- md115 (10/5): Truly outstanding 5-star hotel - We had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Lancaster. Individual aspects are summarized below. Check in: Very smooth, completed online ahead of arrival. Location: Excellent central location. 5 mintue walk to Champs Elysee, 2-3 miles to arrondisemments 1-9. Despite central location it was quiet. Doorstaff: Pleasant, helpful and friendly. Communication: Excellent with rapid response (< 24 hours) to email questions prior to our arrival. Quick response to all questions during our stay. Breakfast: Excellent selection with well prepared hot and cold options, fresh bread and fruit. Staff was excellent, especially Benoit who made us feel welcome at every visit. Room: Excellent with a desk, two chairs, extensive storage space, a shoe rack, large clothes closet and small safe. The bed was large and comfortable. The bathroom very nice with thick towels. Sound insulation was excellent. Hosekeeping: Superb during the week with daily turn down service. Somewhat erratic during the weekend without replenisment of bathroom supplies. The hotel is spotless, and overall very well maintained. Checkout: Online, very smooth I would 100% recommend, and hope to return.
- 123TheJP (10/5): Great Boutique Hotel - Would Recommend - We returned to The Lancaster again on our way back to the UK. The hotel has charm and elegance. The rooms have that rustic French faded grandeur, are well equipped and comfortable. The service is welcoming, professional and individual (Mel on the Front Desk should be commended), all the dinner recommendations were extremely good and all arrangements made for us were faultless. An issue to do with hot water was dealt with and resolved in good time. Our room service breakfast was delivered within 15mins and was delicious. For Paris, the price of the rooms I consider to be fair. We hope to return again soon.
- bradrZ126GM (10/5): Magical Gem located in the heart of Paris - The hotel Lancaster is absolutely amazing. It’s not inexpensive, but the level of service and the amazing atmosphere is truly unique. I love walking away from a vacation, knowing that every dime I spent was worth it. The concierge went out of his way to help us find a short notice New Year’s Eve dinner reservation, he even orchestrated a horse and carriage ride for me and my children. I would highly recommend this place. This was a trip of a lifetime, largely due to the hotel Lancaster. I can’t recommend them enough.
- Annmarianox (10/5): 10/10 - We have had an amazing stay at Hotel Lancaster. The staff was welcoming, courteous and made our stay special as we were celebrating a special occasion. Our Deluxe room was spacious and comfortable, with all the amenities we required. The decor was tasteful and the beds were extremely comfortable. The breakfast was superb, delicious and high quality. The hotel location was perfect for exploring central Paris and celebrating New Years Eve. We can't wait to visit again!
- jenb12125 (6/5): Friendly Staff, But A Little Rough Around The Edges - This was our 2nd time staying at the Hotel Lancaster and although the first time, which was a few years ago we an excellent experience, this time was a bit of a let down. The small, boutique vibe of the hotel is very nice, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful, but unfortunately it seems that hotel could use some maintenance. We noticed many areas of chipped paint in the hallways and just a general sense of neglect, but not in all areas of the hotel. The bar had been re-done/updated since our last visit and it looked great. In terms of our room, it was a supposed upgrade, however it was one of those rooms that seemed to be shoe-horned into a space that was too small. The toilet was in a separate and very small closet off of the bathroom and it was awkward to say the least. The bathroom itself was poorly lit. One bright spot was the bed - it was very comfortable. We visited the lobby bar a couple of times, and one of the bartenders was excellent and very friendly. Unfortunately on the 2nd visit to the bar, he was not working and the bartender we had seemed to be poorly trained. We also ordered food on the this visit to the bar and it was almost inedible. The location is just off the Champs-Élysées, which is ok, but most of the restaurants and areas we tend to visit when in Paris are on the other side of town so we don't think we will be staying at the Lancaster again.
- borneo88 (10/5): Timeless elegance, gracious staff, modern conveniences - Hotel Lancaster in Paris is an institution with 100 years of history. The hotel is ideally situated just a few steps from the Champs Elysees, yet traffic in Rue de Berri is much less crowded. The rooms are supremely comfortable with heavenly beds. The air conditioning systems keeps a constant temperature and operates silently. We could individually adjust the temperature of the bed room and sitting room. The double glazing keeps noise from the street out and the white marble bathrooms with solid metal fittings are built for eternity. There is an excellent and plentiful selection of luxury French bathroom products available. What really stands out is the highly personal and super friendly service. The chief concierge, Monsieur Eric, spent a lot of time “rescuing” our reservation for a Seine dinner cruise which my wife erroneously booked on the wrong date. Monsieur Eric went out of his way to deal with the cruise company even before our arrival in the hotel. Monsieur Eric not just wears the golden keys of the clefs d’or concierge organisation but he is the golden heart and soul of the hotel. His team always greeted us upon entering and leaving the hotel and all the transportation arrangements were perfect. Breakfast in the Monsieur Restaurant of the hotel is a delightful start to the day with a very good selection of breads, juices, cold cuts, smoked salmon and cheese available buffet style and hot egg dishes can be ordered à la carte. When a friend from Normandy visited we had lunch in the hotel restaurant and the set lunch at Euro 49.00 is excellent value for money and the food quality is very high. The hotel celebrates its centenary in November and the service and product quality of this establishment is like precious French wine, it just gets better over time.

