Guest Reviews
- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely large flat for families - the appartment could not be better located- it's in a charming alley in campo de Fiori, walking distance from everything you may want to see in Rome. I loved the authentic experience of having a place bang in the middle of Rome. The place is quite large, and quirky with stairways to rooms (note: there are lots of stairs, even to access the flat itself, so keep in mind if mobility-impaired or having lots of luggage). Having said that, we were travelling with children and they didnt mind - we just stored the buggy at the entrance. The owners were also all too happy to provide a cot and a rollaway bed for us. It is obviously not a new place, so it has signs of age, and it is true the facilities are little run down - but it was clean throughout. The terrrace was another bonus, even in October, where we enjoyed breakfast in the morning and aperitivos in the evening. We really had a lovely stay here.
- PATRICIA (4/5): - The property is not as advertised. Firstly, the refrgerator is not full size. The "stove top" is a portable single burner. There was NO oven. There was limited cookware. NO knife to cut bread. The free toiletries included a half bottle of Head and Shoulders shampoo, a half bottle of body wash, four single use packets of "body shampoo"and a 1 inch square of facial soap. We received one set of towels each...no face cloths, just large towels. There was one dish towel. We asked for additional towels and were initially told we could only get one set each (for the 8 day stay) but then received a second set each when they came to replace the first hairdryer that didn't work. They promptly delivered a second which the cord was so twisted the electrical wires were exposed. My friend received a slight shock while drying her hair. We subsequently covered the open area with a bandaid. There is one ductless air conditioner which was wholly inadequate. The outside terrace was accessible only by steep ladder to a third floor. The tile stairs from 2nd to 1st floor were slippery and 2/3 of it have no handrail or walls to hang onto. We purchased batteries for the kitchen clock and tv remote as they were not working when we arrived. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY OF ALL>>>THERE IS NO STAND UP SHOWER. THERE IS A 1/2 TUB, THE SIZE OF A SLOP SINK WITH A SLANTED WALL (BENEATH A STAIRCASE?). ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! - NO SHOWER AND NO BATHTUB LARGE ENOUGH TO SIT IN (AND WHO WOULD WANT TO?)
