Hair dryer is broken I had to call again to fix. Safety box was not working I had to call them . Room condition is horrible I don’t recommend anyone to go there very expensive when you consider the room condition and facility in the hotel

- Rainer (8/5): Cozy hotel in busy Zamalek - The Flamenco Hotel is a good alternative when you look for an affordable hotel on the really interesting Gezira Island. The service is very good. The only thing I missed was a pool.

- Dorothy (8/5): - The hotel is only a block away from the Nile and the River Bank dining/recreational facility, so very convenient. Restaurants nearby. Staff were super, very friendly. The hotel was a mixture of old and new. We were in one of the older rooms, smaller but clean. I had been worried about outside noises, but this was not an issue and we slept well. I would stay here again.

- Manuel (8/5): - The hotel was good but need to focus on the conditions of the room, even we get a suite, we find the curtains detached from the rail (High that we cannot access) letting the light in and bothering to sleep and the frigobar wasn't working. We reported this things early in the morning and told us they'll fix them, we return in the afternoon and have to request them to be fixed 3 times before the fix it. The amability of the personnel is very good and the breakfast was good

- Ahmed (10/5): - Front desk staff was amazing, everything I requested during my stay, they helped me on getting it in prompt time, they are polite and friendly. Housekeeping lady was also doing her job efficiently, I would like to send special thanks to her but unfortunately I forgot her name. Morning breakfast was very good and staff help in the service are nice. The only issue I faced that the was no water in the bathroom in one day durung my stay. I complained to them, they said there was a problem in water supply for the whole neighborhood. But it was back in couple of hours. Ovetall it was a good experience for me, Egyptian in common are very friendly and gelpful. Definitely I will come again.

- Kyle (8/5): - Great breakfast options! Out of the six hotels I stayed at during my two week trip to Egypt the Golden Tulip probably had the best options for breakfast. The room needed a bit of work and repairs but overall I would stay at this property again. The location on Zamalek makes the area around the hotel very safe and good for walking to restaurants around the island.

- Albert (2/5): Most disgustingly filthy hotel - OUR ROOM WAS DISGUSTINGLY FILTHY - SHOCKING. Refer pictures attached - they speak for themselves: * The room had clearly not been cleaned / wiped for a very long time. I used sanitising wipes to clean the bedside tables. One wipe and they were black. * The drain would not empty - this prompted us to pull half a cup of hair from the drain. * The mould was thick and black around the bath edge. * Linen was threadbare and duvet inners had stains. * Curtains had holes in them. * We could scratch the filth off the TV remove with our nails. * Shower rail was pulled out the wall. * Soap dish contained soap residue from previous travellers. * Carpets had stains. * Lampshades were broken. * Bedside table was hanging at 30-degree angle. * Very dated décor to 1970's..
- Jorge (6/5): Okay Choice - The staff was really nice and accommodating. The hotel was very clean, though it has definitely seen better days. It’s outdated and the air conditioning is very noisy. Other than that, my stay was enjoyable. The hotel is located in Zamalek, which is supposed to be the posh area of tow, but it definitely didn’t look like it. The area is very safe, and we could walk around late at night without feeling insecure.

We went to the hotel cafe while waiting for our room to get ready. We have ordered two coffee but they didn’t bring them to us. We waited 20min and left the cafe.

Carpets are old and disgusting. Wi-Fi provided by the hotel is a nightmare: you are only allowed to connect 2 devices per room, and even that connection sometimes barely works.

- Saib (8/5): A decent hotel to stay in - the hotel was located in decent area of the city ,the hotel was clean and the service was good, the location is close to most major areas of the city. it is frequently used by foreign visitors to the city, the staff are friendly I don't mind staying there again.but do your reservations online before you go there otherwise the cost will be much higher.I will give the hotel 3.5 stars.

I stayed twice in this hotel, second time from April 20th to April 22nd, after a pleasant check in I have gone to my room and noticed that there was no coffee, tea bags or the hot water maker, also there was no water bottle so I can take my medicine. I called the front office and they advised that this will be taken care of immediately. by room service. five hours later I checked again and was advised that there is limited number of coffee makers so I would get it when one would become available that of course never happened and until I left two days later there was no coffee, tea or even water bottle. I stayed on three other hotels during my stay in Cairo, Alexandria and Sharm el Sheikh and honestly this was the only hotel that didn't provide this simple service. According to the front office if I needed a sip of clean water I would have to call room service. When I booked the room a month in advance and it should have been equipped. other than that everything was more than satisfactory..

- Verified traveler (8/5): 5days in Cairo - Very good location, could be a little noisy because all the cars and honking (a general thing in Cairo). The hotel in overall was good. Some minor things: the drinking water is free only the first night (one bottle only per room for the first night only), then you need to buy (very cheap to buy from stores/kiosks, expensive to buy from the horel). Wifi in the room was weak and loses connection now and then. air conditioning sounded a little but they fixed it the next day. Connecting to the hotel was a bar, very good food and drinks, and clean. The pictures are taken from the hotel main entrance.

- Maria del Pilar (8/5): Safe and easy stay - The hotel is located in a safe area and close to restaurants, you can go around for a walk and enjoy Nile river, even you can rent a Feluca just here! the staff was very kind, the room was clean the whole time. In breakfast some ingredients wasn’t fresh.
- Jesus Martin (10/5): Great Choice - My wife stayed here for 3 nights and it was just what we needed. The pyramids and Egyptian museum are within a 30 minute drive, and the airport about 1 hour away. There are fast food restaurants just a couple of steps away from the hotel. (McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Papa John's)
- Verified traveler (4/5): - The partial view of the Nile, was just a glimpse out a dirty window, past a dirty building towards a construction site. The wifi was terrible, not really working although there was a signal. Select what you wanted to view go brush your teeth and come back and it might be 50% loaded. Worst of our three weeks in Egypt. Staff was nice, but the room was a shoe box compared to what we received when we paid the same rate in other hotels in Egypt. Keep looking.

- Siraj (10/5): Haba Haba Flamenco! - The stay was excellent and so was the service. However, the hotel does need to refurbish some of its furniture and fixtures as they are old e.g. the doors and door handles were creaking a lot. Need to personalize the key cards as well.
- Verified traveler (4/5): Water and Hot Water Shortages at a 4 Star HOTEL - This hotel is nothing like the pictures. It is fairly outdated. It smells of smoke even in the non-smoking rooms. During my stay, I woke up to no water on 3 days and no hot water on 5 days. This lasted for hours prohibiting guests from showering before business meetings. The hotel is much simpler than the pictures portray. I am fine with simple, but it must be clean, smokefree in smokefree rooms and have adequate water. It was more like staying in a youth hostel.
