- Joan (8/5): Second stay left something to be desired - Melia is located in in South Kensington in a mixed neighborhood of other hotels, small restuarants and independent shops. The hotel rooms were wonderful, except for my second stay at the end of my trip. I was basically in a very expensive closet! though it had all the amenities, but no place to hang clothes except a cramped space by the doorway with a few hangers.Staff was very good, very accommodating. Breakfast was also very good. Lovely Indian restaurant just two doors down.

- Kareem (10/5): Our Kensington Go-to - Had the best time staying at Melia with my family of 5. It had everything you needed for a comfortable and luxurious stay. The staff were so attentive and always available. They made the stay memorable and easy for us. The hotel has a beautiful London charm to it and is well maintained. The decor was chic, inviting, and lovely. We will always stay here when we visit London. It was quiet and easy for us to sleep through the night. The only issue was the design of the shower made it easy for water to fall outside of the shower but it didn’t bother us too much because the tile dried quickly and they have floor mats.
- Diane (2/5): - Stayed in room 507 which was in the basement and not only did the room have an awful view of a wall it was it was extremely, extremely noisy from above and outside as well. Our nights were very disruptive. Having raised the complaint to reception we were offered a smaller room the following day go 3pm. Unfortunately this was not convenient as we were attending a family wedding. We were promised an email with recompense but nothing has been received and unfortunately we were very disappointed with our stay at the Melia for the money we paid

Great neighborhood, easy access to the tube and bars, restaurants, shopping and parks. Service was impeccable. Laila (front desk) was very helpful with restaurant recommendations.

Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. It is on a busy road but quiet inside. One thing that was a surprise was the perfume in the lobby but that seems to be a thing in the hotels here.

- Raymond (10/5): - This is the most fabulous property. They had it decorated for Wimbledon and gave us strawberries and cream and a Pims upon arrival. The lobby is beautiful, the room was comfortable, clean, and beautiful! Any request we had was promptly granted and the Italian restaurant, “Da Mario,” within walking distance is a must but make a reservation a day or more before. The Indian restaurant next door was wonderful and super fast for take out. The tube is just across the street less than a block. I loved staying here and would stay here again without a second thought. Excellent staff, too!
- Keira (8/5): - Melia Hotel is conveniently located just a couple blocks from the subway in the lovely neighborhood of South Kensington. We enjoyed walking to Hyde Park and the History and Science museums. The hotel is a beautiful old building retrofitted with modern amenities and furnishings. The staff was always helpful and quick to assist. The only downsides are the rather small rooms with no closets (just a wardrobe for hanging clothes) and the sound proofing leaves much to be desired. If you’re claustrophobic and/or a light sleeper this might not be the place for you.

The service was excellent and the location was perfect, as it was close to the tube and lovely restaurants/cafes. We felt very safe in the area. The decor of the hotel was tastefully done. It smelled so good in the lobby and the fresh flowers were such an elegant touch. The breakfast every morning was very delicious as well. The rooms are nicely furnished, but small and cozy. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone.

Walkable to the Kensington garden and close to a lot of shops and restaurants. It's pretty convenient in my opinion. The only downside is that the bathroom need a little upgrade and they need to do a better job on cleaning it as well. Especially the grout and corner areas due to there are built up molds. The bottom door looked pretty worn out too.. Overall. A good stay. Other than that. The room in general is pretty spacious and clean.

So, when we saw this one available in Kensington—our favorite spot in London—we decided to give it a try. We were not disappointed. From the timely communication with management, who responded promptly to our questions, to the smooth check in-out process, every aspect of our stay was handled with utmost professionalism. The room was clean and comfortable, the breakfast was superb, and the staff overall was very attentive. We will definitely stay there again.

Many attractions like Victoria and Albert museum, Royal Natural History museum, Royal Albert Hall within walking distance.