- 660missis (10/5): Elegant Boutique Hotel - We recently stayed at the Hotel Lancaster for our first visit to Paris, and it was absolutely fantastic! From the moment we arrived and and were greeted by the doorman, to our departure 4 days later, everyone we interacted with at Hotel Lancaster was truly wonderful and made us feel so welcome! Originally built as a mansion and now in business as a hotel for 100 years (there is a great display in the lobby celebrating their 100-year anniversary that makes a nice background for a photo), Hotel Lancaster is located on a 1-way street right off the Champs-Elysées near the Arc de Triomphe - close to many things but in a quiet, safe location. Our room - an Executive Room on the 7th floor - had two balconies with a view across the rooftops to the Eiffel Tower (great for watching the Tower as it sparkles at night). The room was beautiful - a mix of antiques and modern with a really comfortable bed, a great sitting area for a little extra space, and a large marble bathroom. It was impeccably clean and quiet - a perfect haven for us! We didn't get a chance to enjoy lunch or dinner at the restaurant, but the breakfasts were wonderful - a mix of continental (the croissants and bread were amazing) and many other items that could be ordered off the menu. A very heartfelt thank you to everyone at Hotel Lancaster who made our first trip to Paris such a special one - we will definitely be back!

The staff were exceptional and really knew how to make guests feel special. The breakfast was divine and the hotel was very clean. The ambience of the hotel and its furnishings were first rate.

On the first evening our room was facing the street and there was a fair bit of noise from construction until the latter hours. We respectfully asked the front desk if they could move us as we were eligible for an upgrade from booking through AMEX (but it wasn't available the day we arrived). The next morning we had to leave early for touring and we received a call that they had secured an upgraded room facing the courtyard but everything would have to be moved before we had plans to return to the hotel that afternoon. So they methodically moved every piece of our belongings (as well as items from the safe) to the new (Very nice) upgraded room and took great care with our belongings. Additionally, throughout the stay, the front desk managers could not have been more attentive and helpful with any requests we had. Highly recommend this hotel for its service, accommodations as well as excellent location!

Located in one of best locations at champs Elysee, this hotel turned out to be one of the finest places in. Paris. From the doorman to the front desk the first impression set the tone to an unforgettable experience. A unique boutique hotel with a cosmopolitan French charm. The room decor is modern and luxurious exuding a welcoming warmth. Breakfast was good with a combination of buffet and à la carte menu included served to the table. Every member we interacted with was worthy of praise and would not do justice to name only a few. Must congratulate the management team and every member of the team for delivering such an exceptional experience.

- RFKMMK (8/5): Beautiful, classic and well-positioned hotel that could solve problems a little better. - This is a classic smaller hotel in a fabulous location. It is beautiful, comfortable, and the staff is very pleasant, particularly those who work the breakfast shift who were delightful. The credit card we used to book the room included an automatic free room upgrade if a room is available. We were originally denied the upgrade and told the hotel was full. We do not believe it was full. On our second evening there was a private party in the inner courtyard that ended at 10:30 PM and was noisy enough to be upsetting but understandable and tolerable. What was intolerable is that their maintenance crew cleaned up and moved furniture around until after 11:30, talking loudly and slamming furniture around. When I went to the lobby to complain they did quiet down and the next morning we were given the room upgrade. Perhaps it was coincidental but I think otherwise. I cannot say that I would or would not stay there again but also cannot say that my experience there was not good. It was just a little disappointing.
- 677amayal (10/5): Fabulous stay and we are coming back again! - I visited this hotel last July with my sister for a short Paris shopping trip. The staff at the Lancaster made us feel so welcome and even upgraded our room! We felt like we were being treated like royalty from the start and no request wasn't too much for the front desk. I would like to thank them for making us feel so welcome. We even decided to visit Paris again this July and book the same hotel. It is located very near Champs Elysses and great central location. Highly recommend the Lancaster Hotel.

- 793puddie (10/5): Excellent, classic hotel with spacious guest rooms - prime location - Beautiful classic French design in an intimate setting. The rooms are lovely, and well-appointed. The hotel staff were lovely. The concierge were outstanding. Housekeeping prompt, efficient, thorough. We tried to pack light and used laundry, no issues and timely delivery. Quiet, despite being just off Champs Élysées. Walkable to great shops, Place de Concorde, Eiffel Tower (20ish minutes), Seine, Arc de Triomphe, etc. We did a casual walk to the Louvre in 30 minutes. Safe and accessible area. Depending which way you venture from the hotel (I.e., away from tourist attractions), knowing some French is helpful. Do not assume everyone speaks English. You should at least learn some basics, as a courtesy and for ease of communicating (and respect). The only thing we weren’t crazy about was the showers (old school, vintage, charming but an adventure! Some rooms might have modern showers, ours did not), and the bar/restaurant was lackluster. We love a proper upscale hotel bar with great hours. It could be we went just before the busy season, but some of the staff need to learn the beauty of gauging a room, and quieting service when the place is empty (I.e. flair bartending doesn’t fit, save it for trendy bars). But, the wine list, although small, was great. Cocktails were good. We didn’t eat there a lot but the food was good when we did. Room service was also great. They took great care of us on our 10yr wedding anniversary. Thank you, Hotel Lancaster! C’est très bien. À la prochaine!

