close to all the main tourist sites, as well as lots of restaurants and bars. My single room had a view of the Duomo, which was incredible. The Hotel is a beautiful, classic Italian hotel and the staff are incredible. Highly recommended.

- Ustaritz (4/5): Beautiful room to look at but not comfortable for the price - Set in an aged grand building, this hotel appears to be ideal but it is not. The room was huge and ornate but dark and lights required all day. This compatres to a smaller room that we saw at the back that was very light. The electics are appalling. The nearest on either side of the bed (very comfortable ones) were at least 10 feet away so no phone charging over night and it was a choice of your phone, the minibar (in this day and age do people use this for overpriced drinks?) or the coffee machine!! It also meant to use your phone while charging, you had to sit on the floor. There is no point anywhere near the ornate table/desk. The bed side lights required hersellf to get out of bed to reach the switch - until we were able to turn the whole table, to which the light was stuck, around. When I tried to explain all this at Reception they sent someone up who was from maintenance and really did not understand Englsh but we managed to communicate with our hands and he came back with extention leads The wifi was very slow - presumably due to the walls - but I believe that this could be overcome with more boosters? And for over 400 euro a night - cardboard cups? Maybe an Italian thing but went down like a lead balloon for us..........

The room isn’t large but it’s very comfortable; the breakfast is excellent and the staff are kind, polite and helpful. A wonderful stay in a 16th-century palazzo.

- Elena (10/5): - Our stay was wonderful. The hotel has a perfect location, close to all the main attractions, which made everything very convenient. The staff were very helpful, especially with parking arrangements. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and everything met our expectations. The only thing we didn’t like was the parking cost — it was 85 euros per day, which felt quite expensive.

You’re no more than a two‑minute stroll from the Duomo and many of the city’s most iconic sights, making it an unbeatable base for exploring. The rooftop bar is a real highlight. With its panoramic views across Florence, it feels intimate, stylish, and effortlessly cool. Service from the barman was excellent throughout. It’s popular for good reason, so I’d definitely recommend reserving a table as it fills up quickly. Breakfast was superb, offering a generous variety of high‑quality options. The WiFi was reliable throughout the hotel, and the rooms were immaculate—spotlessly clean, refreshed daily, and maintained to a very high standard. There’s absolutely no doubt in our minds: we’ll be returning. Ciao!

- 552jacquic (10/5): A very pleasant stay - The hotel is very central which made it easy navigating Florence. The staff were very friendly and helpful giving advice on transport. The rooftop terrace is lovely if a night time. The terrace does get busy so best to book. Don’t take big bags as there is quite a walk from the tram stop. There is a very nice cafe round the corner but plenty of other places to grab a coffee and cake. The piazza 2 minutes walk away is handy for food and drinks if you do not want to walk far after an exhausting day of walking. Plenty of places to eat around too. Prices of food are pretty much the same. The Yellow bar next door to the hotel does lovely food.

- 203georginan (10/5): The best hotel! - Firstly the location is impeccable, 5/10 minute walk to everything. The duomo/statue of David/majority of the piazzas/the ponte bridge/- the hotel itself is stunning beautiful architecture and design. Spotlessly clean and tidy every amenity you need in the room. The staff are wonderful - so polite and helpful. We ended up having to move room due to a plumbing issue in the bathroom and the staff were incredible, helped us move to our new room, kept apologising to us for the inconvenience but it was no problem for us and their helpfulness and attitude made it less of a problem. Wonderful lovely people. We’re planning on coming back in a couple of years and we will be here again!

- LUCIANE (9/5): Very good hotel - The hotel has a perfect location, close to the main tourist attractions. The lobby is lovely, and everything is clean and well-organized. Breakfast was delicious and very complete, and the staff was polite and helpful. The rooftop offers an amazing view! The room is small, especially with two twin beds, but typical for the city. I was on the second floor, with a few steps in the corridor, so it may not be fully accessible for everyone.
