Staff were exceptional, Anna & Fiona helped us with many things including a broken suitcase which we are very greatful of, they both went out of their way to help. Plus some English conversation and Vietnamese language help 😊👍

- Michał (9/5): Great localization and very nice staff - Location is great, even though it is in the city center it was rather quiet, at least during the night. Also our room was at the end of the long corridor, so we haven't had neighbours. Staff was very friendly, they allowed us to take quick shower after checkout in some other room (around 8PM), because we had late flight. We took the Deluxe room and it was fine, but because of shower we saw other one with lower standard and it was worth to additionally pay for it, however we treated it mostly as a place to sleep. We had problems to set proper water temperature in the shower, there was sometimes unpleasent smell in the reception. Emergency exit was in strange place, behind the bed there was a hidden door in the wall and some space to enter external stairs. I read some reviews complaining about it but it wasn't a problem for us.

Some of the rooms are not nearly as nice as those in the photos. Also, there is no fire escape in some rooms, totally reliant on the old lift (no stairs) and windows barred.

Tot diep in de nacht hoor je heel duidelijk mensen praten, verkeer enz enz. De kamer is erg smal aan de kant van het voeteneind van het bed. Wij hebben regelmatig onze teen/been hard gestoken.

We booked a family room but they upgraded us to a 2 room stay instead since they said the family room might have been a little too small. We were promised to get room 601 and 602 so we can be on the same floor as we checked in at 8am. The room wasn't ready yet but they told us we will be in those rooms. I couldn't check in until 7pm since I had an appointment. I asked the front desk if my friend can come check in during check in time and they said it was fine. When he came to check in they didn't give both rooms to him and only 1 room. But we had the booking all in the same bookings. So when I got there at 7pm they gave our room 602 to a different family. It was a little frustrating because we planned to be on the same level or room so its easier to communicate. Instead they moved us to room 402. I asked the front desk why and they said they gave it to a different family which was dumb because we were already promised that room. I don't understand why they didnt give the other family room 402 instead of 602 We were there for only 1 night. We contacted the manager Bryan about the problem and he let us check out at 2pm but we didn't really have to. The rooms are alittle small but it'll do

De kamers bieden wat ze moeten bieden, maar we hebben wel 2 nachten in verschillende kamers doorgebracht. Daardoor hadden we het gevoel dat we steeds een upgrade kregen. De faciliteiten zijn lichtjes verouderd, maar nog steeds comfortabel.

This is not an isolated issue pertaining only to this hotel but rather is seems to be the theme here in Vietnam. I'm not sure if they have mattress toppers/memory foam toppers as I've not seen it anywhere... Our bathroom did not have any hand towels or floor towels however issue was easily resolved by asking at the front desk.

The fotos of the do some how match, but have been heavily changed to look better. Breakfast is not an option at all. In the ground floor is the SPA and above are rooms.
- Pierre-Antoine (8/5): Un bon point de chute pour visiter la ville pour une première fois. - Sa proximité du centre était commode, malgré le bruit constant des milliers de scooters dans ces rues de la vieille ville. Le personnel d’accueil était charmant et facile de communiquer avec. La chambre était très propre, rafraîchie tous les jours, les toilettes également. Eau chaude immédiate. Lit fermé mais confortable. Ascenseur pour monter au septième étage. La chambre précisait vue sur le lac. C’était techniquement vrai, mais ledit lac était caché à 90% par l’immeuble d’en face. On n’en voyait donc qu’une partie minuscule. Mais pour autant, j’avais une vue sur les toits, donc avec de la lumière. Pas sûr que les chambres des étages inférieurs aient eu ce privilège. Par ailleurs, compte tenu du style de construction des immeubles de Hanoi (5 ou 6 mètres de large et tout en profondeur), la chambre était vraiment très étroite.
- Mercedes (7/5): Bien situado pero algo descuidado - Estaba en una de las calles principales, en pleno centro de Hanoi a 5 min del lago. El personal fue muy amable y servicial. Me dieron una habitación en la última planta, a la que no llegaba el ascensor y recibía el sol directo durante todo el día, lo cual la hacía muy calurosa. Por suerte el aire acondicionado funcionaba. La habitación era un poco pequeña y tenía algunos agujeros en las paredes que dejaban ver el exterior. El baño era algo antiguo y necesitaba una reforma, pero era funcional. También había muchas hormigas por todas partes (sin meter en ningún momento comida en la habitación) y se metían en los zapatos. El secador era completamente inutilizable, el plastico exterior estaba derretido, no era seguro usarlo.

To say we were unhappy is an understatement We then stayed at the Amorita boutique hotel, the staff were lovely but had to remind them to service our room, the bathroom was dated cracked tiles and looks behind the bathroom door