This made it easy to attend meetings nearby while also enjoying upscale dining and the Parisian atmosphere after work hours. The business amenities were top-notch: high-speed Wi-Fi, a spacious desk in the room, and access to quiet areas for focused work. The hotel also offers a refined meeting room that impressed my clients — a rare combination of elegance and practicality. If you're a business traveler looking for luxury, efficiency, and a central location, Hôtel Lancaster is the perfect fit. I’ll definitely return on my next business trip to Paris!

The rooms are spacious and the bed and linen were so comfortable. Breakfast was first class and, again, the waiting staff was so professional. The location is very central and close to so many attractions. Would definitely return.

The hotel is beautiful, stylish, and typically Parisian in decor, however the rooms (we had a deluxe room, and would highly recommend this), were spacious and beautifully decorated. The bed is one of the comfiest I've slept on. The staff were warm, , helpful, inviting and so lovely to deal with. The lady on the desk helped us find tickets for Crazy Horse (13th Feb), even though they were sold out online, and the seats were excellent. She also went above and beyond to help with the rest of our stay. We received a few lovely touches including flowers in the room. Overall, a fantastic experience. We cannot wait to come back. With perfect location to the shopping on the Champs-Élysées, you cannot go wrong. Thank you to everyone that works there. Doing an awesome job.

- refsoxdave (10/5): One Night in Paris - We stayed at Hotel Lancaster before traveling to Egypt, just one night this time - our second stay at this gem. We love the location and the warm and friendly staff here! We were immediately upgraded to a gigantic suite, and given a quick tour of a few spots that were refurbished since our last stay a few years ago - a nice touch. The bar is pretty stunning, one of our favorite stops. Grab a drink in the bar - you’ll love it. You can throw a rock from the front door of the Lancaster and it lands on the Champs Elysees - that’s how close. The staff here is just marvelous: the Lancaster is not a chain hotel, but an intimate, smaller place that embraces you. The attention to detail reflects how they feels about their guests. We love to travel and stay at great hotels. The Lancaster always reminds us why we are so fond of it. We shall return!!

We were given an upgrade on our room on arrival, the bed was very comfortable, also very quiet, room was a great standard of cleanliness and decor was beautiful. We were given information and walk through of our room and a background of the hotel which was lovely. We have stayed in many 5* hotels and this was the first thorough walk through. Breakfast was great, you order from the menu and they have small continental buffet also. Service was perfect. Offered the use of their hotel car to get to dinner which was a lovely touch. The only missing piece we would have liked would have been a full length mirror and milk for the coffee/tea in the room. Other than that, highly recommend.

Hotel is super clean, housekeeping services is beyond expectations. Hotel conveniently located within walking distance of Arc de triumph, there are many shops and cafes around. Rooms are beautiful, beds are very comfortable. We stayed there to celebrate birthdays and was pleasantly surprised with all the extras and special attention from hotel staff. I was there for work for a week and my husband decided to join me for the weekend, we had been to Paris before so didn’t make any plans and just relied on the concierge - who made sure we had reservations at some very cool places every single night. Overall, amazing stay and highly recommend.

Front desk offered to show me a larger room for upgrade, but the one assigned was on the top floor with a balcony - so that was an easy decision. And from my balcony, we had a surprise view of the top of the Eiffel Tower. The breakfast was phenomenal - the food was delicious, dining room was beautiful but Benoit, his service made it memorable…he was so friendly, funny, and kind. The location is just off of Champ Elysees so made for easy shopping. I loved my stay here - exactly the Parisian experience I wanted - and can’t wait to come back!

- Verified traveler (10/5): Best place to stay in Paris! - Staying at Hotel Lancaster was a dream. From our arrival we were treated with the utmost respect and white-glove service. The entire team from the bellmen, front desk, housekeeping and even laundry service was impeccable. The breakfast at the restaurant downstairs was delicious and had many options available. Location is absolutely perfect right off of the large Main Street of Champs Elysées with quick access to great restaurants, shopping, as well as a quick walk to the Eiffel Tower. For my 6 year old son, our stay made him feel extra special as they prepared a lovely bathrobe, slippers, children’s shampoo and body wash as well as a cute note with a colouring book. I highly recommend Hotel Lancaster for a stay in Paris - we will be back in a few months for sure!

The hotel is excellent, ideally placed just off the Champs Elysees just round the corner from the Arc de Triomphe and within walking distance of the Eiffel Tower. The staff were all very friendly and helpful and made our stay very special.

The windows are open and there is magically an additional Dyson hair dryer in the room. Very disappointing service for such an expensive hotel