- sonia (6/5): - This hotel is a refurbished home, I was in room 120 above the kitchen with NO views, windows had a covering over them . The room had low ceilings, low lighting and just made me feel claustrophobic. Breakfast at 22 pounds was not good. This place had a high rating and I was just disappointed and should have just booked the double tree around the corner.
- Jeremy (6/5): - Great location near subway and hotel was fine. Breakfast was terrible over priced 22 pounds per person not worth it at all
- Andy (10/5): - Very helpful staff, clean room, lots of amenities (slippers, bottled water, coffee, toothbrush kit, etc), big fluffy bath towels. Only very minor complaint would be that the bathroom was a little bit squishy (the toilet is facing the shower wall and I kept having to maneuver myself onto the toilet to avoid hitting my head or arm on it). Great stay here and would definitely stay again.
- Richard (6/5): - The area was clean, safe, and had easy access to transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel itself seemed to be under some construction with uneven floors and cracked walls. My room was located below ground floor and staff continued to ask why I was there even after I checked in! I was located by the front door and I could clearly hear staff talking up in the lobby.

- Alexis (10/5): - We stayed in a junior suite with our 8 year old and it was perfect! Quiet and enough space with a door closing between the two rooms. There was enough space in the hotels mini fridge to store some yogurt and milk for easy breakfast. Definitely recommend this hotel

- Anna (10/5): - Beautiful hotel! The bedroom was big and the section of the room with the pull out bed had its own bathroom and privacy. Train station one block down, lots of food spots to walk to. Overall the room was great!
- Jamie (2/5): - We had no hot water for the entirety of our stay. They said they had fixed it but it was not. Even the room we were moved to did not have hot water. This happens, but the way the manager handled it was very poor and I would not go back ever again
- antonia (10/5): - Very pretty, simple but sophisticated. Bathroom is tiny, but one of the best showers I have had in years. Staff very responsive and nice. Bit noisy, both from street and noise from above. Get top floor? Would easily stay again especially given the price and neighborhood.

- ALEJANDRA (6/5): - Noisy in the room upstairs. Very small family room, tiny bathroom. The hotel was making construction or renovations and we could not use the elevator. Easy acces to Underground only 2 blocks away.
- ARIANA (6/5): - For the price- not worth it. The bathroom had mold and the walls were very thin- we were unable to go to sleep until well past 2am due to so much noise. I would expect much better for almost $300 per night. The neighborhood is beautiful, we will be choosing a different hotel next visit.
- Stephanie (6/5): - Starting with the positive: The staff was amazing, very customer oriented and helpful. The facilities and overall room very clean. Located in a nice area and walking to many attractions was convenient. However, the room and in-room ammenities were disappointing. The room was too small for two singles sharing a King room. There was no room for our suitcases and had 1 drawer to share with minimal space to hand clothes up. The lighting was very dim and, no outlets in the bathroom which made getting ready to go out for dinner etc very challenging. We found ourselves "climbing over" each other to get dressed, dry our hair, do make up etc. Finally, staff did come in each day to make bed and provide clean towels but did not tidy, replace cups, coffee etc. Overall, nice hotel but not as comfortable accomodations as I would have expected and preferred.
- Abigail (10/5): - Excellent in every way! We arrived early in the morning after a long flight and they went out of their way to allow us to check in early so we could refresh and relax. The hotel is gorgeous and very convenient location to tube station. Highly recommend.

- DAVID (10/5): - This hotel was great! Clean, modern and spacious rooms (we had the Jnr Suite), attentive and friendly staff as well! Directly across the road from the Gloucester St tube stop with quick access to central London via the Circle, District and Picadilly lines. Would easily stay again!

- Perla (10/5): - I stay at Melia Hotels every opportunity I have. Meliá London provided impeccable service and attention to detail. Their recommendations from dining to shopping were superb. The miniature birthday cake and birthday card…exceptional!
- Kacianne (10/5): - Beautiful older hotel, is just steps away from the Gloucester Station Tube station, but almost in a neighborhood setting. The property was undergoing renovations while we were there. New door locks (we had to reprogram our key several times), dining room was being renovated (so no dinner at hotel was available). Housekeeping was on pointe, however, we only received washcloths every third day. The linens were fluffy and soft. Coffee service in the room was Nespresso everyday and complimentary. Snacks and drinks were available all day in the lobby.
- Simone (8/5): - It was overall a nice stay. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms were small but cute. Walls are really thin. I don’t like the fact the doors are locked after 12 into the entrance. You have to wait for someone to physically come unlock it. Other than that I enjoyed my stay.

- Lisa (10/5): London Kensington beauty and ease! - This hotel was a great find, perfect location for us. We had space to work and relax, staff was always on hand. The breakfast was everything one could hope for! The Royal Albert Hall in walking distance was the prize.
